AbstractWe prove that the category of trees Ω is a test category in the sense of Grothendieck. This implies that the category of dendroidal sets is endowed with the structure of a model category Quillen-equivalent to spaces. We show that this model category structure, up to a change of cofibrations, can be obtained as an explicit left Bousfield localisation of the operadic model category structure.

Abstract:
In 1843 Kierkegaard (or his pseudonym, Constantin Constantius) introduced the category of repetition as a paradigm of modern choughc. Greek t hought, he argued, belongs to the paradigm of recollection, and virtually the entire history of philosophy falls under this category. Modern thought can free itself from the hegemony of the Greek logos only when repetition replaces recollection. On the basis of this distinction between recollection and repetition, my dissertation analyses and explores the meaning of repetition as a paradigm of modern thought. Also, it contrasts the theory of the will and the theory of the declaration, and refers to the controversy between Emilio Betti and Giuseppe Stolfi about the dispute over the language. The idea of monism is developed in the theory of the Juridical Act quoting Santi Romano and Hans Kelsen, as well as its tensions with dualism. Abstract:
A central question in the study of language learning is how humans acquire syntactic categorical distinctions among words (e.g. noun, verb, etc.). Past research using miniature artificial grammars suggests that semantic information is not needed for this learning; distributional information alone can provide adequate input for learning. The current experiments extended this finding to a natural language. Adults who had never studied Russian listened to lists of Russian words for seven minutes. The words consisted of a content morpheme and a grammatical ending. The participants were not told th
