Abstract:
Abstract Introduction: AL amyloidosis is a very heterogeneous disease. Prognosis is a function of organ tropism, extent of organ damage, and ability of tissues to heal, the last of which relates both to hematologic response and intrinsic toxicity of the light chain. Using mass spectroscopy (MS) technology, we are able to distinguish immunoglobulin light chain variable gene family (IGVL) usage on clinical samples. The goal of this study was to evaluate if IGVL usage impacts patient outcomes in patients with light chain amyloidosis (AL). Methods: IGVL usage was determined by mass spectroscopy (MS) of amyloid in clinical tissue specimens of Mayo Clinic patients. Specimens were from fat pad (n=257), bone marrow (n=172), myocardium (n=113), gastrointestinal (n=58), kidney (n=20), lung (n=15), and nerve (n=5). For those cases for which the IGVL could not be identified--not otherwise specified (NOS)—but constant region could be identified as lambda or kappa, we assume that the amyloid consisted primarily of immunoglobulin light chain gene constant regions or variable genes with somatic mutations making them uninterpretable to our matching algorithms. The medical records from these 700 patients were abstracted for relevant clinical and laboratory data. Results: The baseline characteristics of patients are shown in table 1. Three hundred and thirty-two patients have died with a median follow-up of surviving patients of 38 months. The estimated median survival for the entire population is 59 months. Out of 700 patients, 214 (31%) achieved a CR or a VGPR, 432 (62%) were not evaluable (NE) for hematologic or organ response, and 54 (8%) achieved a PR or did not respond (NR). The distribution of IGVL cases is shown in table 2. Overall survival (OS) for the whole group was not different across different IGVLs on univariate analysis, but when corrected for hematologic response, outcomes differed significantly based on IGVL. Patients could be further assembled into two groups, based on risk for death on univariate analyses: an IGVL high risk, which included KV1, LV1, LV2, LV3, and LV6; and low risk, which included all other cases (Figure). In a multivariate model that included level of hematologic response (CR/VGPR versus PR/NR/NE) and IGVL, IGVL family was independently associated with overall survival (RR=1.5 (95% CI 1.2-1.9, p=0.008). The risk ratio for CR/VGPR was 0.28 (95% CI 0.20-0.38, p<0.0001). This effect persisted when either the Mayo 2006 or the 2012 staging system was included in the multivariate. Conclusion: IGVL usage appears to have prognostic significance in patients who have not achieved VGPR or better to initial chemotherapy. Table 1. ABSTRACTOnly two large collections of Hildegard of Bingen's music are extant, today housed in the Katholieke Universiteit in Leuven (B-LVu, no shelf number) and in the Hochschul-und Landesbibliothek RheinMain in Wiesbaden (D-WI1 2, the so-called ‘Riesencodex’). The Riesencodex, though, was almost lost during World War II. It survived both bombing and plundering in Dresden in February 1945, only to be appropriated by the Soviet Administration in 1947. Using archival records from the Hessisches Hauptstaatsarchiv in Wiesbaden from the 1940s and 1950s, I detail the efforts of a number of people to retrieve the manuscript after the war and bring it back to Wiesbaden. Franz Götting, the director of the Wiesbaden library, spent several years trying to recover the manuscript through official channels. Its eventual return to Wiesbaden in 1948, however, came about surreptitiously, largely through the efforts of Margarete Kühn at the German Academy in East Berlin and an American woman, Caroline Walsh, in Berlin as a military spouse.

Abstract:
Three cDNA with D region gene features have been identified from the H-2v haplotype. Provisionally, the sequences have been designated as D/Lv1, D/Lv2, and D/Lv3. The coding segments for the antigen binding domain (ABD) of all three D/Lv genes were engineered into a class I genomic expression vector and expressed in L cells. FACS analysis of the three D/Lv-Ld gene transfectants revealed that the D/Lv1 molecules were recognized by both monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) 141 and 142, and the D/Lv2 molecules were recognized by mAb 143. In addition to the D/Lv1 molecules, the mAb 141 also recognized the D/Lv3 molecules. Both the D/Lv1-Ld and D/Lv2-Ld transfectants were killed efficiently by H-2Dv region-specific alloreactive CTL. The D/Lv3 gene is the first identified D region gene other than D and L that is transcribed abundantly in spleen and the D/Lv3 RNA is present as two alternatively spliced forms. Structural analysis of the D/Lv3 hybrid molecules showed that it was susceptible to proteolysis and thermolabile at 37 degrees C, suggesting D/Lv3 is a transcribed pseudogene. A parsimony tree analysis of three D/Lv sequences with a set of class I gene sequences revealed that the H-2v sequences clustered with D region genes. The presence of a third gene with D/L-like features in H-2v, yet structurally different from the known D/L alleles, raises the possibility that the current D/L genes evolved from a family of D/L-like genes, some of which are no longer represented among many of the mouse major histocompatibility complex haplotypes. The observation that D region alleles cluster into subgroups suggests that the alleles are not all related to each other by linear descent through a single locus. We propose that current alleles are derived from more than one ancestral locus in a manner similar to the origin of the gamma 2 a immunoglobulin constant region alleles.

Abstract:
Abstract Patients with immunoglobulin M (IgM) light chain (AL) amyloidosis have a distinct clinical presentation compared with those with non-IgM amyloidosis. We hypothesized that differential immunoglobulin light-chain variable region (IGVL) gene usage may explain the differences in organ involvement, because IGVL usage correlates with organ tropism. IGVL usage was evaluated by mass spectrometry of amyloid deposits (IgM, n = 45; non-IgM, n = 391) and differed across the 2 groups. In the λ family, LV2-08 (13% vs 2%; P &lt; .001) and LV2-14 (36% vs 10%; P &lt; .001) usage was more common in IgM vs non-IgM amyloidosis, whereas LV1-44 (0% vs 10%; P = .02) and LV6-57 (2% vs 18%; P = .004) usage was less common. In the κ family, there was a trend toward higher KV4-01 (11% vs 4%; P = .06) usage in IgM amyloidosis. IGVL usage correlated with disease characteristics/organ tropism. LV2-14 (more common in IgM amyloidosis) has historically been associated with peripheral nerve involvement and lower light chain burden, which were more frequent in IgM amyloidosis. LV1-44 (less common in IgM), associated with cardiac involvement, was less frequent in IgM patients. LV6-57 (less common in IgM) is associated with t(11;14), which was less frequent in IgM patients. In conclusion, IGVL gene usage differs in patients with IgM vs non-IgM amyloidosis and may explain the distinct clinical presentation.

Abstract:
615 Background: Systemic chemotherapy plays a role in treating neuroendocrine tumors. Trifluridine/tipiracil (FTD/TPI), known as TAS-102, is an antineoplastic agent that is non-cross resistant with 5-fluorouracil and capecitabine and that has a different toxicity profile. We are presenting results from a phase 1 portion of the study evaluating safety of FTD/TPI in combination with TMZ in patients in neuroendocrine tumors. Methods: Phase 1 portion to the study utilized “3+3” design to determine maximum tolerated doses (MTD) of FTD/TPI and TMZ when administered in combination. Patients with advanced NETs of any grade were eligible for participation. FTD/TPI was taken twice a day on days 1-5 and 8-12 and TMZ was taken daily on days 8-12 of a 28 day cycle. 3 dose levels (Lv) were evaluated. FTD/TPI was started at a goal dose of 35 mg/m2 twice daily. Three doses of TMZ were studied: 100, 150 and 200 mg/m2. Growth factor support was required during DLT evaluation period for all patients starting with the fourth subject on study. Results: Sixteen evaluable subjects (6 females, median age 64) enrolled in the phase 1 portion of the study (4 on Lv1, 6 on Lv2, 6 on Lv3). 3/16 had high-grade tumors, 8/16 had non-GI or unknown primary. No DLTs were observed on Lv1. One DLT was observed on Lv2 (grade 3 fatigue and inability to resume treatment) and 1 DLT on Lv3 (grade 4 thrombocytopenia). Overall the treatment was well tolerated. 7 subjects had grade ≥3 AEs at least possibly related to treatment, with neutropenia and lymphopenia being the most common. 4 subjects required dose reductions. 7 subjects remain on active treatment. 4 subjects discontinued treatment due to AEs and 1 due to clinical disease progression. Efficacy data is being collected and will be presented at the meeting. Conclusions: This study established MTD of FTD/TPI (35mg/m2 twice daily) and TMZ (200 mg/m2). This regimen is well tolerated. Enrollment into expansion cohort for patients with advanced Grade 1-2 pancreatic NETs is ongoing (NCT02943733). Clinical trial information: NCT02943733.

Abstract:
Introduction: The clinical presentation and frequency of organ involvement are quite distinct in patients with IgM amyloidosis compared to patients with non-IgM amyloidosis, with less heart involvement and more nerve, soft tissue and lung involvement in IgM patients. It has been observed that immunoglobulin light chain variable region (IGVL) gene and gene family of the plasma cell clone impact phenotypic manifestations in AL amyloidosis, particularly organ tropism. (Kourelis et al. Blood. 2017;129). Given the variability in clinical features amongst patients with IgM vs. non IgM AL amyloidosis, we hypothesized that IGVL gene usage would be different between these two groups. Methods: Patients with newly diagnosed IgM and non-IgM amyloidosis seen at our institution from 01/2006 to 12/2015 were identified. IGVL gene usage was assessed by liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) as previously described. (Vrana et al Blood 2009;Dasari et al J of Proteome Res; Kourelis et al. Blood. 2017). Mass spectrometry data for IGVL analysis was obtained from clinically available data. LC/MS/MS was performed on available archival specimens when such data was not available clinically. Results: Patients with newly diagnosed amyloidosis who had sufficient mass spectrometry data on fat aspirate or tissue biopsy for IGVL gene usage identification were included (IgM AL, N=44 and Non-IgM AL, N=391). Clinical Features: As expected, differences were noted in baseline characteristics of patients with IgM vs. non-IgM AL amyloidosis. Patients with IgM amyloidosis were older (68 vs. 64 years, p=0.04) and more likely to have kappa as the involved light chain (34% vs. 25%, p=0.2), though the difference did not reach statistical significance. IgM amyloidosis patients had lower difference in involved and uninvolved free light chains (dFLC) (15.5 vs. 25.8 mg/dL, p=0.01) and lower NTProBNP levels (median: 1987 vs. 2655 pg/mL, p=0.02) compared with non-IgM amyloid patients. Presence of t(11;14) was less common by FISH (30% vs. 48%, p=0.1), though the difference did not reach statistical significance. Patterns of organ involvement were different, with heart involvement being less frequent in IgM patients (64% vs. 76%), while peripheral nerve (30% vs. 18%, p=0.05), soft tissue (41% vs. 21%, p=0.005) and lung involvement (7% vs. 3%, p=0.1) were more common in patients with IgM vs. non-IgM AL amyloidosis. There was no difference in liver (9% vs. 15%), kidney (50% vs. 51%) GI (23% vs. 25%) or autonomic nervous system involvement (18% vs. 14%). IGVL Gene Usage: As shown in Figure 1, IGVL usage differed across the two groups. In the lambda group, LV2-08 (14% vs. 2%, p<0.001) and LV2-14 (36% vs. 10%, p<0.001) were more common in IgM amyloid patients, while LV1-44 (0% vs. 10%, p=0.02) and LV6-57 (2% vs. 18%, p=0.004) were less common in the IgM group. There was also a trend towards less frequent involvement of LV3-01 (2% vs. 12%, p=0.07) in IgM amyloid patients. In the kappa group, KV4-01 (11% vs. 4%, p=0.04) was more common in patients with IgM amyloidosis. Correlation Between IGVL Gene usage and Clinical Features: IGVL gene usage correlated with disease characteristics and differences in the clinical presentation of patients across the two groups. LV2-14 was more commonly seen in IgM amyloid patients (above). It has been previously associated with a higher frequency of peripheral nerve involvement (Kourelis et al. Blood 2017), which was more frequent in IgM group. LV2-14 is also associated with low dFLC levels, which were noted to be lower in the IgM AL cohort. LV1-44 has been associated with higher likelihood of cardiac involvement. LV1-44 was seen less frequently in the IgM amyloid patients, who also had lower rates of cardiac involvement. LV6-57 has been historically associated with higher rates of t(11;14). It was less common in IgM AL patients, who also had lower rates of t(11;14). Conclusions: IGVL gene usage differed significantly in patients with IgM vs. non-IgM amyloidosis, correlating with differences in disease characteristics and organ involvement. This is the first study to our knowledge to report IGVL gene usage differences in IgM vs. non-IgM AL amyloidosis. Abstract:
No solo, a concentração e as formas de carbono solúvel em água (CSA) são reguladas por atributos como qualidade e teor de matéria orgânica, acidez, disponibilidade de nutrientes, mineralogia e fatores ligados à comunidade microbiana. Este estudo teve por objetivo avaliar as quantidades e formas de carbono (C) em lixiviados de Latossolos com diferentes teores de Fe sob influência de calcário e, ou, P. Em áreas da Bacia do Rio das Mortes (MG), amostras de Latossolos Vermelhos (mesoférrico (LV1) e hipoférrico (LV2)) foram coletadas e submetidas aos seguintes tratamentos: 1- controle; 2- P (50 % da capacidade máxima de adsorção de P); 3- calcário (V = 85 %); 4- Ca + P (doses dos tratamentos 3 e 4). Foi adotado o delineamento experimental inteiramente casualizado, com três repetições por tratamento. As quantidades e a distribuição de massa molar do CSA foram avaliadas em dez coletas consecutivas de lixiviados. Além disso, foram avaliados os teores e tipos de ácidos orgânicos de baixa massa molar (AOBMM) associados ao CSA. Em ambos os solos, as quantidades de CSA aumentaram na seguinte ordem: controle < calcário < P < Ca + P. O CSA foi maior no LV2, em relação ao LV1. A massa molar média das frações de CSA no efluente aumentou com o tempo, para os tratamentos com Ca + P. As maiores massas molares foram observadas para o LV2, nos tratamentos com P e Ca + P. Em geral, o LV1 perdeu mais C na forma de AOBMM do que o LV2.

Abstract:
We have mapped the gene encoding the T cell differentiation antigen Leu-2/T8 to human chromosome 2 by hybridization of a Leu-2/T8 complementary DNA clone to DNA from a panel of mouse-human cell hybrids. In situ hybridization further localizes the gene to the 2p1 region in close proximity to the Ig kappa light chain gene. The Leu-2/T8 gene translocates with C kappa to chromosome 8 in a Burkitt lymphoma line carrying a t(2;8) translocation. These data support the hypothesis that Leu-2/T8 is the human homologue of the mouse Lyt-2,3 antigen.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka hur rättssäkerhet vid socialnämndens respektive domstolens bedömningar gällande LVU 2§ beskrivs och diskuteras i aktuell forskning. Efter en utförlig sökning fann vi 12 avhandlingar och artiklar som överensstämde med studiens syfte. Resultatet av studien visar att socialnämndens bedömningar i hög grad är subjektiva och att lagens formulering ger stort utrymme för tolkning. Ur rättssäkerhetssynpunkt ser vi ett behov av att de förutsättningar som ska ligga till grund för ett omhändertagande kompletteras och att formuleringen av lagen förtydligas.

The study’s first aim was to analyse the construction of parenthood and parental abilities in court verdicts concerning the removal of children due to environmental factors according to The Care of Young Persons Special Provisions Act. The second aim of the study was to analyse if a parent’s gender, class, or ethnicity affected the outcome of the courts’ verdict. The results were analysed using Michél Foucault’s theories on discourse and power and Tina Mattsson’s theories on categorization and intersectionality. The study found that parents were characterized by their conceived flaws in parenting in relation to what needs they were deemed as not fulfilling for their children. Those parents were also seen as deviating from the norm. One of the key aspects influencing the court’s verdict was if the parent displayed insight into their perceived problem and showed a willingness to change and cooperate with authorities. The results also showed that verdicts where children were placed into the custody of the social services tended to be based on a child protection paradigm, whereas verdicts where parents could keep custody were based on a child welfare paradigm. Another finding was that mothers were more likely to be seen as primary caregivers than fathers, and therefore more likely to be deemed as unfit parents. A mother’s mental illness was seen as a sign of unfit parenthood. Parents with substance abuse issues were often deemed unreliable as parents. Non-European parents who controlled their children were seen as the most deviant from the norm. Their children were seen as having to choose between either “freedom” or their family. An intersectional analysis showed how social injustices were maintained in the current discourse of child protection through marginalization. Finally, implications for social work were discussed based on the findings of the study.

Abstract:

The intention with the study is to describe the home and life conditions for boys at the age range between 13 to 18 year, who has been under custody according to the § 2 LVU.

The empiric is 21 real court cases, judged in Stockholm and to Stockholm counted surround-ings 2006, in which the range of the boys were representative.

A text analyze method is used to execute the study. The study penetrates the life situation of the caregiver and how their situation affects the boy and the boys actions.

The total conclusion of the study, based on an ecological evolution perspective, is that life-situation of the caregiver affects the boys and the boys actions.

The boys are affected negatively by the situation of their caregivers, and according to the study, the boys have established own problems, like difficulties in school, criminality, or other psychological diagnoses. They are also often exposed to physical or psychological violence by the caregiver. Additionally the conclusion is that the caregiver neglect the boys in many other ways, prior themselves and their needs before the boys.

Studien behandlade tvångsomhändertagande av barn enligt 2 § Lagen med särskilda bestämmelser om vård av unga (LVU). Syftet var att studera lag och rättstillämpning med utgångspunkt i ett könsperspektiv för att undersöka vad som kom till uttryck om manliga respektive kvinnliga vårdnadshavare. Tidigare forskning i ämnet var begränsad. Den litteratur som användes handlade om olika aspekter av tvångsvård av barn samt forskning om synen på föräldraskap inom socialt arbete. Empirin som användes bestod av lagstiftning på området och av 40 länsrättsdomar från år 2002 som behandlade beredande av vård enligt 2 § LVU. I studien av lagstiftningen användes rättsdogmatisk metod och i studien av länsrättsdomarna användes rättssociologisk metod. Resultaten visade på en differens mellan lagrekvisitens utformning i 2 § LVU och hur de tolkades och användes i länsrättens bedömning, där lagen i huvudsak var könsneutral medan tillämpningen var påverkad av samhälleliga normer om föräldraskap. Slutsatserna som drogs var att länsrätten medverkade till reproduceringen av en ojämlik ansvarsbörda mellan könen i föräldraskapet och att lagen behövde utformas mindre könsneutralt för att synliggöra den faktiska situationen där kvinnliga vårdnadshavare bar ett större ansvar än manliga vårdnadshavare gjorde.

Barnets rätt till känslomässigt tillgängliga föräldrar synliggörs i både handböcker, riktlinjer och prejudikat. Trots det finns ingen tydlig definition eller fastställande kring hur bristande känslomässig tillgänglighet ska tillämpas rättsligt. Därför är studiens syfte att undersöka diskursen kring bristande känslomässig tillgänglighet. Detta för att få en ökad förståelse för hur förvaltningsrätten förhåller sig till begreppet i domar enligt 2 § Lag (1990:52) med särskilda bestämmelser om vård av unga utan att ha en tydlig definition eller bevisbörda att utgå ifrån. Metoden som används för att studera diskursen är Faircloughs kritiska diskursanalys enligt den tredimensionella modellen. Vi vill synliggöra eventuella diskursiva skillnader gällande mammor och pappor samt socialnämnden och förvaltningsrätten. Det genomförs utifrån två genusteoretiska perspektiv, Hirdmans genuskontrakt och Bohmans teori om den “goda” och “problematiska” modern, samt Foucaults teori om makt. Resultatet visar hur diskursen skiljer sig åt mellan könen genom att benämna och belysa bristande känslomässig tillgänglighet av mammor och pappor. Resultatet påvisar även en maktordning mellan förvaltningsrätten och socialnämnden, där förvaltningsrätten har en överordnad makthierarki gentemot socialnämnden som tar sig i uttryck i ordval, formuleringar och i vilken grad av modalitet som används. Studien kompletterar nuvarande forskning och fyller ett tomrum i synliggörandet av hur bristande känslomässig tillgänglighet används i rättstillämpningen.

Syftet med studien är att bidra med kunskap kring hur diskursen kring barns bästa definieras av professionella i förvaltningsrätten där det fattas beslut om att barn ska placeras i familjehem enligt LVU 2 § (1990:52). Det empiriska materialet utgick ifrån 15 stycken förvaltningsrättsliga domar där socialnämndens vårdplan angavs vara beredande av vård utanför föräldrahemmet. Barnen i domarna var mellan noll till sex år och det fanns ingen förekomst av syskonpar i materialet. Studien är kvalitativ och Norman Faircloughs diskursanalys används både teori och metod tillsammans med barndomssociologi som ytterligare en teori. Resultatet i studien visar att diskursen kring små barns bästa hos de professionella till största del handlar om barnets grundläggande behov. De ofta ses som en homogen grupp med behov som inte skiljer sig från varandra. Vidare visar studien att små barn ofta blir objekt i rättsprocessen medans föräldrarna blir subjekt utifrån deras tillkortakommanden.
The aim of the study is to contribute with knowledge about how the discourse about the term children's best interest is defined in administrative court when a decision is made that the child should be placed in foster care according to LVU 2 § (1990:52). The empirical material is made of 15 orders from the administrative court where the social welfare boards care plan is for the child to be placed out of the family home. The children in the study is between the ages of zero to six and there were no cases in which there were siblings involved. The study is qualitative and uses Norman Fairclough's discourse analysis both as a theory and method and is used together with childhood sociology as a additional theory. The results of the study indicates that the discourse about small children's best interest is mostly about the child's basic care needs. They are often seen as a homogeneous group whose needs did not differ from one another. Further the study's results shows that small children often become objectified in the legal process and that the parents failings in many cases are seen as primary and the child perspective is seen as secondary.

I närmare 100 år har sociala frågor diskuterats i Sverige och i takt med att samhället förändras, ändras även synen på människan och samhällets normer och värderingar. Synen på vad som är sociala problem och vad som orsakar dem har förändrats och även det sociala arbetet genomgår förändringar och påverkas kontinuerligt av både lokala och globala processer. De sociala skillnaderna har de senaste årtiondena ökat både mellan och inom länder och sociala skillnader kan idag även ses mellan geografiska områden i städer. När en förvaltningsrätt ska avgöra frågan om ett barn ska vårdas av samhället, övergår det sociala arbetet till att även bli en rättslig process. Syftet i den här studien har varit att undersöka rättstillämpningen av 2 § LVU vid förvaltningsrätten i Luleå och Malmö. Genom valet av de två förvaltningsrätterna får studien med en samhällskontext vilket gjorde det möjligt att närmare undersöka om förändringar av samhällets normer och värderingar även kan ses vid beslut om beredande av vård för barn genom tvång. I studien undersöktes vilka rekvisit de båda förvaltningsrätterna grundat sina beslut på och vilka likheter som kunde ses i det fattade besluten gällande bifall eller avslag på socialnämndernas ansökningar om vård enligt 2 § LVU. En kvalitativ ansats med innehållsanalys som metod har använts för studien som omfattar 31 förvaltningsrättsbeslut och berörde 42 barn. I studien har domskälen i förvaltningsrätternas beslut använts för att identifiera de rekvisit och argument som förvaltningsrätterna angett som grund för sina beslut. Resultatet av de i studien ingående 42 ärendena, med 37 bifall respektive fem avslag, var jämnt fördelade mellan de båda förvaltningsrätterna. Av de fyra rekvisiten i 2 § LVU har de båda förvaltningsrätterna nämnt rekvisitet brister i omsorgen i nästan samtliga bifallna beslut. I de ansökningar som rätterna avslog, angavs också liknande rättsliga argument. Studiens resultat visar på slutsatser om att liknande fall har bedömts på liknande sätt och med liknande rättsliga argument av de båda förvaltningsrätterna.

Synen på barns behov och föräldraskap varierar i takt med att samhället förändras och varje samhälle har sin syn på barn och föräldrar. Det existerar debatter i samhället gällande vad sociala problem är och när samhället behöver ingripa för en individs skydd. Årligen omhändertas tusentals barn i Sverige för vård utanför det egna hemmet. Denna uppsats syftar att genom ett diskursanalytiskt perspektiv undersöka görandet av barns behov och föräldraskap i 2 § LVU-domar från 2015 samt hur tvångsomhändertaganden motiverades med hjälp av dessa konstruktioner. Frågorna som ämnar besvara syftet är; hur talas det om barns behov och föräldraskap samt vilken betydelse tillmäts barn och föräldrars utsagor i domarna? För att besvara detta genomfördes en diskursanalys av 21 domar som avgjordes av Luleå förvaltningsrätt 2015. Utifrån analysarbetet framträdde en diskurs om barns behov och en diskurs om föräldraskap. Diskurserna visade sig både vara beroende och i ständig påverkan av varandra. Inom barndiskursen sågs barn främst som skyddsvärda medan det aktiva aktörskapet var nedtonat. Inom föräldradiskursen sågs föräldrar som oförmögna och de befann sig i försvarsposition där deras trovärdighet ifrågasattes. Beroende på vilka beskrivningar som framfördes om familjerna och hur deras trovärdighet bedömdes gavs parternas utsagor olika utrymme i domarna.

Abstract Laser Voltage Imaging (LVI) has become a well-established method for isolating scan-shift (i.e., scan chain integrity) tests failures [1, 2]. When LVI is coupled with time-domain information acquired using Continuous-Wave Laser Voltage Probing (CW-LVP) [3], the Physical Failure Analysis (PFA) success rate exceeds 90% for all types of failing conditions, from hard stuck-at fails to soft transition fails. This combination of Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) techniques is effective because of its ability to pre-isolate the defect to a small enough area for successful PFA. While high PFA success rates are proven, there remains the issue of throughput: CW-LVP can be time consuming, and techniques that minimize the need for it are important. This paper introduces a novel LVI methodology that incorporates phase information [4] and reduces the need for CW-LVP for certain types of failures. Case studies will be presented.

Abstract Static Random-Access Memory (SRAM) failure analysis (FA) is important during chip-level reliability evaluation and yield improvement. Single-bit, paired-bit, and quad-bit failures—whose defect should be at the failing bit-cell locations—can be directly sent for Physical Failure Analysis (PFA). For one or multiple row/column failures with too large of a suspected circuit area, more detailed fault isolation is required before PFA. Currently, Photon Emission Microscopy (PEM) is the most commonly used Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) technique for this kind of fail [1]. Soft-Defect Localization / Dynamic Laser Stimulation (SDL/DLS) can also be applied on soft (Vmin) row/column fails for further isolation [2]. However, some failures do not have abnormal emission spots or DLS sensitivity and require different localization techniques. Laser Voltage Imaging (LVI) and Laser Voltage Probing (LVP) are widely established for logic EFA, [3] but require periodic activation via ATE which may not be possible using MBIST hardware and test-patterns optimized for fast production testing. This paper discusses the test setup challenges to enable LVI & LVP on SRAM fails and includes two case studies on &lt;14 nm advanced process silicon.

A 2-phase annular seal stand (2PASS) has been developed at the Turbomachinery Laboratory of Texas A&M University to measure the leakage and rotordynamic coefficients of division wall or balance-piston annular seals in centrifugal compressors. 2PASS was modified from an existing pure-air annular seal test rig. A special mixer has been designed to inject the oil into the compressed air, aiming to make a homogenous air-rich mixture. Test results are presented for a smooth seal with an inner diameter D of 89.306 mm, a radial clearance Cr of 0.188 mm, and a length-to-diameter ratio L/D of 0.65. The test fluid is a mixture of air and Silicone oil (PSF-5cSt). Tests are conducted with inlet LVF = 0%, 2%, 5%, and 8%, shaft speed ω = 10, 15, and 20 krpm, and pressure ratio PR = 0.43, 0.5, and 0.57. The test seal is concentric with the shaft (centered), and the inlet pressure is 62.1 bars. Complex dynamic stiffness coefficients are measured for the seal. The real parts are generally too dependent on excitation frequency Ω to be modeled by constant stiffness and virtual mass coefficients. The direct real dynamic stiffness coefficients are denoted as KΩ; the cross-coupled real dynamic stiffness coefficients are denoted as kΩ. The imaginary parts of the dynamic stiffness coefficients are modeled by frequency-independent direct C and cross-coupled c damping coefficients. Test results show that the leakage and rotordynamic coefficients are remarkable impacted by changes in inlet LVF. Leakage mass flow rate ṁ drops slightly as inlet LVF increases from zero to 2%, and then increases with further increasing inlet LVF to 8%. As inlet LVF increases from zero to 8%, KΩ generally decreases except it increases as inlet LVF increases from zero to 2% when PR = 0.43. kΩ increases virtually with increasing inlet LVF from zero to 2%. As inlet LVF further increases to 8%, kΩ decreases or remains unchanged. C increases as inlet LVF increases; however, its rate of increase drops significantly at inlet LVF = 2%. Effective damping Ceff combines the stabilizing impact of C and the destabilizing impact of kΩ. Ceff is negative (destabilizing) for lower Ω values and becomes more destabilizing as inlet LVF increases from zero to 2%. It then becomes less destabilizing as inlet LVF is further increased to 8%. Measured ṁ and rotordynamic coefficients are compared with predictions from XLHseal_mix, a program developed by San Andrés [1] based on a bulk-flow model, using the Moody wall-friction model while assuming constant temperature and a homogenous mixture. Predicted ṁ values are close to measurements when inlet LVF = 0 and 2%, and are larger than measured values when inlet LVF = 5% and 8%. As with measurements, predicted ṁ drops slightly as inlet LVF increases from zero to 2%, and then increases with increasing inlet LVF further to 8%. However, in the inlet LVF range of 2∼8%, the predicted effects of inlet LVF on ṁ are weaker than measurements. XLHseal_mix poorly predicts KΩ in most test cases. For all test cases, predicted KΩ decreases as inlet LVF increases from zero to 8%. The increase of KΩ induced by increasing inlet LVF from zero to 2% at PR = 0.43 is not predicted. C is reasonably predicted, and predicted C values are consistently smaller than measured results by 14∼34%. Both predicted and measured C increase as inlet LVF increases. kΩ and Ceff are predicted adequately at pure-air conditions, but not at most mainly-air conditions. The significant increase of kΩ induced by changing inlet LVF from zero to 2% is predicted. As inlet LVF increases 2% to 8%, predicted kΩ continue increasing versus that measured kΩ typically decreases. As with measurements, increasing inlet LVF from zero to 2% decreases the predicted negative values of Ceff, making the test seal more destabilizing. However, as inlet LVF increases further to 8%, the predicted negative values of Ceff drops versus measured values increase. For high inlet LVF values (5% and 8%), the predicted negative values of Ceff are smaller than measurements. So, the seal is actually more stable than predicted for high inlet LVF cases.

Abstract:
he article focuses on the critique of the definition of art by the American art philosopher Arthur Coleman Danto (1924–2013). This definition could be called the “missing link” in the understanding of art for people who do not understand why modern art is art, or openly criticize and abnegate it on the basis of such incomprehension. In Danto’s theory, one can point to three criteria that any object must meet in order to become an artwork – aboutness, embodiment and inclusion in the artworld, in other words, being in a social and historical relationship with all the art that exists to date.However, since any definition should adequately describe every subject to which it applies, the definition of art must be able to explain all expressions of art. Although Danto’s idea has proven its competence in defining visual art, is it as successful in embracing other forms of art, for example, music? The aim of the current study is to find an answer to this question. To achieve this goal, firstly, Arthur Danto’s theory is outlined, and secondly, it is weighed against music. By problematizing the cornerstone of Danto’s theory or the question of indiscernible counterparts, it is ultimately argued that Arthur Danto’s definition of art does not have a capacity to adequately define music, and a solution to this problem is proposed.

Abstract:
Due to the cultural specificity and variation of emotions, it is important to study them in different languages, cultures and contexts. The aim of the study is to summarize the most widespread words of emotions in the Latvian language, to map them in the dimensions of valence and activation, and to link them with the self-assessment indicators of bodily senses such as valence and activation. The results point to sometimes consistent assessments of emotions in senses, dimensions and words in the Latvian language, as well as perspectives in further research with implications for improving various affective computing and sentiment analysis technologies.

Die Bewältigung der den Kommunen im Rahmen der föderalen Zuständigkeitsverteilung zugewiesenen Aufgaben und das Tätigen der damit verbundenen Ausgaben sind ohne eine entsprechende Ausstattung mit Einnahmen, d.h. der Verfügbarkeit über angemessene finanzielle Mittel zur Aufgabenerfüllung, nicht möglich. Diese grundlegende Einsicht spiegelt sich bereits in Art. 28 Abs. 2 Grundgesetz (GG), wonach den Gemeinden und Gemeindeverbänden das Recht gewährleistet sein muss, „alle Angelegenheiten der örtlichen Gemeinschaft im Rahmen der Gesetze in eigener Verantwortung zu regeln“. Und weiter heißt es dort: „Die Gewährleistung der Selbstverwaltung umfasst auch die Grundlagen der finanziellen Eigenverantwortung“. Dieser im Rahmen der Grundgesetzanpassung von 1994 hinzugefügte Satz stellt nicht allein eine verfassungs-rechtliche Grundlage für die Zuweisung eigener Steuerhoheiten an die kommunale Ebene durch den Bundesgesetzgeber dar. Juni 2007 zum einen auf die Verpflichtung des Landes aus Art. 49 Abs. 6 LV hingewiesen, über den kommunalen Finanzausgleich eine „angemessene Finanzausstattung“ der Kommunen zur Erfüllung pflichtiger wie freiwilliger Selbstverwaltungsaufgaben zu gewährleisten. Zugleich wird vom Verfassungsgerichtshof zum anderen aber auch darauf verwiesen, dass als wesentliche Grundlage für einen funktionsfähigen Finanzausgleich „die Kommunen ihre eigenen Einnahmequellen angemessen auszuschöpfen und Einsparpotentiale bei der Aufgabenwahrnehmung zu verwirklichen“ haben. Als unmittelbare Folge aus dieser vom Verfassungsgerichtshof formulierten Anforderung an die kommunale Einnahmenpolitik kann das Land „im Gegenzug für seinen Beitrag zur Bewältigung der kommunalen Finanzkrise verlangen, dass auch die Kommunen ihre Kräfte größtmöglich anspannen“ (ebenda). Auch wenn die zurückliegend formulierten Anforderungen auf sämtliche Kommunen in Deutschland zutreffen, soll im vorliegenden Beitrag beispielhaft die aktuelle Klage eines Teils der Kommunen des Landes Rheinland-Pfalz, der zufolge die Regelungen des Landesfinanzausgleichsgesetzes für das Jahr 2014 als nicht ausreichend gelten, um die Vorgaben aus dem Urteil des Verfassungsgerichtshofs vom 14. Februar 2012 zu erfüllen, zum Anlass für eine entsprechende Überprüfung der Einnahmenpolitik der Städte und Gemeinden des Landes genommen werden. Hierbei wird sich auf eine Analyse der bestehenden Finanzierungsspielräume im Bereich der sogenannten Realsteuern (Gewerbesteuer, Grundsteuer B, Grundsteuer A) als jenen kommunalen Einnahmequellen konzentriert, die bekanntermaßen mit Abstand zu den bedeutendsten Einnahmequellen von Städten und Gemeinden zählen, die von diesen eigenverantwortlich gestaltet werden können. Ziel der nachfolgenden Untersuchung ist folglich die Fragestellung, ob die rheinland-pfälzischen Kommunen die ihnen im Rahmen der Realsteuerpolitik zur Verfügung stehenden Möglichkeiten zur Finanzierung ihrer Haushalte in angemessenem Umfang in den zurückliegenden Jahren ausgeschöpft haben. Als Betrachtungszeitraum für die empirische Analyse werden dabei die Jahre 2007 bis 2013 zugrunde gelegt, wobei immer dann, wenn Daten der amtlichen Statistik auch für 2014 bereits verfügbar sind, diese in die Betrachtung mit einbezogen werden.
