Abstract Soluble sugar and starch levels were measured in leaf, stem, and petiole tissues of 3 tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) cultivars throughout plant development in order to 1) assess the contribution of reserve carbohydrates to final fruit yield and quality and 2) determine whether genotypic variation exists for this trait. In all 3 cultivars — ‘VF145B-7879’ (‘7879’), ‘UC82’ (‘82’), and ‘BL6807’ (‘6807’) — leaf tissue was found to accumulate high levels of both soluble sugars and starch. Stem and petiole tissues, although having high sugar content, accumulated little starch. An est

Abstract Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) is a continual issue across the United States as the leading cause of cancer-related mortalities. Within NSCLC, Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) mutations have emerged as a main genetic driver. Treatment for EGFR mutated lung cancers has evolved over the past two decades, starting with the EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors gefitinib and erlotinib, and more recently moving to osimertinib. These treatments are typically successful initially, but resistance to EGFR inhibitors is inevitable for many patients. Findings ways to overcome the myriads of

This paper investigates the use of threshold signature schemes in isogeny-based cryptosystems. By leveraging the distinct features of isogeny graphs, we propose a protocol that offers high security and practical efficiency, making it ideal for distributed ledger technologies and secure multi-party computations. Our scheme is resistant to quantum attacks and maintains minimal computational and communication overheads. We present an extensive analysis of the security and performance of our protocol, emphasizing its relevance to real-world cryptographic systems. MSC 2020: 94A60, 11G07, 68M07.

Chemokines are a highly conserved family of chemoattractant cytokines that are key to the movement of cells around the body under both inflammatory and homeostatic conditions. Chemokines bind to seven transmembrane G protein coupled receptors that signal and induce cell movement upon ligand binding. As well as the ‘classical’ chemokine receptors, there also exists a family of atypical chemokine receptors that do not induce a canonical signalling response upon ligand binding. These atypical chemokine receptors (ACKR) have been shown to modify the chemokine response through processes such as the

A major barrier to the use of cartilage substitution materials is suitable in vitro testing of cartilage materials.
