Ultra-thin (20 nm) nickel catalyst films were deposited by sputtering on SiO2/Si substrates. At the pretreatments, ammonia (NH3) was conducted for different time in a thermal chemical vapor deposition (CVD) system. Pretreated samples were characterized using atomic force microscopy (AFM). After the pretreatment, acetylene was introduced into the chamber for 10 min, samples were characterized using scanning electron micrograph (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). It was concluded that NH3 pretreatment was very crucial to control the surface morphology of catalytic metals and thus to achieve the v

As the research object, the mobile robot chassis is designed. Firstly, the mobile robot chassis intensity design is processed in accordance with the chassis external load. According to the design results, the structure model is constructed in ANSYS, the strength and stiffness is checked and its structural dynamics characteristic is computed. Then, based on the numerical value analysis, the non-sensitive variable of the bodywork is analyzed and the optimization model of the body structure is established. Abstract The warming phenomenon is one of the most difficult challenges of the times. Agricultural waste decomposition contributes to global warming due to the increase in greenhouse gases. Carbon sequestering is used to reduce greenhouse gases to mitigate the warming phenomenon. Applying biochar is one of the most important tools for sequestering carbon in the soil for hundreds to thousands of years. Paper aims to produce olive stone biochar (OSB) and apply it to soils to study its effect on soil properties and the status of K (Quantity/Intensity of K). Biochar was produced from olive stone w

Background: The disease caused by SARS-CoV-2, COVID-19, has caused a pandemic leading to strained healthcare systems worldwide and an unprecedented public health crisis. Lower respiratory tract infections (LRTIs) and hypoxia caused by COVID-19 has led to an increase in hospitalizations. We sought to define the impact of COVID-19 on antimicrobial use and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in an urban safety-net community hospital. Methods: Retrospective review of antimicrobial use and AMR in a 151-bed urban community hospital. Antimicrobial use was calculated in days of therapy per 1,000 patient da

Abstract. Open biomass burning (OBB) significantly affects regional and global air quality, the climate, and human health. The burning of forests, shrublands, grasslands, peatlands, and croplands influences OBB. A global emissions inventory based on satellite fire detection enables an accurate estimation of OBB emissions. In this study, we developed a global high-resolution (1 km×1 km) daily OBB emission inventory using the Chinese Fengyun-3D satellite's global fire spot monitoring data, satellite-derived biomass data, vegetation-index-derived spatiotemporally variable combustion efficiencies,

Abstract:
This research takes the sensory turn in academia and applies it to carnival studies in order to offer a “third way of learning” about carnival (O’Neal, 2001, p. 18). I argue that not enough emphasis has yet been placed on the sensory dimensions of carnival, and that the senses, and bodily experience, can help us understand the role of difference in carnival. I define difference as the various and sometimes contested ways in which people experience, sense, reproduce, represent, and understand carnival culture. With this in mind I examine the variety of positions adopted by people within the fes

In this thesis, I contend that an increasing cultural and pedagogical interest in the world of the child, and an apparent curiosity for child art in the 1920s in Spain can be used as an interpretive guide to a well-known falling-out that took place in the mid-1920s between three key figures of the Spanish avant-garde: the poet and playwright Federico Garda Lorca, and two of his close friends, the scandalous artist Salvador Dali and the Surrealist filmmaker Luis Bunuel. This thesis focuses on the ways in which identity and ritual converge within the emancipatory performances of the Trinidad Carnival and the Caribbean inspired Carnivals of Notting Hill and Cardiff. The work looks as the ways in which Carnival performances can be interpreted in order to investigate how these interpretations can be practically utilised within art-making or art presentation. The thesis develops an innovative reading of the word mas' (masquerade/mask) offering new perspectives that can serve as a nucleus for ways of engaging with and analysing Carnival.
