Abstract Background In patients with IBD quality of life (QoL) is a fundamental long-term therapeutic target1. Given the significant role that school plays in the daily lives of paediatric patients, understanding its impact on their QoL is crucial2. The present study aimed to evaluate patients’ perspectives on their relationship with school, with the goal of identifying areas for practical improvement. Methods An anonymized survey was distributed (02/2020-11/2024) to all paediatric IBD patients and families registered with the Italian patient association AMICI. Data collected included disease

Black rot, caused by Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris (Pam.) Dawson (Xcc), is a serious disease of vegetable crucifers worldwide. The USDA NC-7 and NE-9 regional PI stations maintain vegetable, mustard, and oilseed crucifers, of which 4084 accessions were available for testing, representing 23 genera and 125 species. These accessions were evaluated for resistance to black rot after wound inoculation with race 1 of the pathogen. Accessions that were symptomless for race 1 of Xcc were replanted and inoculated with race 4 of the pathogen to identify accessions with resistance to both races.

This is because the ‘workhorse’ anode material for Li-ion batteries, i.e., graphitic carbon, cannot reversibly host Na-ions in its lattice and hard carbon which is the widely explored anode for Na-ion batteries, possesses serious safety concerns and operational hazards [1-3]. In this scenario, the present work reports bi-phase Na-titanate based anode material, which is safe and environmental/health friendly, and which has the potential to exhibit excellent rate-ca

Abstract ATRA has a key role in the treatment of APL where the presence of the PML-RARα protein is predictive of response. Pre-clinical data and some non-randomised clinical studies suggested that ATRA may enhance the effect of chemotherapy particularly based on its potential to reduce the Bcl2 expression which may thereby improve apoptotic responses to chemotherapy. We have evaluated this possibility in 3 randomised trials in remission induction in patients under 60 years (AML12) n=1097; in relapse (AML-HR) n=362; and as a non-intensive approach in older patients (AML14-non-intensive) n=207.
