A new species of the genus Pheosia Hübner, 1819, Pheosia liwangi Prozorov, Schintlmeister & Müller sp. nov., from Xizang and Sichuan Provinces in China is described. The new species is compared with Pheosia gelupka Gaede, 1934; Pheosia buddhista (Püngeler, 1899); and Pheosia mayri Saldaitis, Prozorov, Morozov, Yakovlev, Müller & Dûda, 2024. Abstract:

The Holarctic genus Manica Jurine, 1807 are mysterious and primitive ants from the tribe Myrmicini of the subfamily Myrmicinae. A new species (Manica shanyii He et al., 2024) from China has recently been described, which was the first documented appearance of the genus and a new species in China. In this study, the key features of M. shanyii are compared with Manica species and the related genus Myrmica Latreille, 1804. Morphological features are demonstrated here, which makes it possible to divide two close genera Manica and Myrmica. After studying the specimens of this species, we transfer M

Abstract:

Abstract   This article pays tribute to Dr. Jagdish Prasad Singh, a Padma Shri awardee and renowned author from Bihar. Despite his national recognition, Dr. Singh remained relatively unknown in his home state, raising questions about the state's literary scene. This article highlights Dr. Singh's contributions to Indian community and emphasizes the need for Bihar's literary scene to acknowledge and honor its own heroes. Through Dr. Singh's story, we aim to inspire a new generation of writers and readers, promoting a deeper appreciation for Indian literature and its rich cultural heritage.
