Abstract:
Neuroinflammation, in particular activation of microglia, is thought to play an important role in the progression of neurodegenerative diseases. In activated microglia, the purinergic P2X7 receptor is upregulated. A-740003, a highly affine and selective P2X7 receptor antagonist, is a promising candidate for the development of a radiotracer for imaging of neuroinflammation by positron emission tomography. For this purpose, [11C]A-740003 was synthesised and evaluated in vivo with respect to both tracer metabolism and biodistribution. In plasma, a moderate metabolic rate was seen. In healthy

The P2X7 receptor is an ATP-gated cation channel expressed by a number of cell types, including osteoblasts. Genetically modified mice with loss of P2X7 function exhibit altered bone formation. Moreover, activation of P2X7 in vitro stimulates osteoblast differentiation and matrix mineralization, although the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Because osteogenesis is associated with enhanced cellular metabolism, our goal was to characterize the effects of nucleotides on metabolic acid production (proton efflux) by osteoblasts. The affinity-purified membrane protein is therefore most likely to be the bovine epithelial receptor for polymeric immunoglobulin. A structural model is proposed.

The results indicated that at closer plant spacings of 30 × 30 cm (110 000 plants/ha) and 45 × 30 cm (74000 plants/ha), palmarosa responded to higher amounts of N fertilizer (240 kg N/ha/year). It was suggested that a plant spacing of 30 × 30 and 45 × 30 cm and application of 240 kg N/ha/year result in high essential oil yield of palmarosa

This model was dismissed by scholars in the late 19th century when it was called just a simple invention of a clergyman; however, a detailed analysis shows that his interpretation of the calendar was based on genuine ethnographic information. According to Duquesne, this calendar was based on a series of moons whose multiples are 5, 20 and 37. These multiples generate time series that
