It is written from a psycho biographical or psycho critical viewpoint and uses historical, literature and philosophical tools in order to analyse in depth details the life and the Abellio’s various writings. Its approach tries to explain the inner-outer, fictive-real dialectic in the double life of the author. Between history and literature, this thesis develops a philosophical path: the building of a modern Gnostic. Besides, this works presents a wide range of sources and unpublished documents, especially in regard to the French Collaboration period and to the main influence of Rudolph Steiner on Abellio

Full textThis thesis tries to determine and to make clear the varied levels of the testimony of an intellectual, immersed in the turbulences of our century. The first part presents the biography of a man coming from the working class, who becomes a technocrat. Error of judgment undoubtly which induces him to retire from the world and start in writing. The four other parts analyse successively the novels and account for the spiritual evolution of the author, according also to the three volumes of memories. Political background serves the characters in the quest of their destiny and dicovery of the sacred. These novels try to exorcize all the demons and abellio wants to understand all the mechanisms of the world because he hopes to change it. These realistic fictions happen at crucial times of the twentielth century and serve an historical and spiritualist point of view. This autodidact has adapted his philosophical discoveries to his esoterism and he has transposed it in his novels in order to diffuse his concepts and systems
