Pseudomonas aureofaciens 30-84, a biological control bacterium for the soil-borne disease take-all of wheat, is a model system for biological control of root-infecting fungal pathogens. Here we use the bolometer approach because the maximum gain frequency of 0.18 micron CMOS is not enough for micron wavelength detector. A thermal sensor is designed in CMOS process to replace the bolometer in other process. THz signal is received by an antenna and the power of THz beam is translated to heat by a matched load. The thermal sensor senses the change of temperature and output a respond voltage level. Therefore, the THz signal is obtained. In this report, the design of antenna in 10.

The LNA achieves the power gain of 19.43 dB at 29 GHz and the minimum noise figure of 6 dB at 29 GHz. The supply voltage and current consumptions are 1.2 V and 21.9 mA, respectively. Based on the micro-mixer, the impedance between LNA output and mixer input of 50 Ω is achieved. The mixer performs frequency translation from the 28-30 GHz band to 10 MHz. Total cadmium, copper and lead contents were determined for water sediment, macrophytes and fish at 28 lotic sites located within the area bounded by 56*19' and 56*42'N, and 93*56' and 94*43'W on the Nelson River system in northern Manitoba. Samples were obtained during 10 collection periods during the May to September 1988. Atomic absorption spectrophotometry and the standard additions method were used.
