Abstract:
Maillard reaction is a nonenzymatic reaction between reducing sugars and free amino acid moieties, which is known as one of the most important modifications in food science. It is essential to characterize the structure of Amadori rearrangement products (ARPs) formed in the early stage of Maillard reaction. In the present study, the Nα-acetyl-lysine-glucose model had been successfully set up to produce ARP, Nα-acetyl-lysine-glucose. After HPLC purification, ARP had been identified by ESI-MS with intense [M+H]+ ion at 351 m/z and the purity of ARP was confirmed to be over 90% by the relative in

Abstract:
It is well known that the NMR relaxation time T2 is proportional to the molecular mobility of water or hydrocarbons in rocks. In unconventional tight rocks, water and hydrocarbons are trapped in small pores of nanometer sizes, and their molecular mobility is severely restricted, causing the NMR T2 to be much shorter than that of conventional cases where pore sizes are in micrometer ranges. There are demands for advanced NMR techniques to study those solid-like bound hydrocarbons. In the meantime, it is of great interest for petrophysicists and geochemists to understand kerogen models in order

Abstract:
High Entropy Alloys (HEA) are materials consisting of a mixture of five or more elements in equal or relatively large proportions. They are a promising alternative material due to their desirable properties such as good wettability, high toughness, wear resistance, and temperature stability. Recently, the concept of HEAs has been extended to include high entropy carbides (HECs), which have garnered attention in the scientific community. In this study, the microstructure and micromechanical properties of two different binders, Ni and Co, were characterized for HECs composed of Ti, Ta, Nb, V, an

Abstract:
The wavelet transform decomposes a signal onto a set of basis wavelet functions that are dilated and shifted from the mother functions h(t), satisfying an admissible condition. This transform is compact in both time and frequency domains and is therefore efficient for time-dependent frequency analysis of the signal. We consider the wavelet transform as the correlations between the signal and a bank of wavelet filters, each having a fixed scale.1 Thus, the wavelet transform of a 1D signal is implemented in an optical correlator with multiple strip wavelet filters, and the wavelet transform of a

Abstract:
Orobanche is an important parasitic weed. For developing novel methods for its control, a thorough understanding of crucial stages of its development is needed. Therefore, the objectives of this project were characterization of Orobanche germination stimulants, analysis of mechanisms of haustorial penetration, and characterization and isolation of penetration enzymes. The first highly potent natural germination stimulant for Orobanche was isolated from sunflower and identified by high-field 1D (1H and 13C), 2D (1H-1H COSY, HMQC, HMBC)-NMR, GC.FT-IR, and GC.MS as costuslactone, a guaiane type s
