The article is devoted to the features of the unique artistic system of the Italian composer Luciano Berio (1925-2003) called musical phonology, presented on the example of the composition “Visage” (1961). In the 1950s, Berio and his colleagues at the electroacoustic studio Studio di Fonologia Musicale were interested about phonology as a branch of linguistics, based on the fundamental work of N. S. Trubetskoy “Fundamentals of phonology.” The main aspects of this book Berio creatively embodied in compositions for voice and gradually developed in his work a new approach to the unity of words and musical sound.

Abstract:
Feral goats in the 34 169 ha Egmont National Park (North Island, New Zealand) have been subject to sustained ground-based hunting with dogs since 1925. We analysed trends in hunting success from 1961 to 1999. During 1961–86 the catch per unit effort (CPUE) declined from 7 kills hunter–1 day–1 to <1 kill hunter–1 day–1. Since 1987 the CPUE has been maintained at low levels. The key impediment to switching from a strategy of sustained control to eradication is whether or not all goats can be put at risk. We suggest that managers test this experimentally in part of the park before embarking on an eradication programme. On the basis of an empirical estimate of rm and an assumption of logistic growth, we estimated the current population to be ~1047 animals. Removing 50% or 90% of the population annually would eradicate the population in >50 years or 12 years, respectively. Annual immigration of goats would prevent eradication under all scenarios.

The article is devoted to literary critic Il'ya Gruzdev. Published in 1925, an essay on the biography of Maxim Gorky, firmly linked the two names. Since that time, the author had firmly established a creative characteristic: the biographer of Maxim Gorky. The article considers other facets of literary and literary talent of Il'ya Gruzdev. The origin of the textology of Maxim Gorky's works of art is connected with his name. He was the compiler and editor of two editions of the works of the proletarian literature founder in the "State publishing house of fiction" in 1928-1930 and 1931-1934. For the researchers of Maxim Gorky's work, as a huge factual material, there is a correspondence between Maxim Gorky and Il'ya Gruzdev, which lasted from 1925 to 1936 (it was published in 1961). The article touches upon the issues of Il'ya Gruzdev's creative work after Maxim Gorky's death (1936). In the period from 1939 to 1941, he was the editor of Leningrad magazine "Zvezda" (Star). Abstract:
SummaryFrantz Fanon (1925–1961), a West Indian of mixed race, was a French colonial psychiatrist trained in Lyon, France, who worked mainly in colonial North Africa between 1953 and 1957. He was one of the earliest psychiatrists to suggest that the lived experience of ethnic minorities within a discriminatory colonial environment could trigger mental illness. This article focuses on Fanon's work and contributions to psychiatry, as well as his philosophy, advocacy for social inclusion and pioneering work in culturally relevant rehabilitation. It also examines what lessons could be learnt from his life's work as a psychiatrist and traces his influence on a generation of psychiatric researchers, suggesting how his contribution may have influenced critical thought and current views.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The Pantheon of Polish Culture (1953–1961) by Xawery Dunikowski – Between Artistry and Sculpture Dependent on Ideology The text describes the post-war series of portrait sculptures by Xawery Dunikowski – which not often are a subject of substantial analysis – in which the artist refers to his pre-war Wawel Heads (1925–1928). The extended approach to the artistic merit of the work (style) has been augmented with its contextual setting (the circumstances of its creation, ideological references) to indicate the significant formal and thematic ambivalence of the cycle as well as its multifaceted quality. In his sculpted heads Dunikowski manifests his curiosity as to the human individual, artistically reinterpreting the peculiarly Olympian, deified representatives of communism. Above all, it confirms the stylistic autonomy of the Pantheon, which dominates over ideological dependencies. At the same time Dunikowski attests to his undisputed craftsmanship as the doyen of Polish sculpture – the insightful realist and muckraker.

Abstract:
Abstract Among the women pilots prominent during the American between-the-wars years, Margery Brown (1892–1961) set no records and made no thrilling flights. During the “Golden Age of American Aviation” (1925–40), however, she published eight articles that established her as an articulate voice advocating aviation as a benefit to America’s women. She postulated a technologically based utopia in which the transformative power of aviation would bring about a new freedom for those women who chose to embrace it. Flight would allow women to demonstrate their ability to master a new and sophisticated technology. They would gain moral discipline and would shed the cultural limitations that had for so long held them back. They would abolish gender discrimination in the air, achieving a transcendent degree of liberation and a new freedom, all gained through the agency of flight.

Abstract:

Abstract:
This article discusses two relatively unknown works of Yilmaz Güney in the English-speaking world: Boynu Bükük Öldüler (They Bowed their Heads in Shame),1 a semi-autobiographical novel, which in 1972 won the Orhan Kémel prize, and Arkadaş (The Friend), a film released in Turkey by Güney Film in 1974. More than ten years separate these two works. The Fields of Yuréghir was written during Güney’s imprisonment from 1960 to 1963, a period marked by the military coup of 27 May 1960, which lasted until 1961 and a series of coalition governments from 1961 to 1965 under the premiership of İsmet İnönü (1884-1973) of the Republican Party. Arkadaş was filmed in 1974 against the backdrop of the Turkish invasion of Northern Cyprus in August 1974, a time of great patriotic fervour under the charismatic and left-leaning premiership of Bülent Ecevit (1925-2006). Güney had by then experienced considerable success as a filmmaker and actor. Arkadaş is a product of this favourable constellation of circumstances, both political and personal, that marked this brief period that was abruptly ended by his imprisonment in September 1974. The article is divided into the following sections: a short biography of Yilmaz Güney; a summary of The Fields of Yuréghir and Arkadaş; a thematic analysis of the two works under the headings of political engagement, sexual mores, religion, and national identity; and a conclusion.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Negotin Krajina geographically belongs to Mezian tablet that means it is widely open to the influences from the East but main air influences come from the West and North-West causes specific thermal characteristics. Meteorological station "Negotin" is the only one respectable station in the Krajina then we analyze results from various periods since 1901. It is important to emphasize that station "Negotin" doesn't have work continuity since the beginning of the century, thus for analyzing certain climate elements we have had to use method of analogy with station "Zajecar". A part of that, observations were not done by the same methodology so there is lack of some important indicators for this first period. To determine air thermo-regime of Negotin Krajina during 20 century, standard periods (1901-1930., 1931-1960. and 1961-1990) for analyzing climate elements suggested by WMO, were compared. Also, periods from 1925. to 1940. and from 1990. to 2000. were added to this analysis (according to data we had).

The fusculum-group of the genus Anthobium Leach, 1819 is defined and briefly discussed. It contains western-palaearctic A. fusculum (Erichson, 1839), with a new synonym Lathrimaeum mesasiaticum Kirschenblat, 1961 syn.n., and fourteen species from the eastern Palaearctic Region, nine of which are described as new: A. besucheti Shavrin & Smetana, sp.n. (central and eastern Nepal), A. capitale Shavrin & Smetana, sp.n. (China: Yunnan, Meili-Xue Shan), A. confucii Shavrin & Smetana, sp.n. (China: Sichuan, Gongga Shan and Erlang Shan; Hubei, Daba Shan), A. cuccodoroi Shavrin & Smetana, sp.n. (India: Uttar Pradesh), A.denticulatum Shavrin & Smetana, sp.n. (central Nepal), A. laozii Shavrin & Smetana, sp.n. (China: Yunnan, Diancang Shan, Yanmen), A. latissimum Shavrin & Smetana, sp.n. (China: Yunnan, Gaoligong Shan), A. liliputense sp.n. (China: Sichuan, Emei Shan) and A. splendidulum Shavrin & Smetana, sp.n. (China: Gaoligong Shan, Meili Xue Shan and Baima Shan). A key to the species of the fusculum group is given. Lectotypes are designated for Lathrimaeum cavicrus Champion, 1925 and L. monticola Cameron, 1924. Additionally, two Himalayan species of the nigrum group defined by Shavrin & Smetana (2017) are presented: A. alticola Coiffait, 1977 comb.nov. (from Deliphrum) and A. flaveolum Shavrin & Smetana, sp.n. (eastern Nepal). The key for the nigrum group was modified. All species are described/redescribed, illustrated and their geographical distribution is mapped. Several members of Anthobium are recorded for the first time from certain area: A. fusculum from Pakistan, A. altivagans (Cameron, 1941), A. cavicrus (Champion, 1925) and A. sociale (Cameron, 1941) from Nepal, and A. monticola (Cameron, 1924) from Pakistan and Nepal.

Abstract:
During the First World War Van de Perre had been sympathetic towards the Front movement and in addition he had provided cause for the suspicion that he was still a crypto activist. His nomination signified a concession to the wishes of the Antwerp Flemish Movement of Frans Van Cauwelaert (1880-1961); at the same time it was directly in opposition to the views of the conservative and Belgian nationalist group of the Catholic Member of Parliament Paul Segers (1870-1946). In spite of his past of “unpatriotic actions” Van de Perre managed to carry off the victory. The anticlimax followed shortly after, however: the recently (re)elected physician submitted his resignation as Member of Parliament. In fact he considered that he could serve the Flemish cause better outside Parliament rather than within. Luc Vandeweyer evokes that period on the basis of a letter to Van de Perre written by Ernest Claes (1885-1968), man of letters and civil servant in the House of Representatives.

Abstract:
Polish-Czechoslovak tourist conventions as an example of transfrontier cooperationThe article provides a general description of Polish-Czechoslovak tourist conventions from inter- and post-war periods. It presents the conditions of signing of these unique international agreements, the decision-making process, as well as the basic principles of the conventions. Overall, the tourist conventions are special kinds mostly bilateral international agreements aimed at simplifying the rules of transfrontier traffic within a region attractive to tourists, such as the Carpathian and Sudetic borderlands. Poland and Czechoslovakia were the precursors of this kind of transfrontier cooperation across Europe. The first tourist convention was signed in 1925 as a direct result of so-called Cracow Protocols, which aimed at regulating economic, communication and tourist issues with Czechoslovakia after the Jaworzyna Spiska conflict. The next tourist agreement of 1955 was adopted as a result of the post-Stalinist Thaw, which allowed a certain liberalization of the border regime between the two countries. The agreement was amended and extended in 1961-1962, and was in force till the early 1980s. The experiences of the functioning of the tourist conventions became a model for Euroregions which stared to emerge in the area under discussion. Moreover, they also served as a model for central authorities in liberalizing the border regime in the 1990s. Generalnie konwencje turystyczne to specyficzny rodzaj, najczęściej bilateralnych, umów międzynarodowych służących uproszczeniu zasad ruchu transgranicznego w obrębie atrakcyjnego turystycznie regionu, w tym przypadku pogranicza karpackiego i sudeckiego. XX wieku.

Abstract:
The establishment of modern Iran in 1925 accelerated a centralisation policy, which resulted in the oppression of Iran’s national and cultural diversity. Under such unfavourable conditions, Kurdish fiction had a stuttering start with only three works since the publication of the first Kurdish novel in 1961 up until 1991, when the number of Kurdish fictional works produced in Iran began to increase steadily. This article addresses the question of commitment and aesthetics in Kurdish prose fiction by examining a short story collection and three novels published between 1961 and 2002. Whereas the earlier Kurdish writers primarily viewed fiction as a medium for cultural preservation and national liberation, around the turn of the 20th century a generation of Kurdish writers appeared who were as equally concerned with aesthetics as with politics.ABSTRACT IN KURMANJIÇîroka kurdî: Ji nivîsîna berxwedanê bo pabendiyeke estetîkAvakirina Îrana modern li sala 1925an lez da siyaseta navendîkirinê, ku bû sebebê fetisandina cihêrengiya neteweyî û çandî ya Îranê. Abstract:
Summary Three species of digenetic trematodes are redescribed based on specimens collected from the intestine of freshwater fishes of Hastinapur and Meerut (U.P.), India: Allocreadium handiai (Pande, 1937) Madhavi, 1980 (Allocreadioidea: Allocreadiidae) from Mystus tengara (Hamilton, 1822) (Siluri-formes: Bagridae), Genarchopsis goppo Ozaki, 1925 (Hemiuroidea: Derogenidae) and Phyllodistomum chauhani Motwani & Srivastava, 1961 (Plagiorchioidea: Gorgoderidae) from Channa punctata (Bloch, 1793) (Perciformes: Channidae). The three species were subjected to morphological, morphometric and molecular analyses. The morphological study revealed that A. handiai, G. goppo and P. chauhani can be distinguished by their congeners on the basis of their morphology. Partial nucleotide sequences of the 28S ribosomal RNA gene were obtained from the three trematode species and deposited in the GenBank. A phylogenetic reconstruction based on the 28S rRNA gene placed the three studied species within their respective families and their validity is discussed. For the first time molecular data of newly collected material of these species from India were used for confirmation of their validity and to assess their phylogenetic relationships.

Abstract:
For a century, Old Frisian has largely remained in the shadows of its Germanic sister languages. While dictionaries, concordances, and grammars have been readily and widely available for learning and researching other Germanic languages such as Middle High German, Middle Low German and Middle English, whose timelines roughly correspond to that of Old Frisian, or their earlier counterparts, e.g., Old High German, Old Saxon and Old English, few materials have been available to scholars of Old Frisian. Moreover, as Siebunga (Boutkan & Siebunga 2005: vii) notes, “not even all Old Frisian manuscripts are available as text editions”1 making the production of comprehensive core research materials more difficult. Consequently, what materials there have been, e.g., von Richthofen (1840), Heuser (1903), Holthausen (1925), and Sjölin (1969), have typically not taken into consideration the full range of extant Old Frisian texts, or have focused on specific major dialects, e.g. Boutkan (1996), Buma (1954, 1961). This has left a gap in the materials available providing an opportunity for Old Frisian scholars to make substantial contributions to the field by filling these gaps.

A bevezetésben a tájfutás nemzetközi történetéről olvashatnak. A kezdetekről: Az első tájfutó versenyről, melyet Bergenben 1897. május 13-án rendeztek. Aztán a folytatásról, ahogyan a tájfutás skandináv eredetű sportággá vált. Az itt kialakuló tájfutás hasonlított leginkább a mai értelemben vet tájékozódási futáshoz. A tájékozódási futás hazai fejlődése két úton haladt, egyrészt a tájékozódási túraversenyek, másrészt a sportág fizikai oldalát, a gyors feladatmegoldást előtérbe helyező egyéni versenyzés jelentette a másik utat. A két fő irány szétválása a Magyar Tájékozódási Futó Szövetség 1970-ben önállóvá válásával valósult meg. Tájfutásban 1966-tól rendeznek világbajnokságot. A cikkben bemutatásra kerülnek a világversenyek. A tájfutó, tájfutás magyar és nemzetközi meghatározásait járjuk körül, bemutatásra kerülnek a szakágak is. Továbbá a sportág tudományos és elmélet dokumentumait, szaklapokat, kiadványokat és könyveket is megemlít a szerző. Végül kitekintünk a sportág lehetséges jövője felé.

Abstract:
The prestigious American Art Deco artist Hildreth Meière provided humanitarian assistance to the victims of the Spanish Civil War and in the Second World War. Acting as the vice-president of the American Spanish Relief Fund created in 1937 and run by P. Francis X. Talbot, S. J. with the goal of helping people affected by the war in the Franco zone, and to also deliver medicine and medical supplies from the United States through diplomatic channels. She visited Spain in 1925, 1938 and 1961. On the first trip she came to see the works of Spanish painters and made contact with important aristocratic families of the time (the Duke of Sotomayor, the Marquises of La Romana and Arcos, the Duchess of Vistahermosa, etc.). In 1938 she started humanitarian aid, collecting money and donations from New York society for orphans of the civil war and acted as a propaganda distributor for the Francoist cause in the United States. On this occasion she met with people familiar with the situation in Spain to solve the problems of humanitarian aid: Luis Bolín, Pablo Merry del Val, Cardenal Gomá, Carmen de Icaza, and Mercedes Sanz Bachiller. Meière actively participated in providing humanitarian aid in the Franco zone during the years of the civil war while also acting as a staunch supporter of the Francoist cause. After the civil war she continued her collaboration to alleviate aid deficiencies in Spain by facilitating the transport of anesthetics, medicines, surgical materials, etc, but her perspective towards Francoism was changing and gradually her ties to Spain weakened. It was only three years before her death in 1961 that she made one last trip to Spain.

Full text
Abstract:
Energy and nutrients flow in diverse pathways across heterogeneous landscapes and tightly link the discrete food webs in local habitats. However, parasitism that enhances allochthonous resource input has not been previously documented. In a well-known example of parasite manipulation of host behaviour, crickets infected by mature hairworms (Nematomorpha) seek and jump into water when the worms reach the free-living stage. We found that a large number of trout (22%–61%), an aquatic predator, preyed on camel crickets (genera Diestrammena Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1888 and Tachycines Adelung, 1902) in September in five Japanese mountain streams where this host–parasite system exists. Trout (Kirikuchi charr, Salvelinus leucomaenis japonicus (Oshima, 1961); red-spotted masu salmon, Oncorhynchus masou ishikawae Jordan and McGregor, 1925) that preyed on crickets frequently ingested hairworms, whereas trout that did not prey on crickets did not ingest hairworms. Our results strongly suggest that hairworms enhance stream salmonid predation on camel crickets. This is the first documentation of parasitism enhancing allochthonous resource input in nature. Trout ingested a greater mass of crickets than other prey species in September, and this energy influx may play an important role in food-web dynamics in headwater streams.

Abstract:
Short-term climate change in South China has been extensively studied based on meteorological or hydrological records. However, tree ring-based long-term climate change research is rare, especially in the Pearl River basin, owing to the difficulty in finding old-aged trees. Here, we present a 200-year tree ring width chronology of Pinus kwangtungensis in the east Pearl River basin with reliable coverage from 1894 to 2014. Based on the significant climate-growth relationship between tree growth and annual self-calibrating Palmer drought severity index (scPDSI) from previous May to current April, the pMay-cApr scPDSI was reconstructed for the period 1894–2014. The reconstruction reveals four dry periods during 1899–1924, 1962–1974, 1988–1994, and 2003–2014, and four wet periods during 1894–1898, 1925–1961, 1975–1987, and 1995–2002. Significant spatial correlations between the reconstructed scPDSI and the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) gridded scPDSI indicate that our reconstruction can effectively represent regional moisture variability in the Pearl River basin. Spatial correlations with global sea surface temperatures (SSTs) show that our reconstruction is negatively correlated with northern and western Pacific SSTs while positively correlated with eastern Pacific SSTs, suggesting that SST variability in these domains strongly affects moisture change in the Pearl River basin.

Abstract:
George McCready Price (1870–1963) is best known as the Canadian-born Seventh-day Adventist amateur geologist who pioneered the idea of a young earth in the early twentieth century. Price laid the foundation for modern “creation science,” which took off decades later, with the publication of Henry Morris and John Whitcomb Jr.'sThe Genesis Floodin 1961. Despite his extensive writings on the details of geology, however, Price admitted that his main objections to evolution were not scientific but “moral” and “philosophical”—the “fruits” of the “corrupt tree” of evolution. Historians have almost entirely neglected this aspect of Price's opus; yet, Price authored a series of works from 1902 to 1925 that, in increasingly alarming tones, blamed evolution for socialism and communism. This article analyzes these works by examining Price's Adventist background, his early experiences working and living in the United States, and the broader political context in which he wrote. It also assesses the impact of Price's political writings on subsequent generations of creationists and conservative evangelicals. Price should be seen as part of the long process by which a New Christian Right was forged from materials including creationism and anticommunism. He was not only a geologist but also a creationist politician.

Abstract:
In the period of the marginal revolution in England, utility was traditionally defined in reference to either desire or pleasure. William Stanley Jevons, for example, referred to pleasure. According to Jevons, utility was actually identical with the addition made to a person's happiness, that is to say to the sum of the pleasure created and the pain prevented (1871, pp. 5354). Henry Sidgwick, Alfred Marshall's spiritual father and mother, criticized this Benthamist perspective (Sidgwick 1883, p. 63) and introduced another definition at Cambridge. By utility of material things, Sidgwick stated, we mean their capacity tosatisfy men's needs and desires (1883, p. 84, emphasis added). Marshall, for his part, repeatedly moved from one meaning to another. In the first edition of his Principles of Economics, the term utility alternatively designated desire or pleasure. Few commentators have noted this double meaning of utility (Homan 1933, p. 224; Stigler 1950, p. 384; Guillebaud 1961, pp. 23637; Aldrich 1996, p. 211). Only Arthur Cecil Pigou (1903) and Jacob Viner (1925, p. 64749) have actually brought out its theoretical implications. No explanation as to the prevalence of this duality or its status in Marshall's welfare economics seems to have been proposed. Such is the intention of this article.

Abstract:
Poseban osvrt dan je razdoblju dvadesetih godina 20. stoljeća kada u Gospić napokon dolazi električna energija, a s njom i moderno svjetlo.

Abstract:
Abstract. The analysis of spatial and temporal regularities of the annual runoff of the transboundary river Alazani (Ganikh), which flows through the territory of Georgia and Azerbaijan, has been carried out. The series on the average annual water discharge of 6 hydrological gauges for the period from 1925 to 2017/2019 was used. It was found that for the researched rivers, the fluctuations of the average annual water discharges are in phase, however, the absence of strict synchronicity in the fluctuations of the annual runoff leads to a decrease in the spatial correlation coefficients. In the studied series of river Alazani (Ganikh) both on the territory of Georgia and Azerbaijan, there is no trend; however, for a number of annual runoff of the Ayrichai River, the main tributary of the r. Alazani (Ganikh), a significant positive trend was revealed. It should be noted that the reason for the nonstationarity is the climate change, the impact of which on runoff has become noticeable in recent decades. It was found that the variance of the second half of the analyzed series increased. The annual runoff of the Alazani (Ganikh) River has changed very little over 1991-2017 / 2019 compared with the period 1961-1990. For the Ayrichai River, the second period is characterized by increased water content. Keywords: River Alazani (Ganikh), Annual runoff, Water discharge, Transboundary river, Runoff change.

Abstract:
From the Democratic Republic of Congo Seeking Independence to the Democratic Republic of Congo which Commemorates Its Independence Celebrations. On June 30, 1960, the independence of the Belgian Congo, once personal possession for 23 years of the Belgian King Leopold II, was proclaimed as the “Republic of the Congo”. Emery-Patrice Lumumba (1925-1961) played a capital role in this emancipation which resulted in the consecration of Joseph Kasavubu as first President of the Republic of Congo and himself, Emery Patrice Lumumba, as Prime Minister. Congo has proclaimed its independence, but the new country remains plagued by violence and infighting. Belgian troops and peacekeepers from the United Nations intervene in the territory as a standoff begins between Kasavubu and Lumumba. On September 14, 1960, Colonel Joseph Désiré Mobutu led a first coup d’état which was followed by the arrest and assassination of Lumumba. The following years would be punctuated by rebellions and fighting interspersed with ceasefires in protest against the dictatorship established by the Mobutu regime after its second coup d’état, five years later, during a new political crisis. After thirty-two years of unchallenged reign, Mobutu was ousted from power by Mzee Laurent Désiré Kabila in May 1997 and since then, it has been difficult to speak of the real independence of the country, which became the Democratic Republic of Congo. Keywords: formal independence, real independence, Independence Day, Zaïre, Democratic Republic of Congo, colonization, decolonization, political emancipation, sovereignty.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The study of Korean ceramics in the modern period was initiated by the discovery of Koryŏ celadon. The first collectors were mainly Europeans and Americans but it was not long before Japanese scholars, namely Yamayoshi Moriyoshi(1859-?) and Yagi Shozaburo(1866-1942), attempted to establish the history of Korean ceramics, introducing Chosŏn dynasty into the history for the first time. Thereafter, Japanese scholars and collectors dominated the study and collection of Korean ceramics. In the 1920s, the Asakawa Noritaka(1884-1964) and Takumi(1891-1931) brothers and Yanagi Muneyoshi(1889-1961) pioneered the collection, evaluation, and study of Chosŏn white porcelain. The collecting, academic research, and public interest were the three main elements that were closely connected to strengthen the understanding of Korean ceramics.
The pioneering activities of the Asakawa brothers and Yanagi did not have a large impact at first, but the high price attained by Goshomaru, a Koryŏ tea bowl, in an auction in 1925, and the so-called Gyerongsan uproar of 1926 attracted public attention, resulting in the 1930s craze for Chosŏn crafts including Chosŏn white porcelain. Large amounts of Chosŏn craft items were shipped from Korea to Japan in the 1930s.
From the 1930s to the 1940s, a new social class emerged in Korea that valued culture and refinement, and collections by Koreans rapidly increased. Although the early role of Japanese collectors and scholars in modern collection and study of Korean ceramics cannot be disputed, by the 1930s, Koreans were starting to take over the role.

Abstract:
Abstract: A rich late Oligocene molluscan fauna from a coastal cliff at Vilsund on the island of Mors, Jylland, Denmark, was studied. A summary of the upper Palaeogene sedimentary sequence in NW Jylland is given and lithostratigraphical and biostratigraphical correlations are suggested. The molluscan fauna contains 120 species, and the nonmolluscs are briefly mentioned. The new species Mitromorpha (Mitrolumna) danica n. sp. and Cerithiopsis vilsundensis n. sp. are established. Mitromorpha (Mitrolumna) danica n. sp. is the first representative of the gastropod genus Mitromorpha Carpenter, 1865 and subgenus Mitrolumna Bucquoy, Dautzenberg & Dollfus, 1883 from the Cenozoic of Denmark. Eubela (s. lat.) zetes (Kautsky, 1925) represents the oldest record of the genus Eubela Dall, 1889. Andersondrillia Schnetler & Beyer, 1990 is considered to be a junior synonym of Benthomangelia Thiele, 1925. The bivalve genus Cubiostrea Sacco, 1897 is recorded from the upper Oligocene of the North Sea Basin for the first time. In the systematical part, several species are treated, including 16 species which have not been recorded previously from the Danish upper Oligocene; a synopsis of the representatives of the genus Streptodictyon Tembrock, 1961 in the Danish Oligocene is also given. Aphanitoma ingerae Schnetler & Palm, 2008 is transferred to the genus Mitromorpha, subgenus Mitrolumna. The fauna is compared with other Danish and German late Oligocene faunas and palaeoecological interpretations are suggested. As many of the mollusc species have not previously been illustrated from the Dan– ish upper Oligocene, the fauna is extensively illustrated. Dinocyst assemblages have been studied to help date the investigated successions. The assemblages indicate that the glauconitic clay from Vilsund should be assigned to the provisionally named stratigraphical Unit X in Śliwińskaet al. (2012) or the lowermost Brejning Formation. Unit X was previously only known from the interval 61.5–67.5 m in the Harre-1 borehole. Schnetler & Beyer (1990) assigned the glauconitic clay in the coastal cliff at Mogenstrup to the Brejning Formation, but dinocyst studies herein indicate that these strata should be assigned either to Unit X, most likely the upper part, or the lowermost Brejning Formation (see Appendix). This interpretation is supported by the foraminifers and the pectinid species Palliolum hausmanni (Goldfuss, 1835). The occurrence of other nearby outcrops of differing Oligocene ages is demonstrated. The outcrops are described and dated by means of dinocysts and foraminifers and include a section showing a depositional contact between the lowermost Rupelian Viborg Formation and Chattian Branden Clay. The age of the Mogenstrup section is also demonstrated by means of dinocysts.

Abstract:
O procedimento metodológico é a pesquisa bibliográfica, analítico-dedutiva. Palavras-chave: Colonialismo. Consciência. Medicina. Política. Sintonias bioéticas.
