Abstract:
An analysis of resistance values has been carried out on a single cable keypad configuration using a voltage divider system. The single cable keypad configuration is used to minimize the use of a microcontroller input output line. Keypads can be arranged using a matrix and without a matrix. For without matrix the number of arduino input output paths used is as many as the number of buttons on the keypad while using the matrix the number of input output lines used is fewer, namely the number of rows and columns that make up the matrix keypad. The 3x4 matrix keypad will require 7 microcontroller input output lines. On a one-wire matrix keypad a voltage divider system is used by adjusting the resistance value of a resistor such that the voltage divider output will give a different value for each keypress keypad. For this reason, it is necessary to analyze what resistance value is needed in the matrix keypad configuration so that it is expected that it can be used for a larger matrix size if later in the making of learning media it requires a very large number of buttons.

Abstract:
Abstract - On this day basic human needs are increasing. One example of this can be seen in terms of food, which until now has always been a major need. Fast food restaurants are in great demand by the public because cooking does not require a long time and so that many benefit from the presence of fast food restaurants. To improve service at fast food restaurants espesially for a waiter to efficient in providing food to customers we need research to be carried out on the design and implementation of robot servant prototypes in fast food restaurants automatically. This paper discusses the design and implementation of a prototype robot introduction of food at fast food restaurants automatically. The design begins with a prototype robot intended food delivery to customers in fast food restaurants. This robot moves with three wheels (2 front wheels are connected to the DC motor and the first freewheel that is behind) that moves through the track or line of trajectory to deliver food to the customer table. In addition, it is made also prototype restaurant accidentally in your own design and size that has been adjusted so as to simulate a fast-food restaurant. Prototype robot consists of several key components including the photodiode, push button switches, 3x4 matrix keypad, microcontroller AVR ATmega), DC motor driver and DC motor. The photodiode, push button switches and a 3x4 matrix keypad input (input) of the robotic system that will be processed by the microcontroller AVR ATmega 16 and will produce output (output) in the form of control of output devices such as motor driver DC. In this test, this robot can waiter function properly. For one time delivering food it takes 42 seconds to 1.13 minute. There was a time difference from the results of the trial due to a technical error from the robot while on the track. Keywords: ATmega16, Proportional Integral Derivative (PID), Photodiode Sensors, Robot Waiter

Abstract:
For patients suffering from pathological conditions, Intravenous infusion serves to be the go-to treatment, it requires for a medical practitioner to set up the IV infusion device up as per the doctors’ instructions, followed by periodic supervision as abnormalities may occur. The objective of this paper is to demonstrate the construction of an automated intravenous infusion control system. Medical and laboratory fluid control has previously been achieved using pressure-based flow sensing, ultrasonic flow measurement, optical flow sensors, capacitive flow sensing, and thermal flow sensing. Due to its reduced susceptibility to external factors, our approach utilizing an IR sensor is particularly advantageous in IV scenarios for accurately detecting fluid drops. An IR sensor, microcontroller, servo motor/peristaltic pump, and an affordable microcontroller are used in this system to allow precise saline circulation rate control. An input control system can be implemented through either a matrix keypad or a single control network server. Controls the drops per minute and allows internet-based server-side control via IR sensor, 3x4 matrix keypad, and Bluetooth module. To accurately measure the saline flow rate and count drops, an IR sensor is integrated into the drip chamber of the saline container. In order to achieve the desired blood flow rate, the microcontroller continuously compares the sensor readings with the commands and adjusts the servo motor/peristaltic pump accordingly. Testing of the completed hardware provided satisfactory results, proving the device's ability to enhance patient care.

Most of the algorithms which are used in DSP, image and video processing, computer graphics, vision and high performance supercomputing applications require multiplication and matrix operation as the kernel operation. In this paper, we propose Efficient FPGA based matrix multiplication using MUX and Vedic multiplier. The 2x2, 3x2 and 3x3 MUX based multipliers are designed. The basic lower order MUX based multipliers are used to design higher order MxN multipliers with a concept of UrdhvaTiryakbyham Vedic approach. The proposed multiplier is used for image processing applications. It is observed that the device utilization and combinational delay are less in the proposed architecture compared to existing architectures.

Abstract:
Paget Disease of Bone is a disorder characterized by abnormal bone remodeling, associated with morphological and functional abnormalities of osteoclasts although its etiology remains unproven. Ion beam analysis (IBA) techniques may be useful to characterize the abnormal distribution and concentration of the major and trace elements that can be associated topagetic bone condition. In order to access the viability of this approach, healthy femoral head of cat has been investigated by Particle Induced X-Ray Emission (PIXE),Rutherford Backscattering Spectrometry (RBS) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).The bone section was irradiated, under vacuum conditions, with a 2.0 MeV alpha particle beam produced by the 2.5 MV Van de Graaff Accelerator of CTN/IST (Lisbon, Portugal). An Oxford Microbeams-type nuclear microprobe was used (OM150 triplet system), which allowed the proton beam to be focused on the bone section with a spatial resolution of 3x4 µm2 and a mean beam current of ~90pA. The X-rays generated by the bone were recorded using an 80 mm2 Link X-ray detector (with a 145 eV energy resolution), that is positioned at 135º to the beam direction. The backscattered particles were collected by a 200 mm2 silicon surface barrier radiation detector with a 15 keV energy resolution that is positioned at 40º to the beam direction in a cornell geometry. SEM observations have been carried out with backscattered electrons (BSE) using a JEOL JSM 7001F microscope equipped with an INCA Oxford Instruments EDS spectrometer for point analyses and X-ray mapping. Standard petrographic procedures have been employed to prepare the samples for SEM observation: the specimens were partly encapsulated in epoxy resin, ground with 800 and 1000-grit SiC paper, polished with 6 μm and 1 μm diamond suspensions and coated with carbon.A selected area of the sample has been scanned with the proton beam, allowing to generateelemental distribution maps for Ca and P (Figure 1). From X-line scans it was possible to extractline profiles of these elements. RBS and PIXE were used to determine the matrix and trace element composition in order to normalize the elemental concentrations. The results are shown in Table 1.Structural information on the Haversian Systems, includingbone lacunaeandosteocytes localization have been obtained by SEM (Figure 2).The combination of these techniques proved to be a viable approach for the Pagetic bone characterization and will be used to analyze the structure of trabecular and cortical bones as well as the distribution and morphology of the pagetic bone cells, which can contribute to clarify the differences between pagetic and healthy bone.V. Abstract:
The determinant is an arrangement of numbers or symbols in the form of a square and presented between two vertical lines. The determinant as a unit that represents a value from the given matrix. The determinant of matrix A is denoted by [A] or det(A). In matrix theory, the calculation of determinants is one of the studies that is often discussed. Calculation of the determinant associated with a small matrix (n ≤ 3) is usually never a problem, only using the definition of the determinant can usually be solved immediately. However, calculating the determinant of a matrix with a large size is difficult to do if you only use the definition of the determinant. Several methods that can be used to calculate the determinant of a matrix are the row reduction method, the Laplace/cofactor expansion method and the Crout method. To determine the determinant of the matrix in this article, the Crout method will be used.

Abstract:
There has been an increase in the use of interventional neuroradiology procedures because of their non-invasiveness compared to surgeries and the improved image quality of fluoroscopy, digital subtraction angiography, and rotational angiography. Although cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images are inferior to multi-detector CT images in terms of low-contrast detectability and lower radiation doses, CBCT scans are frequently performed because of their accessibility. This study aimed to evaluate the image quality and radiation dose of two different high-resolution CBCTs (HR CBCT): conventional (C-HR CBCT) and wide-field HR CBCT (W-HR CBCT). The modulation transfer function (MTF), noise power spectrum (NPS), and contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) were used to evaluate the image quality. On comparing the MTF of C-HR CBCT with a 256 × 256 matrix and that of W-HR CBCT with a 384 × 384 matrix, the MTF of W-HR CBCT with the 384 × 384 matrix was larger. A comparison of the NPS and CNR of C-HR CBCT with a 256 × 256 matrix and W-HR CBCT with a 384 × 384 matrix showed that both values were comparable. The reference air kerma values were equal for C-HR CBCT and W-HR CBCT; however, the value of the kerma area product was 1.44 times higher for W-HR CBCT compared to C-HR CBCT. The W-HR CBCT allowed for improved spatial resolution while maintaining the image noise and low-contrast detectability by changing the number of image matrices from 256 × 256 to 384 × 384. Our study revealed the image characteristics and radiation dose of W-HR CBCT. Given its advantages of low-contrast detectability and wide-area imaging with high spatial resolution, W-HR CBCT may be useful in interventional neuroradiology for acute ischemic stroke.

Abstract:
Novel green concrete (GC) admixtures containing 50% and 100% recycled coarse aggregate (RCA) were manufactured according to the ACI 211.1 standard. The GC samples were reinforced with AISI 1080 carbon steel and AISI 304 stainless steel. Concrete samples were exposed to 3.5 wt.% Na2SO4 and control (DI-water) solutions. Electrochemical testing was assessed by corrosion potential (Ecorr) according to the ASTM C-876-15 standard and a linear polarization resistance (LPR) technique following ASTM G59-14. The compressive strength of the fully substituted GC decreased 51.5% compared to the control sample. Improved corrosion behavior was found for the specimens reinforced with AISI 304 SS; the corrosion current density (icorr) values of the fully substituted GC were found to be 0.01894 µA/cm2 after Day 364, a value associated with negligible corrosion. The 50% RCA specimen shows good corrosion behavior as well as a reduction in environmental impact. Although having lower mechanical properties, a less dense concrete matrix and high permeability, RCA green concrete presents an improved corrosion behavior thus being a promising approach to the higher pollutant conventional aggregates.

Abstract:
Previous studies have suggested that the assembly of fibronectin into the extracellular matrix of cultured fibroblasts is mediated by specific matrix assembly receptors that recognize a binding site in the amino terminus of the fibronectin molecule (McKeown-Longo, P.J., and D.F. Mosher, 1985, J. Cell Biol., 100:364-374). In the presence of dexamethasone, human fibrosarcoma cells (HT-1080) acquired the ability to specifically bind exogenous plasma fibronectin and incorporate it into a detergent-insoluble extracellular matrix. Dexamethasone-induced fibronectin binding to HT-1080 cells was time dependent, dose dependent, and inhibited by cycloheximide. Saturation binding curves indicated that dexamethasone induced the appearance of 7.7 X 10(4) matrix assembly receptors per cell. The induced receptors exhibited a dissociation constant (KD) for soluble fibronectin of 5.0 X 10(-8) M. In parallel experiments, normal fibroblasts exhibited 4.1 X 10(5) receptors (KD = 5.3 X 10(-8) M) per cell. In the presence of cycloheximide, the induced fibronectin-binding activity on HT-1080 cells returned to uninduced levels within 12 h. In contrast, fibronectin-binding activity on normal fibroblasts was stable in the presence of cycloheximide for up to 54 h. The first-order rate constant (Kt = 2.07 X 10(-4) min-1) for the transfer of receptor-bound fibronectin to extracellular matrix was four- to fivefold less than that for normal fibroblasts (Kt = 1.32 X 10(-3) min-1). Lactoperoxidase-catalyzed iodination of HT-1080 monolayers indicated that a 48,000-mol-wt cell surface protein was enhanced with dexamethasone. The results from these experiments suggest that dexamethasone induces functional matrix assembly receptors on the surface of HT-1080 cells; however, the rate of incorporation of fibronectin into the matrix is much slower than that of normal fibroblasts.

Abstract:
One of the most important pathogenetic mechanisms of autoimmune thyroiditis (AIT) is the violation of immunological tolerance and the development of the autoimmune process, the markers of which are various biologically active substances, in particular, matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) of the extracellular matrix (ECM). MMPs play a crucial role in the development of pathological processes in these diseases, contributing to matrix degradation due to imbalance between the activity of enzymes and their inhibitors. The aim of the work was to study the activity of key metalloproteinases and the level of α2-macroglobulin in patients with autoimmune thyroiditis. The diagnosis of AIT was established based on the study of data on anamnesis, thyroid status, the results of ultrasound of TG, and the presence of antibodies to the thyroid-stimulating hormone receptor (TSH) in blood plasma. Patients were enrolled in 2 groups: group 1 – 74 patients with a manifest form of the disease; group 2 – 96 patients with a subclinical form of the disease. The study of matrix metalloprotein activity in the examined patients showed a statistically significant (P = 0.015) increase in MMP-3 and MMP-7 activity in patients with AIT compared to the corresponding parameters in persons of the control group. Thus, levels of MMP-3 and 7 were in the group of patients, respectively 56 (51.0; 59.0) and 4.6 (4.3; 5.2) ng/ml, in control 23.0 (16.0; 26.0) and 3.6 (3.4; 4.1) ng/ml, respectively.

Matrix theory is a branch of linear algebra that discussed in the mathematical sciences. Mathematical sciences play an important role in human life, it is necessary to solve problems that can not be solved directly. Thus, the problem can be transformed into the form of a mathematical model. One is the SPL (Linear Equation System). Various methods can be used to solve it. But for the SPL with a large variable can be solved by matrix methods, namely the inverse matrix. In the inverse matrix of the determinants involved. If the search value that ordo major determinant of the matrix (𝑛×𝑛), it would require an effective method. One is the method of Chio. Chio method can be applied to all square matrixas long as the element is 𝑎11 not equal to zero (𝑎11≠0). Chio method of calculating the determinant of the matrix by decomposing determinant will look into sub-determinant of degree two (2×2) using the matrix element row 1 and column 1 as pointof departure. Abstract:
With the rapid development of nanotechnology, the study of nanocomposites as electrode materials has significantly enhanced the scope of research towards energy storage applications. Exploring electrode materials with superior electrochemical properties is still a challenge for high-performance supercapacitors. In the present research article, we prepared a novel nanocomposite of tungsten trioxide nanoparticles grown over supported graphene oxide sheets and embedded with a poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) matrix to maximize its electrical double layer capacitance. The extensive characterization shows that the poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) matrix was homogeneously dispersed throughout the surface of the tungsten trioxide–graphene oxide. The poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)@tungsten trioxide–graphene oxide exhibits a higher specific capacitance of 478.3 F·g−1 at 10 mV·s−1 as compared to tungsten trioxide–graphene oxide (345.3 F·g−1). The retention capacity of 92.1% up to 5000 cycles at 0.1 A·g−1 shows that this ternary nanocomposite electrode also exhibits good cycling stability. The poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)@tungsten trioxide–graphene oxide energy density and power densities are observed to be 54.2 Wh·kg−1 and 971 W·kg−1. The poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)@tungsten trioxide–graphene oxide has been shown to be a superior anode material in supercapacitors because of the synergistic interaction of the poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) matrix and the tungsten trioxide–graphene oxide surface. These advantages reveal that the poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)@tungsten trioxide–graphene oxide electrode can be a promising electroactive material for supercapacitor applications.

Direct Power conversion from fixed AC voltage into variable AC voltage is gaining a significant attention, especially in case of multi-phases machines/generators; for such reason a new algorithm to control 3x7 matrix converter (MC) is developed in this paper, wherein the main aim is to control multi-phases induction motor/generator connected to the electrical grid with a novel converter (except matrix converter), for that the PWM three intervals modulation strategy is modified from the control of 3x3 MC to 3x7 MC; which is directly connected to the network through a three phase input in order to overcome the supplying problems, on the other side seven phases have been used as an output to benefit the advantages of the multi-phases machines. This paper intends in the first place to explain the 3x3 MC, then to manipulate the control equation for the purpose of making it suitable for controlling the 3x7 MC effectively, thus a good performance can be clearly seen according to the quality of the output voltage/current under typical R-L load, the shift between phases and the THD evaluation. The obtained simulation results which demonstrate the efficiency of the new control algorithm are presented and discussed.

Abstract:
In the present study, metal matrix composite clads of nickel–alumina powder-based material have been produced on austenitic stainless steel (SS-304) substrate using microwave heating at 2.45 GHz frequency. A concept of hybrid heating was used to process metal matrix composite clads at exposure power level of 900 W. The exposure time for developing metal matrix composite clads was varied from 60 to 300 s. The clads of average thickness 0.6 mm were successfully developed at an optimized exposure time of 300 s. The microstructural analysis of microwave processed clads reveals the uniform dispersion of alumina powder particles inside nickel matrix. The developed clads were free from any type of interfacial cracks and were metallurgically bonded with SS-304 substrate. X-ray diffraction study confirmed the presence of alumina powder, FeNi3 and chromium carbide phases, which contributed to the increase in micro-hardness of developed clad. Clad micro-hardness was found to be four times that of austenitic stainless steel, which makes it suitable for anti-wear applications.

Abstract:
Alicyclic polyimides (PIs) have excellent properties in solubility, mechanical strength, thermal property, etc. This study developed two types of alicyclic PI-based mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) for water/n-butanol pervaporation application, which have never been investigated previously. The fillers were hydrophilic SiO2 nanoparticles. The synthesized PI was mixed with SiO2 nanoparticles in DMAc to make the casting solution, and a liquid film was formed over PET substrate using doctor blade. A dense MMM was fabricated at 80 °C and further treated via multi-stage curing (100–170 °C). The prepared membranes were characterized by FTIR, TGA, FE-SEM, water contact angle, and solvent swelling. The trends of pure solvent swelling effects agree well with the water contact angle results. Moreover, the pervaporation efficiencies of alicyclic PI/SiO2 MMMs for 85 wt% n-butanol aqueous solution at 40 °C were investigated. The results showed that BCDA-3,4′-ODA/SiO2 MMMs had a larger permeation flux and higher separation factor than BCDA-1,3,3-APB/SiO2 MMMs. For both types of MMMs, the separation factor increased first and then decreased, with increasing SiO2 loading. Based on the PSI performance, the optimal SiO2 content was 0.5 wt% for BCDA-3,4′-ODA/SiO2 MMMs and 5 wt% for BCDA-1,3,3-APB/SiO2 MMMs. The overall separation efficiency of BCDA-3,4′-ODA-based membranes was 10–30-fold higher.

Abstract:
In order to improve the extensive application of 304 steel in various industrial fields, dimples with different diameter and spacing arrayed on the surface of 304 steel were prepared by laser etching. Then the nitriding treatment was applied on the textured surface and 304 steel matrix surface. The surface microhardness, surface work function, apparent contact angle of the surface before and after nitriding, and surface morphology of the compound modification surface were tested. The tribological properties of five different samples were tested by a rotating friction and wear tester under oil lubrication conditions. The finite element simulation analysis is carried out with a single micro dimple and the upper specimen as the simulation object. The results show that the surface hardness of the compound modification surface is much higher than that of the 304 steel matrix. The surface work function and apparent contact angle of the nitrided surface is larger than that of the 304 steel matrix. These factors lead to the difficulty of abrasive particle stripping, which enhances anti-wear performance of nitrided smooth surface under the lubrication condition. The micro dimple will lead to the change of liquid streamlining, promote the change of liquid pressure in different regions, and result in convergence and divergence regions. But the dynamic pressure of the oil in the micro texture did not play an obvious role in reducing friction at a lower speed. The anti-friction and anti-wear properties of the compound modified surface are better than those of the nitrided smooth surface, which mainly is attributed to lubricant storage in texture and reduction of the real contact area.

The influence of polymer matrix of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) on the specific conductivity, percolation threshold, energy of activation of charge transport in polymer composites PMMA − polyaniline (PAN) was studied. Concentration dependence of the electrical conductivity of composites reveals percolation behavior with the low value of percolation threshold within 2 % content of polyaniline. It is found that in the polymer composites PMMA - PAN the specific conductivity increases by more than 8−9 orders of magnitude compared to the original matrix. On the base of temperature dependence of the specific conductivity of the obtained composites, it is concluded that PMMA polymer matrix does not change the semiconductor nature of PAN conductivity in the composite but effects on the activation parameters of the charge transport. From ESR spectra, it found that the presence of a polymeric matrix causes significant delocalization of the charge along the macrochains of the dielectric polymeric matrix.

Matrix converter is the main alternative for motor drive converters because of its advantages. Although the matrix converter as a motor drive has a high complexity, combined with the Indirect Space Vector Modulation (ISVM) technique can produce precision pulse width modulation (PWM). For the system controller, Fuzzy Supervisory Control (FSC) is applied, which is a combined control, so that the reference speed can be achieved. Abstract:
We develop an extension of the process matrix (PM) framework for correlations between quantum operations with no causal order that allows multiple rounds of information exchange for each party compatibly with the assumption of well-defined causal order of events locally. We characterise the higher-order process describing such correlations, which we name the multi-round process matrix (MPM), and formulate a notion of causal nonseparability for it that extends the one for standard PMs. We show that in the multi-round case there are novel manifestations of causal nonseparability that are not captured by a naive application of the standard PM formalism: we exhibit an instance of an operator that is both a valid PM and a valid MPM, but is causally separable in the first case and can violate causal inequalities in the second case due to the possibility of using a side channel.

Abstract:
In the Republic of Belarus, endometriosis occurs in about a third of women of reproductive age and is one of the main causes of infertility. The pathogenesis of this pathology is still the subject of various discussions, which significantly complicates approaches to treatment. According to one of the assumptions, the molecules that are involved in the development of endometriosis are matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). The purpose of the study is to establish the role of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in the genesis of external genital endometriosis (EGE). Immunohistochemistry in the endometrial glands of women with EGE revealed an increase in the expression of MMP-2 by 13–47% and MMP-9 – by 63–188 times, compared with normal endometrium. In the stroma of the endometrium in patients with EGE, the expression of MMP-2 increased by an average of 30%, and MMP-9 – by 67–114 times. In endometrioid heterotopias of women with EGE, MMP-2 expression increased by 36–42%, and MMP-9 expression increased by 3.4–3.7 times compared with the control. With the progression of EGE, the expression of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in the glandular component of the endometrium significantly increases in accordance with the stage of EGE. Thus, the cleavage of the intercellular matrix and basement membranes of endotheliocytes with the participation of MMP-2 and MMP-9 underlies the implantation of endometrial heterotopias and neoangiogenesis, which are the key links in EGE.

Abstract:
In a previous paper (Hampton, R. D., et al., 1996, “A Practical Solution to the Deterministic Nonhomogeneous LQR Problem,” ASME Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control, Vol. 118, pp. 354–360.) the authors presented a solution to the nonhomogeneous linear-quadratic-regulator (LQR) problem, for the case of known, deterministic, persistent (“non-dwindling”) disturbances. The authors used variational calculus and state-transition-matrix methods to produce an optimal matric solution, for bounded determinist forcing terms. A restricted version of this problem (treating dwindling disturbances) was evidently first investigated by Salukvadze, M. E., 1962, “Analytic Design of Regulators (Constant Disturbance),” Automation and Remote Control, Vol. 22, No. 10, Mar., pp. 1147–1155, using a differential-equations approach. The present paper uses Salukvadze’s approach to extend his work to the case of non-dwindling disturbances, with cross-weightings between state- and control vectors, and pursues the solution to the same form reported previously in Hampton et al.

Abstract:
The paper investigates the problem of analyzing the regularity of multidimensional matrices based on the repetition of significant (non-empty) characters in the matrix cells. Such a repetition means that when the matrix is shifted along one or more of its coordinates, some significant characters are preserved. For each shift repeated r times, the regularity number is entered as the product of rs, where s is the number of significant symbols that persist for all r repetitions of the shift. Two numerical characteristics of matrix regularity are introduced: the regularity sum and the regularity coefficient. The regularity sum is defined as the sum of the regularity numbers for all possible matrix shifts and allows you to compare the regularity of matrices of the same form, i.e. the same dimension and the same size with the same arrangement of non-empty characters. The regularity coefficient allows you to compare the regularity of arbitrary matrices and is defined as the percentage of the sum of the regularity of a matrix to the sum of the regularity of the «most regular» matrix (all significant symbols of which are the same) of the same form. Algorithms for calculating the sum and regularity coefficient of a matrix are proposed and implemented in computer programs. As an applied area, the article uses the analysis of the regular structure of the poems of the ancient Chinese «Canon of Poems» (Shih-ching). The poem is represented by a four-dimensional matrix, its coordinates are a stanza, a line in a stanza, a verse in a line, and a hieroglyph in a verse; blank characters equalize the sizes of verses, lines and stanzas. The article presents generalizing results of computer experiments with all 305 poems of Shih-ching.

Abstract:
Atmospheric nitrous oxide (N2O) as one of the most potent greenhouse gases significantly contributes to the global warming effect. Therefore, an accurate and valid measurement method for monitoring its environmental release is of great importance. In this study, an analytical method for the measurement of N2O in a nitrogen (N2) matrix using gas chromatography and microelectron capture detection (GC‐μECD) has been validated. The analytical method was validated in terms of some performance parameters such as system suitability, precision (repeatability and reproducibility), linearity, limit of detection (LoD) and limit of quantitation (LoQ), accuracy and method robustness. The results show that the GC system was found to be suitable for the measurement of N2O in the N2 matrix. The repeatability and reproducibility of the method were found to have %RSD of 1.42 and 0.71, respectively, indicating that the method is repeatable and reproducible for N2O measurement. The linearity of the method was excellent, having the R2 value of 0.9998. The LoD and LoQ of the method were found to be 0.10 and 0.34 µmol mol-1, respectively. Evaluation of method accuracy showed that the method is also accurate for the measurement of N2O in the N2 matrix. The method’s roughness indicated that the method was quite stable and unaffected by slight changes in the experimental conditions. From this study, it can be concluded that the validated method can be used in testing laboratory for internal quality assurance programs purposes related to the measurement of N2O in N2 matrix.

Abstract:
The invasion of tumor cells from the primary tumor is mediated by invadopodia, actin-rich protrusive organelles that secrete matrix metalloproteases and degrade the extracellular matrix. This coupling between protrusive activity and matrix degradation facilitates tumor invasion. We previously reported that the PI3Kβ isoform of PI 3-kinase, which is regulated by both receptor tyrosine kinases and G protein–coupled receptors, is required for invasion and gelatin degradation in breast cancer cells. We have now defined the mechanism by which PI3Kβ regulates invadopodia. We find that PI3Kβ is specifically activated downstream from integrins, and is required for integrin-stimulated spreading and haptotaxis as well as integrin-stimulated invadopodia formation. Surprisingly, these integrin-stimulated and PI3Kβ-dependent responses require the production of PI(3,4)P2 by the phosphoinositide 5′-phosphatase SHIP2. Thus, integrin activation of PI3Kβ is coupled to the SHIP2-dependent production of PI(3,4)P2, which regulates the recruitment of PH domain-containing scaffolds such as lamellipodin to invadopodia. These findings provide novel mechanistic insight into the role of PI3Kβ in the regulation of invadopodia in breast cancer cells.

Abstract:
The widespread distribution of digital images on the internet has diminished the copyright protection associated with them. In some cases, copyrighted and economically valuable digital images should not be modified or distributed without permission, as altering the original image can harm its owner. This violation is common, but many internet users are unaware of it. The goal of this research is to protect intellectual property rights of digital images using visual cryptography based on the Hill Cipher algorithm with matrix key flexibility. Hill Cipher is chosen for its ability to encrypt data in blocks, making it more secure than classical cryptographic algorithms that encrypt data individually. Visual cryptography is used to secure digital images through encryption and decryption. Encryption scrambles the image, while decryption restores it. The research method involves collecting digital image datasets, preprocessing, Hill Cipher encryption, and decryption. Key flexibility includes matrix keys of 2x2, 3x3, and 4x4 to enhance security. This research has demonstrated the effectiveness of the Hill Cipher algorithm in protecting digital images through encryption and decryption processes with flexible matrix keys of size 2x2 and 3x3. The results of the experiments, including encryption and decryption using both matrix sizes, have been thoroughly analyzed with respect to various cryptographic metrics: histogram analysis, energy, entropy, and running time.

Abstract:
Fe-based alloy modified layers were prepared on 304 stainless steels by high-energy pulse laser-like cold welding cladding technique. The microstructure, composition and phase constituents of the cladding layers were analyzed using SEM, EDS and XRD, respectively. The microhardness, friction-wear and cavitation erosion resistance were also investigated using microhardness tester, pin-on-disk wear-testing machine and ultrasonic vibrator. Experimental results showed that Fe-based alloy modified layer was mainly composed of α-Fe matrix phase and skeleton-like Cr23C6, Cr7C3 carbide reinforced phase, which was dispersively distributed into α-Fe matrix. The microhardness and friction coefficients of Fe-based alloy modified layer were 600HV and 0.4, respectively, indicating an improved wear resistance. The weight loss rate and average erosion depth of the modified layer was 1/5 and 1/10 that of 304 stainless steel in 3.5% NaCl solution after 5-h cavitation erosion test, respectively. The erosion crater depth of the modified layer was uniform, indicating that the cavitation erosion resistance of the modified layer was much better than that of the 304 stainless steel.
