Abstract:

The wetlands of North Bihar harbour diverse macrophytes in free floating (8.55%), rooted floating (12.82%), unanchored submerged (3.42%), anchored submerged (6.84%) and emergent (68.37%) forms. The emergent habit appears to be fittest for survival in all the wetlands (ditches, lakes, ponds, chaurs, marshes). Amongst the recorded 117 species of macrophytes, the monocots (50.42%) dominate over algae (1.71%), ferns (2.57%) and dicots (45.30%).

Abstract:

Abstract Metastasis is the main cause of tumor-related mortality in breast cancer patients. Improving our understanding of the metastatic cascade is imperative to improve patient outcomes. Prior research indicates cancer cells with increased metastatic potential have acquired adaptive properties induced by factors in the tumor microenvironment (TME), including hypoxia. However, previous hypoxia research has primarily focused on signaling changes that occur when cancer cells are in the hypoxic TME and does not account for long-term changes that may occur once cancer cells re-enter normoxia, such as when they metastasize. Our research in patient-derived circulating tumor cell (CTCs) lines and breast cancer cell lines indicates that certain transcriptional changes are maintained after cells leave hypoxia, and that these post-hypoxic cells maintain a higher metastatic potential compared to cells not exposed to hypoxia. Taking an un-biased approach to define changes in hypoxia-exposed breast cancer cells upon reoxygenation, we performed bulk RNA-Seq on post-hypoxic luminal breast cancer cell lines compared to normoxic controls cultured either in adherent or suspension conditions, the latter to mimic the physiological context of CTCs. We found that a subset of genes that were differentially expressed in hypoxic conditions were maintained as up- or down-regulated after cells were reoxygenated, indicating a “hypoxic memory”. Additionally, a subset of differentially expressed genes were unique to the post-hypoxic cells, demonstrating both prolonged and novel gene expression changes induced by hypoxia exposure. We also performed functional assays and observed that this post-hypoxic state is associated with a more aggressive phenotype. Current research in our lab is on-going to understand the epigenetic changes that may be responsible for this hypoxic memory. Overall, this research will improve our understanding of the prolonged consequences of hypoxia on CTC biology and metastasis. Abstrak: Stunting merupakan kondisi gagal tumbuh kembang dan masalah terkait gizi yang disebabkan oleh asupan gizi yang kurang. Penderita stunting memiliki postur tubuh lebih pendek dari standar usianya, mudah sakit, serta memiliki produktivitas yang rendah pada saat dewasa. Penerapan pencegahan stunting pada anak-anak merupakan hal penting yang harus terus digerakkan sebagai upaya penurunan nilai prevalensi stunting. Dengan demikian, diharapkan angka kejadian stunting di Indonesia dapat ditekan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi terkait stunting dan upaya pencegahannya melalui pola makan gizi seimbang menggunakan buku digital dan audio visual. Kegiatan pengabdian ini mampu meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya mencegah stunting dengan pemenuhan gizi seimbang dan dengan edukasi melalui buku digital serta audio visual akan mudah dipahami oleh masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan di LKSA Amanah Tasikmalaya dengan dihadiri jumlah responden 63 orang. Media yang digunakan berupa buku digital dan audio visual terkait stunting serta gizi seimbang, dan juga pemberian kuesioner dengan jumlah pertanyaan 10 soal. Hasil penilaian menggunakan kuesioner dengan metode pre-post test menunjukan adanya peningkatan dari 68,37% menjadi 88,90%. Sehingga terdapat peningkatkan pengetahuan responden terhadap penegtahuan stunting dan pola pemilihan makanan kandungan gizi seimbang.Abstract: Stunting is a condition of failure to grow and develop and problems related to nutrition caused by insufficient nutritional intake. Stunting sufferers have a body posture that is shorter than standard for their age, get sick easily, and have low productivity as adults. Implementing stunting prevention in children is an important thing that must continue to be carried out as an effort to reduce the prevalence of stunting. In this way, it is hoped that the number of stunting incidents in Indonesia can be reduced. This community service activity aims to provide education regarding stunting and efforts to prevent it through a balanced nutritional diet using digital books and audio visuals. This service activity is able to increase public awareness about the importance of preventing stunting by providing balanced nutrition and education through digital books and audio visuals that will be easily understood by the public. This community service activity was carried out at LKSA Amanah Tasikmalaya, attended by 63 respondents. The media used were digital books and audio visuals related to stunting and balanced nutrition, as well as providing a questionnaire with a total of 10 questions. The results of the assessment using a questionnaire with the pre-post test method showed an increase from 68.37% to 88.90%. So there is an increase in respondents' knowledge regarding stunting awareness and food selection patterns with balanced nutritional content.

Abstract:

The growing interest of organizations in improving their software processes has led them to aim at achieving high maturity, where statistical process control (SPC) is required. One of the challenges involved in performing SPC is selecting measures suitable for it. Measures used in SPC can be found in the literature and can be reused by organizations, but the information is dispersed, not favoring reuse. From measures suggested in the literature or used in practical experiences, it is possible to identify patterns that can be used to support organizations in measurement planning. Patterns can be organized as pattern languages, which favor reuse and contribute towards increasing productivity. In this work, from the results of a systematic mapping and a survey, we identified measurement planning patterns in the Goal-Question-Metric format and organized them in a Measurement Planning Pattern Language (MePPLa). MePPLa was created by following a Systematic Approach for creating Measurement Planning Pattern Languages (SAMPPLa), also defined in this work. This paper presents SAMPPLa, MePPLa and the main results of a study carried out to evaluate MePPLa. The results showed that using MePPLa is viable and useful to aid in software measurement planning. Mainly, MePPLa contributes to increasing productivity when creating a measurement plan and the quality of the resulting measurement plan.

El descubrimiento de otro testimonio de las Definiciones de la Orden de Calatrava de finales del siglo XIII entre los códices del monasterio de Alcobaça, hoy conservados en la Biblioteca Nacional de Portugal, en Lisboa, fue el punto de partida de este trabajo. Esas definiciones de Calatrava se publicaron en 2015, pero a partir de una versión incompleta y con lagunas, transmitida en portugués por un códice del convento de Avis, compilado en la segunda mitad del siglo XV. El nuevo testimonio de estas definiciones descubierto en Alcobaça, también en una traducción al portugués de 1439-1440, no solo es más completo, sino que ofrece muchas variantes preferibles. Publicado en el anexo, trae noticias importantes sobre las definiciones de Calatrava de finales del siglo XIII, promulgadas por el capítulo general de Císter para regular aspectos decisivos de la vida interna de la orden, que eran entonces causa de tensión y de discordia entre los freiles. Entre ellos, estaba la recepción de novicios y el ritual de la profesión, la elección de los maestres y la división de los bienes de la orden, o la duración y el ritmo de las visitas del abad de Morimond. Si las definiciones nos ayudan a conocer el ambiente que caracterizó la vida de la orden a finales del siglo XIII, su traducción al portugués permite detectar, por otro lado, las razones dictadas por el interés del monasterio de Alcobaça que hallamos detrás de la normativa de Calatrava

The infrared multiphoton decomposition of dimethylnitramine and diethylnitramine in the gas phase under almost collisionless conditions has been studied with a tunable CO2 laser. The steady state rate coefficient for their unimolecular decomposition were found to be kDENA(st) = 105.5 ± 0.1(I/MW cm–2) s–1, and kDENA(st) = 105.2 ± 0.1(I/MW cm–2) s–1, for laser intensities in the range 3–15 MW cm –2. The dependence of rate constants and product yields on laser fluence have indicated that the unimolecular dissociation of both nitramines occurs via scission of the N-NO2 bond, and the main secondary reaction leading to the final photolysis products (nitrosamine and nitroxide) is the oxidation reaction of nascent dialkylamino radical with parent nitramine or NO2 product.

Abstract:

Background The efficiency of prolonged down-regulation caused by a full-dose of gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRH-a) injected during different menstrual phases has not yet been researched. Our goal was to evaluate the effects of GnRH-a, which was used in different phases of the menstrual cycle in patients undergoing in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer. Methods This was a retrospective cohort study. A total of 320 patients received a prolonged pituitary down-regulated full-dose (3.75 mg) of triptorelin in the early follicular phase, and 160 patients received the same full-dose of triptorelin during the mid-luteal phase. Clinical and laboratory outcomes were compared between the two groups. Results The basic characteristics of the two groups were comparable. The mean number of retrieved oocytes, fertilized oocytes, cleavage oocytes and good quality embryos were comparable between the two groups. Although there was a higher antral follicle count, cyst formation rate, fertilization rate and cleavage rate in the follicular phase group, no statistically significant effects were seen on implantation rate (41.15% vs. 45.91%), clinical pregnancy rate (60.38% vs. 61.36%), ongoing pregnancy rate (57.74% vs. 57.58%), live birth rate (56.23% vs. 57.58%) or early abortion rate (2.64% vs. 3.79%) per fresh transfer cycle. Moreover, severe ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome rates at the early stage (1.89% vs. 2.27%) were low in both groups. Conclusions Prolonged pituitary down-regulation achieved by utilizing a full-dose of GnRH-a administrated in either phase of the menstrual cycle can have a positive effect on ongoing pregnancy rate and live-birth rate per fresh embryo transfer cycle. Ovarian cyst formation rate was higher in the follicular phase group, but this did not have any adverse impact on clinical results.

Abstract:

Bilingwizm na gruncie polskiego językoznawstwa interesuje badaczy głównie w wymiarzewspółczesnym. Ostatnio jednak daje się zauważyć rosnącą tendencję do opisówbilingwizmu jednostkowego i grupowego w ujęciu historycznym. W kontekście zachowańbilingwalnych rozpatruje się coraz częściej problemy dawniej podejmowane z innejperspektywy. Zmiana optyki, wiążąca się z podkreśleniem roli bilingwizmu w historiipolszczyzny, stanowi skutek kilku czynników. Do najważniejszych należy odchodzenieod normatywnego stosunku do zagadnienia kontaktów językowych, wartościującegonegatywnie przejawy mieszania języków oraz porzucenie przekonania o marginalnejskali zjawiska w polskiej przeszłości językowej. Celem opracowania jest przyjrzenie siędotychczasowym opisom bilingwizmu historycznego, zwrócenie uwagi na źródła badańoraz próba wskazania perspektyw badawczych, jakie otwiera ten kierunek.
