Kimberley Phillips adds a fine study of African-Americans' northward migration, community development, and working-class formation to a series of similar works published in the 1980s and 1990s. Alabama North opens new reaches of African-Americans' early twentieth century experience in both North and South, but especially in Cleveland, a major industrial city and significant destination for Southern black migrants. We have known most about the city's African-American community at this time from the landmark study of ghetto development by Ken Kusmer, published in 1976. Like the more recent field

These include necessary additions and corrections based on much-appreciated suggestions from our colleagues, as well as our own research. Our ultimate goal is to assemble a complete list of available Coleoptera family-group names published up to the end of 2010 (including information about their spelling, author, year of publication, and type genus). The following 59 available Coleoptera family-group names are based on type genera not included in Bouchard et al. (2011): Prothydrinae Guignot

Context. We present the results of a new analysis of three long Rossi-XTE observations of the microquasar GRS 1915+105 in the ρ class, performed in 1997, 1999, and 2000, and characterized by different peak profiles. The first data set, labeled G-1, is dominated by a single peak, while in the third observation (G-3), all bursts show a clearly detectable couple of peaks. The second observation (G-2) shows an intermediate structure with a single peak and an emerging shoulder on the decay side. Aims. We devised a new procedure to obtain mean burst profiles in every energy channel independently of

Common ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia var. elatior (L.) Descourt.) was introduced to Europe from North America during the nineteenth century. Since the early 1990s, it has become the most widespread and most important allergenic weed in Hungary. In July 1999, during the annual survey of fungal diseases of ragweed in Hungary, plants exhibiting irregular brown spots surrounded by yellowish halos with small black spherical bodies on the upper surface of leaves, especially along the vessels, were collected from three roadside sites.
