Adult and nymph stages of German cockroaches Blatilla germanica were infested with two entomopathogenic nematodes, Steinernema carpocapsae and Heterorhabditis bacteriophora in vitro at 15, 20, 25o C. Results showed that S. carpocapsae was more virulent than H. bacteriophora at all temperatures over the exposure times of 24, 48 and 72 h. Infection of nymphs by S. carpocapsae at 20o C caused 100% mortality after 72h and 100% mortality of adults at 25 o C after 72h. Reproduction of S. carpocapsae significantly increased at 25o C after 72 h compared to H. bacteriophora.

This study aims to experimentally analyze the performance of a forced wet cooling tower (WCT) using a multi-level inclined perforated splash fill. The hot water temperature adjusts to 60 °C; Packing has inclination angles of 15o, 20o, 25o and a perforation ratio of 2.6%, consisting of five levels of galvanized plate fill. Water flow rate ± 0.0917 kg/s, five variations of air flow rate are 0.02033, 0.02631, 0.02995, 0.03770, and 0.04261 kg/s. The inlet hot water temperature is 60 °C. In this study, the best WCT performance occurred at an inclination angle of 15o.

This article presents a novel empirical study for the estimation of the State of Charge (SOC) of a lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery which uses a Deep Feedforward Neural Network (DFNN) with three hidden layers. We model a series of ten vehicle drive cycles that were applied to the Panasonic 18650PF Li-ion cell. Our results show that the choice of the optimization algorithm affects the model performance. The proposed model was able to achieve an error smaller than 1.0% over a dataset of 25o C in all drive cycles.
