The Detroit Lakes chain of lakes consists of five basins in northwest Minnesota adjacent to the town of Detroit Lakes. Flowering rush has been established in these basins since the 1960s. ได้วิเคราะห์คุณค่าทางอาหารของเห็ดที่เพาะเลี้ยงและเห็ดรับประทานได้ที่ขึ้นเองตามธรรมชาติในประเทศไทยทั้งหมด 14 พันธุ์ จากผลการวิเคราะห์ทางเคมีพบว่าเห็ดสดส่วนใหญ่มีโปรตีนประมาณ 2-4% จากการวิเคราะห์โดยวิธี เคลดาห์ล (Kjeldahl) ยกเว้นในเห็ดโคนมีโปรตีนสูงถึง 6.27% ส่วนเห็ดหูหนูพบเพียง 0.77% เห็ดสดมีน้ำอยู่ประมาณ 80-90% ยกเว้นในเห็ดลมมีเพียง 62.9% ในเห็ดแห้งจะมีโปรตีนสูงประมาณ 20-40% เห็ดทุกชนิดมีไขมันน้อยมาก พบมากที่สุดเพียง 0.3% ในเห็ดตะไคล มีกากอาหารประมาณ 0.5-1% มีเถ้าประมาณ 0.5-1% มีคาร์โบฮัยเดตรทประมาณ 4-5% ในเห็ดเกือบทุกชนิด พลังงานมีค่าประมาณ 25-35 แคลอรี วิตามินต่าง ๆ พบมีอยู่บ้างในเห็ดที่นำมา

ทำการทดลองแยกยีสต์จากแหล่งต่างๆ จากตัวอย่างทั้งหมด 183 ตัวอย่าง พบว่ามีสายพันธุ์ยีสต์ที่มีความสามารถในการฆ่าได้ดี 36 สายพันธุ์ กลุ่มของยีสต์ที่จัดแยกตามความกว้างของโซนใส พบว่าสายพันธุ์ที่ให้ความกว้างสูงสุดได้แก่ T1, N2, G2.1 และ 5/19 กลุ่มของยีสต์ที่มีความสามารถในการฆ่ายีสต์ที่ใช้ทดสอบสายพันธุ์อื่นๆ ได้ 9-17 ชนิด ได้แก่ T1, N1, N2, N12, 5/19 และ 5/24 ที่ฆ่าได้ 4-8 ชนิด ได้แก่ G2.1, N3, N5, N6, N11, 5/22, 5/34 และ 5/39 จากการทดสอบคุณสมบัติทางสรีรวิทยาและสัณฐานวิทยาของเชื้อยีสต์สามารถจำแนกออกได้เป็น 5 สกุล คือ Hansenuls sp, Kloeckera sp, Trichosporon sp, Torulopsis sp และ Candida sp ได้นำยีสต์ที
