In a companion paper, we requested the Judicial Commission to correct the type strain of Aeromonas punctata from ATCC 15468T to NCMB 74T (=ATCC 23309T). Correction of this error on the 1980 Approved Lists by an Opinion of the Judicial Commission will remove the status of the name Aeromonas caviae as a junior objective synonym of A. punctata . This is important because the scientific community continues to use the name A. caviae almost exclusively instead of A. punctata . However, the corrective action of this Opinion will cause a new problem. A. punctata and A. eucrenophila will then become ob

The easiest option would be to ask the author of The Cinnamon Shops whether it was him who many years ago wrote in German and published in the Montenegro periodical Cetinjer Zeitung two stories: “Du bist Staub” and “Pfennig mit dem Auge.” Had he said “yes,” these two unusual narratives would be included in the oeuvre of Bruno Schulz. His literary identity would have been upheld (enhanced) and confirmed. But what is the literary identity? We know full well that the foundation of an individual identity is memory which selects and integrates the particles of a particular existence. There is no id

Despite not being the first to introduce the haiku to Brazil, nor the one who first wrote the haiku in Portuguese, he is the most famous one, and consequently contributed enormously for the spreading of this poetry form in the country.
