Abstract:
The structure of the novel mixed-phosphine complex mer(PMe3)-trans(PEt3)(PPri3)H-trans-Cl2IrIII has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis at 146±3 K. Crystals are monoclinic, space group P 21/c, with a 7·414(4), b 15·073(3), c 9·796(2) Å, β 97·46(1) and Z 4. Structure refinement by constrained (2xC-C distances) full-matrix least-squares analysis (2378 unique reflections, 217 parameters) converged with R 0·049 and ωR 0·055. The PPri3 ligand is face-to-face configured with the unique Pri group eclipsing the hydride ligand. The PEt3 ligand is asymmetrically configured with

Abstract In order to reduce toxicity in elderly patients with newly diagnosed APL, since 3/1997 the Italian cooperative group GIMEMA evaluated an amended AIDA protocol for patients aged > 60 years, consisting of the same induction with ATRA and Idarubicin but only 1st consolidation course (Idarubicin + Cytarabine), followed by 2 years maintenance with ATRA alone. Up to now, 56 patients (25 males and 31 females, median age 66.2 years, 46 with PS 0-1 and 10 with PS 2) are fully evaluable. At onset, according to GIMEMA-PETHEMA risk score, 18 were low-risk(32.5%), 31 intermediate risk (55%)

Aims, Objectives and BackgroundThere is evidence that COVID-19 ‘lockdowns’ may have contributed to increased non-accidental injury, domestic violence and self-harm related to deteriorating mental health. Internationally, there is also evidence that the diversion of health care resources may led to worse outcomes for patients presenting with major trauma. There has been no previous national evaluation of ‘lockdown’ measures impact on the characteristics, treatment pathways and outcomes of trauma patients in EnglandWe aimed to assess the impact of successive lockdowns on the volume, demographics

Listeria monocytogenes can survive and grow in refrigerated foods with pH values of approximately 4.0 to 5.0 and salt concentrations of 3 to 4%. Home-fermented refrigerator dill pickles fit this description. Contamination of this product with L. monocytogenes could cause serious problems because these items are not heated prior to consumption. L. monocytogenes survival and growth patterns were investigated in refrigerator dill pickles at 1.3, 3.8, and 7.6% salt concentrations. Pickling cucumbers were dipped into an inoculum of L. monocytogenes, brine mixtures were added, and cucumbers were hel
