Internet use in Ukraine has grown rapidly over the past years. In January 2001, the number of Internet users constituted 4.6% of the Ukraine’s population, in January 2002—5.5%. In 2003, the number of Ukrainian e-users reached 8% of Ukrainian population or 3.8 million people (Press release, 2003). Research shows that about 2% of Ukrainian men and 2% of women have access to the Internet at home. Thirty-seven percent use Internet at work, 22% at home and 21% in Internet access sites (e.g., Internet cafes, libraries, etc.). Thirteen percent of Ukrainians residing in cities with the population of more than 500,000 inhabitants are Internet users, however in other areas of Ukraine its rate is lower—only 1%.

Abstract:
Enzymatic reduction of a ketone can proceed in high enantiomeric excess, but this would require a stoichiometric amount of a reducing agent. Wolfgang Kroutil of the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz devised (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2008, 47, 741) a protocol for preparing the alcohol 2 in high ee starting from the racemic alcohol. The alcohol dehydrogenase chosen was selective for the R-alcohol, and the microorganism reduced the ketone so produced selectively to the S alcohol. James M. Takacs of the University of Nebraska established (J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2008, 130, 3734) that chiral Rh catalyzed addition of pinacolborane to a β,γ-unsaturated N-phenyl amide 3 proceeded with high enantiocontrol. The product organoborane was oxidized to the alcohol 4 . J. R. Falck of the UT Southwestern Medical Center used (J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2008, 130, 46) an organocatalyst to effect addition of phenylboronic acid to the γ-hydroxy enone 5, to give, after hydrolysis, the diol 6. John F. Hartwig of the University of Illinois effectively telescoped (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2008, 47, 1928) alcohol formation and protection into a single step, by developing a procedure for the direct conversion of a primary allylic acetate 7 to the enantiomerically-enriched secondary benzyl ether 8. Tsutomu Katsuki of Kyushu University designed (Chemistry Lett. 2008, 37, 502) a catalyst for the enantioselective hydrocyanation of an aldehyde 9, by HCN transfer from the inexpensive 10. Mei-Xiang Wang of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing and Jieping Zhu of CNRS, Gif-sur-Yvette devised (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2008, 47, 388) a catalyst for a complementary one-carbon homologation, the enantioselective Passerini three-component coupling of an aldehyde 12, an isonitrile 13, and an acid 14. Joseph M. Ready, also of UT Southwestern, developed (J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2008, 130, 7828) the preparation of enol benzoates such as 17 from the corresponding alkynes. Sharpless asymmetric dihydroxylation of 17 proceeded with high ee to give, after reduction, the diol 18. Toshiro Harada of the Kyoto Institute of Technology described (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2008, 47, 1088) a potentially very practical enantioselective homologation, the catalyzed addition of an alkyl titanium, prepared in situ from the corresponding Grignard reagent, to the aldehyde 19, to give 21 in high ee.

Abstract:
Electricity consumption always changes according to need. This pattern deserves serious attention. Where the electric power generation must be balanced with the demand for electric power on the load side. It is necessary to predict and classify loads to maintain reliable power generation stability. This research proposes a method of forecasting electric loads with double seasonal patterns and classifies electric loads as a cluster group. Double seasonal pattern forecasting fits perfectly with fluctuating loads. Meanwhile, the load cluster pattern is intended to classify seasonal trends in a certain period. The first objective of this research is to propose DSARIMA to predict electric load. Furthermore, the results of the load prediction are used as electrical load clustering data through a descriptive analytical approach. The best model DSARIMA forecasting is ([1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 11, 16, 18, 35, 46], 1, [1, 3, 13, 21, 27, 46]) (1, 1, 1)48 (0, 0, 1)336 with a MAPE of 1.56 percent. The cluster pattern consists of four groups with a range of intervals between the minimum and maximum data values divided by the quartile. The presentation of this research data is based on data on the consumption of electricity loads every half hour at the Generating Unit, the National Electricity Company in Gresik City, Indonesia.

Abstract:
Post-absolutist transformations are disruptive, accelerated, radical, and politically controlled modernization projects in Asian and Eastern European societies in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries with reference to successful social models in the context of global hegemonies. After delineating the world-societal context, this chapter deals with the so-called Meiji Ishin, i.e., the social restoration and renewal under Emperor Mutsuhito in Japan (1868–1912), that represents the earliest and in a way paradigmatic case of this historical wave and subtype of imitative societal transformations. Then four further post-absolutist transformation ventures are briefly described and discussed: the Iranian case (1907–41), the Russian Revolution (1905–7), the Turkish transformation (1908–38/46), and the short Chinese upheaval (1911–12). The chapter concludes with a comparative and typological summary discussing key dimensions and factors in shaping post-absolutist transformations and their long-term outcomes.

Abstract:
A total of 65 Przeworsk culture features were discovered in the Żelazna Nowa cemetery. This number included a rectangular groove feature, urned cremations (6), alleged/damaged urned cremations (14), unurned cremations (14), alleged/fully or partly damaged unurned cremations (27), pits containing no bone material (4), undtermined cremations (2), pits containing no archeological material (1). All of the explored burials are cremations. However, a more detailed analysis encounters problems due to the state of preservation of the graves. Features 3, 19A and 19B, 30, 33, 37, 39 have been confidently identified as urned cremations. In many other features fragments of ceramic vessels were found, which may be remains of damaged urns: 18, 21, 23, 25, 31, 35, 44, 46, 47, 48, 49, 56, 57, and 58. Certain unurned cremations are 4, 6, 7, 8, 11–13, 15–17, 22, 24, 32, and 34. The interpretation of the remaining features is uncertain. Among the features uncovered in the cemetery were pits containing no bones: 5, 60, 61, 62, as well as pits containing no archaeological material at all: 55. The majority of unurned cremations contained pyre debris, while no such remains were observed in the following damaged unurned cremations: 15, 40–42, 45, 61, 62. There were a few cases of double burials identified. Three unurned cremations (6, 13, 15) and one urned cremation (39) contained bones of Infans I and an undetermined individual, while feature 19 contained two urns with individual burials: Infans II and an undetermined individual. Urned cremations, and one alleged unurned cremation (56), are distinguished by a higher standard of furnishing and a considerably larger amount of bone remains. This can be given two interpretations: a higher status of those buried there, or different rituals used for urned and unurned cremations. In two graves the urn was covered with an upturned vessel (features 33 and 37). In one case, an apotropaic behaviour characteristic of the Przeworsk culture was recorded, involving driving sharp objects into the pit’s bottom: in grave 41 these were two spearheads.

Abstract:
Recombinant tissue-type plasminogen activator (rt-PA) was given to 34 patients with acute massive pulmonary embolism of less than five days and with an angiographic Miller index greater than 15. The regimen was 50 mg rt-PA over 2 hours followed by repeat angiography, and, if the Miller index was judged still to be above 15, by an additional dose of 50 mg over 5 hours. Heparin was given in a bolus of 5000 IU followed by 1000 IU per hour. The rt-PA preparation (Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH, G 11021) contained mainly two-chain rt-PA. The infusion route was at random in a peripheral vein (IV) or in t

Abstract:
DIC is a clinical syndrome which is initiated by exces sive thrombin generation, fibrin formation and fibrin deposition in organs, thus resulting in multiple organ failure. It is a frequent, often fatal complication in intensive care patients. We evaluated a recently developed ELISA (Behringwerke) for TAT complexes in 50 healthy volunteers and in 43 consecutive intensive care patients referred by the attending physician on the clinical suspicion of DIC. The ELISA is based upon thrombin-antibody coated test tubes and measurement of bound TAT complexes with peroxidase-conjugated AT III antibody.
