The article explains the possibilities of reconstructing heritage objects. Measurements were made using photogrammetric data received from digital images taken by the Canon EOS 1D Mark III digital camera calibrated in the Institute of Photogrammetry at the University of Bonn (Germany). The images were received applying the PhotoMod photogrammetric software produced in Russia. TIN (Triangulated Irregular Network) and an orthophoto map were made in the investigated objects. The modelling analysis of TIN data was made using ArcGIS software. The purpose of the article is to reconstruct the surface

In this work, an exact renormalization group treatment of honeycomb lattice leading to an exact relation between the coupling strengths of the honeycomb and the triangular lattices is presented. Using the honeycomb and the triangular duality relation, the critical coupling values of honeycomb and triangular lattices are calculated exactly by the simultaneous solution of the renormalized relation and the duality relation, without using the so-called star-triangular transformation. Apparently, the obtained coupling relation is unique. It not only takes place the role of the star triangular relat

The phenomena of frustrations appearance and suppression of phase transition or, on the contrary, the phase transition appearance and suppression of frustrations are studied on the base of exact solutions for 1D 3-state [1], 4-state standard [2] Potts models and the Ising model [3] with allowance for the interactions between nearest J and next-nearest neighbors J'. We also studied these phenomena in the Ising model on 2D triangular, honeycomb, and kagome lattices, using the exact analytical solutions for maximum eigenvalue of Kramers-Wannier transfer matrix [4] и [5]. The paper describes the application of CFD in simulating density wave oscillations in triangular and square pitch rod bundles. The FLUENT code is used for this purpose, addressing typical conditions proposed for SCWR conceptual design. The RELAP5 code and an in-house 1D linear stability code are also adopted to compare the results for instability thresholds obtained by different techniques. Transient analyses are performed both by the CFD code and RELAP5, with increasing heating rates and constant pressure drop across the channel, up to the occurrence of unstable behaviour. Abstract One-dimensional fully developed channel flow was solved using a modified k–ω turbulence model that was recently proposed for use with high-order finite element schemes. In order to study this new turbulence model’s behavior, determine its dependence on boundary conditions and model constants, and find efficient methods for obtaining solutions, the model was first examined using a linear finite element discretization in 1D. The results showed that an accurate estimate of the parameter εk which is used to define k in terms of the working variable k~ is essential to get an accurate solut

Ignition process plays a key role in flame kernel formation and heavily affects further combustion development. The paper aim is to present a 1D lagrangian ignition model and to validate it against real engine configurations. A lump model for the electrical circuit of the spark plug is used to compute breakdown and glow energy. At the end of shock wave and very first plasma expansion, a spherical kernel is deposited inside the gas flow at spark plug location. A simple model allows computing initial flame kernel radius and temperature based on physical mixture properties and spark plug characte

Abstract Developing accurate and stable solutions for inverse heat conduction problems (IHCPs) is crucial in many industrial applications where direct measurement of surface conditions, such as heat flux or temperature, is not possible in practice and temperature measurement from interior points can be obtained alternatively. IHCPs are mathematically ill-posed and therefore developing stable solutions for them is challenging. Application of intelligent algorithms for solving IHCPs has been successfully explored for several cases. In the present paper, the problem of near real-time surface heat
