Aim: This study proposes to investigate the influence of various surgical guide designs on the generation temperature in the cortical and cancellous regions of the osteotomy site. The working hypothesis was that open guides are more efficacious in controlling excessive heat generation in cortical and cancellous areas. Materials and Methods: Implant osteotomy was performed on specimens simulating D3 bone density using surgical guides produced with three different designs: an open guide, a guide with an external cooling channel, and a closed guide. AbstractObjectiveTo evaluate the accuracy of ventral slot creation in canine cadavers with a three‐dimensional (3D)‐printed drill guide compared to the freehand technique.Study designEx vivo study.Sample populationEight canine cadavers (23.4–39.8 kg).MethodsComputed tomography (CT) data was used to create patient‐specific 3D‐printed surgical guides for ventral slot creation. Intervertebral sites were randomized to undergo either a guided (n = 12) or freehand (n = 12) ventral slot by a novice surgery resident. Abstract Background This retrospective clinical study aims to present results of experience with a novel guided surgery system with a sleeveless, open-frame structure, in which the surgical handpiece (not the drills used for preparation) is guided. Methods This study was based on an evaluation of the records of partially edentulous patients who had been treated with a sleeveless open-frame guided surgery system (TWIN-Guide®, 2Ingis, Brussels, Belgium), between January 2015 and December 2017. Inclusion criteria were patients with good systemic/oral health and a minimum follow-up of 1 year. Excl

AbstractThis article presents a technique for fabricating two‐piece labial guides using resin and cobalt‐chromium for guided alveoloplasty, implant placement, and immediate full‐arch implant‐supported fixed complete denture placement. This technique reduces tissue damage and overcomes the negative effect of the anatomical position of the palatal neuropore and mobility of the tissue flap on the positioning and stability of the guide. The use of labial retention metal guides with improved mechanical properties of cobalt‐chromium and fixation plugs allows the unilateral placement of the guide. Th

Abstract:
Severe tour guide stigma is a significant problem hindering tourism development. Based on self-identity threat and moral disengagement theory, this study analyzed the relationship between tour guide stigmatization and tour guides’ interpersonal deviance behavior. Survey data collected from 241 tour guides at three different points in time showed that tour guide stigmatization was positively related to tour guides’ interpersonal deviance behavior and that self-identity threat mediated this effect. The results also show that moral disengagement moderated the effect of tour guides’ self-identity

AbstractPurposeTo achieve accurate socket shield preparation with newly proposed guides that are based on guiding rails and to investigate the effect of rail format (unilateral or bilateral) and rail height on the accuracy and efficiency of the guides.Materials and MethodsTwo surgical guides based on grooved rails to guide the rotary instruments were produced. The first guide was used to cut the root into a labial shield with a pre‐designed form and a lingual one, while the second guide was used to reduce the socket shield to the alveolar bone crest. Abstract Objective The study aimed to assess the angular and linear deviations of implants installed in mannequins aided by surgical guides produced with the techniques of dual tomography (DT), model-based tomography (MT), and nonprototyped guide. Materials and Methods Implants were installed in mannequins of a partially edentulous maxilla and divided into three groups: Group C (n = 20), implants installed using the conventional technique with flap opening and conventional guide; Group DT (n = 20), implants installed using guided surgery with the dual tomography technique; and Group MT (n = 20
