New Research of Tuva, no. 3 (September 5, 2020): 111–27. http://dx.doi.org/10.25178/nit.2020.3.8.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The first labor code of the Turkish Republic was enacted in 1936 and became effective in 1937. The most significant feature of this code was the time taken by the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TGNA) to legislate it. Negotiations began in 1925 with discussions of the Service Code draft bill. In the course of fifteen years TGNA discussed five draft bills and in 1936 a final draft was accepted. Between then and 1950, when the Republican People's Party (RPP) lost the election to the Democrat Party (DP), the scope of the labor code was extended without any alteration in its ideological content.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to literary critic Il'ya Gruzdev. Published in 1925, an essay on the biography of Maxim Gorky, firmly linked the two names. Since that time, the author had firmly established a creative characteristic: the biographer of Maxim Gorky. The article considers other facets of literary and literary talent of Il'ya Gruzdev. The origin of the textology of Maxim Gorky's works of art is connected with his name. He was the compiler and editor of two editions of the works of the proletarian literature founder in the "State publishing house of fiction" in 1928-1930 and 1931-1934. For the researchers of Maxim Gorky's work, as a huge factual material, there is a correspondence between Maxim Gorky and Il'ya Gruzdev, which lasted from 1925 to 1936 (it was published in 1961). The article touches upon the issues of Il'ya Gruzdev's creative work after Maxim Gorky's death (1936). In the period from 1939 to 1941, he was the editor of Leningrad magazine "Zvezda" (Star). Attention is drawn to the bibliographic work of Il'ya Gruzdev, who was the author of a number of bibliographic books devoted to Maxim Gorky.

Abstract:
The taxonomy and natural history of the ant genus Crematogaster are reviewed for the Costa Rican fauna. Thirtyone species are known, and a key is provided for these and two additional species from adjacent regions of Panama. Species boundaries are evaluated over their entire range when possible. The taxonomic history of the genus is one of unbridled naming of new species and subspecies, with no synthetic works or keys. Major taxonomic changes are proposed, with the recognition of several polytypic species with very broad ranges and the synonymization of the many names associated with them. Crematogaster pygmaea Forel 1904, suturalis Forel 1912, ornatipilis Wheeler 1918, erici Santschi 1929, and chacoana Santschi 1933 are synonymized under abstinens Forel 1899; centralis Santschi 1932 under acuta (Fabricius 1804); aruga Forel 1913 under arcuata Forel 1899; ludio Forel 1912, armandi Forel 1921, inca Wheeler 1925, and cocciphila Borgmeier 1934 under brasiliensis Mayr 1878; parabiotica Forel 1904 under carinata Mayr 1862; brevispinosa Mayr 1870, minutior Forel 1893, schuppi Forel 1901, recurvispina Forel 1912, sampaioi Forel 1912, striatinota Forel 1912, townsendi Wheeler 1925, and chathamensis Wheeler 1933 under crinosa Mayr 1862; barbouri Weber 1934 under cubaensis Mann 1920; antillana Forel 1893, sculpturata Pergande 1896, kemali Santschi 1923, accola Wheeler 1934, phytoeca Wheeler 1934, panamana Wheeler 1942, and obscura Santschi 1929 under curvispinosa Mayr 1870; descolei Kusnezov 1949 under distans Mayr 1870; projecta Santschi 1925 under erecta Mayr 1866; carbonescens Forel 1913 under evallans Forel 1907; palans Forel 1912, ascendens Wheeler 1925, and dextella Santschi 1929 under limata F. Vorspann Am 7.

Nemonova inspiracija konstruktivizmom, postkubizmom i geometrijskom stilizacijom interpretira se u kontekstu suvremenih pravaca, umjetničkih grupa i njihovih nositelja u Bruxellesu 20-ih i 30-ih godina 20. stoljeća. Analiziraju se veze Oscara Nemona s René Magritteom i nadrealizmom. Analiziraju se, stilski determiniraju i valoriziraju do sada neistraženi primjeri modernističke skulpture u Nemonovu briselskom opusu, pri čemu se razmatraju stilske odrednice: kubizam, konstruktivizam, art déco, ekspresionizam.

Abstract:
The jumping spider tribe Thiodinini is revised at generic level: diagnoses are proposed for all valid genera, based on the type species of each genus, and in some cases, on new species herein described. The tribe contains seven genera: Thiodina Simon, 1900; Cyllodania Simon, 1902; Hyetussa Simon, 1902; Atomosphyrus Simon, 1902; Arachnomura Mello-Leitão, 1917, Titanattus Peckham & Peckham, 1885 and the new genus Tartamura gen. nov. The following genera are synonymized: Micalula Strand, 1932 and Bredana Gertsch, 1936 with Hyetussa Simon, 1902; Agelista Simon, 1900 with Titanattus Peckham & Peckham, 1885. With this, the following new combinations are established: Hyetussa longithorax (Petrunkevitch, 1925) comb. nov. (this species with a neotype designation), from Micalula, and Hyetussa complicata (Gertsch, 1936) comb. nov. and Hyetussa alternata (Gertsch, 1936) comb. nov., both from Bredana. A transfer is proposed: Thiodina minuta comb. nov. (from Cyllodania). Twelve new species are described: Arachnomura querandi sp. nov.; Cyllodania trinidad sp. nov.; Cyllodania zoobotanica sp. nov.; Hyetussa sergipe sp. nov.; Hyetussa tremembe sp. nov.; Tartamura agatelin sp. nov.; Tartamura huao sp. nov.; Tartamura metzneri sp. nov.; Thiodina firme sp. nov.; Thiodina perian sp. nov.; Titanattus acanjuba sp. nov. and Titanattus euryphaessa sp. nov. Abstract:
This paper sketches the history of the International Training Commission (ITC). Founded in 1925 to propagate the Berlin system of psychoanalytic training with its tripartite structure and the exclusive responsibility of the Training Committee in training matters, the Commission went through several storms (lay analysis), seemed to have reached quiet waters when in 1932 IPA guidelines for training were passed, but under the constant pressure of American opposition had to give up all legislative and controlling powers in 1936, changing into a mere platform of sharing experiences, until it was finally paralysed when in 1938 American psychoanalysis declared its organizational independence of the IPA. The Berlin system of training spread all the same, but it did so by different means. In an Appendix a correspondence between Franz Alexander and Max Eitingon of February/March 1938 is documented, dealing with the ‘Marienbad affair’ and with the issue of American independence from ITC regulation.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The Catholic Flemish Nation Union was the gathering of the district-based unions that the supporters of the Flemish Movement under the leadership of Member of Parliament Frans Van Cauwelaert wanted to take over in order to impose Dutch on the authorities as the single language in Flanders. The party was not officially organised on a federal basis in Belgium until 1936, and for this reason the KVL would then lose its significance. Meanwhile a large number of its supporters, in particular those from the intellectual middle classes had transferred its allegiance to the nationalists, in spite of the fact that the KVL had radicalised its stance in order to prevent this. The professional associations of Christian workers, farmers and small businesses constituted the main supporters, with whom the KVL could have carried out its original programme.

Abstract:
John Ford’s Hollywood film of the Easter Rising, The Plough and the Stars (1936), based on Sean O’Casey’s play from ten years earlier, deserves more respect than it has generally been given. Its departures from O’Casey’s text, giving a more positive view of the Rising, were openly debated with him, and can be seen as resulting less in betrayal than in creative dialogue. The film has a clear relation to other inter-war films about historic Revolutions — Russian (Battleship Potemkin, USSR 1925), French (A Tale of Two Cities, US 1935) and American (Ford’s own Drums Along the Mohawk US 1939) — and can be viewed, in retrospect, as a pivotal film within Ford’s career, inspiring him to a fuller and more consistent engagement with Irish themes and with American nation-building narratives, and the interaction between the two.

Abstract:

WAS MUSSOLINI ARROGANT? REFLECTIONS ON A BIOGRAPHY OF BENITO MUSSOLINI The article is a review of a book by the Swedish writer and journalist Göran Hägg entitled Mussolini. En studie i makt published in Poland in 2015 as Mussolini. Butny faszysta [Mussolini. An Arrogant Fascist]. By focusing on elements which distinguished Mussolini’s dictatorship from Adolf Hitler’s Third Reich and Joseph Stalin’s Soviet Union, Hägg subscribes to the view, present in contemporary historiography, that the Italian version of totalitarianism was “incomplete”. Stressing the mass support for the regime in 1925–1936, the author links the Duce’s gradual fall from power to mistakes in internal and foreign policy in the second half of the 1930s, especially to the adoption of the racist laws of 1936 as well as Italy’s accession to the Anti-Comintern Pact and participation in the Second World War on Germany’s side. What the author considers to have been unquestionably misguided moves which sealed the fate of the Italian leader on 25 April 1945 were his decisions taken during the existence of the Italian Social Republic, namely: 1 creation of internment and concentration camps for Italian Jews; 2 ruthless fight against the anti-fascist resistance movement; and 3 massacres of civilians by SS troops and fascist republicans in northern Italy in 1944–1945.

Abstract:
All recent work has assigned the genera Cheilocephalus Berkey, 1898 and Oligometopus Resser, 1936 to the family Cheilocephalidae Shaw, 1956, a small group of largely Laurentian trilobites from the Late Cambrian Steptoean Stage. New data from Nevada and Newfoundland indicate that the Cheilocephalidae is polyphyletic and that Cheilocephalus and Oligometopus are allied with different superfamilies. The Cheilocephalidae, which includes Cheilocephalus and Pseudokingstonia Palmer, 1965, is assigned to the Dameselloidea Kobayashi, 1935, and a pygidium from the Cow Head Group of Newfoundland indicates that Cheilocephalus first appears in the late Marjuman. The Dameselloidea disappeared on other continents at an extinction interval at the end of the Marjuman, but Cheilocephalus survived and underwent modest diversification in Laurentia in the succeeding Steptoean Stage. Oligometopus is transferred to the leiostegioidean family Leiostegiidae Bradley, 1925. The genus shows closest affinities with such Gondwanan genera as Idamea Whitehouse, 1939, and its appearance in mid-Steptoean strata records immigration of the Leiostegoidea into shelf-margin environments of Laurentia.

Abstract:
The study deals with the net-winged beetle genus Cautires Waterhouse, 1879, which is distributed mainly in the rain forests of the Oriental region. We discuss morphology and relationships among Oriental Metriorrhynchini and we propose Bulenides Waterhouse, 1879 to be a junior subjective synonym of Cautires Waterhouse, 1879. Almost all species previously classified in Bulenides were studied, transferred to Cautires and they were placed in C. obsoletus and C. pauper groups, both proposed here. The C. obsoletus species group from Indo-Burma is reviewed and seven species, which are new to science, are described: Cautires bolavensis sp. n. (Laos), C. matsudai sp. n. (Thailand), C. kundratai sp. n. (Thailand), C. dembickyi sp. n. (India), C. hergovitsi sp. n. (Laos), C. jendeki sp. n. (Laos), and C. yunnanus sp. n. (China). These species are placed in the Cautires obsoletus group. C. testaceus (Pic, 1921) and C. regalis (Kleine, 1929) from the same region are redescribed and also placed in the C. obsoletus group. A key to the C. obsoletus species group from Indo-Burma is presented, and their distribution and biology are briefly discussed. The following new combinations are proposed for the species transferred from Bulenides and placed in the Cautires obsoletus group: Cautires adventicius (Kleine, 1926), comb. n., C. apicalis (Pic, 1925), comb. n., C. ater (Pic, 1921), comb. n., C. atropunctatus (Pic, 1925), comb. n., C. basilanus (Pic, 1925), comb. n., C. adumbratus (Kleine, 1926), comb. n., C. aterrimus (Kleine, 1926), comb. n., C. bicoloratus (Kleine, 1930), comb. n., C. coccineus (Kleine, 1930), comb. n., C. cognatus (Bourgeois, 1883), comb. n., C. corporaali (Pic, 1921), comb. n., C. duplicatus (Kleine, 1928), comb. n., C. imitator (Kleine, 1930), comb. n., C. inhumeralis (Pic, 1921), comb. n., C. javanicus (Bourgeois, 1883), comb. n., C. lineatus (Pic, 1921), comb. n., C. longissimus (Pic, 1921), comb. n., C. obsoletus (Waterhouse, 1878), comb. n., C. nebulosus (Kleine, 1930), comb. n., C. nigromaculatus (Pic, 1925), comb. n., C. pudicus (Kleine, 1931), comb. n., C. purpureus (Pic, 1922), comb. n., C. regalis (Kleine, 1929), comb. n., C. reticulatus (Kleine, 1930), comb. n., C. rianganus (Pic, 1925), comb. n., C. sijthoffi (Kleine, 1926), comb. n., C. singularithorax (Pic, 1925), comb. n., C. testaceus (Pic, 1921), comb. n., and C. triangularis (Kleine, 1930), comb. n. The following species are transferred to the Cautires pauper group: C. pauper (Waterhouse, 1878), comb. n., C. arens (Kleine, 1926), comb. n., C. argilosus (Kleine, 1926), comb. n., C. lyciformis (Kleine, 1932), comb. n., C. malayensis (Kleine, 1930), comb. n., C. nigricolor (Pic, 1925), comb. n., and C. turbidus (Waterhouse, 1878), comb. n. Several species are transferred to Cautires without an assignment to the species group: C. aridus (Kleine, 1926), comb. n., C. basalis (Pic, 1925), comb. n., C. dubius (Waterhouse, 1878), comb. n., C. flavoreticulatus (Kleine, 1932), comb. n., C. longeareolatus (Kleine, 1936), comb. n., C. papuanus (Kleine, 1935), comb. n., C. philippinensis (Kleine, 1930), comb. n., C. socius (Kleine, 1935), comb. n. Several homonyms in Cautires resulted from new combinations and new names are proposed: Cautires pseudoapicalis nom. n. (for Cautires apicalis Kleine, 1926 preoccupied by Cautires apicalis (Pic, 1925)), Cautires borneensis nom. n. (for Cautires bicoloratus Kleine, 1932 preoccupied by Cautires bicoloratus (Kleine, 1930)), Cautires sundaicus nom. n. (for Cautires javanicus Kleine, 1927 preoccupied by Cautires javanicus (Bourgeois, 1883)), Cautires fruhstorferi nom. nov. (for Cautires lineatus (Pic, 1921) preoccupied by Cautires lineatus (Hope in Gray, 1831)), Cautires slamatensis nom. nov. (for Cautires obsoletus Kleine, 1926 preoccupied by Cautires obsoletus (Waterhouse, 1878)), Cautires kinabalensis nom. nov. (for Cautires lyciformis (Kleine, 1932) preoccupied by Cautires lyciformis Pic, 1922), Cautires johannesi nom. n.
