Abstract:
Fluorite-type Zr-based oxides with the composition Ga 2 Zr 2− x W x O 7 ( x = 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15 and 0.2) were prepared using the citrate technique. Appropriate characterizations of all prepared materials were carried out. X-ray diffraction clarified that the undoped and W-doped Ga 2 Zr 2 O 7 samples were crystallized in the cubic fluorite phase structure. The average particle size of the samples was in the range of 3–8 nm. The lowest band gap (1.7 eV) and the highest surface area (124.3 m 2 g −1 ) were recorded for Ga 2 Zr 0.85 W 0.15 O 7. The photocatalytic impacts of the prepared systems were studied by removal of crystal violet (CV) dye employing visible light illumination and taking into consideration the initial dye concentrations, duration of visible irradiation treatment, catalysts dose and the dopant concentration. The obtained results showed higher dye removal with the boost of the catalyst dosage. W doping shifted the absorption to the visible light range by decreasing the band gap from 4.95 eV for parent Ga 2 Zr 2 O 7 to 1.7 eV for 15 mol% tungsten-doped Ga 2 Zr 2 O 7 enhancing the photocatalytic decolourization of CV from 4.2% to 83.6% for undoped and 15 mol% W-doped Ga 2 Zr 2 O 7 , respectively, at optimum operating conditions (pH 9, 1 g l −1 catalyst dose and 300 min) while heavily doped W sample containing 20 mol% W showed lower removal than 15 mol% W-doped Ga 2 Zr 2 O 7 . Complete CV degradation using 15 mol% W-doped Ga 2 Zr 2 O 7 was attained with the assistance of 25 mmol l −1 hydrogen peroxide. The reaction is aligned to pseudo-first-order kinetics. Different scavengers were introduced to decide the significance of the reactive species in CV degradation. O 2 − ∙ and h + had the major role in the degradation of CV by Ga 2 Zr 2− x W x O 7 system compared with HO • .

AbstractA photoluminescence (PL) study of Cu(In,Ga)Se_2 (CIGSe) single crystals, (grown by the vertical Bridgman technique) with the [Ga]/[Ga + In] ratio of 7 and 12% and the [Cu]/[In + Ga] ratio greater than unity, as measured by energy dispersive spectroscopy, is presented. Analysis of the excitation intensity and temperature dependence of the PL spectra suggested the excitonic nature of the observed near-band-edge emissions peaks. Free and bound excitons in CIGSe single crystals with both 7 and 12% Ga content are clearly observed, analyzed and identified. An activation energy of 19 meV is determined for the free exciton in the PL spectra of the sample with 12% Ga. The presence of the excitons demonstrated a high structural quality of the material.

Abstract:
4130 Background: Germline genomic alterations (GA) in BRCA1 or BRCA2 ( BRCA) are associated with increased risk of pancreatic cancer. Tumors with BRCA GA may be more sensitive to platinum (Pt) therapies or PARP inhibitors (PARPi). However, secondary reversion mutations (revGA) that may restore BRCA function and underlie reduced sensitivity to Pt compounds or PARPi can arise. Methods: DNA extracted from FFPE tumor tissue obtained during routine clinical care for 7077 patients with predominantly relapsed, refractory or metastatic pancreatobiliary carcinoma was analyzed using comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP) for all classes of GA: base substitutions, indels, rearrangements, and copy number changes. RevGA were any GA that could restore the reading frame if in cis with a nonsense or frameshift (fs) GA. Tumor tissue only was used to predict germline (g BRCA) or somatic status by an algorithm with a call rate of 85% and > 95% accuracy. Results: 417/7077 (5.9% ± 0.5%) tumors had ≥1 deleterious BRCA GA; 205 (2.9% ± 0.4%) had a predicted g BRCA GA. Significantly fewer women had deleterious BRCA GA (182/417; 43.6%)(p = 0.02); g BRCA GA frequency did not differ significantly (96/205; 46.8%)(p = NS). Overall, 49.1% of patients were women. 12 samples harbored potential revGA: pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (ACa) (7) or acinar cell carcinoma (Ca) (2), gallbladder ACa (2), and pancreatobiliary Ca NOS (1). 10/12 samples with revGA were metastases. Potential revGA were of 3 types: overlapping indel (7), compensatory fs (4), and missense (2). One case harbored 2 indels, both with potential to excise a fs GA. Apparent g BRCA were present in 7 cases, only somatic BRCA GA in 3 cases, and g BRCA/somatic status was ambiguous in 2 cases. For 2 patients, testing of multiple samples reveals the acquisition of revGA over time. KRAS mutation frequencies were similar for all samples (57.1%), BRCA-mutated samples (58.8%) and revGA-positive samples (58.3%). Clinical histories for patients with revGA will be presented. Conclusions: CGP of 7077 pancreatobiliary carcinomas reveals 5.9% had ≥1 deleterious BRCA GA, nearly 50% of which were g BRCA. Although rare, revGA can be acquired over time and potentially compensatory missense, fs and indel mutations were observed.

Details of the preparation and crystal structure of the title compound are given. Crystals of glycinatodimethylgallium are monoclinic, a = 12.502(1), b = 12.023(1), c = 10.732(1) Å, β = 110.05(1)°, Z = 8, space group P21/c. The structure was solved by conventional heavy atom methods and was refined by full-matrix least-squares procedures to R = 0.033 and Rw = 0.039 for 1172 reflections with I ≥ 3σ(I). The structure consists of monomeric (C2H4NO2)GaMe2 molecules which are linked together by an extensive network of [Formula: see text] hydrogen bonds. The Ga atoms have tetrahedral coordination geometry with bond lengths averaged over the two crystallographically independent molecules: Ga—O = 1.958(18), Ga—N = 2.031(5), and Ga—C = 1.937(7) Å.

Abstract:
Introduction: Ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging modality, safe for both the mother and the fetus, which uses a high frequency sound to generate images of body tissues and organs. It has been widely used for fetal evaluation and dating. Purpose: To determine normative values of fetal heart circumference (FHC) as a predictor of the gestational age (GA) in black population and compare it to those of the Caucasian population. Material and Methods: A prospective cross-sectional study was carried at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH), Nigeria. 324 women with a singleton pregnancy between 12-40 weeks, who conceived naturally, were scanned using a 2D ultrasound machine with a 3.5 MHz curvilinear probe. Two fetal heart diametersat right angle to each other were taken at the level of the four-heart chamber view, during diastole. Results: There is a strong positive linear correlation between the FHC and the GA (r2= 0.964, p&amp;lt;0.001). The equation of GA prediction is Y=0.246X + 5.06 (where y=GA, X=FHC). FHC weekly growth rate is 3.81mm. FHC is more accurate between 12-20 weeks GA and its accuracy decreases as the pregnancy progresses. There is a strong correlation between FHC and biparietal diameter (BPD) (r2=0.959), HC(r2=0.946) and FL (r2= 0.962). Conclusion: The study has derived a nomogram of FHC as a predictor of the GA in Nigerian population and has shown that the FHC is a good predictor of GA especially in the early second trimester. Also, there was a statistically significant difference between the FHC in our study population (blacks) and those of the Caucasian population.

Abstract:
Diabetes causes about 5% of all deaths globally each year. Glycated hemoglobin has been routinely used as a biomarker for long-termglycemic control. Glycated albumin is an intermediate glycemic marker, a potent atherogenic protein, which plays a role in developingatherosclerosis. LDL/HDL cholesterol ratio can be used to assess the risk of cardiovascular disease caused by impaired lipid metabolismin type 2 diabetic patients. The aim of this study was to know the association between GA and HbA1c with LDL/HDL cholesterol ratioin type 2 diabetic patients. The study was carried out by a cross sectional design. Eighty four type 2 diabetic patients admitted to theInternal Medicine Outpatient Clinic of the Dr. Moewardi Hospital who met the study inclusion criteria were studied. Linear Regressionand Chi Square tests were used to analyze the data, p value of &lt;0.05 was considered statistically significant, with the confidenceinterval of 95%. In this study, significant associations between GA and HbA1c with LDL/HDL cholesterol ratio (R=0629 and R=0.501,p=0.001) were found. Type 2 diabetic patients with GA ≥17% obtaining LDL/HDL cholesterol ratio &gt;1.85 was 10.33 greater thanthose of with GA &lt;17% (RP=10.33; CI 95%; 1.01–109.49; p=0.018). While type 2 diabetic patients with HbA1c ≥7% obtaining anLDL/HDL cholesterol ratio &gt;1.85 was 12.76 greater than those with HbA1c &lt;7%, but was statistically not significant (RP=12.76; CI95%; 0.66–245; p=0.017). Based on this study it can be concluded that GA can be used to predict LDL/HDL cholesterol ratio. Thus,GA is superior to HbA1c in predicting LDL/HDL cholesterol ratio.

Abstract:
These shifts were mostly reported from independent sediment sections. In this study, we measured isotopic ratios and elemental contents of C, S and N in the same samples from a pristine drill core retrieved from the Tumbiana Formation (2,73 Ga). Organic δ 13C values vary from -43 to -34%o, reflecting variable contribution of 13C-depleted methanotrophic biomass. Sulfide δ 34S show small variation from -5,8 to 2,7%o, suggesting that the 2,73 Ga environment of the Tumbiana Formation was sulfate-limited. Mass-Independent-Fractionation of S isotopes show anomalies ranging between -0. 24 and 1. 64%o, indicating anoxic environmental conditions. A positive correlation between the 12C-enrichment of organic matter and increasing MIF-S was observed, maybe due to the decrease in atmospheric methane concentration as a result of biotic methane assimilation. Sedimentary N show strong 15N enrichment with 815N values ranging between 8,6 and 50,4%o. I propose here a process of the oxidation of ammonium to nitrite to explain these high 515N values. This thesis reports, for the first time, integrated C, N and S isotopes measurements in the same sedimentary formation at 2,73 Ga. It shows that δ 15N and δ 13C strong excursions are synchronous with the onset of Δ 33S increase while δ 34S variations remain minor. These integrated isotopes approach facilitate to identify different types of metabolisms with respect to environmental conditions. Our results suggest that a stepwise increase in the oceanic oxidation degree could exist 400 Ma before the Great Oxidation Event

Abstract:

POISSON, STEPHANIE. "Role structural du cation trivalent dans les verres a#2o-m#2o#3-p#2o#5 (a = li, na et m = ga, fe). Abstract:

Abstract:
L'evolution thermique a haute temperature a ete suivie a l'aide de techniques multiples (atd, atg, diffraction x, analyse chimique).

Abstract:
碩士<br>國立中興大學<br>分子生物學研究所<br>101<br>Abstract GA 2-oxidases (GA2oxs) is a class of 2-oxoglutarate-dependent dioxygenases (2-ODDs), could deactivate bioactive and precursor form of Gibberellins (GAs) by 2β-hydroxylation. According to previous studies, 10 putative GA 2-oxidases are identified in rice genome; however, OsGA2ox4, OsGA2ox7 and GA2ox8 have not studied yet. In order to confirm whether the OsGA2ox4, OsGA2ox7 and GA2ox8 protein possessed the enzyme function of GA 2-oxidase, two approaches were used in this study. One approach was overexpressing the OsGA2ox4, OsGA2ox7 and GA2ox8 genes ecotopically in TNG67. The second approach was utilizing the T-DNA mutant OsGA2ox4ACT (M97597), OsGA2ox7ACT (M85372) and OsGA2ox8ACT (M61685) with the expectation of the target gene actived. The phenotype of GA deficiency in rice is dwarfism. Therefore, the plant height of transgenic plants differed to TNG67 suggest that whether OsGA2ox4, OsGA2ox7 and GA2ox8 protein possessed the enzyme function of GA 2-oxidase. The target gene were overexpressed in transgenic construct ubi:GA2ox4 and ubi:GA2ox7 but not in ubi:GA2ox8. The averge plant height of ubi:GA2ox4 was 5.4 cm, the plant height of ubi:GA2ox7 was 66 cm. The expression level of OsGA2ox4 was clearly associated to its plant height in ubi:OsGA2ox4. As for the ubi:OsGA2ox8 transgenic plant, the OsGA2ox8 gene was not overexpressed by ubiquitin promoter and the plant height was similar to TNG67. Therefore, the activity of OsGA2ox8 could not be identified in this approach. In the second approach, among three T-DNA mutants, OsGA2ox4Act (M97597) and OsGA2ox7Act (M85372) T-DNA mutant showed the same plant height as that of TNG67, but OsGA2ox8Act (M61685) showed semi-dwarf indicated OsGA2ox8 possessed the function of GA 2-oxidase. Taking together the result from transgenic and T-DNA mutant approach, I conclude that OsGA2ox4, OsGA2ox7 and OsGA2ox8 possessed enzyme function of GA 2-oxidase.

Abstract:
This paper is a collection of previous studies for function identification by simple genetic algorithm (GA) [1] with tree chromosome structure which has been proposed in [2]-[7], and gives the details more than survey paper. This paper also aims to introduce the studies which were written in Japanese. In this paper, there are five main points. First, a tree chromosome structure, which is the core idea of the studies, is introduced. The tree chromosome structure makes GA succeed in function identification called symbolic regression. Second, the proposed GA with tree chromosome structure succeeded in identifying the target functions from the observed data are shown indeed. The target functions are algebraic functions, primary transcendental functions, time series functions including chaos function, and user-defined one-variable functions. Third, to find function represented with some parentheses, a hierarchical tree chromosome structure is introduced. Forth, some local search methods to aim at the improvement for identification success rate and shortening identification time are introduced. In the end of this paper, the proposed tree and hierarchical tree chromosome structure can be adapted for identifying Boolean functions are laid out.

Abstract:
Seventy per cent of patients who present to the ED have pain as their main complaint—and most of the time as a sign of injury or inflammation. Therefore, early assessment by scoring at the point of triage and offering the appropriate analgesia are the first steps towards the management of such patients. The College of Emergency Medicine guidelines suggest that at least 98% of patients in severe pain (pain score of 7–10) should be offered appropriate analgesia within 60min of arrival, or triage, whichever is earlier. In 90% of these patients, the status of pain should be re-evaluated within 60min of receiving the first dose of the analgesic. Despite this clear-cut standard and the availability of a wide variety of analgesics, achieving such a target remains, occasionally, elusive. It must also be realized that a positive experience for the patient largely depends on relief of pain as early as possible. Consequently, one of the primary areas for a new FY1 to focus on is the pain management. Remember it is simple and straightforward in most circumstances. GA may be required in the ED for various clinical indications, for example, cardioversion, facial trauma or burns, and acute respiratory failure (such as in asthma). In an emergency situation it may be a challenging procedure even for an experienced anaesthetist and could be dangerous for the patients. An FY1/2 will never be expected to perform this, but it is important to know when to call for help when the situation demands. Local anaesthesia is widely used in the ED, and is one of the skills foundation trainees learn in the early days. It is comparatively safe if the doctor is aware of how to perform the procedure and the upper limit of the dose for a particular patient. Finally, conscious sedation is also widely used in the ED for reducing fractures and/or dislocations and minor operations. However, it carries the same risks as GA and should be carried out by a doctor who is trained in the procedure as well as in resuscitation. A risk assessment should be performed as a patient with high risks (previous cardiac or respiratory diseases) must be sedated with extreme caution.

Abstract:
Our starting point is not hidden, nor is it far off. It is not an extreme place like Mono Lake or Freswick Castle, but it is a central concept expressed on a single page. The periodic table is the center of chemistry, and therefore of this book. You can spot it at a distance from its vaguely cathedral-like shape. You can see the chemical symbols that it contains on magnets and T-shirts and restaurant signs. Its regular columns are not quite symmetric, but that is because it has been twisted out of its natural shape by the contingencies of history. Rearrange it just a little and a simple mathematical pattern appears. To see this pattern, imagine that the periodic table is made out of beads on an abacus, arranged in the familiar U shape. Then push all the beads to the left: … Row 1 = H- He Row 2 = Li- Be- B- C- N- O- F- Ne Row 3 = Na- Mg- Al- Si- P- S- Cl- Ar Row 4 = K- Ca- Sc- Ti- V- Cr- Mn- Fe- Co- Ni- Cu- Zn- Ga- Ge- As- Se- Br- Kr Row 5 = Rb- Sr- Y- Zr- Nb- Mo- Tc- Ru- Rh- Pd- Ag- Cd- In- Sn- Sb- Te- I- Xe … By row, there are 2, 8, 8, 18, and 18 elements. The pattern continues in the rows below, but it is obscured by the fact that on most tables 14 elements have been moved out of the sixth and seventh rows. On the table here I have put them where they belong. These rows have 32 elements each. This can be simplified even more. The rows increase, first by 2, then by 6 more (2 + 6 = 8), then by 10 more (2 + 6 + 10 = 18), then by 14 (2 + 6 + 10 + 18 = 32). The series 2, 6, 10, 14 is the doubles of counting up by odd numbers: 1, 3, 5, 7. Put another way, each row is equal to 2n + 1 with n = integers from 0.

Abstract:
The multiple parameters that are involved in the design of anisotropic conductive adhesive (ACA) assemblies, and the overlapping influences that they have on the final electrical contact resistance, represent a difficult challenge for the designers. The most conflicting parameters include initial bonding force F, number of particles N, adhesion strength GA, and modulus of elasticity E of the cured resin. It is well known that as the bonding force increases, the contact resistance decreases. However, when the bonding force reaches a certain maximum value, the contact between conductive particle and conductive track is disrupted due to delamination of the cured resin during the elastic recovery. The authors have shown in previous studies that the delamination is caused by high residual stresses and that it depends largely on the adhesion strength of the assembly and on the modulus of elasticity of the cured resin. Additionally, the authors have provided a methodology to quantify the maximum threshold value of the bonding force for different numbers of particles trapped between mating conductive tracks. In this paper, the relationships between contact resistance R and each one of these conflicting parameters are systematically combined to create design diagrams that give regions of robust design. It is found, for example, that for particles of radius 5μm, E = 0.9 GPa, GA = 50 J/m2, and 2 ≤ N ≤ 5, the required bonding force to achieve contact resistance within the range 7 &lt; R &lt; 40 mω, is 2.5 &lt; F &lt; 20mN.
