Abstract:
Neste trabalho pretendemos mostrar como ocorreu a circulação de matemáticos da Itália para o Brasil por meio da missão italiana, mais especificamente a vinda dos professores de matemática estrangeiros Achille Bassi (1907-1973) e Gabriele Mammana (1893-1942) para trabalharem na recém-criada Faculdade Nacional de Filosofia (FNFi) da então Universidade do Brasil (UB), atualmente Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Dentre as questões abordadas, elucidaremos como se deu a contratação desses matemáticos, a escolha desses nomes, em quais áreas eles trabalharam, se contribuíram na formação

Abstract:
The aim of the study is to analyse artwork of Ernests Brastins (1892-1942) and Arvids Brastins (1893-1984) from the point of view of content and iconology, and the formal structure of work, which helps to reveal the author’s ideological direction. Using the comparative method, the visual text (artwork) is compared to the verbal (folklore) text, in an attempt to find parallels to the way they reflect Latvian mythological conceptions. This article contains main information on designing the historical atlas of the Holocaust in Ukraine. The goal of creating the atlas is to demonstrate preconditions, progress and aftermath of the Holocaust in Ukraine. Geographical constants are the quantitative values of the main characteristics of a territory, which give an idea of its location, integrity, spatial certainty and information about its components.
