Objetivou-se com esse trabalho avaliar a infestação de plantas daninhas após cinco anos de cultivo com milho solteiro ou consorciado com Brachiaria ruziziensis no outono-inverno. Os tratamentos foram estabelecidos em áreas com diferentes períodos de consórcio (milho+braquiária) e cultivos do milho solteiro entre 2011 a 2015, sendo milho solteiro de 2011 a 2015, consórcio em 2011 + milho solteiro de 2012 a 2015, consórcio em 2011 e 2012 + milho solteiro de 2013 a 2015, consórcio de 2011 a 2013 + milho solteiro em 2014 e 2015, consórcio de 2011 a 2014 + milho solteiro em 2015, consórcio de 2011 a 2015, milho solteiro em 2011 + consórcio de 2012 a 2015, milho solteiro em 2011 e 2012 + consórcio de 2013 a 2015, milho solteiro de 2011 a 2013 + consórcio em 2014 e 2015, milho solteiro de 2011 a 2014 + consórcio em 2015. As maiores massas secas de Coniza spp. foram observadas nos tratamentos milho solteiro 2011 a 2015, consórcio 2011 e 2012 + milho solteiro 2013 a 2015 e consórcio 2011 a 2013 + milho solteiro 2014 e 2015 e de Digitaria spp. nos tratamentos milho solteiro 2011 a 2015, consórcio 2011 + milho solteiro 2012 a 2015 e consórcio 2011 e 2012 + milho solteiro 2013 a 2015. No ano de cultivo, o consórcio milho-braquiária aumenta a massa total de resíduos e inibe a presença de plantas daninhas. A reinfestação por Coniza spp. ocorre após um ano sem consórcio e de Digitaria spp. após dois anos sem consórcio, porém em menores quantidades do que na sucessão soja-milho safrinha.

O objetivo deste artigo foi analisar o comportamento da variabilidade têmporo-espacial da pluviosidade na região de Unaí, noroeste do estado de Minas Gerais-Brasil. A metodologia consistiu no uso de dados pluviométricos de 100 estações da Agência Nacional de Águas (ANA) e 22 estações meteorológicas (INMET), correspondendo ao recorte temporal entre os anos de 1995/1996 e 2014/2015, empregados na determinação dos anos-padrão pela técnica do desvio padrão e mapeados pelo método dos polígonos de Thiessen. Os resultados possibilitaram identificar a espacialização dos padrões regionais de pluviosidade, caracterizados temporalmente como: Chuvoso (1996/1997, 2003/2004 e 2006/2007); Chuvoso/Tendente a Chuvoso (2010/2011); Habitual/Tendente a Chuvoso (2005/2006); Habitual (2001/2002, 2002/2003, 2008/2009 e 2009/2010); Seco/Tendente a Seco (1995/1996, 1997/1998, 2000/2001, 2007/2008 e 2013/2014); Seco (2014/2015); Misto (1998/1999, 1999/2000, 2004/2005, 2011/2012 e 2012/2013). A interpretação dos padrões regionais (mapas) e locais (estações pluviométricas no transecto) das chuvas proporcionou relacioná-los com os fatores de teleconexões do clima (ENOS/ODP) e extremos de pluviosidade.

En la última década, los estudios de innovación han incorporado nuevas perspectivas gracias a nuevos conceptos, tales como la innovación inclusiva (Guth, 2005; Heeks, Kintu, & Sjah, 2013; Nijhof, Fisscher, & Looise, 2002; OECD, 2013, 2015), la innovación frugal (Basu, Banerjee, & Sweeny, 2013; Bhatti, 2012; Rao, 2013; Zeschky, Widenmayer, & Gassmann, 2011), la innovación social (Adams & Hess, 2010; Cajaiba-Santana, 2014; Castro-Spila & Unceta, 2015; European Commission, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013), la innovación responsable (Hellström, 2003; Owen & Goldberg, 2010; Stilgoe, Owen, & Macnaghten, 2013; Von Schomberg, 2013) y la innovación abierta (H. Chesbrough, 2003; H. Chesbrough, 2004, 2006; O. Gassmann & Enkel, 2004; Oliver Gassmann, Enkel, & Chesbrough, 2010). Estas conceptualizaciones rompen con el esquema lineal de la innovación y con el ámbito exclusivo de la innovación basada en la investigación y desarrollo en el campo empresarial. Así, emerge con fuerza en los estudios de innovación una apertura hacia una visión distribuida del conocimiento, una pluralidad de agencias innovadoras y una concreta preocupación por la responsabilidad y por la inclusión de los más desfavorecidos.

The basic objective of the existing study was to inspect the triangular association between economic growth, poverty, and income disparity in farming and non-farming communities across agro-climatic zones in Punjab province, Pakistan. The cross-sectional Household Integrated Economic Survey (HIES) data and Poverty Equivalent Growth Rate (PEGR) methodology were applied from 2001–2002 to 2015–2016. Outcomes of the study found that in a short period, 2001–2002 to 2004–2005; 2004–2005 to 2005–2006; 2005–2006 to 2007–2008; 2007–2008 to 2010–2011; 2010–2011 to 2011–2012; 2011–2012 to 2013–2014; and 2013–2014 to 2015–2016, economic growth has presented hybrid (pro-poor and anti-poor) pattern across both communities of all agro-climatic zones of Punjab province in different periods. In the longer period of 2001–2002 to 2015–2016, economic growth has been pro-poor across both communities of all the zones apart from zone III (Cotton-Wheat Punjab); there is an anti-poor pattern of economic growth. Results for the decomposition of change in poverty further indicate that economic growth is a dominant factor in reducing poverty for all investigated zone. Moreover, a positive redistribution component reduces the beneficial impacts of economic growth for the poor more than for non-poor, that ultimately makes economic development patterns anti-poor in zone III. In the present study, we proposed two-fold policy implications. First, improve the living standard of households in each agro-climatic zone by increasing their incomes. Second, develop a precise taxation system that helps to reduce income disparities among upper-pro to lower-income groups.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas empirik soal Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan ujian akhir semester SMA di Kabupaten Klaten dalam empat tahun terakhir. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dokumentasi yang mengutip respon jawaban 1125 peserta didik pada ujian akhir semester tingkat SMA di Kabupaten Klaten pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kelas X pada Tahun Pelajaran 2011/2012 sampai Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015. Analisis kualitas empirik soal ujian akhir semester meliputi: tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda, efektivitas distraktor, validitas dan reliabilitas. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat diketahui bahwa tingkat kesukaran butir soal ujian akhir semester di Kabupaten Klaten pada Tahun Pelajaran 2011/2012 kategori mudah sebanyak 64%, sedang 24 % dan sukar 12%. Pada Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013 78% soal mudah, 12% sedang 10% sukar 10%. Pada tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 12% soal mudah, 14% sedang dan 74% sukar. Pada tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 64% mudah, 16% sedang dan 28% sukar. Daya pembeda soal ujian akhir semester pada tahun pelajaran 2011/2012 yang memenuhi kriteria sebanyak 62%, pada Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013 sebanyak 76%, pada tahun pelajaraan 2013/2014 sebanyak 62%, pada Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015 sebanyak 64%. Distraktor pada soal ujian akhir semester Tahun Pelajaran 2011/2012 dapat berfungsi dengan baik sebanyak 86%, pada Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013 sebanyak 90%, pada Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 sebanyak 76%, pada Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015 sebanyak 90%. MAPPING OF APPING OF THE EMPIRICAL QUALITY OF INDONESIAN LANGUAGE SUBJECT FINAL EXAM FOR SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN KLATEN REGENCYAbstractThis research aims at determining the empirical quality of Indonesian Language subject test questions used for Final Exam for senior high school in Klaten Regency within the last four years. This research uses a descriptive quantitative method. The data for this research were collected by means of documentation. Documentation that cites the responses of the students of the final exam of high school semester in Klaten Regency on the Indonesian Language Subject of class X in the 2011/2012 Year Learning Year until the 2014/2015 Lesson Year which amounts to 1125 students. Empirical quality analysis of the final exam of the semester include: item difficulty, discriminating power, distractor effectiveness, validity and reliability. Based on the results of data analysis can be seen that the level of difficulty item semester final exam in Klaten regency in the academic year 2011/2012 easy categories as much as 64%, while 24% and 12% difficult. In school year 2012/2013 78% easy problem, 12% medium 10% difficult 10%. In the academic year 2013/2014 12% easy questions, 14% medium and 74% difficult. In academic year 2014/2015 64% easy, 16% medium and 28% difficult. The discriminating power of final exam of semester in academic year 2011/2012 that have qualified as much as 62%, Lessons 2012/2013 as much as 76%, 62/2014 years of education as much as 62%, Lesson 2014/2015 as much as 64%. Distractor at the end of semester exam in the academic year 2011/2012 to function properly as much as 86%, in the Academic Year 2012/2013, as much as 90%, in the Academic Year 2013/2014 by 76%, in the Academic Year 2014/2015 by 90%. The results of empirical validity analysis on the final exam of the academic year 2011/2012 obtained 36% valid grain with the value of reliability coefficient of 0.232. On the matter of the final exam of the year 2012/2013 academic year, 56% items are valid with the value of reliability coefficient of 0.428. Reliability coefficient about final exam of semester in academic year 2013/2014 obtained equal to 0,238 with item 40% valid matter. Empirical validity in semester test case final year 2014/2015 amounted to 50% items valid with reliability coefficient value of 0.603

On July 2016, Ana Tostões interviewed João Luís Carrilho da Graça, one of the main Portuguese contemporary architects, in order to discuss the riverside projects that he has been developing for the future of Lisbon. João Luís Carrilho da Graça was born in 1952, Portalegre, and studied architecture at the Lisbon School of Fine Art (1977). He was assistant lecturer at the Lisbon School of Fine Art (1977-1992), full professor at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (2001-2010) and the University of Évora (2005-2013). He coordinated the departments of Architecture in both institutions until 2010, and was responsible for the creation of the PhD in Architecture at the latter institution, which he also directed (2011-2013). He was professor at the University of Navarra (2005, 2007, 2010, 2014) and at the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning of Cornell University, New York (2015). Since 2014, he has been full professor at the School of Architecture, University of Lisbon. He is the principle of the architectural office João Luís Carrilho da Graça Arquitectos with an extensive work built. He was nominated and selected for the Mies van der Rohe European Prize in Architecture (1990, 1992, 1994, 1996, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015) and received several awards, such as the AICA (1992), the Secil (1994), the FAD (1999), the Valmor (1998), the Pessoa (2008), the Order of Merit of the Portuguese Republic (1999), the Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres from the French Republic (2010) and the Medal of the Académie d’Architecture of France (2012). In 2013, he received an Honorary Doctorate degree from the School of Architecture of the University of Lisbon and in 2015 the Royal Institute of British Architects International Fellowship.

Neste ensaio fornecemos os pressupostos teóricos gerais que orientam as discussões sobre a tradução e adaptação da literatura infantil e juvenil, baseada na abordagem hermenêutica e na revisão bibliográfica o que tornou possível aprofundar as especificidades deste objeto de estudo (PASCUA, 2003; SOTOMAYOR, 2005; DIAS, 2011; LIBERATTI, 2013; GARCÍA, 2020; MENDOZA, 2018, 2021). Analisamos as concepções de intertextualidade que subjaze o processo de tradução e adaptação literária, focalizando o rol do tradutor (PAZ, 1971; ALBALADEJO, 2001; COLOMBRES, 2009; MACHADO, 2012; LIBERATTI, 2013; SOUZA, 2015; LUARSABISHVILI, 2018; GARCÍA, 2020). Adotamos uma convergência da ciência literária, lingüística e didática da literatura como ponto de partida para refletir sobre a relevância que o tradutor adquire como leitor no processo de adaptação literária. Concluímos que o reconhecimento da correlação entre a tradução e a adaptação da literatura infantil e juvenil mostra a pertinência do uso de obras adaptadas na sala de aula como meio de estimular o hábito de ler textos literários no público infanto-juvenil.

Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perkembangan Rumah Pengasingan Bung Karno dapat dilihat dari aspek pengunjung wisatawan lokal dan mancanegara dari tahun 2004-2015 serta pengelolaan Rumah Pengasingan Bung Karno. Jumlah kunjungan wisatawan lokal pada tahun 2004-2008 mengalami peningkatan jumlah pengunjung dengan jumlah 5.823-15.439 orang. Sedangkan pada tahun 2009 tidak ada kunjungan. Adapun pasca ditutup pada tahun 2009 kunjungan pada tahun 2010 berjumlah 13.609 orang. Pada tahun 2011 mengalami penurunan dengan jumlah 6.917 orang. Pada tahun 2012-2013 mengalami peningkatan kembali dengan jumlah 22.404-31.131 orang. Pada tahun 2014 mengalami penurunan kembali dengan jumlah 26.839 orang. Sedangkan pada tahun 2015 mengalami peningkatan kembali dengan jumlah kunjungan 28.005 orang. Jumlah kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara. Pada tahun 2004 tidaka ada kunjungan pada tahun 2005-2006 berjumlah 8-9 orang. Pada tahun 2007 mengalami penurunan dengan jumlah 7 orang. Pada tahun 2008 mengalami peningkatan dengan jumlah 15 orang. Pada tahun 2009 tidak ada kunjungan. Pada tahun 2010 mengalami peningkatan berjumlah 25 orang. Pada tahun 2011 tidak ada kunjungan. Pada tahun 2012-2013 berjumlah 15-20 orang. Pada tahun 2014 mengalami penurunan dengan jumlah 10 orang. Pada tahun 2015 mengalami peningkatan dengan jumlah 21 orang. Pengelolaan Rumah pengasingan Bung Karno yang dilakukan oleh Balai Pelestarian Cagar Budaya Jambi dan Dinas Pariwisata Provinsi Bengkulu berupa, melakukan perawatan pada objek, memberikan pelayanan yang terbaik kepada pengunjung, serta dalam mempromosikan objek wisata pihak pengelola melakukan upaya seperti mengadakan kunjungan ke sekolah, membuat website di media sosial dan menggunakan media sosial berupa Instagram.

Droughts occurred over South Africa during the summer seasons of 2014/2015 and 2015/2016. At the same time, the Pacific Ocean was warmer than normal starting in 2014 and leading to the very strong 2015/2016 El Niño. The first objective of this study is to document the ocean and climate conditions that occurred during the summer seasons 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 in southern Africa. NCEP Reanalysis data is used to compute the monthly and seasonal scale composite mean and anomalies of large-scale circulations during the summer seasons of 2014/2015 and 2015/2016. Results obtained from the study suggest that some months of 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 were canonical to the effect of El Niño over southern Africa, but not all of them during the summer seasons were dry. The wetter than normal conditions in northeast South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe during December 2014 are unfamiliar for a canonical summer El Niño event over southern Africa. Anomalous cooler than normal Sea Surface Temperature (SST) occurred over the west coast and south coast during December 2014 and February 2015, while it is usually warmer during El Niño. Additionally, the colder than normal SST at the south coast during February 2016 and Namibian and West Coast during March 2016 does not mimic the canonical El Niño patterns. However, this did not influence the El Niño-like warmer seasonal SST average during 2015/2016. The lower than normal pressure anomalies over the subcontinent during December 2014 and January 2015 were not portraying a canonical El Niño pattern but the other months were. The seasonal larger than normal pressure at 500 hPa over the subcontinent was more typical of El Niño during summer 2015/2016 and acted to suppress rainfall. Secondly, the study uses the Standard Precipitation Index (SPI) at different time scales (3 months duration, 5 months duration and 17 months duration) to assess the severity of 2015/2016 summer drought compared to the other droughts of the 20th and 21st century (1921 to 2016) and to analyse the relationship between droughts and ENSO. The South African Weather Service (SAWS) rainfall data shows that KwaZulu-Natal was the only region within South Africa, to have the 2015/2016 as the strongest summer drought since 1921 but 2015/2016 was still one of the worst droughts on record in South Africa, especially at the 2 consecutive seasonal scales. In general, droughts are favored by El Niño and wetter conditions by La Niña, but the second strongest El Niño of 1997/1998 led to near normal rainfall over the north-eastern region at all time-scales. The SPI has proven to be very versatile, flexible and very effective to monitor the 2015/2016 summer drought in the complex South African rainfall regime. However, there was little difference between 3 months SPI at the end of February and 5 months SPI at the end of March. For South Africa, the summer rainfall 2015/2016 season had the fifth worst drought after El Niño related drought of 1982/1983 and 1991/1992 and the non-El Niño related droughts of 1967/1968 and 1944/1945. Influenza is a respiratory disease caused by RNA viruses include within the Orthomixoviridae family. They have been differentiated into influenza viruses of type A, B, C, and D, but only those of type A and B are responsible of seasonal epidemics.
Clinically, influenza illness occurs with fever, cough, headache and cold, but severe complications can arise that could lead to hospitalization and death, especially in risky subjects such as elderly and children. In fact, it is estimated that, every year, the influenza virus causes epidemics in the human population with a percentage of cases of infection of 5% -20% in adults and 20% -30% in children. Because of their extreme genetic variability and ability to evade the immune response in the host, the World Health Organization (WHO) has developed a system of influenza surveillance with the aim of highlighting the different strains that circulate each year, in order to update the composition of the vaccines on the market every season. Moreover, the main international public health authorities recognize vaccination as the main prevention weapon to limit transmission in the population. The aim of this thesis work is to observe the immune response induced by some vaccines developed against influenza viruses of the 2014/2015 and 2016/2017 season, in two different clinical studies and two different age groups.
The first study was conducted during the 2014/2015 influenza season on two groups of adults, classified by age.
In particular, the first, includes subjects aged between 18 and 60, the second, subjects over the age of 60, for a total of 1980 subjects, analyzed in pre vaccination (visit 1) and and following of administration of a singol dose of a inactivated vaccine (visit 2) for influenza strains:

Es en este marco que el trabajo plantea la implementación de un portafolio de estrategias de integración, crecimiento, y diversificación que buscan incrementar la reputación de Google Inc. a nivel global y mantener la fortaleza de su ventaja competitiva. En el corto plazo en base a una estrategia de marca global apoyada en una expansión de la cobertura de las tiendas retail propias Apple Store; en el mediano plazo planteamos la selección de un proveedor de outsourcing de producción en Brasil que permitirá mejorar la respuesta al mercado de Latinoamérica y EEUU donde se prevé un importante crecimiento en el futuro, además permitirá que la fábrica en China atienda los mercados de Europa y genere mayor crecimiento en Asia, de esta manera se conseguiría reforzar la competitividad de la empresa; además se plantea seguir con la estrategia de innovación en sus productos actuales y nuevos (iTV y iPlay) que reforzaran su crecimiento y lo harán sostenible en el tiempo. Analisa-se o processo político aberto pelos protestos brasileiros no ciclo 2013-2015, identificando a presença de esforços organizativos nas massas populares comprometidos com a construção de uma nova vontade coletiva hegemônica, observando a dialética indivíduo-coletivo. Através da pesquisa bibliográfico-documental em fontes multimídias com abrangência temática e temporal e que o acesso às fontes permitissem o mapeamento dos significados da massificação dos protestos e da guinada conjuntural ocorrida na política brasileira pós-junho/13. A partir das ações reveladas nas ruas, problematizamos as iniciativas, aparentemente individuais, em suas experiências, frustrações e dificuldades concretas imersas na atual crise de legitimidade político-institucional. A obra de Gramsci embasou a análise deste momento de intensas relações políticas na sociedade civil - compreendida como espaço de disputas e antagonismos. O mapeamento abarcou experiências de ocupação nos espaços públicos e o debate interativo na internet. A ação coletiva ajudou-nos a compreender os sujeitos em confronto num processo amplo e demorado de disputas por hegemonia, sempre clivado pelas motivações individuais que, geralmente, são coletivizadas de maneira intensa e desordenada. A partir da capacidade das classes subalternas em resistir ao status quo, persiste a necessidade de uma ?direção consciente? capaz de enfrentar criticamente o ?senso comum?, a ?espontaneidade? e os seus ?movimentos?. Obteve-se o retrato das atuais formas político-reivindicativas e de ativação de repertórios organizativos da ação coletiva popular pelas experiências do MPL e do MTST em seus esforços para (re)constituir a autonomia participativa dos sujeitos políticos na sociedade civil sob outros pilares de afirmação - a partir de lutas concretas pelo ?Direito à Cidade?. Obteve-se como resultados: i. a ação coletiva popular articulou velhos e novos repertórios de organização, mobilização e ações; ii. o uso de vasto espectro de recursos metodológicos (digitais ou não) garantiram registro e fluxo às informações, alinhavando temporariamente os interesses individuais-corporativos; iii. a tendência autonomista remonta as greves trabalhistas desde 2012 pela insatisfação dos trabalhadores com os canais de participação e de representação instituídos e suas práticas burocráticas de contenção/controle dos conflitos; iv. a intervenção política dos manifestantes nas ruas ultrapassa o momento episódico do protesto, resulta de mobilizações e ações pregressas, incluindo no repertório a ação direta de confronto; v. ?movimento espontâneo? refere-se à capacidade dos coletivos em despertar nos sujeitos a vontade de livre adesão cotidiana às atividades reivindicativas formadoras dos protestos; vi. o potencial da mobilização popular para incidir no Estado/governos oscilou entre reivindicações de núcleos voltados para si mesmo e lutas coletivas desejosas de um projeto nacional consistente e duradouro; vii. existem expectativas sociais ainda não observadas pelo poder público, como também disposição da população em reivindicá-las e defendê-las, mas, através de dinâmicas participativas e de formação política fora da institucionalidade representativa tradicional e, até mesmo, pela abstenção; viii. a polarização político-ideológica estimulada pelas elites e pela mídia tradicional contribuiu para que as narrativas e os repertórios populares fossem apropriados por grupos neoconservadores, gerando descontinuidade nas experiências acumuladas; ix. a educação popular é retomada na tentativa de (re)politização dos tensionamentos na sociedade civil em relação a sociedade política.
Abstract : The political process opened by the Brazilian protests in the cycle 2013-2015 was analyzed, identifying the presence of organizational efforts in the popular masses committed to the construction of a new hegemonic collective will, observing the individual-collective dialectic. Through bibliographic-documentary research, we went into multimedia sources whose thematic and temporal coverage and the access to the sources that allowed figure out the meanings of the massification of the protests and the conjunctural yaw that occurred in Brazilian politics after June 2013. From the actions that took place in the streets, we look into apparently individual initiatives in their experiences, frustrations and concrete difficulties immersed in the current crisis of political and institutional legitimacy. This research was based on Gramsci's work, because his analytical approach is strategic to analyze this moment of intense political relations in civil society - understood as a space of disputes and antagonisms. The data collection covered experiences of occupation in public spaces and the interactive debate on the internet. Collective action has helped us to understand confrontational individuals in a broad and time-consuming process of hegemony disputes, always marked by individual motivations that are generally collectively intense and disorderly. From the subaltern classes' ability to resist the status quo, there remains a need for a "conscious direction" capable of critically facing "common sense," "spontaneity," and their "movements." A picture was obtained of the current political-vindictive forms and the activation of organizational repertoires of popular collective action by the experiences of movements like MPL and MTST in their efforts to (re) constitute the participatory autonomy of individuals in civil society under other pillars of affirmation - From concrete struggles for the "Right to the City". The results were obtained as follows: i. The popular collective action has articulated old and new repertoires of organization, mobilization, and actions; ii. The use of a wide spectrum of methodological resources (digital or non-digital) ensured registration and flow of information, temporarily aligning the interests of individuals; iii. The autonomist tendency dates back to labor strikes since 2012 due to the workers' dissatisfaction with the established channels of participation and representation and their bureaucratic practices of containment / control of conflicts; iv. The political intervention of the protesters in the streets goes beyond the episodic moment of protest, resulting from previous mobilizations and actions, including in the repertoire direct action of confrontation; v. "Spontaneous movement" refers to the capacity of collectives to awaken in individuals the desire for free daily adherence to the protest activities that form the protests; vi. The potential of popular mobilization to focus on the state / governments has swung between demands of self-centered nuclei and collective struggles desirous of a consistent and enduring national project; vii. There are social expectations not yet observed by the public power, as well as the willingness of the population to claim and defend them, but through participatory dynamics and political formation outside traditional representative institutions and even by abstention; viii. The political-ideological polarization stimulated by the elites and the traditional media contributed to the popular narratives and repertoires being appropriated by neoconservative groups, generating discontinuity in accumulated experiences; ix. Popular education reappears in an attempt to (re) politicize tensions in civil society in relation to political society.

Tiivistelmä. Välittömien rinnankorjausten määrät ovat kasvaneet maailmanlaajuisesti. Samaten myös onkoplastisten sekä symmetrisoivien toimenpiteiden määrät ovat olleet selkeässä kasvussa. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää OYS:ssa tehtyjä primäärirekonstruktioiden eli välittömien rinnan korjaustoimenpiteiden määrää onkoplastisella tekniikalla. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää miten OYS:ssa kyseisiä toimenpiteitä tehtiin vuosina 2015–17. Ensisijaisena tavoitteena oli tarkastella laaduntarkkailumielessä OYS:n plastiikkakirurgian klinikalla hoidettujen rintasyöpäpotilaiden hoitoa. Lisäksi myös kiinnitettiin huomiota hoitoonpääsyn kestoon ja tähän vaikuttavia tekijöitä. Tällä tavoin voidaan tällä tutkimuksella myöskin kehittää plastiikkakirurgian klinikan toimintatapoja rintasyöpäpotilaiden hoidossa.
Tutkimukseen otettiin mukaan vain naispotilaat, joille tehtiin välittömät rekonstruktiot onkoplastisella tekniikalla yhdistettynä symmetrisoiviin toimenpiteisiin. Potilaat voitiin jakaa rintasyöpäpotilaisiin sekä rintasyövän riskipotilaisiin. Kyseiset potilastiedot haettiin Esko-potilastietojärjestelmän kautta. Otannaksi saatiin yhteensä 30 potilasta poiminta-ajon toistamisesta huolimatta. Näistä 17 oli rintasyöpäpotilaita ja loput riskipotilaita, joille tehtiin ennaltaehkäiseviä rinnanpoistoja. Rintasyöpäpotilaille hoitoonpääsyn kesto oli 7 viikkoa. Tarkasteltavina korjausmenetelminä olivat silikoni rintaproteesit, kielekkeet sekä rinnan reduktioplastiatekniikat. Yleisimmin käytetyt korjausmenetelmät olivat omakudoskielekkeet, joista LD (latissimus dorsi)- lihaskieleke oli ylivoimaisesti suosituin vaihtoehto.

Zur Umsetzung der EU-WRRL in der Landwirtschaft wurden in Sachsen seit 2009 in Gebieten mit erhöhtem Handlungsbedarf Arbeitskreise mit landwirtschaftlichen Unternehmen eingerichtet. Ziel ist es, den guten ökologischen und chemischen Zustand der Gewässer und des Grundwassers zu erreichen. In den sogenannten prioritären Gebieten wurden Praxisdemonstrationen zu Verfahren zur Reduzierung diffuser Stoffeinträge angelegt, untersucht und ausgewertet.
Der Bericht fasst die Ergebnisse zusammen und enthält Handlungsanleitungen für Landwirte z. B. zum Einsatz von organischen Düngern mit und ohne Nitrifikationshemmstoffen, zur Streifenbearbeitung sowie zum Anbau von Zwischenfrüchten und Untersaaten.

AbstractProfound developments in terms of scale, diversity of digital media and prosumerism (García-Galera & Valdivia, 2014; Madianou, 2011) in the last decade have resulted in vast monitoring of movement, migratory or otherwise. While migrants have been outlined as digital natives, early adopters and heavy users of digital technologies (Ponzanesi & Leurs, 2014); the intersection of ICT (Information and Communications Technology) and migration is still under-researched (Oiarzabal & Reips 2012), Madianou’s (2011) work being a notable exception. As Leurs and Prabhakar highlight (2018, p. 247), the implications of the rise of ubiquitous and pervasive technologies (software and hardware) for the migration experience can be grouped in two sets of media practices. On the one hand, these technologies are used to reproduce and (forcefully) enforce top-down control by (state) authorities. On the other, they enable migrants - both voluntary and forced - to connect (dis)affectively, manage kinship and other relationships (Cabalquinto, 2018; Madianou, 2012; Prieto-Blanco, 2016), participate in collective processes (Siapera & Veikou, 2013; Martínez Martínez, 2017; Özdemir, Mutluer & Özyürek, 2019), establish a sense of belonging (Yue, Li, Jin, & Feldman, 2013; Budarick, 2015; Gencel-Bek & Prieto-Blanco, 2020), and move money across borders (Aker, 2018; Batista & Narciso, 2013). “[T]he transformed epistolary base and the communication infrastructure of the migrant experience” (Hedge 2016, p. 3), with their distinct affordances, impact on how migration is currently understood via a focus on connectivity and presence. AbstractWe performed consecutive field trials of rice cultivation for 10 years (2012–2021) to elucidate how to reduce radiocesium absorption by rice and to resume safe rice cultivation in a partially decontaminated paddy soil in the Iitate Village in Fukushima prefecture, Japan. Our previous report (Ii and Tanoi (2016) Consecutive field trials of rice cultivation in partially decontaminated paddy fields to reduce radiocesium absorption in the Iitate village in Fukushima prefecture. In: Nakanishi TM, Tanoi K (eds) Agricultural implications of the Fukushima nuclear accident. Springer, Tokyo, pp 55–76) of the results in 2012 and 2013 showed that K fertilization can reduce the radiocesium level of the brown rice less than the standard for food (100 Bq/kg). This report of the subsequent years (2014–2021) shows more than 80% reduction of 137Cs concentration in the brown rice and straw at KCl fertilized and straw plowed-in paddy soil. The transfer factor of 137Cs from soil to brown rice reduced from 0.0022 in 2015 to 0.0003 in 2019 and that to straw reduced from 0.0262 in 2015 to 0.0028 in 2019, respectively. Exchangeable positive ions of the soil were also analyzed. Multiple regression analyses of all data of transfer factor in 2015–2019 to year (ageing) and exchangeable K ion as variables show that the main causal factor is year (ageing) with some supportive effect of increase of exchangeable K ion. This implicates that radiocesium in soil was gradually transformed to a form more difficult to be absorbed by rice, that is, 137Cs immobilization or fixation on clay minerals by ageing, not only in early years after the accident (2011–2015), but also in later years (2015–2019). This implication was supported by comparative analysis of exchangeable 137Cs of dry soil of 2017, 2018, and 2019 (Ii et al., Radioisotopes 70:63–72, 2021). The results in 2020 and 2021 show those transfer factors have reached at bottom levels. Further this field work also shows the robustness of the rice cultivation that we could harvest rice far below the safety standard, even though the paddy field suffered floods by typhoons in September 2015 and in October 2019.

AbstractThe Philippines remains one of the top suppliers of seafarers to the global merchant fleet. In the 2015 BIMCO Manpower Report on seafarer supply countries, the Philippines ranked first for ratings and second for officers with 363,832 Filipino seafarers deployed to ocean-going merchant vessels in 2014 and accounting for 28% of the global supply of seafarers (MARINA 2015). Seafarers are crucial in keeping the Philippine economy afloat and in 2018, Filipino seafarers sent home USD 6.14 billion (Hellenic Shipping News 2019), accounting for about a fifth of the USD 32.2 billion overseas workers sent home that year (Inquirer 2019). The Philippines has developed as a major player in the crewing sector of the global maritime industry primarily because of its maritime history (Giraldez 2015; Mercene 2007; Schurz 1939), its maritime geography and the continued centrality of the sea to many people’s lives (as attested to by the presence of the myriad fishing communities dotted around the many islands of the country) (Warren 2003, 2007), the economic liberalisation of the 1970s and the concomitant institutionalisation of the labour export policies as enacted by Philippine governments since the presidency of Ferdinand Marcos whose latter policy saw many Filipinos seeking employment overseas (Asis 2017; Kaur 2016; Wozniak 2015).

This contribution examines impoliteness strategies and their translation for dubbing and subtitling in the TV series Sherlock. The theoretical framework is provided on the one hand by impoliteness theory (Culpeper 1996, 2005, 2011; Culpeper, Bousfield & Wichmann 2003; Leech 2014; Locher 2015), on the other by studies in stylistics that highlight the entertaining role impoliteness may play in the construction of characters (Bednarek 2012; Dynel 2016). In this series, impoliteness is the result of the exploitation of various meaning-making resources, all of which contribute to the overall outcome. The analysis shows that in dubbing and subtitling, a challenging case of cultural mediation (Guillot 2016), it may be reconstructed differently, with inevitable repercussions on the viewing experience of the target audience.

AbstractIrregular migration is a multifaceted, dynamic phenomenon that has attracted disproportionate media and political attention since the early 2000s. It has been at the forefront of the political debate in most of the European Union’s Member States since the outbreak of the so-called ‘migration crisis’ of 2015. Indeed, the political attention paid to irregular migration is disproportionate to its volume. Migrants are estimated to represent 3.3% of the world’s population (IOM, 2017, from UNDESA, 2017) with migrants in an irregular situation between 15% and 20% of them. This is approximately 1% of the global population, some 30–40 million individuals worldwide (UN OHCHR, 2014; ILO, 2015). In the USA, the undocumented population was estimated in 2015 to be 11 million (Rosenblum & Ruiz Soto, 2015); while in Europe it was estimated to be 1.9–3.8 million in 2008 (Kovacheva & Vogel, 2009); and between 2.9 and 3.8 million in 2018 (Pew Research Centre, 2019).

Work personalization within cognitive capitalism (Alessandrini 2013) demands universities to certify competences that can promote new forms of employability (Boffo, Federighi, Torlone 2015), connected to global network innovation (Steiner et al. 2013). Personal entrepreneurship becomes the heuristic promoter of career changes (Federighi, Torlone 2013). This enables individuals to ask new questions, to provide innovative solutions, and to create endeavours that can extend the current limits of knowledge, or define new ones (Costa 2014). Methodology: The research analysed variables and, by doing so, strengthened entrepreneurial competence (Morselli, Costa 2015; Costa, Strano 2016) from an enabling perspective, involving more than one hundred people going through a career change (Sen 2000). Based on a mixed method (Ponce, Pagán-Maldonado 2015) the research was developed over four phases: 1) Self-assessment (Pittaway, Edwards 2012) of entrepreneurial attitudes; 2) Recognition (Federighi 2014) of emerging competences from global innovation networks; 3) Reflective thinking (Mortari 2003) and switching in terms of awareness (Mezirow 2003); 4) Capability (Sen 2006) of opportunities and resources for the instigation of entrepreneurial action (Costa Strano 2016). Results: The data observed show that during career changes the development of competences is positively linked to age, education, and experience, above all when combined with enabling processes. As for entrepreneurship, training contexts in the service industry prove strategic, even if still too focused solely on the technical-informative dimension. Furthermore, the results show that entrepreneurial training (Pittaway, Edwards 2012) becomes competence that can promote action starting from resources/opportunities in various career changes (Costa 2014)

Inter-/National existieren bereits Projekte zur Inklusion von Menschen mit Lernschwierigkeiten als Forschende und Studierende (Hauser & Schuppener, 2015; Wagner, 2019); partizipative Forschung wird in Deutschland seit 2011 vermehrt diskutiert (u. a. Buchner et al., 2011; Burtscher, 2019; Keeley et al., 2019). An mehreren Standorten werden zudem Menschen mit Lernschwierigkeiten als Bildungsfachkräfte zu Lehrenden ausgebildet (Mau, 2019). Dennoch sind weiterhin Fragen offen, wie der Personenkreis in einem exkludierenden Hochschulsystem einen chancengerechten Zugang zu Studium, Lehre und Forschung erhält. Hieran anschließend wurde an der Universität zu Köln mit „SUSHI – Summer School inklusiv“ im Herbst 2019 ein einwöchiges Lernformat für Menschen mit Lernschwierigkeiten und Studierende angeboten. Aus der Zusammenarbeit entwickelte sich die inklusive Forschendengruppe Hochschulbildung (InFoH), die gemeinsam Möglichkeiten eines chancengerechten Zugangs zur Hochschulbildung untersucht. Auf der Grundlage der Theorien zum sozialen Raum von Löw (2017) und Bourdieu (1983; 1993) wird dabei diskutiert, welche Auswirkungen diese Prozesse auf alle Beteiligten haben.

This paper explains in a de-westernized sense (Gunaratne, 2010) how internet-mediated communication changes the way we deal with and plan time both individually and culturally in Germany and China. Therefore, it blends Western and Eastern culture and media theories. The paper focuses on two distinct phenomena: temporal change due to social media, and Online journalism, as the core of Internet-mediated communication (for Germany 39% communication, media use 24% Projektgruppe ARD/ZDF-Multimedia, 2016; for China 90.7% instant messaging, 82% Internet news China Internet Network Information Center, 2017), with other temporal change via smart devices touched upon (Ash, 2018). General research on time in post modern societies, recently more focused on media’s temporal change phenomena (e.g. Barker, 2012; Barker, 2018; Castells, 2010; Eriksen, 2001; Hartmann, 2016; Hassan, 2003; Innis, 2004; Neverla, 2010a, 2010b; Nowotny, 1995; Rantanen, 2005; Wajcman, 2010; Wajcman and Dodd) has not yet linked the different societal and cultural levels of temporal change. Thus, we suggest the following to fill this research gap: For a micro perspective the notions of network theories (e.g. Granovetter, 1973; Schönhuth, 2013), media synchronicity (Dennis, Fuller, and Valacich, 2008) and the idea of permanent connectivity (Sonnentag, Reinecke, Mata, and Vorderer, 2018; van Dijck, 2013; Vorderer, Krömer, and Schneider, 2016) are linked. On a meso level, institutional change in Online journalism with a focus on acceleration is modeled (Ananny, 2016; Bødker and Sonnevend, 2017; Dimmick, Feaster, and Hoplamazian, 2011; Krüger, 2014; Neuberger, 2010). On a macro level, mediatization theory (Couldry and Hepp, 2017; Krotz, 2001, 2012) and recent acceleration theory (Rosa, 2005, 2012, 2017) is discussed. The levels are systematically linked suggesting a micro-meso-macro-link (Quandt, 2010) to then ask if and how many of the dimensions of the construct temporal understanding (Faust, 2016) can be changed through Internet-mediated communication. Temporal understanding consists of nine dimensions: General past, general future, instrumental experience (monochronicity), fatalism, interacting experience (polychronicity), pace of life, future as planned expectation and result of proximal goals as well as future as trust based interacting expectation and result of present positive behavior. Temporal understanding integrates the anthropological construct of polychronicity (Bluedorn, Kalliath, Strube, and Martin, 1999; Hall, 1984; Lindquist and Kaufman-Scarborough, 2007), pace of life (Levine, 1998) and temporal horizon (Klapproth, 2011) into a broader framework which goes beyond Western biased constructs through the theory driven incorporation of Confucian notions (Chinese Culture Connection, 1987). Finally, meta trends are laid out.

Introdução: A desnutrição e a obesidade se tornou uma das maiores preocupações da saúde pública no Brasil e observou-se o aumento destas doenças na comunidade indígena: a desnutrição no idoso e o aumento da obesidade entre crianças. Objetivo: evidenciar o quantitativo de atendimentos em posto de atenção à saúde básica aos idosos desnutridos e crianças obesas, na comunidade indígena brasileira. Método: Estudo descritivo com abrangência qualitativa e quantitativa com coleta de dados através do SISVAN (Sistema de Vigilância Alimentar e Nutricional), que tem como objetivo principal monitorar o padrão alimentar e o estado nutricional dos indivíduos atendidos pelo Sistema Único de Saúde. Foi selecionada a faixa etária: idoso (+60) e criança (1 a 5 anos); indígena, gênero: todos, unidade federativa: todas as capitais brasileiras, ano de referência: 2008 a 2020 para o idoso e 2014 a 2020 para a criança. Resultados: Apesar da implementação da Política Nacional de Atenção à Saúde dos Povos Indígenas, que prevê a elaboração de um plano de ação complementar e diferenciado de organização dos serviços, que sejam alinhados à proteção, promoção e recuperação da saúde, a obesidade infantil e a desnutrição do idoso vem aumentando todos os anos, em todo o Brasil. Dados emitidos pelo Sisvan, evidenciou-se que no ano de (2008) foram acompanhados 151 idosos indígenas desnutridos; em (2009) = 423; (2010) = 441; (2011) = 578; (2012) = 563; (2013) = 639; (2014) = 1.077; (2015) = 3.276; (2016) = 3.629; (2017) = 3.735; (2018) = 3.959; (2019) = 4.234 em (2020) = 4.947, uma média de 2.127 idosos indígenas desnutridos atendidos por ano. Quanto às crianças, em (2014) = 2.220; (2015) = 2.120; (2016) = 2.583; (2017) = 2.086; (2018) = 1.531; (2019) = 1.422 e em (2020) = 1.011, uma média de 1.853 crianças obesas atendidas por ano. Conclusão: os dados analisados demonstram o contraste na aldeia: a criança obesa e o idoso desnutrido. Se fazem necessários urgentes estudos a respeito destas doenças na população indígena. Infere-se que a obesidade é provocada por alimentos que fogem à cultura indígena e a desnutrição, geralmente, pela ausência insegurança alimentar.

ABSTRACT This paper investigates the destruction of capital held by FIRE-retirees in the US stock- market as represented by the S&P500 index during the coronavirus market-crash. The performance of a lumpsum of $1,000,000 invested by retirees at the end of each year from 2009 to 2019 were calculated using 4% inflation adjusted withdrawal rates. Findings suggest that at the low point of March 23, 2020 the retirees of the first 4 years (2009 till 2012) using 4% inflation adjusted withdrawals all had their initial $1,000,000 capital plus growth. (Highest positive balance: 2009, $1,485,574, increase of 48.6%. Lowest positive balance: 2012, $1,282,147, increase 28.2%). All retirees from the end of 2013 had their initial $1,000,000 investment decreased to below initial capital (Lowest negative balance: 2019, $692,500, decrease 30.75%). Despite 4% inflation adjusted withdrawals, the longer the retirement period the more likely to experience net capital growth. The investigation also revealed the effect of 0% or negative returns during the beginning years of an investment. Some $1,000,000 investments made in earlier years (2010, 2014 and 2017) ending in lower balances than investments made in the next year (2011, 2015 and 2018). Background: Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disease marked by extrapyramidal symptoms that promote unproductiveness and dependence. Objectives: The study aimed to assess the variation in the mortality rate from Parkinson’s Disease in Brazil between the years 2009 and 2019. Design and setting: Descriptive and retrospective study in Brazil. Methods: Data were collected through the SIM in DATASUS database. The population consisted of all patients who died from Parkinson’s Disease in the proposed period, selected according to the CID G20. The data were stratified by incidence of deaths per 100.000 inhabitants, gender and age group. For statistical analysis, SPP software version 21.0 was used. Results: Between 2009 and 2019, there were 36.621 deaths due to Parkinson’s Disease. The incidence of death per 100,000 inhabitants was 1.26 in 2009; 1.36 in 2010; 1.44 in 2011; 1.53 in 2012; 1.51 in 2013; 1.65 in 2014; 1.64 in 2015; 1.75 in 2016; 1.81 in 2017; 2.01 in 2019; and 2.18 in 2019. Considering all deaths, there is a predominance of males (54.7%) over females (45.3%). Besides, in relation to the age group, the groups with the highest number of deaths were those between 70 and 79 years old (30.9%) and with more than 80 (57.7%). Conclusions: There is an increase in the Parkinson’s mortality rate between 2009 to 2019. Furthermore, the data are in agreement with the existing epidemiological literature, given the fact that the highest prevalence of deaths from Parkinson’s occurs in men over 70 years. ABSTRACT Hydraulic fracturing is a stimulation technique widely used in oil and gas production. Forecasting the induced fracture geometry can improve the efficiency of the stimulation process. Traditional numerical models consider fracture propagation in homogeneous formations. However, in carbonate reservoirs, the high variation of the rock formation properties due to anisotropy and heterogeneity can affect hydraulic fracture propagation. This work presents a numerical methodology to simulate 3D fluid-driven fracture propagation in a carbonate reservoir. The heterogeneity is introduced as a multi-layered formation. The model incorporates fractures using interface elements with the pore-cohesive zone model (PCZM). A mesh transition technique is adopted using the tie constraint technique to reduce the computational cost and maintain the solution's accuracy. The model is verified against analytical solutions. Moreover, the work investigates the influence of the mesh transition on the numerical results and the computing time. The numerical results show that many slave elements per master element can reduce the accuracy and computational efficiency. Finally, we study the main parameters that affect fracture propagation in a large-scale heterogeneous formation. INTRODUCTION Hydraulic fracturing is one of the most commonly used stimulation techniques to enhance reservoir permeability in oil and gas production. The correct prediction of the hydraulic fracture geometry results in the stimulation process's efficiency (Barbier, 2002; O’Sullivan et al., 2001). Several approaches have been developed to model the hydraulic fracturing process, such as analytical solutions (Adachi & Detournay, 2002, 2008; Bunger et al., 2005; Detournay, 2016; Dontsov, 2016, 2017; Garagash et al., 2011; Savitski & Detournay, 2002), pseudo-3D models (Nasirisavadkouhi, 2015), and numerical solutions. The analytical solutions assume a linear elastic behavior for the rock formation and disregard the energy dissipation or plastic deformation at the fracture tip. Numerical solutions are more suitable for modeling hydraulic fracturing, especially considering nonlinear material effects, rock formation heterogeneity, complex boundary conditions, and hydromechanical coupling terms. In the last decades, several numerical formulations have developed to simulate hydraulic fracturing: finite elements (Rueda Cordero et al., 2019), displacement discontinuity method (J. Xie et al., 2018; L. Xie et al., 2016), discrete element method (Fatahi et al., 2017; Zhou et al., 2017), and mesh-free discretization (Keshavarzi & Jahanbakhshi, 2013; Khoei et al., 2016; Taleghani, 2010; Wang et al., 2018).

Introdução: A escravidão foi abolida no Brasil em 1888, historicamente o ordenamento brasileiro adotou inúmeras normativas que visam corrigir a discriminação e o racismo estrutural. O sistema de cotas tem a intenção de nivelar oportunidades para pessoas que por anos sofrem exclusão social. Objetivo: O presente trabalho tem como objetivo principal apresentar a disposição e candidatura de cotas raciais prevista na Lei 12.711/2012 no Instituto Federal do Tocantins (IFTO), campus Dianópolis/TO. Material e métodos: Para a realização dessa pesquisa utilizou-se da pesquisa bibliográfica e documental. Para a quantitativa houve levantamento de dados do número de estudantes matriculados nos cinco primeiros anos em decorrência da Lei 12.711/2012 nos cursos técnicos integrados ao ensino médio do IFTO, que se apresentam em gráficos. Os dados qualitativos extraídos e analisados empiricamente, foram colhidos a partir de documentos sobre a Política de Cotas, da sistematização dos dados da Coordenação de Registros Escolares do IFTO. Resultados: A pesquisa foi realizada no ano de 2021 e identificou a oferta de vagas por cotas nos cursos de Técnico em Informática (15 vagas) e Técnico em Agropecuária (15 vagas) nos anos de 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 e 2018 que a procura por vagas das cotas: 2014 (29,41%) maioria do sexo Masculino (73,25%) apenas 67,64% concluiu o Ensino Médio; 2015 (29,41%), maioria homens (61,67%) e desses (43,22%) concluíram; 2016, 2017 e 2018 (0%) ingressou por cota, pois os candidatos não alcançaram a média para passar no vestibular. Conclusão: Ao analisar os editais percebeu-se que nos anos 2014 e 2015 o ingresso por cota não foi utilizado em sua totalidade, nos anos de 2016, 2017 e 2018 apesar da oferta de vagas prevista na Lei 12.711/2012 não houve alunos aprovados por motivo de não serem alcançadas as notas de corte para ingresso. Dessa forma podese observar que apesar da Lei tentar garantir a diminuição à desigualdade social no IFTO campus Dianópolis/TO, não consegue alcançar ou solucionar a deficiência do ensino. Apesar da oferta os alunos não conseguiram alcançar a pontuação necessária para sua aprovação no vestibular por cotas. Infere a necessidade de estudo complementar sobre o tema de desnivelamento social/educacional em Dianópolis/TO.

Bacterial endophthalmitis is a rare inflammation (TANAKA, 2019) that causes destruction and necrosis (TANAKA et al., 2011) of the structural components of the eyeball, through the penetration of infectious agents (JAIN et al., 2009; TIECCO et al., 2022) for the posterior segment of the eye, especially after intraocular surgeries (CARVALHO et al., 2021), traumas and systemic diseases (DURAND, 2017; TRAD et al., 2018; PUJARI et al., 2022), leading to vision loss (COELHO et al., 2015) and in more severe cases, enucleation (JACKSON, T. L. et al., 2014; JACKSON, TIMOTHY L. et al., 2014).

Abstract Parent/child interactions pose a critical challenge for oil and gas shale producers (Roussel et al., 2013; Yaich et al., 2014; Rimedio et al., 2015; Miller et al., 2016; King et al., 2017; Dhuldhoya and Dusterhoft, 2017; Cipolla et al., 2018; Whitfield et al., 2018; Rainbolt and Esco, 2018; Lindsay et al., 2018; Gale et al., 2018; Scherz et al., 2019; Guo et al., 2019; Jin and Zoback, 2019; Kumar et al., 2020; Zheng et al., 2020; Gupta et al., 2020). The industry has progressed significantly in its understanding of causes and mitigation. However, important uncertainties remain. Fracture driven interactions or more commonly, "frac hits", exhibit varied behaviors in different basins. In the majority of basins, parent wells exhibit production loses after a frac hit. We examine and contrast a case study in the Bakken where production uplift occurs to observations of production loss in a STACK case study in Oklahoma. We show the productivity enhancement in the Bakken case study is driven by proppant transport and fracture conductivity amplification, with no apparent skin or conductivity damage. This suggests that absent specific damage mechanisms, frac hits alone can improve productivity via repressurization and increased propped area. In the STACK case study, fracture conductivity damage reactions must be introduced in order to match the historical data. This suggests that in the STACK, and perhaps other basins, additional processes are occurring in the subsurface to hinder the productivity of wells after frac hits. We postulate that minerology, petrophysics, and reservoir condition differences between basins causes differences in impacts of the fracture driven interactions.

Review question / Objective: Nurses could have inconsistent practice during the Nursing Bedside Handover (NBH) implementation (Clari et al., 2021; Malfait et al., 2019; Whitty et al., 2017). During almost two decades, this inconsistency in nurses' practices has been explained by the strategy of implementation followed at the wards and the resistance behaviors of nurses (Burston et al., 2015; Evans et al., 2012; Kassean & Jagoo, 2005; Malfait et al., 2020; Sand-Jecklin & Sherman, 2013, 2014). Recently, this explanation has come to consider the possibility of nurses' practices be a practice individualized, flexible, and adaptive (McCloskey et al., 2019; Schirm et al., 2018; Tobiano et al., 2018). Based on these supplementary explanations, we formulated the following review question: - What are the factors perceived by nurses that influence inconsistency of practice during NBH? The purpose of this synthesis of the qualitative evidence is to review and synthesize nurses’ perceptions and experiences about the factors that, in their perspective, influence the practice of NBH.

The Extended Country Program Evaluation (XCPE) for Costa Rica will analyze two successive Bank strategies and the IDB Group program with the country, covering the 2015-2022 period. This will be the sixth OVE evaluation of the IDB Group's program with Costa Rica. Previous country program evaluations (CPEs) covered the periods 1990-2001 (document RE-277), 2002-2006 (document RE-325), 2006-2010 (document RE-377), 2011-2014 (document RE-472-1), and 2015-2018 (document RE-535-4). In this sixth evaluation, the first extended one, OVE will cover the 2015-2022 period (corresponding to the country strategies for 2015-2018 and 2019-2022), providing an independent evaluation of the relevance, effectiveness, and sustainability of the IDB Group program and strategies in Costa Rica. The analysis will encompass the financial and nonfinancial products made available to the country (details provided in Section II(C). The objective is for the findings and recommendations of the evaluation to be used as inputs in preparing the new IDB Group strategy with Costa Rica for the 2023-2026 period.

Global military expenditure is estimated to have been $1917 billion in 2019, the highest level since 1988. The total was 3.6 per cent higher in real terms than in 2018 and 7.2 per cent higher than in 2010. World military spending rose in each of the five years from 2015, having decreased steadily from 2011 until 2014 following the global financial and economic crisis. This Fact Sheet highlights the regional and national military expenditure data for 2019 and trends over the decade 2010–19. The data is from the updated SIPRI Military Expenditure Database, which provides military expenditure data by country for the years 1949–2019.

World military expenditure is estimated to have been $1686 billion in 2016, equivalent to 2.2 per cent of the global gross domestic product (GDP) or $227 per person. The 2016 estimate is a marginal increase of about 0.4 per cent in real terms on 2015. After 13 consecutive years of increases (from 1998 to 2011), world military spending has continued to plateau—with only minor decreases between 2011 and 2014 (an average of 0.7 per cent per annum) and slight increases in 2015 and 2016. From 24 April 2017 the SIPRI Military Expenditure Database includes newly released information on military expenditure in 2016. This Fact Sheet describes the global, regional and national trends in military expenditure that are revealed by the new data.
