Stanisława Dunina-Borkowskiego SJ, cenionego w krajach niemieckojęzycznych filozofa, nauczyciela, wychowawcy i autora poczytnych prac poświęconych wychowaniu. Myśl pedagogiczna tego jezuity, urodzonego we wpływowej polskiej rodzinie szlacheckiej spod Lwowa, nie jest szerzej znana w Polsce. Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie wybranych wątków pedeutologii Stanisława Dunina-Borkowskiego na podstawie analizy jego pedagogicznej autobiografii wydanej w 1926 roku. Autor, posługując się metodą analizy dokumentów osobistych, skoncentrował się na podkreślanym przez Stanisława Dunina-Borkowskiego osobotwórczym znaczeniu autorytetów edukacyjnych dla bycia nauczycielem, na jego predylekcji do jednostek ponadprzeciętnych przygotowywanych do bycia liderami życia społecznego oraz na postulowanym przez niego poszanowaniu potencjału rozwojowego wychowanków, które pozostaje do dzisiaj trwałym dziedzictwem europejskiej myśli pedagogicznej przełomu XIX i XX wieku.

La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la influencia de los factores socioculturales en la violencia contra la mujer. El tipo de investigación fue la básica o teórica, con enfoque cuantitativo de alcance explicativo, diseño no experimental, corte transversal, con el método hipotético – deductivo. La población estuvo constituida por 123 usuarias del programa social JUNTOS, se utilizó la muestra no probabilística, se trabajó con las 123 usuarias por decisión de los investigadores. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario; así mismo, se validó la hipótesis a través de la Chi – Cuadrada. El resultado principal a la que arribo la investigación es que los factores socioculturales influyen significativamente en la violencia contra la mujer en las usuarias del programa social JUNTOS del distrito de Cabana – 2023, bajo un valor de xc 2 (12,916 > 5,9915) con 3 grados de libertad, significancia de vp (0.000) probabilidad menor a (α = 0.05), con un nivel de confianza del 95%, se demuestra que los factores socioculturales influyen significativamente en la violencia contra la mujer, presentando mayor influencia en los roles de género y el machismo. En conclusión se identificó que los roles de género arraigados y el machismo juegan un papel destacado en la perpetuación de la violencia contra las mujeres en esta comunidad. Estos resultados subrayan la importancia de abordar las normas culturales y sociales que sustentan la violencia de género, y destacan la necesidad de intervenciones específicas dirigidas a cambiar estas percepciones y comportamientos en aras de promover relaciones más igualitarias y libres de violencia.

According to the International Code of Phytosociological Nomenclature, a younger name of a syntaxon may be conserved against its older name to improve the stability of the nomenclature and avoid misunderstandings in scientific communication. Here, we propose conserving the name Philonotidion seriataeHinterlang 1992 for arctic-alpine, bryophyte-dominated, non-calcareous spring vegetation against the names Cardamino-MontionBraun-Blanquet 1925, Cardamino-MontionBraun-Blanquet 1926, and MontionMaas 1959. In current vegetation classification systems, the two name-giving taxa of Cardamino-Montion no longer indicate the character of the vegetation corresponding to the nomenclatural type of this alliance and are instead characteristic of other currently distinguished alliances. Maintaining the oldest name Cardamino-Montion in strict adherence to the Code would be a source of errors. In the current vegetation classification systems, two similar but counter-intuitive names would then have to be used: Cardamino-Montion for arctic-alpine springs (although the name-giving taxa are more indicative of montane springs) and Epilobio nutantis-Montion for montane springs (although the name-giving taxon Epilobium nutans is indicative of arctic-alpine vegetation). Hence, there is a risk that the name Cardamino-Montion may gradually become ambiguous. We also propose conserving the name Philonotidion seriatae against Mniobryo-Epilobion hornemanniiNordhagen 1943 to prevent confusion in case of a merger of these alliances. Abstract KRASG12C inhibitors have achieved impressive results in the clinic. However, intrinsic or acquired resistance to therapy invariably develops leading to disease progression in most treated patients. Emerging pre-clinical and clinical evidence points to multiple mechanisms being responsible for resistance to KRASG12C inhibitors, including receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) activation, KRASG12C amplification, activation of alternative signaling pathways including PI3K, mTOR, YAP/TAZ, acquisition of KRAS mutations that would preclude compound binding (e.g. R68S, Y96C/D, H95D/Q/R), conversion of the G12C codon mutation, and additional activating KRAS mutations (G13D, Q61H). In the clinic, many of the described mutations were detected at low frequency, some patients displayed multiple mutations and in 40% of patients no potential driving mutations were identified. It is therefore likely that other non-genetic alterations are also involved in resistance to KRASG12Ci monotherapy. Here, we used preclinical models of KRASG12C non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and colorectal cancer (CRC) to study intrinsic and acquired resistance to KRASG12C inhibitors. Increased expression of the RAS superfamily gene MRAS was observed in most KRASG12C-naïve tumor cells upon treatment with a KRASG12C inhibitors. In line with this, we observed an increase of MRAS-GTP levels in cells treated with KRASG12Ci in vitro. Interestingly, the increase in active MRAS did not lead to concomitant upregulation of MAPK signaling. Long term treatment with adagrasib was used for generating in vitro and in vivo KRASG12C models with acquired resistance to KRASG12Ci. A strong increase in MRAS expression was observed under these conditions, that surpassed the levels seen with short term treatment in naïve models. This data suggests that activation of MRAS-SHOC2-PP1C complex may play a role in compensating for the KRASG12C-driven signaling in both the intrinsic and acquired resistance setting. Knockdown of SHOC2 to baseline levels resulted in re-sensitization to KRASG12Ci monotherapy and to the effects of combinations in adagrasib-resistant NCI-H358 NSCLC cells. Pathway suppression was deepened by combining adagrasib with either a SOS1i (e.g. BI-3406) or SHP2i (e.g. TNO155) resulting in enhanced anti-tumor effects observed in the KRASG12Ci-resistant models. Our findings underscore the role of MRAS in acquired resistance in KRASG12Ci and the potential to overcome this with vertical pathway combinations, such as SOS1i or SHP2i. The identity of Inodesmus Cook, 1896 and its single species, Inodesmus jamaicensis Cook, 1896, has been a mystery for decades. This species was described from a Jamaican cave but not only did the repository of the type material remain unknown, but also the types were believed to be lost. Here we redescribe the species and designate a lectotype and a paralectotype from the newly found type material. The genus Agathodesmus Silvestri, 1910 from Australia and New Caledonia is presented as a new junior subjective synonym of Inodesmus. Abstract The year 2024 marks the 100th anniversary of the first article on Bose statistics. Bose breathed life into the Planck distribution of radiation by a microscopic derivation (Bose 1924 Z. Phys. 26 178), adding a new insight, namely indistinguishability into the then evolving quantum theory. Einstein recognized the importance of this article and got it published. Using Bose statistics Einstein wrote an article on the theory (Einstein 1924 Sutzungsber. Preuss. Akad. Wiss Phys.-Math Kl. 261) of an ideal Bose gas and Bose–Einstein condensation. The groundbreaking discovery of Bose, an unveiling of a secret of quantum mechanics, continues to reverberate after a century. Bose’s paper is considered the fourth important paper in old quantum theory, following Planck’s (1900) article (Planck 1900 Verh. Disch Phys. Ges. 2 202), Einstein’s (1905) photoelectric effect (Einstein 1905 Ann. Phys., Lpz. 17 132) and Bohr’s model (1913) of the atom (Bohr 1913 London, Edinburgh Dublin Phil. Mag. J. Sci. 26 1). Dirac (1926 Proc. R. Soc. A 112 661) coined the name boson for one of the two families of indistinguishable particles, the other family being fermion. The edifice of modern quantum field theory, many-body quantum theory, quantum-information and quantum-computing are built on bosons, fermions and anyons. The ever-blooming quantum garden of bosons has photons, gluons, W-bosons, mesons, Higgs-bosons, gravitons, phonons, magnons, excitons, plasmons, polaritons and so on. We present a brief historical account of Bose’s life and his discovery, followed by a bird’s eye view of the impacts of bosons in modern science and technology: from Bose’s distribution of 3-degree background radiation reaching us in the form of cosmic microwave background from the big bang era to boson sampling, a novel quantum computing method. 10081 Background: EURAMOS is a transAtlantic collaboration formed to improve survival in osteosarcoma by conducting RCTs in a clinically relevant timeframe. EURAMOS-1, the largest study conducted in this rare cancer, has completed accrual. It includes two randomized comparisons investigating treatment optimization on the basis of histological response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Methods: Pts ≤40yrs with resectable, high grade extremity or axial osteosarcoma were eligible for registration. All were planned for 2 cycles of neoadjuvant methotrexate, doxorubicin, cisplatin (MAP) then surgical resection of the primary tumour. Pts with complete macroscopic resection and no disease progression were eligible for randomization: [i] “good responders”, <10% viable tumor, MAP +/- 18m maintenance pegylated interferon; [ii] “poor responders”, ≥10% viable tumor, MAP vs MAPIE (MAP + ifosfamide, etoposide). Target sample size was ~1,260 pts randomized requiring ~2000 pts registered estimating a non-randomization rate of 30-35%. Results: From Apr 2005 to Dec 2011, 2,260 pts were registered and 1,332 randomized from 17 countries, 320 sites: median age 14yrs (IQR 11-17); 59% male; 50% femoral site; 23% definite/possible metastases; 92% conventional osteosarcoma (diagnostic biopsy). At Sep 2011 planned IDMC review, neoadjuvant treatment data were known for 2024 pts; 1926 (95%) completed 2 cycles pre-operative MAP with 3 treatment related deaths. 59% pts were randomized; non-consent was the most frequent reason for non-randomization. Relative to expected age-specific incidence (UK NCIN 1979-2007) there was apparent under recruiting of older pts: females ≥15yrs and all pts >19yrs, with greater under recruitment of females than males <35yrs. Pts 20-29yrs were less likely to be randomized than those aged 5-19 and ≥30 yrs, 52% vs 57-62%. Conclusions: EURAMOS-1 demonstrates that large RCTs are feasible in rare cancers with inter-continental collaboration and is a model for future trials. Neoadjuvant MAP was safe in a geographically diverse cohort. Improving clinical trial access and randomization rates for young people is still required. Multiple funders detailed at bit.ly/ymUR9w.

Modern dentistry began as a descendant of barber-surgeons. In 1728, Fauchard of France published Dentist (Le chirurgien dentiste au traité des dents), who defined the scope and nature of modern dentistry. In 1926, Gies of the United States proposed the standardization of the dental curriculum and set goals for dentist education. However, although the framework of the dental curriculum proposed by Gies was excellent, that was ahead of his time, nearly 100 years have already passed. Therefore, we would like to predict the changes in oral care in about 30 years from now in 2024, and look for clues to the direction of change in dental education in Korea accordingly.</br>Due to changes in technology, it is expected that teaching methods using virtual and augmented reality will be universally implemented in dental education. Artificial intelligence is expected to be widely applied in dental care system. The relationship between oral health and systemic health will become clearer, and the importance of preventive dentistry will be further emphasized. The use of digital dentistry and 3D printing is expected to increase, and related education is needed. The dental education system should go beyond the scope of barber dentists and consider further on periodontics and systemic health. As interest in overall health and quality of life will increase, cooperation not only between dentists but also among other professionals such as medical doctors and para-medical/dental specialists will become common and the composition of the Korean population is expected to become diverse. The importance of leadership, communication, and cultural sensitivity in clinical care should be emphasized and educated. Ethics and professionalism must be prioritized in dental care, and students must be educated to become dentists. I think it may be more efficient to focus on improving educational competences and educational content rather than revolutionary change in the curriculum.</br>However, the current society is changing rapidly, and dental medicine at the time when students currently attending dental school become active dentists, will be different from what it is now, and dental education in Korea should be provided to prepare for this.

Abstract Background: Second primary cancer (SPC) risk estimates in breast cancer (BC) survivors carrying germline BRCA1/2 pathogenic variants (PVs) remain uncertain. We estimated relative and absolute SPC risks following BC in BRCA1/2 PV carriers using genetic testing laboratory data in England, linked for the first time to population-scale electronic health records data from the National Disease Registration Service and Hospital Episode Statistics. Material and methods: The cohort contained 27,154 women diagnosed with primary BC and tested for germline BRCA1/2 PVs between 1995-2019. Follow-up began at the latest of the genetic test dates and one year following the BC diagnosis and continued until the first SPC diagnosis, death, migration, relevant surgery, and the end of 2020, whichever came first. We estimated overall and site-specific standardized incidence ratios (SIRs) by comparing observed and expected SPC counts, with expected counts calculated using incidences for the general English population accounting for calendar year, SPC site, age, and gender. We stratified the SIRs by age, estrogen-receptor status, and cancer site. We further assessed associations using Cox regression adjusted for age at BC diagnosis and estrogen-receptor status of the first BC, and estimated 10-year absolute SPC risks with Kaplan-Meier analysis. Results: There were 1909 BRCA1 (138 with SPCs) and 1926 BRCA2 (101 with SPCs) PV carriers, with mean follow-up lengths of 4.2 and 4.4y and median follow-up lengths of 3.4 and 3.6y. In BRCA1 PV carriers, there were elevated contralateral BC (SIR:15.3, 95%CI:11.5-19.8), ovarian (SIR:43.3, 95%CI:30.9-58.9), non-breast and non-ovarian combined (SIR:2.23, 95%CI:1.63-2.98), colorectal (SIR:4.72, 95%CI:2.58-7.92) and uterine (SIR:3.42, 95%CI:1.25-7.44) SPC risks. In BRCA2 PV carriers, there were increased contralateral BC (SIR:7.53, 95%CI:5.33-10.3), ovarian (SIR:16.5, 95%CI:10.1-25.5), non-breast and non-ovarian (SIR:1.72, 95%CI:1.27-2.27) and pancreatic (SIR:6.57, 95%CI:2.63-13.5) SPC risks. Consistently, when we compared BC survivors carrying a BRCA1 PV to BC survivors without a PV in either gene, they were at elevated contralateral BC (HR:3.94, 95%CI:2.91-5.33), ovarian (HR:35.7, 95%CI:21.3-60.0), non-breast and non-ovarian (HR:1.53, 95%CI:1.11-2.12) and colorectal (HR:2.95, 95%CI:1.56-5.55) SPC risks, whereas BRCA2 PV carriers were at increased contralateral BC (HR:2.59, 95%CI:1.83-3.65), ovarian (HR:12.3, 95%CI:6.93-21.9) and pancreatic (HR:5.32, 95%CI:2.30-12.3) SPC risks. We estimated 10-year cumulative contralateral BC, ovarian, and non-breast and non-ovarian SPC risks of 15%, 6.3%, and 7.8% in BRCA1 PV carriers and 12%, 2.9%, and 6.2% in BRCA2 PV carriers. Conclusions: Cancer risks were increased, at combined and specific sites, following BC in BRCA1/2 PV carriers. These findings could aid the clinical management of BC survivors carrying BRCA1/2 PVs. Female genitalia have been largely neglected in studies of genital evolution, perhaps due to the long-standing belief that they are relatively invariable and therefore taxonomically and evolutionarily uninformative in comparison with male genitalia. In the present study, the female genital structure of lesser known beetle, Xylotrechus basifuliginosus was examined for the first time for morphological descriptions using advanced microscopy techniques and dissection methods and compared with its female congener, Xylotrechus smei (Castelnau & Gory). In X. basifuliginosus, the tergite and sternite are generally equal in length. Fully extended genitalia is 3.78mm long from the proximal edge of 9th segment and 0.37mm at its widest.8th abdominal segment is 0.65mm long, 0.36 mm wide whereas eighth abdominal segment is 1.2 times longer than wide, apico-lateral margin, covered with intermix of few short and long setae in X. smei. The genital pocket is 1.36 mm long-scissor like, cylindrical in shape, strongly sclerotized. Spermatheca duct is reduced, “J” shaped just like the genera of Chlorophorus and Plagionotus spp. Spiculum gastrale is 1.34 mm long, thin, slightly thickened at tip and almost three times the length of sternite 8 and ovipositor is 2.19 mm long, 0.85 mm wide, elongated and gradually narrows down to posterior end in X. basifuliginosus whereas in X. smei, spiculum gastrale is 3.43 mm long; ovipositor is with distinct paraproct, gonocoxite and gonostylus and surface of gonostylus is with few setae.

Ulyaninsky (1872—1937) in the Manuscripts Department of the Russian State Library. It was prepared in the summer of 1926 and was intended for the State Publishing House. In the document M.N. Kufaev outlined an expanded understanding of bibliology as a general philosophy and methodology of book studies, which he had formulated earlier in his work Philosophy of the Book. The prospectus gives an idea of M.N. Kufaev’s ideas in the field of book terminology and classification of book disciplines. In particular, the document testifies to the scientist’s desire to use the concept of “book culture”, to develop the theme of “book studies and Marxism”, to pay attention to the economics of book studies.

Molecular study of Circinaria specimens collected in arid habitats of the Chuya Steppe showed the existence of two different growth forms, crustose and vagrant, in C. tominii that implies a more complex lifecycle of the species compared to that postulated by Mereschkowsky for vagrant taxa. An ITS phylogeny revealed the position of Circinaria tominii relative to three vagrant species, C. alpicola, C. aschabadensis and C. jussufii. Circinaria tominii was first collected in 1926 and was rediscovered in its type locality 90 years later in the only habitat near Ortolyk settlement in the Republic of Altai (Russia). The species is found on soil in stony habitats of the Chuya Steppe. The estimated abundance of the species reaches several hundred specimens.

ABSTRACT: This article surveys the early intermedial work of Abril Lamarque, a Cuban illustrator, graphic designer, and art director in New York, who created the first comic strip in Spanish for newspapers in Latin America ( Monguito , 1925–1933) and the first caricature broadcast over the radio, a genre he called the "radio-cature" (1926). The article tracks the inter-American routes of the young artist between Santiago de Cuba and New York, examines the development of his caricature in print cultures and on airwaves in Cuba and the United States, and highlights the transnational networks and reading and listening publics, as well as infrastructures of empire, that his work brings into sharper relief. The following analysis of Lamarque's unparalleled genre innovations illuminates the visual and sonic imprints of Cuban diasporic cultural production in New York in the 1920s and 1930s and enhances, while also reorienting, a broader landscape of graphic modernity in the Americas. Al iniciarse los Procesos de Paz en 1996 y tras la firma de los Acuerdos de Viernes Santo de 1998, directores y guionistas han enriquecido sus narrativas para mostrar la presencia de las mujeres en la esfera pública. The topic of this article is relevant because in the Soviet period, the issues of interaction between law and fiction were not sufficiently reflected in research and presented legal conflicts, even having a fictional, imaginary character, ways to tell much more about political and social life and about people involved in various legal conflicts.

Also, color images of denominations, which were not previously known and not published, are presented for the first time to the attention of readers, and a complete and systematic catalog has also been compiled. The article is of interest to bonists, historians, collectors, and other interested parties. The main results of this research are used in research projects.

Summary Trypanorhynch cestode larvae were found parasitizing specimens of dusky flounder Syacium papillosum (Linnaeus, 1758) in the Southeastern Gulf of Mexico (s-GoM). Plerocercoids were recovered from a total of 194 flatfish, embedded in the intestine and stomach wall. Trypanorhynch were identified using morphology and a molecular phylogeny using newly sequenced partial 28S (region D1-D3) ribosomal DNA in combination with data derived from other species of trypanorhynchs available from GenBank. Larvae representing three genera of trypanorhynch cestodes, Nybelinia Poche, 1926; Kotorella Euzet & Radujkovic, 1989 and Oncomegas Dollfus, 1929 were found in dusky flounder specimens in the s-GoM. These plerocercoids represent six species: Nybelinia sp. 1, Nybelinia sp. 2, Nybelinia sp. 3, Nybelinia sp. 4, Kotorella pronosoma (Stossich, 1901) and Oncomegas wageneri (Linton, 1890) Dollfus, 1929. All cestode specimens in this study represent new locality records for their respective species.

Abstract: Although most scholars consider Ernest Hemingway's 1926 novella The Torrents of Spring as an aberration in the Hemingway canon, contemporary readers should rethink its marginalized standing as it is the first work in which the author intentionally broke with his literary influences that changed critical conversations about his future output. While Hemingway claimed to have written the book in order to cancel his contract with Boni & Liveright, he also used it to criticize such writers as Henry James, Sherwood Anderson, Sinclair Lewis, Gertrude Stein, and Willa Cather, demystifying them in order to mystify himself as an artist working in a new minimalist, confrontational prose style that opposed theirs. Through such actions, he established a pattern of behavior that revitalized his fiction by establishing a personal mythos that critics continued to perpetuate throughout his career.

Known as the Guggenheim system, this cutting-edge technological innovation had a significant impact on regional society and facilitated the introduction of Chilean saltpeter into the global fertilizer market. For this system to succeed, however, it had to incorporate a sociopolitical strategy based on a highly hierarchical and well-controlled labor force. Through their political and cultural influence in the region, the Guggenheim family's industry transformed a remote area into a state periphery, creating new ways of inhabiting the desert within a strict framework in which workers' lives were regulated by company-imposed labor discipline. With more political power than the state, the Guggenheim family sought to suppress any social agency deemed dangerous to the production of saltpeter.

Abstract: In the early decades of the 20th century, Mexican immigration laws and government circulars dictated populations believed to be economically, racially, and intellectually favorable. Determined to be a population able to easily assimilate into Mexican society based on their ability to maintain Mexico's mestizo demographic identity, the government gave preferential treatment to Spaniards seeking the opportunity to migrate. The Mexican government sought to protect the nation's mixed-identity through the promulgation of restrictive immigration policies, establishing limitations for populations believed to be too "other" to seamlessly integrate and bring wide-spread benefit to the nation. To understand Mexico's provision of aid to Spanish exiles and refugees unable or unwilling to return to their homeland during and after the Spanish Civil War, this article examines the Ley de Migración, the Ley de General Población, and other immigration laws promulgated between 1926 and 1936 and their efforts to control who was able to enter the country.

Abstract: This article examines the role of the Catholic ideology of Cristo Rey during the Cristero Conflict, which lasted from 1926 to 1929. This conflict was an armed rebellion led by militant Catholics who opposed the Mexican government's enforcement of anti-clerical provisions in the Mexican Constitution of 1917. This article argues that the creation of the Cristo Rey devotion in Guanajuato, Mexico as well as the statue dedicated to that devotion in 1923 demonstrate the early role the Mexican clergy played in escalating tensions between the Church and the Mexican State in the years before the armed phase of the Cristero rebellion. Additionally, this examination provides an important insight into the unification of lay Catholic organizations surrounding the expulsion of the Papal Nuncio, Eugenio Filippi in 1923. This article further demonstrates that the militant Catholic interpretation of Cristo Rey was impactful outside of Mexico, especially through the official Papal adoption of Christ the King as Catholic doctrine in 1925.

Monthly literary and artistic illustrated magazine “Zhar-ptitsa”, published from 1921 to 1925. in Berlin, in 1926 – in Paris, is a successor to the traditions of such magazines of the early twentieth century as “World of Art”, “Golden Fleece”, and is of scientific value as an additional source of information on the study of the theatrical life of the Russian Abroad. The purpose of the study is to conduct a detailed analysis of the magazine’s articles related to the creative activities of representatives of Russian ballet in exile.MATERIALS AND METHODS. The basis is taken from digitized versions of the magazine, posted in the public domain on the website “Presidential Library named after B.N. Yeltsin”. All 14 “Zhar-ptitsa” magazines were analyzed. Both articles related to the activities of representatives of Russian ballet in emigration, as well as various types of illustrations: photographs, drawings, reproductions, etc., were studied in detail.RESULTS AND DISCUSSION. It was revealed that in many issues of the magazine there are no articles devoted to Russian ballet, but there are photographs of ballet dancers in stage costumes and images, drawings related to ballet art, reproductions of sketches for ballet performances, which are also of scientific value in the reconstruction of ballet scenography, the study of this period of history. Four issues of the magazine “Zhar-ptitsa”, no. 1, no. 2, no. 10, no. 11, contain articles dedicated to the art of ballet: the work of M.M. Fokina, A.M. Pavlova, E.P. Eduardova, as well as B.G. Romanov and his choreographic group “Russian Romantic Ballet”.CONCLUSION. Despite the abundance of scientific articles devoted to the periodicals of the first wave of Russian emigration, information related to the history of Russian ballet remains poorly studied. The co nducted research introduces into scientific circulation materials dedicated to Russian ballet, and placed on the pages of the periodical of Russian emigration – “Zhar-ptitsa”. It seems promising to further study the journals of Russian emigration for the analysis of articles related to the history of Russian ballet.

The aim of the article is to consider the history of the creation, ideology and main stages of the activity of one of the main parties of North Caucasians in exile - the “People’s Party of the Cauca-sus Highlanders,” which functioned in Europe from 1926 until the start of World War II. The sources of this article were the documents from the archives of France and Russia, as well as arti-cles by the leaders of this party. The party’s head, a Turkish citizen and the grandson of Imam Shamil - Said, is given special focus, as is the role of Polish politician and military figure Tadeusz Schetzel. The author investigates party membership, ideology, and the attitudes of its ideologists (B. Bilatti, T. Elekhoti, B. Baitugan, etc.) toward the “Caucasian Confederation” concept. This ar-ticle aims to study the tools of the party’s activities (future war, League of Nations, etc.). There are four periods in the party’s activity: 1926–1930, 1931–1933, 1934–1936, 1937–1939. The au-thor investigates both internal and foreign issues in the party. The “People’s Party of the Caucasus Mountain People,” on the one hand, did not have significant success in the socio-political life of North Caucasian emigrants in Europe in the 1920s-1930s, did not gain authority and respect among compatriots, but, on the other hand, it was a very important experience in the highlanders’ political activities and a very deep stage in the development of their political self-awareness.

Abstract: This article considers both stage performance and immigration law enforcement to redefine hyphenated Chinese American identities during the Chinese Exclusion period (1882–1943). It employs the case of Jue Quon Tai, a Chinese American singer who was active in vaudeville between 1915 and 1926. The Chinese Exclusion Act established an unforgiving legal distinction between Chinese and American, yet first-generation Chinese Americans started to see their hyphenated identities not as an either-or but as and/or voluntary choices, implying a constant reconfiguration between their Chinese and US American cultures. Legal requisites notwithstanding, I argue that Jue’s theatrical performance challenged contemporaneous assumptions of Chinese Americans as “inescapably” Chinese and influenced how immigration officers might respond to hyphenated Chinese Americans at the border. This contention highlights the interplay between performance, racial understandings, and immigration law. I use interplay because, as the article demonstrates, not only racial thought and restrictive immigration policies influenced what appeared in theaters but, most strikingly, performance culture affected the way ideas of race and immigration law were understood and implemented.

This cross-sectional study investigated the epidemiology and risk factors associated with orthostatic hypotension (OH) and its severity in older adults residing in the Jizhou community of Tianjin and the Jimei community of Xiamen. The study, conducted from March to September 2019, involved adults aged over 60. A comprehensive questionnaire survey was administered, resulting in the enrolment of 4383 older adults. The overall prevalence of OH was found to be 11.7% (516 out of 4383). Notably, a significant gender difference was observed, with a prevalence of 10% among males (194 out of 1926) and 13.1% among females (322 out of 2457) (P=0.002). Among individuals with OH, 332 exhibited mild symptoms, 64 had moderate OH, 58 had severe OH cases, and 50 have very severe OH. Multivariable logistic regression analysis revealed that being female, widowed, engaging in general social activities, and a history of hypertension, migraines, heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, and mental health conditions (anxiety and depression) were independently associated with OH. Ordinal logistic regression analysis further confirmed that hypertension, migraine, and a history of general anesthesia surgery were independently associated with the severity of OH. This study highlights a relatively high prevalence of OH among older adults in the Jizhou community of Tianjin and the Jimei community of Xiamen, China. The identified risk factors, particularly social activities, and hypertension, significantly influence the severity of OH. Further examination is required to corroborate these findings and investigate potential interventions.

The connoisseurs of Bengali literature in the early twentieth century had found a new treasure trove of folk ballads from the far-flung villages of eastern Bengal. The discovery of these ballads is often ascribed to Chandra Kumar Dey who first published the details of a few ballads in a periodical named Saurabh. Later, Dey worked under the guidance of noted historian Dinesh Chandra Sen to collect more of these ballads which mainly existed in shared memory of people and were disseminated orally from one generation to the next. Dinesh Chandra Sen had successfully used the findings of this research to secure a consecutive Ramtanu Lahiri Fellowship and drew considerable critical attention from Indologists such as Romain Rolland and Stella Kramrisch. Sen’s Eastern Bengal Ballads (1926) and Mymensingh Gitika (1921) published as part of Ramtanu Lahiri Fellowship shed important lights on the nature of these ballads and how these ballads can be important tool to recover a pre-colonial and pre-Brahminic renaissance past which exhibit the features of an unadulterated Bengali past of peaceful coexistence of Hindu and Muslims. Dinesh Chandra Sen and certain other contemporary intellectuals used these ballads as an important cultural tool to encounter a political outrage that tore through Bengal with the proposal of Bengal Partition of 1905. Though Lord Hardinge had annulled the proposed partition in 1911 yet the tension remained palpable. With the establishment of All India Muslim League (1906) and separated political interests communal riots became a more regular phenomenon in the twentieth century of which the Mymensingh riot of 1906-07 and a series of riots in and around Calcutta between 1918 and 1926 are few more prominent disastrous examples. Therefore, the discovery and subsequent popularity of these ballads cannot simply be termed as literary endeavour, underneath, there was this quasi-political urge to encounter the series of political violence that were to leave a permanent scar upon Bengali minds. The proposed paper would try to trace the dissemination of these ballads in the cultural sphere of twentieth century Bengal and the possible political implications of it.

The 1930s have become known in the Russian history as years of the Great Terror. Cases on crimes against the revolution (Art. 581–5818 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR as amended in 1926) were reviewed in the simplified procedure, sentences were pronounced by extra-judicial authorities. However, the customary procedure was also applied, where the accused could hope for protection of rights of an individual. This happened in criminal case No. 3098 against Chairperson of the Presidium of the Sverdlovsk Regional Bar Association N.F. Ostrovsky, his deputy V.P. Postnikov and Chairperson of the Local Trade Union Committee A.F. Toropova.

Estas cirurgias, destinadas ao tratamento da obesidade mórbida, apresentam desafios específicos devido às características dos pacientes, que frequentemente possuem comorbidades associadas. Portanto, uma abordagem anestésica cuidadosa e uma estratégia eficaz de controle da dor são essenciais para minimizar riscos intraoperatórios e complicações pós-operatórias, promover uma recuperação mais rápida e melhorar a qualidade de vida dos pacientes. Objetivo: Identificar as melhores práticas anestésicas e de controle da dor para melhorar a segurança, eficácia e resultados clínicos em pacientes submetidos a cirurgias bariátricas. Metodologia: Foram utilizadas as bases de dados Cochrane, Scielo e Medline, buscando artigos publicados entre os anos de 2018 e 2024, nos idiomas Português ou Inglês. Considerações Finais: O manejo da anestesia e da dor em cirurgias bariátricas é vital para a segurança e o conforto dos pacientes. Portanto, a combinação de anestesia geral com bloqueios regionais pode diminuir os riscos respiratórios e cardiovasculares. Além disso, um controle eficiente da dor pós-operatória, através do uso combinado de analgésicos opioides e não opioides, acelera a recuperação e reduz complicações. Assim, personalizar essas abordagens de acordo com as características individuais dos pacientes é crucial para otimizar os resultados e melhorar a qualidade de vida no pós-operatório.

Abstract The Eurasian Woodcock is a regular breeder in the wooded areas of the Carpathian Basin. In the past, several literature reviews on the distribution and breeding biology of the species in the Carpathian Basin have been published, but these have ignored the annual reports on spring returns collected between 1894 and 1926 under the coordination of the Hungarian Ornithological Centre. These included 379 nesting records from the present area of Austria, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine. The majority of the data came from the Carpathians, with a smaller number from forested areas in the lower mountains and hills. It was particularly rare in lowland areas, with most of the records coming from floodplain forests. The spatial distribution of the data is somewhat at odds with that described in recent summary works. From the Northern Carpathians and the Eastern Alps, however, these sources report fewer nestings, and most of the data come from Transylvania. The temporal distribution of the data is consistent with previously published results. In some cases nestings were found in late February and early March. The peak of nesting was in April, with only a small number of nestings reported in the second half of May. Breeding occurred significantly later in areas at higher altitudes. Nevertheless, it can be concluded that knowledge of the species’ nesting in the Carpathian Basin is still incomplete.

The paper is dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of the politician and local historian.

From the very beginning of its rule, the Soviet Government paid attention to the development of the peoples living in the border areas. In 1926, the “Temporary Regulations on the Administration of Native Peoples and Tribes of the Northern Outskirts of the RSFSR” was adopted; it identified 36 ethnonyms and the territories of their original residence, to which particular preferences were distributed. The purpose of this article is to analyze the current situation and future prospects of the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Russian Far East against the background of socio-economic, political and cultural changes. It separates the indigenous peoples of the North from the ethnic diversity of Russia’s transformation from “aboriginal peoples” to “northern indigenous minorities” and further examines the problems associated with the growth of the “Siberian and Far Eastern” peoples. Attention is drawn to the fact that despite the compiled List of Northern Ethnic Groups, different numbers were considered in the ongoing population censuses. The ethnic self-determination of aboriginal peoples also changed from adopting the father’s nationality and, subsequently, the transition to the mother’s nationality, and vice versa, which led to “fluctuations” in the number of individual ethnic groups. Based on population census data (1926-2021), the dynamics of the number of indigenous peoples in the North, Siberia, and the Far East were analyzed, and it was noted that, in general, there is a positive increase in all northern ethnic groups. The dynamics of the population of the indigenous peoples were studied in more detail (1989-2021), making it possible to compare the demographic trends from the last population census of the USSR (1989) to those of the newborn Russia (2021). Grouped according to indigenous demographics, five groups were identified that represent different demographic directions. It is concluded that the growth in the number of indigenous peoples in the North, Siberia, and the Far East is primarily determined by non-demographic factors.

From the time that A. R. Radcliffe-Brown provided the first detailed description in 1926, the Rainbow Serpent culture complex has been regarded, either explicitly or implicitly, as the exclusive domain of Aboriginal Australia. An extensive survey of the ethnology of the rainbow fails to support this view, since elements of the same belief system appear in animistic societies around the world. These typically represent the rainbow as an enormous spirit snake that guards springs and other water sources when not in the sky and is particularly offended by the approach of menstruating women, while in other cultures rainbow and serpent have been decoupled, but both retain clear signals that they descend from a coherent and presumably ancient Rainbow Serpent culture complex. In those parts of the world where agriculture first took hold, leading to urbanization, literacy, and the abandonment of an animistic worldview, the serpent survived as an independent entity that we know as the dragon.

Картина мира Н. А. Заболоцкого остается недостаточно изученной. Среди ключевых концептов, представляющих интерес для исследования идиостиля автора, можно выделить концепт «творчество». Важным этапом анализа концептосферы поэта становится выявление лексической структуры, содержания и репрезентации концепта «творчество» в лирике поэта разных лет. Целью работы является изучение особенностей структуры и способов репрезентации концепта «творчество» в лирике Н. А. Заболоцкого в разные периоды творчества поэта. В ходе исследования использованы метод сплошной выборки, концептуальный анализ, биографический, сравнительно-сопоставительный, контекстологический, семантико-стилистический. В статье представлены результаты изучения стихотворений Н. А. Заболоцкого 1926–1958 гг., в которых использован непосредственный номинант концепта «творчество» и ассоциативно и семантически связанные с ним лексемы. Использование методики моделирования межтекстовых ассоциативно-смысловых полей позволило выявить особенности содержания концепта «творчество» и его лексического воплощения в коммуникативно-деятельностном аспекте. Исследование проведено в русле коммуникативной стилистики. В результате анализа стихотворений Н. А. Заболоцкого разных лет были определены особенности содержания и лексического воплощения одного из ключевых концептов лирики поэта – «творчество» – в динамике поэтической деятельности автора. Номинант концепта представлен в поэтических текстах автора достаточно редко, но вербализируется через множественные текстовые ассоциаты, например: «пение», «искусство», «музыка», «поэзия» и др. В раннем периоде творчества поэта характер восприятия им окружающей действительности отражается в содержании концепта «творчество». В авторских сборниках «Городские столбцы» и «Смешанные столбцы» Н. А. Заболоцкий, изображая «перевернутый» и абсурдный мир эпохи нэпа, создает и специфический вариант понимания концепта «творчество», отличающийся от интерпретации концепта в поздней лирике. Поздние лирические произведения Н. А. Заболоцкого отражают более привычное для читателя понимание концепта «творчество». Изменившиеся философские взгляды и некоторые события личной жизни поэта влияют на картину мира автора, отражаясь в содержании и средствах репрезентации рассматриваемого концепта. В позднем периоде творчество у Заболоцкого часто связано с природой, которая является вдохновителем, отражением или самостоятельным творцом того или иного вида искусства. Анализ лирических произведений Н. А. Заболоцкого разных лет позволил выявить особенности содержания и лексического воплощения концепта «творчество» в стихотворениях 1926–1958 гг. Результаты исследования являются важными для исследования эволюции поэтической картины мира автора. N. A. Zabolotsky’s worldview remains insufficiently studied. Among the key concepts of interest for the study of the author’s idiosyncrasy, the concept of “creativity” can be distinguished. An important part in the analysis of the poet’s conceptual sphere is the identification of the lexical structure, content and representation of the concept of “creativity” in the poet’s lyrics of different years. The goal of the work is to identify the features of the structure and ways of representing the concept of “creativity” in N. A. Zabolotsky’s lyrics in different periods of the poet’s work. The research uses the continuous sampling method, conceptual analysis, biographical, comparative, contextual, semantic and stylistic. The article presents the results of a study of N. A. Zabolotsky’s poems from 1926 to 1958, which used the direct nominee of the concept “creativity” and associatively and semantically related lexemes. Using the methodology of modeling intertextual associative-semantic parts allowed us to identify the features of the content of the concept of “creativity” and its lexical embodiment in the communicative and activity aspect. The study was conducted in line with the communicative style. As a result of the analysis of N. A. Zabolotsky’s poems from different years, the features of the content and lexical embodiment of one of the key concepts of the poet’s lyrics – “creativity” in the dynamics of the author’s poetic activity were determined. The nominee of the concept is rarely represented in the author’s poetic texts, but is verbalized through multiple textual associations, for example: “singing”, “art”, “music”, “poetry”, etc. In the early period of the poet’s work, the nature of his perception of the surrounding reality is reflected in the content of the concept of “creativity”. In the author’s collections “Urban Columns” and “Mixed Columns” N. A. Zabolotsky, depicting the “inverted” and absurd world of the NEP era, creates a specific version of the understanding of the concept of “creativity”, which differs from the interpretation of the concept in late lyrics. The later lyrical works of N. A. Zabolotsky reflect a more familiar understanding of the concept of “creativity” for the reader. His philosophical views was changed. Some events of the poet’s personal life affect the author’s worldview, reflected in the content and means of representation of the concept under consideration. In the late period, Zabolotsky’s creativity is often associated with nature, which is the inspiration, reflection or independent creator of a particular type of art. The analysis of N. A. Zabolotsky’s lyrical works from different years made it possible to identify and formulate the features of the content and lexical embodiment of the concept of “creativity” in poems from 1926 to 1958. The results are important for the study of the evolution of the author’s poetic worldview.

The paper considers the transformation of the marriage and family structure of the population of the Komi Republic in the Soviet period. The dynamics of marriage and divorce rates in 1920-1990 is analyzed in the context of the development of family and demographic policy measures. Based on the results of six population censuses, differences in the marital composition of the population of the Komi Republic by gender, age and type of settlement in 1926-1989 were identified. Special attention is paid to the territorial analysis of marriages and divorces. The marriage composition, relative indicators of marriage and divorce rates in town Soviets and regions of the Komi ASSR in 1959 and 1989 are considered. The results obtained allow us to better understand the impact of the demographic transition and industrial development of the northern territories on the marriage composition of the population.

In the mid-1920s, important events took place in the development of Soviet ethnonational politics. They were associated with the active actions of ethnopolitical elites in the center and autonomies of the RSFSR. Following the IV meeting of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) with responsible workers of the national republics and regions in 1923, the adoption of the Constitution of the RSFSR in 1924, the constitutions of the autonomies were developed and legal, organizational and other management mechanisms were clarified. An important role was played by the so-called "Ryskulov meeting" held in Moscow at the end of 1926. It took place during the III session of the Central Executive Committee of the 12th convocation, the participants of which are depicted in two photographs. Having a typical character, the photographs nevertheless capture not only the international composition of the Soviet elite. Despite considerable attention to the publication of visual sources and their involvement in the relevant historical context, much remains "behind the scenes". All the characters in the photographs have not been identified, the event series and the problem field associated with them have not been reconstructed. In combination with the available published and archival sources, their analysis makes it possible to present in more detail the specifics and conflicts of the relationship between the center and the ethnopolitical leaders of the autonomous regions of the RSFSR, as well as the essence of the problems of nation-building, social and economic development that were solved jointly by all parties. Important details of the history of federal construction in the USSR and the contribution of national figures to the development of Soviet statehood are clarified. A large place is devoted to the political consequences of this meeting in the autonomous regions of the RSFSR, including in Kazakhstan.

The author examines the main stages and problems of the formation of the Kyrgyz autonomy within the RSFSR in connection with the national-territorial division of Central Asia. These processes were part of the formation of the Soviet federal model. It had a complex structure due to significant differences between different regions. Along with the usual provinces and regions, a hierarchy of national republics, regions and districts was created, up to national districts and village councils. The space of the RSFSR was especially difficult to organize. The features of the status and development of the Kyrgyz autonomous region, the circumstances of the decision on its transformation into an autonomous republic are analyzed. It was discussed at the III session of the XII convocation of the Central Executive Committee, when the famous «Ryskulov’s» meeting of national workers was held on November 12 and 14, 1926. The author characterizes the specifics of the position of the leadership of the Kyrgyz JSC and the role of T.R. Ryskulov in solving key issues of the development of the Central Asian region in the context of large-scale transformations. The participants debates reflected a number of important issues of federal construction, the formation of the organizational and institutional framework of autonomies and ensuring the sustainability of governance. An important role in this was played by the interaction of the heads of the center and the autonomies.

The article examines the constitutional policy of the Soviet state in relation to the autonomous republic of Volga Germans that existed in 1924–1941 as part of the RSFSR, shows this policy as an integral part of the general national-state policy towards national minorities, to whom the Bolshevik government was granted a certain form of statehood. The characteristic of the two constitutions of the Non–Republic of 1926 and 1937 is given – as octroated, i.e. granted from above and therefore contained as much independence as allowed by the center. The state policy related to the implementation of the content of these constitutions is described. The principle of octroism unified and strictly regulated national life, giving it a rather limited place and thus allowing the authorities to quickly implement the process of integrating peoples into a new socio-political system.

The article explores historical and semiotic aspects of the little black dress. The little black dress (LBD) is interpreted in the frame of Bohemian artistic style and further developments in 20th century fashion. The analysis starts with the little black dress designed by Gabriel Chanel in 1926, but the point of origin for historical reference is the European tradition of mourning dress of the 19th century, that determined the cultural symbolism of the colour black. The semiotics of the little black dress is newly defined through the culture of minimalism of 1920s. The article traces the connection between the design of the little black dress and the sartorial tradition of the Great Male Renunciation: sacrificing the decorative for the functional; emphasizing comfort, freedom of movement, and the individuality of the wearer. The minimalism of the little black dress is balanced by the use of accessories. In conclusion we discuss the contemporary role of the little black dress as women’s uniform. Throughout, the article aims to demonstrate the variability of cultural functions of the little black dress, depending on the historical context.

The reproduction of the old-timer population and first-generation migrants, the demographic dynamics of the status ethnic groups of the national republics of the Russian North (Karelians, Komi, Tuvans and Yakuts) and the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East form the population and human resources of the Russian Arctic. Those working on a rotational basis partly cover the need for labor resources. Each group of human resources demonstrates distinctive demographic dynamics and contributes to the formation of human resources in the Russian Arctic. The purpose of the study is to assess each component of the formation of human resources in the Russian Arctic. The authors conclude that there has been a high decline in the old-timer population and new settlers since the 1990s and reveal the multidirectional dynamics of the status and indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East, though emphasize that their number in Russia is almost half of the human resources of the Russian Arctic. Materials from the population censuses of 1926—2021make up the information base of the study.

The article considers the short story by Anna Barkova, “The Steel Husband,” in many ways: as a point of intersection of several different influences (“pornographic prose” from the heyday of the “women’s question”; the poetry of the Proletcultists, in particular, the association “Kuznitsa”; discussion of the 1920s about the “sexual question” within the framework of the struggle for a “new way of life”); in the aspect of the centuries-old history of the “artificial body” topic; from the point of view of the motifs of Barkova’s work in general, in particular autobiographical (“psychological” ones); and in the light of gender studies, since in the story there is a gender inversion of the traditional topic. The research reveals plot borrowings and echoes with the short stories of Anatoly Kamensky’s “The Ideal Wife” and A. Mire’s “Rambellino.” The article concludes that by performing several inversions in the story “The Steel Husband,” including gender inversion, which manifests itself primarily in the use of an “inverted” ratio of male and female roles in the Pygmalionist plot about the creation of an “artificial body,” Anna Barkova, at the same time, relays essential elements of the masculine gender order, and in her “technical” story the “eternal values” still paradoxically win.

После передачи строительства акционерному русско-германскому обществу «Русгерстрой», для которого возведение правительственного здания в Махачкале стало первым опытом строительства в СССР, общество заказало проект палладианцу И.В. Жолтовскому. Констатируется, корректируя существующие точки зрения, что конкурса между проектами Гинзбурга и Жолтовского не было, поскольку эти проекты возникли на разных этапах подготовки строительства здания. Выдвигается гипотеза, что инициаторами заказа проекта Жолтовскому могли стать сотрудничавшие с «Русгерстроем» архитекторы А.К. Иванов и Д.С. Марков, которые были тесно связаны с Жолтовским в своей предыдущей деятельности. Установлено, что из окончательной строительной программы Дома Советов в целях экономии средств, но противореча творческим принципам Жолтовского и без согласования с ним, был исключён ряд крупных формообразующих фрагментов здания. После передачи здания Наркомпросу оно как Дом Советов не функционировало и во многом утратило градостроительное и общественно-политическое значение.

Данная статья посвящена видному общественному деятелю Бурятии, первому руководителю республиканских женских отделов — М. В. Сагадаровой (1901–1926). Автор кратко освещает биографию Марии Владимировны, становление личности которой проходило в период глобальных изменений в общественном строе страны. В эти переломные, решающие моменты исторического развития М. В. Сага- дарова проявила лидерские качества и прогрессивно повлияла не только на судьбы своих современниц, но и на общество в целом. Революционные преобразования женского вопроса в области сохранения здоровья, культуры и просвещения в бурят- ском обществе были скоординированы работой I Всероссийского съезда работниц и крестьянок России, созванного ЦК РКП(б), состоявшегося в Москве 16–21 ноября 1918 г. В статье отмечается энергичность, активность и незаурядность М. В. Сагада- ровой, которая к этому моменту успешно окончила Черемховское коммерческое училище. Благодаря организаторским способностям она многое сделала для станов- ления женского движения Бурятии. В довольно короткий срок приобрела огромный авторитет, заслужено пользовалась большим уважением как своих партийных това- рищей, так и обычных женщин. В работе приводятся различные сведения и воспо- минания современников о М. В. Сагадаровой. Кроме того, отмечается, что многие женщины, для кого трудилась Мария Владимировна после целевой учебы, успешно реализовались в профессиональной сфере, оставили продуктивный след в истории Бурятии.

в данной статье рассматривается тема изгнания в творчестве выдающегося русско-американского писателя Владимира Набокова (1899-1977), нашедшая отражение как в его поэзии, так и в прозе. Набоков, будучи вынужденным покинуть Россию в 1919 году в возрасте 20 лет, провел большую часть своей жизни в эмиграции, что оказало значительное влияние на его мировоззрение и художественное творчество. Целью исследования является анализ мотива изгнания в поэтических и прозаических произведениях Набокова, выявление его специфики и эволюции на протяжении творческого пути писателя. Материалом для исследования послужили как ранние стихотворения Набокова, созданные в 1920-1930-е годы, так и зрелая проза, включая романы «Машенька» (1926), «Защита Лужина» (1930), «Приглашение на казнь» (1938), «Другие берега» (1954) и др. В работе применяются методы сравнительно-исторического, биографического и мотивного анализа. В результате проведенного исследования установлено, что тема изгнания является сквозной в творчестве Набокова и претерпевает определенную трансформацию: если в ранней поэзии доминирует ностальгия по утраченной родине и трагическое мироощущение, то в зрелой прозе писатель переосмысливает изгнание как возможность обретения творческой свободы и новых художественных форм. При этом Набоков виртуозно использует язык для передачи опыта изгнания, прибегая к сложным метафорам, аллюзиям и языковой игре. Полученные результаты вносят вклад в изучение творчества Набокова и расширяют представление о роли темы изгнания в его художественном наследии. this article examines the theme of exile in the work of the outstanding Russian-American writer Vladimir Nabokov (1899-1977), reflected both in his poetry and in his prose. Nabokov, having been forced to leave Russia in 1919 at the age of 20, spent most of his life in exile, which had a significant impact on his worldview and artistic creativity. The purpose of the study is to analyze the motive of exile in Nabokov's poetic and prose works, to identify its specifics and evolution throughout the writer's creative path. The material for the study was both Nabokov's early poems, created in the 1920s and 1930s, and mature prose, including the novels "Masha" (1926), "The Defense of Luzhin" (1930), "Invitation to Execution" (1938), "Other Shores" (1954), etc. The methods of comparative historical, biographical and motivic analysis are used in the work. As a result of the conducted research, it was found that the theme of exile is end-to-end in Nabokov's work and undergoes a certain transformation: if nostalgia for the lost homeland and a tragic worldview dominate in early poetry, then in mature prose the writer rethinks exile as an opportunity to gain creative freedom and new artistic forms. At the same time, Nabokov masterfully uses language to convey the experience of exile, resorting to complex metaphors, allusions and language play. The results obtained contribute to the study of Nabokov's work and expand the understanding of the role of the theme of exile in his artistic heritage.
