In this paper analyzes the electromagnetic radiation absorption by a composite based on bimetallic nanowires. Using the Drude-Lorentz theory it was obtained the relationship for the polarizability frequency dependences, as well as real and imaginary parts of the dielectric function of layered 1D-systems was obtained. It is shown that the structure in the form of a metal core covered with a layer of another metal leads to splitting and the appearance of two maxima in the frequency dependence of the absorption coefficient. The magnitude and position of the maxima are determined by the compositio

Conjugated acyclic arylamine derivatives, N-(4-methylphenyl)-N-(2-methyl-1-phenylpropyl)amine and N-(4-methoxyphenyl)-N-(2-methyl-1-phenylpropyl)amine, have been synthesized and characterized. Their photophysical properties have been investigated in polar methanol and non-polar cyclohexane solutions, and in PS and PMMA polymer matrices. The influence of the environment polarity as well as of the substituent in para-position of the aryl on the absorption, emission spectra and the fluorescence quantum yield has been studied. In the absorption and emission spectra, the observed absorption and emi

A novel D-A type molecule based on carbazole central core and aldehyde terminal groups has been designed and synthesized. Optical properties of the resulting compounds were examined by means of UV-vis and fluorescence spectroscopies. It shows that, the absorption and fluorescence spectra of M2 are large red-shifted relative to M1 in both states, whereas the absorption maximum and emission maxima of M1 and M2 are small blue-shifted, from solution to the solid state. The fluorescence spectra exhibit that the emission maxima of the compounds which range from 419 nm to 472 nm belong to blue light

A simple, rapid, accurate, precise and economical UV-spectrophotometric method has been developed and validated for simultaneous estimation of doxorubicin hydroxychavicol (DOXO) and OH-CHV in a pharmaceutical formulation. It is based on the Q-analysis UV Spectrophotometric method. The absorption spectra of DOXO and OH-CHV were obtained over the range of 200-800 nm, and the absorption maxima were determined. Multiple calibration standards were prepared for both the drugs separately and absorbances were recorded at respective absorption maxima. Calibration curves were plotted and the linear resp
