Abba Orphanage is an orphanage under the Abba Affection Foundation (YKSA) located in Merauke. This foundation specializes in serving and fostering indigenous Papuan children with dormitory education. Currently, the electrical capacity of the Abba Orphanage has an installed electrical power of 1300 VA and is not adequate to meet all daily electricity needs of the orphanage. This also causes a lack of lighting at the entrance of the orphanage along ±300m from the main road. Today, increasing numbers of batteries are installed in residential and commercial buildings; by coordinating their operation, it is possible to favor both the exploitation of renewable sources and the safe operation of electricity grids. However, how can this multitude of battery storage systems be coordinated? Using the Application Programming Interfaces of the storage systems’ manufacturers is a feasible solution, but it has a huge limitation: communication to and from storage systems must necessarily pass through the manufacturers’ cloud infrastructure. Therefore, this article presents an

Off-grid hybrid microgrids, which integrate multiple energy sources based on resource availability and economic or environmental considerations, are gaining attention as an alternative to unreliable conventional power systems. This study explores the feasibility of combining photovoltaic (PV) and biomass energy to develop a sustainable hybrid renewable energy system (HRES). Using HOMER Pro v3.14.5, the system is designed to meet the energy demand of a rural community with an estimated load of 264,781 kWh, solar radiation of 5.3785 kWh/m²/day, and biomass availability of 8 tonnes/day. Setting out to understand Frege, the scholar confronts a roadblock at the outset: We just have little to go on. Much of the unpublished work and correspondence is lost, probably forever. Even the most basic task of imagining Frege's intellectual life is a challenge. The people he studied with and those he spent daily time with are little known to historians of philosophy and logic. To be sure, this makes it hard to answer broad questions like: ‘Who influenced Frege?’ But the information vacuum also creates local problems of textual interpretation. Permanent disability is a medico-judicial concept that aggravates the qualification of a criminal offence. The function of the forensic doctor is not always easy. The Algerian legislator has not defined this notion, nor determined a percentage to qualify it. From this point of view, ask yourself if such a notion is clearly defined by the legislation. On the other hand, to wonder if the determination of permanent disability constitutes a difficulty to the forensic doctor during the criminal expertise. The solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) keeps eluding our grasp. Fundamental understanding of Li-ion battery performance will not be complete until the major underlying reaction pathways of SEI formation and growth have been described.1 Although the SEI has been observed to be a complex and highly diverse matrix of in-/organic crystalline and amorphous aggregates, likely only few compounds are functional, i.e. passivate the electrode while at the same time sustaining the Li+ transport. There is a growing need to analyze and optimize the stand-by component of power in digital circuits designed for portable and battery-powered applications. Since these circuits remain in stand-by (or sleep) mode significantly longer than in active mode, their stand-by current, and not their active switching current, determines their battery life. Hence, stringent specifications are being placed on the stand-by (or leakage) current drawn by such devices. As the power supply voltage is reduced, the threshold voltage of transistors is scaled down to maintain a constant switching speed. Since redu

In December 2002, a new wind-diesel system, rated 30 kVA, was commissioned on the island of Osmussaare, Estonia, by the Swedish company PitchWind Systems AB. The wind-diesel system is the only power source on this isolated island, where a radar station is under construction. The end user is the Estonian Border Guard and the project was carried out in cooperation with a local partner, Empower EEE AS, which also supplied the tower of the wind turbine. PitchWind's wind turbines are especially suited for wind-diesel applications, because of the variable speed operation and special control system.

Environmental issues are important challenges for today’s society. Lots of the energy used by humans comes from fossil energy sources resulting in the environmental threats. A considerable amount of this energy is used in the building sector. Industrial buildings and sports facilities are large users of energy and thus becomes very interesting in an optimization point of view. Modelling of the systems allows for cheap and effective optimizing of the energy usage and effectivity measures can be investigated and implemented. Article Summary 1. Origins. Among the dominant influences on eighteenth-century aesthetics are divisions between classicists and modernists, between the rationalism of Descartes (1596–1650), Leibniz (1646–1716), and particularly Christian Wolff (1679–1754) and the followers of Newton (1642–1727) and Locke (1632–1704), and between commercially motivated authors and critics and the talented polite learning of the nobility. A. G. Baumgarten (1750/1758) coined the word ‘aesthetics’ from the Greek αισθητικοσ, having to do with perceiving by the senses, but the word did not come into widespread use
