Full textIt's a general research on the police such as it appears through the novels of the xix century and the first years of the xx century. From passages dedicated to the police both the points of view, institutional and human, through the novels of different authors of the considered period of time and in th light of history, we shall be led to ask us in what measures the novels of the xix century are liable to constitute a kind of subsidiary history of the police. But still more important is the image of the police and of the policemen that the novelists have wanted to show : how has it passed from fouche's machiavellian police to the good natured one. What does it mean ? that's all the problem of the police which has come along with the evolution of a fabulous style, at the time of the passage from the popular novel to the detective one

Full textHow to treat subjects with equal rights, rightful citizen, but alienated within themselves ? this interrogation, which refers to that of otherness and to the problematic in which the madman is mas and yet my equal, leads to the questions: does this madness which i do not share show me who i am ? in what manner might i be mad ? in what manner am i mad in spite of my apparent sanity ? all these questions are addressed through the idea that the relationship between citizenship and madness constitues a system which possesses a degree of complexity greater than its constituent parts and that this whole can be studied through explicit and implicit relationships which unite citizenship and madness. The initial aim is, through the analysis of contemporary discourse regarding the social category which physical and mental handicap represents, to demonstrate how social representation which crosses social strata (comprised of selected social assistance professions, of corporate human resource managers, of handicapped workers) create inclusive groups through the relegation of madness to the statue of societal weakness. Also examined is the mode of expression, in social reintegration through training, of processes which are designed to maintain discrimination social and professional classes. Next, starting from updated social representations, it is demonstrated through the examination of texts, first through the basis of french constitutional and legislative works

Full textThere are two parts in this study. The first one is about Greek surrealism. It recalls first the poetic crisis of the 1920s, then the formation of the 1930s generation that gave birth to modern Greek poetry, and introduced surrealism in Greece. It afterwards presents the surrealist poets of the interwar generation : Andreas Embiricos, Nicolas Calas, Nikos Engonopoulos. The second part is about the poet Odysseas Elytis who occupies a special place among the Greek surrealists. It follows the beginning of his poetry and the growth of his surrealist period as seen in the background of the interwar period

Full textThe american poet h. D. (hilda doolittle) was born in 1886 in bethlehem, pennsylvania (u. S. A. ) in a moravian community. She died in switzerland in 1961 after spending almost all her life in europe where she had come to meet pound in 1911. They founded an avant-garde movement called imagism. She married a fellow poet richard aldington, they were separated in 1919 and divorced in 1937. She had a daughter in march 1919, and suffered the deaths of brother and father the same year. H. D. Visited greece in 1920, egypt in 1923 with her lifelong friend bryher. H. D. Started writing short lyrical poems in 1912, which were labelled "crystal clear", a criticism which followed her all her life. She underwent a crisis in inspiration in the thirties and consulted freud in vienna twice. Psychoanalysis was the source of two memoirs, one written on a day-to-day basis, the other ten years later. The comparison between the two memoirs enables the reader to understand the change in style in her later work. She spent the war years in london and the scene inspired her in her work, she published trilogy, a three-part poem both mystical and occult, after the war she wrote several unpublished memoirs, published her epic poem helen in egypt, then in 1974, posthumously, hermetic definition which comprises a tribute to st jphn perse and to pound and shows her maturity

Full textA textual analysis (thematic and stylistic) of a corpus of 19th and 20 th century autobiographical dream narrations reveals certain constitutive traits specific to such narrations. According to the influences of the time (romanticism or surrealism), the author's tendencies (analyzed through the imagination and style of Flaubert and Char), the constraints of genre (on poetic narrations by Verlaine, Eluard and Leiris), a typical structure remains perceptible. Comparison with narrations of other experiences (madness in Nerval, drugs in Michaux) and with various forms of imitation or exploitation of the dream narration (ludic in the case of Queneau and Butor, fictional in Huysmans and Proust), further confirms its uniqueness

Full textThermodynamics was born in the 19th century through the work of Carnot based on the assumption of caloric. Later on, based on the work of Joule, Clausius and Thomson proposed the formalization we know today, introducing related principles and concepts such as internal energy or entropy. Their work also gives a mechanical interpretation of thermal transfer or “heat” and addresses the beginnings of statistical physics. But at the dawn of the 20th century, the theories of atomism and energetism compete and thermodynamics is one of the theaters of these confrontations. The early 20th century also coincides with a major education reform which will remain a reference until the 60s, to establish a new structure in order to answer the following question: is the method of teaching still adapted to the formation of the leading strata while science and technology are booming ? Physics will benefit from this reform. Indeed, this work studies the evolution of the teaching of thermodynamics from 1902 to 2010, for high school and higher education. This study focuses on the evolution of the concepts of energy, thermal transfer or “heat”, temperature, entropy and thermodynamical system. An analysis over four major periods, programs, textbooks and official events is proposed. This is to highlight the reason for such reforms, the changes they bring and draw conclusions for the teaching of thermodynamics

Full textIn the of psychiatry, from the beginning of the 19th century, crime has become a subject of scientific study, and numerous theories have tried to explain its individual etiology. A global study of these attempts has revcealed that on the one hand, they did not follow a linear progression, but instead arrived at the same conclusions, in spite of the difference between the arguments presented, ant that on the other hand, the structure of their systems collapsed often brutally, giving the impression of a definitive failure. A more specific reading has permitted the understanding that if, during last century, attemps were made to give anthropological sense to crime from the body of the criminal, and if, more recently, the proof of a particular psychic economy can be seen psychoanalytically therein, crime has appeared each time as first bringing to light the origin of man, and then the absence of interiority. But neither anthropology nor psychoanalysis has been able to save criminology. When a theory tries to make crime into a human phenomenon, it can only create the theater of its own mythical function, believing to find what it imagines to be the human origin in the resulting rupture and the lack of differenciation in its negative aspect. There is no theory on crime which is not a demythified theory

Full textChildren’s songs were a source of reflection between pedagogues, intellectuals, and musicians during a dynamic period of cultural revival and the development of media for entertainment.Introduced very early in the school system, singing practice was a source of various interests as much as an enforcement of a collective spirit or knowledge memorization. On the other hand, patriotic demonstrations during public ceremonies allowed the enforcement of national identity through singing. The Japanese musical identity raised several questions for intellectuals of the Taisho era. During that time, they were facing an acceleration of the phenomenal Westernization of Japanese society and wanted to use Japanese nursery rhymes in order to create a new repertoire. Each part of this thesis will describe and analyze nursery rhymes (warabe uta), school songs (shôka) and children songs (dôyô) that form the genre of ‘children songs’ in Japan. Through each item, I will retrace the evolution of those types of vocal pieces and describe the interactions between the repertoire of different musical eras. This will help to reveal the opposition that can be witnessed in the speech of the artistic and literary community at the time and allows a better understanding of the wider society of that period
Lakhoua, Myriem. "De l'écrit à l'oral : démarche pour la redécouverte des savoirs de la pratique modale improvisée du mālūf tunisien à travers l'analyse formulaire de trois corpus d'istihbār." Thesis, Paris Sciences et Lettres (ComUE), 2018. http://www.theses.fr/2018PSLEH107.
Full textThis thesis examines the nature of the gap between the theory and practice of Tunisian mālūf following its transcription in Rašīdiyya at the beginning of the 20th century. It describes the context in which this improvised oral music was transformed into a written music, primed, almost frozen. We rediscover through interviews with musicians belonging to a generation hinged between oral and written and mastering the art of modal improvisation, knowledge related to this practice. This thesis proposes an approach for the implementation of an appropriate method of analysis for istiḫbār (an improvised modal form), inspired by the analytical approach of an informed listener. In a second step, the proposed formula analysis method is applied to a set of teaching istiḫbār of Muḥammad Sʿāda. It leads to a description formula of Tunisian modes and the study of their relationship. Finally, this manuscript deals with an experimental approach, the study of modulation processes and updates improvisation techniques indissociable to the modal practice of mālūf.The experimental protocol elaborated and submitted to the Master Nāṣir Zġunda made it possible to constitute a corpus of istiḫbār allowing the achievement of this objective
Berthier, Bruno. "La commune savoyarde et les enjeux fonciers depuis le XVIIIe siècle." Grenoble 2, 1993. http://www.theses.fr/1993GRE21046.
Full textBased upon perusal of judicial records, this study presents the land status of the "commune savoyarde" from 1778 (reapplication of the "edit de rachat des droits seigneuriaux" in savoy) to 1900. The analysis of the "commune" reports the diversity of juridical status present in savoy where the communal property represents up to 80% of the parcels of land. Although the "commune" can manage a part of its patrimony like privates individuals, the set of goods out of trade (water, roads and paths, churches, woods, etc). Administrated by the community is becoming more and more important. Out of france until 1860, savoy, yet a precursor in land politics, in the 18th century's europe has known, from the late age of enlightment to the end of the 19th century, an extraordinairy juridical systems (sardinian legislation before 1792, imperial and revolutional legislation from 1792 to 1814, re-application of the ancient legislation from 1814 to 1837, remake of the sardinian legislation by the "code albertin" in 1837 and application of the french law from 1860) unprecedent in occident. Therefore it is interesting to analyse the terms of the communal patrimony's being until today, despite the reparated "assault" of all these legislations. This study goes on through the present. The nature of the "commune savoyarde" now presses with all its weight on the montains developpement's politics connected to the winter sports. The work of yesterday "communiers" is not less significant than the work of the modern legislator
