Prezentul studiu îşi propune să analizeze noua configuraţie a infracţiunii de abuz în serviciu prin raportare la condiţia încălcării legii de către subiectul activ.
 Sunt analizate astfel ipoteze de încălcare a legii precum şi mecanismul prin care se constată că s-a încălcat legea în raport de atribuţiile funcţionarilor.
 Totodată, studiul prezintă şi modul cum s-a reflectat în practica judiciară decizia Curţii Constituţionale nr. 405/2016, care a schimbat configuraţia infracţiunii de abuz în serviciu.

Este abuzul in serviciu în serviciu un bun instrument în această privință? Lucrarea încearcă să ofere câteva răspunsuri legate de modul de reglementare al infracțiunii de abuz in serviciu prin raportare la practica judiciară recentă și elemente de drept comparat. Lucrarea vine în contextul unor dezbateri pe marginea modificării conținutului constitutiv al infracțiunii și oferă unele propuneri având la bază argumente legate de practica judiciară română și străină precum și tendințe internaționale în acest domeniu.

Abstract:
În prezentul articol ne propunem să analizăm unele materiale științifice privind răspunderea penală pentru abuzul de serviciu (art.335 din Codul penal) publicate în Republica Moldova. Menționăm că cercetarea normelor de drept penal fără efectuarea unei analize complexe în coroborare cu ideile, con­­cepţiile, teoriile, principiile despre normele și instituţiile dreptului penal, analizate în monografii, manuale, tratate, cursuri universitare, studii, articole ştiinţifice din domeniu, care au ca obiect de studiu sau care reflectă într-o anumită măsură aspectele de conţinut ale infracţiunii de abuz de serviciu, indubitabil, nu ar conduce la atingerea rezultatelor scontate și propuse spre cercetare. Printre autorii autohtoni care au efectuat cercetări juridico-penale ale infracțiunii de abuz de serviciu din perspectiva dreptului penal material, viziunile cărora vor constitui baza ştiinţifico-teoretică a proiectul de cercetare, se numără: Sergiu Brînza, Vitalie Stati, Ruslan Popov, Ion Țurcanu, Valeriu Cușnir, Ivan Macari, Tudor Popovici, Alexandru Borodac. Lucrările autorilor menționați vor constitui în mod determinant baza teoretică a prezentei cercetări.

Abstract:
Abuzul în serviciu constituie o infracţiune cu un specific aparte, problematic, având în vedere modul sintetic de reglementare utilizat de legiuitor, relevat de terminologia generică folosită şi de structura logico-juridică a normei de incriminare. Cele mai acute dificultăţi apar în delimitarea infracţiunii de alte forme de răspundere juridică, aspect care ţine de domeniul de aplicare a normei de incriminare, precum şi în relaţia cu alte infracţiuni, în situaţia în care au vocaţie de aplicare concomitentă.
 Nu trebuie omis faptul că dreptul penal trebuie să devină incident doar atunci când interesul general este atât de afectat încât sancţiunea civilă, disciplinară sau administrativă nu este suficientă – aspect care decurge din caracterul auxiliar, discontinuu, fără un domeniu specific de reglementare al acestei ramuri de drept, elemente pe care se bazează principiul minimei intervenţii care guvernează această materie.
 În acest cadru, analiza istorică devine relevantă pentru înţelegerea evoluţiei normei de incriminare de-a lungul timpului în dreptul pozitiv care conferă informaţiile necesare pentru: interpretarea istorică a noţiunilor care compun actuala incriminare; consolidarea perspectivei asupra conceptului juridic de abuz în serviciu în ansamblul său; o mai bună aplicare în practica judiciară; delimitarea faţă de alte forme de răspundere juridică.
 Pe de altă parte, nu se poate omite nici modalitatea în care în diferite etape istorice s-au schimbat raţiunea incriminării, structura logico-juridică a acesteia în ansamblul său şi diferitele elemente constitutive punctuale.
 Contextul istoric în care a evoluat incriminarea de la abuz de putere la abuz în serviciu corelat cu jurisprudenţa contemporană diferitelor etape istorice poate contribui la o mai bună percepţie asupra diferitelor soluţii de practică judiciară şi anume asupra relevanţei lor pentru aplicarea actualei norme de incriminare. Din acest motiv, studiul îşi permite să sugereze întreruperea unei anumite inerţii în reţinerea însemnătăţii şi aplicabilităţii în continuare a anumitor soluţii jurisprudenţiale mai vechi.
 Perspectiva istorică este semnificativă şi pentru a determina relaţia abuzului în serviciu din reglementarea actuală cu alte incriminări din Codul penal în vigoare şi legislaţia penală specială, dar şi cu anumite contravenţii al căror subiect activ este funcţionarul public.
 Din acest motiv este necesară stabilirea reperelor în care a apărut clauza explicită de subsidiaritate, precum şi a celor în care a fost înlăturată din norma de incriminare. 
 Ca atare, analiza îşi propune să stabilească efectele acestei reconfigurări, precum şi chestiunea menţinerii tacite a acestei clauze, care în literatura de specialitate actuală este tratată ca reprezentând un caracter ce ţine de esenţa incriminării abuzului în serviciu.
 Dispariţia clauzei exprese de subsidiaritate pe considerente de redundanţă, respectiv evoluţia în timp a normei de incriminare după înlăturarea clauzei exprese şi păstrarea esenţei conceptuale a incriminării până în prezent, aduce în atenţie transformarea clauzei de subsidiaritate dintr-un expresă într-una tacită.
 Totodată, studiul trasează câteva repere în privinţa confuziei conceptuale tradiţionale dintre subsidiaritate şi specialitate, evidenţiind optica doctrinară asupra conceptului de subsidiaritate care a înglobat în mod cutumiar, încă de la finalul anilor ’50, relaţia gen – specie cu alte infracţiuni.
 În primul Cod penal al Principatelor Unite ale Moldovei şi Ţării Româneşti nu exista o incriminare unică a abuzului în serviciu, iar legiuitorul s-a inspirat în acea epocă din legislaţiile penale occidentale, reglementând în mod distinct abuzul de putere, abuzul de autoritate şi, într-o manieră fragmentată, excesul de putere. Aceeaşi perspectivă s-a cristalizat sub auspiciile Codului penal Carol al II-lea, când excesul de putere a fost prevăzut într-o normă de reglementare distinctă şi sintetică.
 Ulterior, legiuitorul comunist s-a îndreptat spre spaţiul estic, inspirându-se din legislaţia penală sovietică, context în care a fost reglementat abuzul în serviciu, sistematizat în trei articole distincte. Trecerea la democraţie nu a marcat însă modificări semnificative la nivelul incriminării abuzului în serviciu, devenind stringentă pentru puterea legiuitoare doar nevoia unei resistematizări a textelor de lege.
 Studiul reflectă legătura strânsă dintre formele actuale ale abuzului în serviciu şi incriminările din legislaţia penală din perioada comunistă.
 În pofida faptului că articolul nu tratează forma specială a infracţiunii cuprinsă în Legea nr. 78/2000, analiza prezintă însemnătate şi în acest caz, câtă vreme art. 132 din acest act normativ reprezintă o normă de trimitere la abuzul în serviciu reglementat în Codul penal.
 Interpretarea istorică a normei penale nu este însă suficientă pentru a lămuri pe deplin problemele ridicate, trebuind corelată cu interpretarea gramaticală, teleologică şi sistematică a incriminării în lumina principiului legalităţii şi a documentelor internaţionale relevante, a jurisprudenţei în materia drepturilor omului, respectiv a principiilor de soluţionare a concursului aparent de norme penale.

To acquire a significant footing in today’s competitive airport environments, enhancing airport service performance for passengers is essential. This study aims to investigate the relationship between queuing time, prime services, security screening, and service performance at Abu Dhabi International Airport in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). A quantitative methodology was employed. The sample size for the PLS-SEM analysis and the passengers’ airport service performance was determined to be 230 respondents. The results revealed a significant relationship between queuing time, prime services, security screening, and airport service performance. The findings also demonstrated a significant positive relationship between queuing time and airport service performance (β = 0.193, t = 3.564, p ≤ 0.000), a significant positive relationship between prime services and airport service performance (β = 0.478, t = 9.225, p ≤ 0.000), and a significant positive relationship between security screening and airport service performance (β= 0.227, t = 4.196, p ≤ 0.000). The outcomes are anticipated to support Abu Dhabi International Airport management in making efficient processes to augment airport service accomplishment for passengers from UAE and different countries.

Pencucian uang atau di kenal dengan istilah money laundring, istilah money laundring sudah tidak lazim digunakan dalam menggambarkan usaha-usaha yang dilakukan oleh seseorang maupun badan hukum untuk melegalisasi uang “kotor” yang mereka peroleh dari hasil tindak pidana. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang bersifat empiris. Tipe penelitian ini melakukan penelitian lapangan yang kemudian dihubungkan dengan permasalahan yang menjadi pokok pembahasan yang dibahas di dalam penelitian ini. Jenis dan sumber data yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer, yaitu data yang diperoleh atau dikumpulkan oleh peneliti secara langsung dari sumber datanya. Penulis menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dengan sumber yang telah ditetapkan sebelumnya.
 This study discusses the money laundering crime committed by the Umrah Abu Tours service, as for the purpose of this study, namely to examine how the legal responsibility for the crime of embezzlement committed by the Umrah Abu Tours service, thus harming consumers in the implementation of Umrah worship and how the process law enforcement against money laundering crimes committed by the Abu tours corporation. Money laundering or known as money laundering, the term money laundering is not commonly used to describe the efforts made by a person or legal entity to legalize the "dirty" money they get from the proceeds of a crime. This research is an empirical research. This type of research conducts field research which is then related to the problems that are the subject of discussion discussed in this research. Abstract Seljuks had a major role in political, racial, religious, economic, social, and cultural developments in Islamic lands under their territory. The Atabaki entity was introduced to Islam by Seljuk Turks. This study is to examine the scientific, cultural, and religious services of the Arbil Atabaks (Bani Bagtakin) government, which made their government last for about a century. According to the political, cultural, social, and military conditions and also the conflicts of local government in this period, many scholars and jurists were raised in the territory of Arbil Atabaks, and many books were written in a variety of fields. El presente trabajo describe la gestión de los préstamos interbibliotecarios (PI) del Acuerdo de Bibliotecas Universitarias de Córdoba. Se plantearon como objetivos para determinar el nivel de uso del servicio, el porcentaje de documentos obtenidos sobre el total de peticiones realizadas, la aplicación de encuestas de satisfacción, el uso de sistemas de promoción/difusión, la tipología de usuarios que utilizan el servicio, la tipología de documentos que solicitan, la forma en que las bibliotecas reciben las peticiones, las formas de envío utilizadas y los costos asociados al servicio. Se identificaron además las fortalezas y debilidades respecto a la logística y a la gestión del servicio, el nivel de satisfacción respecto al software de gestión y el nivel de conocimiento respecto al reglamento de PI. Se llevó a cabo un estudio exploratorio descriptivo con enfoque cuantitativo. El diseño fue transversal enmarcado en un estudio de campo cuyas unidades de análisis fueron los bibliotecarios encargados del servicio de PI y los directores de las bibliotecas miembros de ABUC. Se pudo concluir que la mayor fortaleza del servicioestá en el acceso a otras colecciones, lo que permite ampliar el acervo bibliográfico disponible para los usuarios. Las mayores debilidades del servicio de préstamos interbibliotecarios estuvieron relacionadas con los problemas relativos al software Cor-pib y con el envío y recepción de los documentos.

It is a custom among among horse breeders in Iraq to service the mares at first pastpartum heat (foal heat) Conception rates following such services were reported to reach 50%. Therefore, attempts were made to investigate the conception rates of first postpartum service in mares. The study was conducted on 32 Arabian mares aged between 8-12 years located at Al-Frosia stables in Abu-Ghraib. All mares were serviced at their foaling heat and were examined for pregnancy 4-6 months after the service. The results of the pregnancy examination revealed that only 9 mares (28%) were pregnant. This low percentage of conception rates might be due to incomplete uterine involution. Therefore, we recommend service at foal heat free from parturient complications.

Purpose E-government is new to the public administration sector of Abu Dhabi and it is rapidly expanding. The purpose of this paper is to explore the factors that might motivate citizens to adopt the e-government public services provided by the Government of Abu Dhabi Emirate. The insights of the study will help government leaders to plan the delivery of public services effectively. Design/methodology/approach The study surveyed 638 United Arab Emirates (UAE) citizens living in three main districts of the Abu Dhabi Emirate. The research used an exploratory factor analysis that conforms the validity of the theoretical model to the data collected, confirmatory analysis to extract the latent factors and both multiple regression and structural equation modelling to test the research hypotheses. Findings The finding revealed that internet trust and performance expectancy was the strongest predictors of intention to use e-government services. Effort expectancy, facilitating conditions and trust had a positive influence on behavioural intention (BI). However, social influence (SI) did not have a significant effect. Gender, age and experience did not affect the relationship between SI and BI. It was also found that BI to use e-government services had a significant influence on the actual use of e-government sites. Practical implications When the government gets to know the major factors that affect the adoption of e-government services in Abu Dhabi, it can maximise its returns on ICT infrastructure investments by providing efficient service that could be adopted by the citizens. Originality/value The research has theoretical and practical value. Though the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model has previously been used in organisational settings, the present study uses a modified version in the context of citizens’ acceptance and use of e-government services. The present study thus provides an extension of the UTAUT model that could be suitable for developing countries such as the UAE.

ABSTRACT Background: Following the World Health Organization statement ‘Health for all’, family medicine is a specialty that provides continuing, comprehensive healthcare to individuals and their families. Despite that, it is still not yet utilized to its full potential by the developing Middle-Eastern community. The aim of our study is to assess the perception and utilization of family medicine services among Abu Dhabi Island’s community. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted targeting Abu Dhabi Island’s community. A representative sample with 95% confidence level and 5% margin of error was calculated taking into consideration the latest report by the Abu Dhabi Statistics Center. A total of 395 adult participants were included in the study, who were asked to fill in an electronic-based validated questionnaire. SPSS software was then used for data analysis. Results: Majority of participants were UAE nationals (81%) and married (71.1%), with almost equal male (50.4%) to female ratio (49.6%). Participants had positive experiences in primary healthcare (PHC) overall, regardless of their gender, nationality and marital status. Positive experience percentages dropped with higher age and educational level (P-value &lt;0.05). A better understanding was noticed among ≥50 years of age with the rightful destination for emergency symptoms (P-value &lt;0.05). Participants overall agreed on PHC being the preferred allocation for treatment of fever, body aches and sore throat. Conclusion: Primary healthcare centres were chosen as preferred destinations for emergency and non-emergency cases, as the vast majority had positive experiences when attending them.

Nous examinons également les associations, dans les enquêtes conjointes, entre les caractéristiques relatives à l’enfant, celles relatives au pourvoyeur de soins de l’enfant, celles relatives aux mauvais traitements eux-mêmes et celles relatives à l’enquête, en nous intéressant plus particulièrement aux enquêtes sur les abus sexuels. Méthodolgie Nous avons analysé par régression logistique les données de l’Étude canadienne sur l’incidence des signalements de cas de violence et de négligence envers les enfants 2008. Résultats D’après les données, les enquêtes conjointes portent en premier lieu sur les abus sexuels (55 %), puis sur la violence physique, la négligence et la violence psychologique. La corroboration des mauvais traitements, les mauvais traitements graves, le placement, l’intervention des tribunaux de la jeunesse et l’orientation d’un membre de la famille vers des services spécialisés sont plus fréquents quand les services de police participent à l’enquête. Conclusion Cette étude vient bonifier l’information limitée dont on dispose sur les corrélats des enquêtes conjointes menées par les agences de protection de l’enfance et les services de police. D’autres recherches devront être effectuées pour déterminer l’efficacité de ces enquêtes conjointes.

To mitigate the development of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), antibiotic use (ABU) in the livestock sector needs to be reduced. In low- and middle-income countries, regulations have shown to be less successful in reducing ABU. Here, a bottom-up approach can complement legal frameworks, which requires an understanding of the drivers for ABU. In this study, we investigated the influence of geographic and socioeconomic settings on determinants for ABU among pig farmers in Uganda. The data were collected through a questionnaire in two districts, Lira and Mukono, and comparative statistical analyses were performed. Farmers in Lira had less access to animal health services, applied disease prevention measures less and used antibiotics more. In Mukono, it was more common to consult a veterinarian in response to disease, while in Lira it was more common to consult an animal health worker. There was no difference in how many farmers followed treatment instructions from a veterinarian, but it was more common in Lira to follow instructions from pharmacies. The findings support the need for locally tailored AMR-reducing interventions to complement regulations. To accomplish this tailoring, systematic collection of knowledge of farm structures, farm practices and access to animal health services and veterinary drugs is necessary.

This study undertakes epi-statistical analysis of early years mortality data in Abu Dhabi, i.e. mortality for the first 4 years of life in Abu Dhabi. This methodology involves the computation of rates and related measures during the period 2010-2911. The study found clear disparities in mortality by geographical region in the Abu Dhabi population aged 0-4 years. The study found further that stillbirths, neonatal mortality and infant mortality declined in Abu Dhabi during the 2010-2011 period. The study concludes that the massive improvements in early years mortality is likely to continue as the Emirate embarks on further developments in the health sector. The study concludes further that health care affordability, resulting from mandatory health insurance, has improved access to and use of health services in maternity and obstetrics. It is also the contention of the study that the improvements will continue into the future.

The findings of this study are based on the assumption that enhancing police service performance is essential for attaining long-term organizational objectives and cultivating a more robust rapport with the public. This is consistent with the overarching goal of the Abu Dhabi Police Department to uphold public safety while maintaining the provision of top-notch services; the findings present substantial practical and theoretical consequences. Essentially, it offers a structure for the Abu Dhabi Police Department to increase its approaches to providing services, consequently enhancing the way the public perceives and feels about their services. In theory, this enhances the current literature by presenting a novel model that can serve as a standard for future research in this domain. Although this research has made valuable contributions, it also recognizes specific limitations, which provide opportunities for further academic investigation. These restrictions encourage scholars to delve deeper into and broaden the literature, perhaps resulting in more extensive and nuanced insights into the connections between government performance, service quality, and consumer happiness within police agencies.

Hal ini terjadi karena kurangnya pemahaman manajemen di dalam penyusunan laporan keungan terutama mengenai perhitungan harga pokok kamar. Penetapan tarif kamar hanya berdasarkan pada persaingan pasar dan melihat pada biaya yang dikeluarkan saja. Oleh karena itu tim pengabdian akan melakukan pelatihan mengenai perhitungan harga pokok kamar dengan menggunakan pendekatan full cost berbasis excel. Tujuan dari pengebdian ini untuk memberikan peningkatan soft skill bagi pengelola hotel dalam menghitung biaya-biaya yang muncul disetiap kegiatan bisnisnya secara akurat. Metode yang dilakukan adalah pemberdayaan partisipatif, yang meliputi penyuluhan dan pelatihan, monitoring dan evaluasi dengan sasarannya adalah manajemen dan karyawan hotel yang berjumlah 7 orang.Setelah diberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan, manajemen Hotel RPA mengakui mereka memiliki kemampuan dan keterampilan yang memadai dalam membuat pencatatan yang digunakan untuk menghitung harga pokok produksi. This occurs due to a lack of understanding by management in preparing financial reports, especially regarding the calculation of the cost of the room. Room rates are determined solely based on market competition and looking at the costs incurred. Therefore the community service team will conduct training on calculating the cost of the room using an excel-based full cost approach. The method used is participatory empowerment, which includes counseling and training, monitoring and evaluation with the target of 7 hotel management and employees. After being given counseling and training, the RPA Hotel management acknowledged that they had sufficient ability and skills to make records that were used to calculate the cost of production. Context.— The production of whole slide images is the most advanced form of digital pathology, in which a high-resolution digital scanner is used to rapidly scan glass microscope slides and produce a computer-generated whole slide image that can be saved, stored in a network-attached storage device, and accessed through slide management software within the hospital domain and remotely by authorized users. Digital transformation of glass slides has revolutionized the practice of anatomic pathology by facilitating and expediting consultative services, improving clinical workflow, and becoming an indispensable tool in education and research. Objective.— To highlight the institutional need of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates) and the cultural background for obtaining the United Arab Emirates' first comprehensive digital pathology program; to describe a multiphase road map for achieving full implementation of this platform; and to describe the system's clinical applications and its future potential growth. Data Sources.— At Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, we prioritized our efforts to initiate digital consultations (eConsultations) and digital immunohistochemistry services (eIHC) with Cleveland Clinic Laboratories (Cleveland, Ohio). After this, we established an internal archiving system together with a subspecialty-based, organ-specific digital library of pathologic diseases. Conclusions.— We describe the strategic adoption and implementation of digital pathology into the clinical workflow of the pathology and laboratory medicine institute of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, and we highlight its impact on clinical operations, educational activities, and patient care.

In the sciences of Hadith, "Ilm Asma-ul-Rijal" is not less than the rampart for a fort. There are different ways of identifying the narrators of Hadith (Muhadditheen) through this Ilm Asma-ul-Rijal, which include their names, surnames, titles, lineage, attributes, authorship, status and shortcomings. In the topic under discussion, the possible aspects of the title "Al-Lahabi" mentioned in the Isnaad of the hadith have been studied. In this regard, an attempt has been made to know from the titles of the narrators, in the chain of narrators, and their relation with Al-Lahabi lineage whether they belong to the same family of Abu Lahab whose ancestor Abu Lahab’s enmity towards Islam was manifest and whether this family rendered its services to Islam? And among those who have been blessed with this service, only the authentic narrators have been mentioned with reference to the service of Hadith. The main purpose of this research is to determine the place and position of the descendants of Abu Lahab in the Ilm-e-Hadith by mentioning their knowledge and services. These gentlemen are not mentioned in the sources due to their services not being compiled and described. o, they could not get the pride of place which they deserved like the members of any other tribe. Therefore, in this paper, their introduction and their traditions are described so that their narrations can be assessed in the light of the valid rules and regulations of the narration of Hadith instead of prejudice and blind replication. I hope this study will subsequently open the doors for researchers on many aspects such as the social, religious, and political services of this family.

This study examines problems related to marketing management of educational services in improving the image of Islamic educational institutions through non-academic activities, starting from the marketing strategy used, the impact of marketing management strategies on the image of educational institutions and the key to success. This type of research is a field research, which is qualitative descriptive. Data collection methods in this study are interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis uses data flow model analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data was tested by triangulation of sources and triangulation of techniques. The results of this study indicate that: First, the marketing management of educational services in improving the image of educational institutions through non academic activities is carried out by implementing marketing management strategies, namely: (1) Planning by establishing the vision, mission, and goals of education and then identifying the market, market segmentation and positioning, and product differentiation. (2) Organizing is carried out by dividing the existing tasks to educator resources. (3) Actuating, by implementing a planned program using a marketing mix strategy. Then the last one is (4) Controlling. Second, the marketing management of educational services at SMP IT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta is proven to have a positive impact in improving the image of Islamic educational institutions through non academic activities, including: (1) Increasing public trust. (2) The establishment of good cooperation between schools and parents as users of educational services. (3) The number of guests for comparative studies. This article aims to analyse the political and social services of non-Muslims during the Fatimid dynasty (909-1171 A.D.) and their impact. This era has a significant position in Muslim history regarding the development and stability in various fields including knowledge, thought, civilization and industry. The socio-political conditions of the Fatimids were so inclusive and harmonious, that not only there were opportunities of progress for the Muslims but also an encouraging environment was present for the non-Muslims as well. Although, the majority of Egypt's population was Muslim during this period, there were also Christians, Jews and the followers of other religions too. The Fatimid caliphs fully protected the rights of the followers of different religions, paid attention to the construction and repair of their places of worship and gave them freedom of expression. As a result of this practice regarding religious harmony, non-Muslims rendered valuable services in politics, finance, commerce, and academic fields. In this regard, many historians, including Yaqub Bin Yusuf, Isa Bin Nestorius, Abu Saad al-Tustari, Fahad Bin Ibrahim, Mansha Bin Ibrahim al-Qazzaz, Abu Saad and Abu Mansoor have highlighted the contributions of the non-Muslims. However, the roles of such non-Muslim ministers and advisors have been controversial and various serious allegations have been leveled against them, which need to be investigated. In this background, analyzing the political and social services of non-Muslims and their effects in the Fatimid period is an important issue in academic circles. This research article has been presented to fulfil this academic need.

Abstract The mistreatment of children has become a major social concern. The suffering of children occurs in a variety of forms: sexual, physical or emotional abuse, and negligence. Studies that examine the incidence of child mistreatment have become an indispensable tool in documenting its extent, as well as its diverse forms, the characteristics of its victims and their abusers, and their environments. Such knowledge is essential to forming social policies, organizing services, and developing interventions and clinical practices adapted to the needs of families affected by this problem. The purpose of this article is to update current knowledge with regard to the incidence of child mistreatment. Specifically, it intends to determine rates of specific forms of mistreatment, to examine the evolution of such rates in recent years, and to identify important methodological shortcomings of studies in this area in order to identify challenges that must be met to obtain a reliable measurement of the extent of child mistreatment. Four methods of data collection were used to locate publications presenting rates of incidence: a bibliographical search among major data banks, a review of current literature, research among the web-sites of relevant organizations, and personal contacts with researchers working in this field. Literature was selected according to specific criteria for inclusion; 24 relevant publications were identified, a number of which present incidence rates based on a number of data banks and covering several years. The results demonstrate a significant variation in incidence rates, not only the rates of reported mistreatment (prior to investigation by child protection services) but also the rates of confirmed mistreatment following assessment. Reporting rates varied from 5 to 72 children per 1000 in the community; the child victim rates varied from 2 to 110 children per 1000. More than half of the situations of mistreatment consisted of negligence, followed by physical abuse (about 20 %), sexual abuse (about 10 %) and emotional abuse (about 6 %). An examination of regional rates also demonstrated significant differences. In general, the rates of reported as well as confirmed incidents in the United States were two to three times higher than those in Australia or Quebec, but only minimally higher than rates in Ontario. Rates of negligence and sexual or physical abuse followed the same pattern, while rates of emotional abuse were divergent. Differences among rates may to some extent be explained by regional differences, but methodological differences among studies are also important. Studies based on data from child protection agencies report much lower rates than studies based on data collected from professionals working with abused children in the community. Finally, rates of reported incidents of child mistreatment and rates of confirmed reports have increased significantly during the last twenty years. According to child protection services' data, rates seem to have stabilized since the beginning of the 1990s. According to data provided by community professionals however, the rate of child mistreatment has increased consistently during this period, whatever the form of abuse considered. The discussion of results examines three aspects: first, factors that may explain significant rate variations; second, the stability of rates reported by child protection services compared with the consistent rate increase reported by community professionals; and finally, current methodological shortcomings and means of improving future research.

e13680 Background: Telemedicine (TM) is the practice of medicine using technology to deliver care to patients at their locations. One of the major difficulties that cancer patients in Syria face is the ability to frequently visit Albairouni University Cancer Center (ABUH) in Damascus. The travel-related barriers to reach ABUH have increased due to the war, unsafe road, shortage of fuel, and high travel costs. Moreover, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, healthcare providers reduced unnecessary visits. Here, we present an initiative illustrating our Syrian experience of TM in cancer care. Methods: The initiative began on 2 January 2021 to serve cancer patients near to Salamyieh (a rural area, 3-hour drive to ABUH). We satellite a clinic located near to patients’ homes, and we provide it with the necessary telecommunication infrastructure to virtually contact me at ABUH. The team, consisting of physicians and volunteers, meet patients and help me gather the history, symptoms and all relevant documents to set up and complete the care plan. Patients who need to receive treatment present to ABUH where the cancer therapies are completely free of charge. The whole services of this initiative are free including the E-consults, follow-ups, and auto transportation back and forth to ABUH. The volunteers accompany and help patients in their trips to AHBU, as many of them lost their beloved caregivers due to the war. Results: Throughout the last 2 years, we served 500 new patients. The numbers of E-consults were 920 and 800 in 2021 and 2022, respectively. Few patients were uncomfortable with it due to the lack of in-person interaction. Thus, it was a challenge to build connection and trust with patients virtually. Conclusions: Collectively, despite of the limited resources, TM initiatives have a lot to offer for patients with cancer and present a great solution to follow up with them. This experience shows that TM works especially in low-income countries, during the pandemic, and in a war-affected setting, all of which are associated with poor socioeconomic status and insecurity.

Goat milk has gained international recognition as a high-end dairy product due to its distinct flavor and health advantages. Goat milk presents an unexplored prospect for hotel services in Mount Abu, a popular tourist destination in Rajasthan. This study examines efficient management and marketing techniques for boosting goat milk sales in lodging establishments while taking the local environment, visitor demographics, and market dynamics into account. A mixed-method approach was adopted, combining qualitative interviews with hotel managers and quantitative surveys of tourists visiting Mount Abu. A good way to improve visitor experiences and help out local farmers is by including goat milk in Mount Abu hotels' menus. By implementing efficient management procedures and focused marketing plans, hotels may take advantage of the rising demand for distinctive and health-conscious culinary items. Scalability and long-term effects on the local economy may be the subject of future studies.

The study used a Path analysis with 60 samples of the Maridive and Oil Services Abu Dhabi crew. The study used linear regression analysis technique, simple correlation, partial and path analysis. The results state that the variable in compliance with safety regulations could mediate the safety training to prevent the accidental risk on board. It shows that good safety training could increase the prevention of on board accidental risk mediated by compliance of the safety regulation

This research is motivated by students stating that they are lazy to follow lessons such as not taking attendance, not doing assignments, spending time playing games, and holding meetings with the opposite sex in one basecamp to have fun with their girlfriends. From these actions, which caused students to drop out of school due to pregnancy outside of marriage. The aim of this research is to find out whether the effect of the film White Gray and Sneakers is effective through guidance and counseling services to prevent promiscuity, this study uses a quantitative descriptive method. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the level of students' understanding of promiscuity before the screening of the film White Gray and Sneakers had an average value of 84.04, the level of understanding of students about promiscuity after the screening of the film White Gray and Sneakers had an average value of 86, 98 with a difference of 2.94. The results of statistical tests using the Paired Sample T-test showed that the P value 0.05, which was 0.000, meaning that there was an effect of the effect of the White Gray film and effective sneakers through guidance and counseling services to prevent promiscuity in SMA Karya 45 Bangunrejo Musi Rawas .

The analysis brings to light that high-quality services correlate with a high level of satisfaction for both stakeholders. Communication, empathy, and responsiveness were deemed as key factors that could improve service quality. Methodology/Technique - This study uses the descriptive-survey research approach to determine the service quality of the hospitality service among hotels in Abu Dhabi, UAE. A questionnaire was designed and pre-tested for reliability and validity before it was administered. The responses and interview answers of 50 hotel guests of different cultures and countries were gathered. Majority of them were tourists and travellers. Findings – Analysis of datadisclosed that the service quality of hotels in Abu Dhabi was appraised as "very good to excellent". Customer service and the quality of services were two important variables that play a major role in the hotel industry. Working in health, health care development and delivery, health services planning and provision as well as managing in the health environment and health assessment involve moral behavior. So also are public health dimensions such as health protection, illness prevention and health promotion activities. This article investigates ethical issues in health care in the UAE and identifies a number of ethics related issues and problems. They include malpractices and botched operations, inadequate information on procedures and cost to patients, sale of prescription only drugs over the counter, designer babies and Doctors being remunerated on commission basis. The article concludes that these ethical issues may have adverse effects on health care provision, accessibility and affordability. The article suggests a number of strategies to address the issues including new legislation prohibiting commission payments to medical professionals, enforcement of existing legislation and professional ethics, general public awareness campaigns and education.

This study investigates the wellbeing factors related to self-rated health for older adults in Abu Dhabi (≥55 years). The purpose is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the determinants of self-rated health, considering various wellbeing factors, controlling for factors such as gender, nationality and long-standing illness if present. This research drew from a sample of 2375 older adults who participated in the Abu Dhabi Quality-of-Life Survey (QoL) conducted in 2018. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis was employed where the first two models corresponded to gender, nationality and having a long-standing illness or not. The third model focused on the wellbeing factors of Abu Dhabi citizens (i.e., social networks and connection, income and housing, sports and activities, mental feelings). The analysis revealed the insignificance of gender and nationality as controlled variables while having a long-standing illness showed significant adverse effects. The most significant variables were social support networks, family and social arrangements and connections. Other variables of significance included housing satisfaction, household income satisfaction, frequency of practicing sports, current mental status and life satisfaction. Policymakers could use the outcomes as insider intelligence for policymakers and social work professionals to create policies, programs and services to enhance the lives of older people in Abu Dhabi.

OBJECTIVETo determine whether implementation of a multifaceted intervention would significantly reduce the incidence of central line–associated bloodstream infections.DESIGNProspective cohort collaborative.SETTING AND PARTICIPANTSIntensive care units of the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company hospitals in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.INTERVENTIONSA bundled intervention consisting of 3 components was implemented as part of the program. It consisted of a multifaceted approach that targeted clinician use of evidence-based infection prevention recommendations, tools that supported the identification of local barriers to these practices, and implementation ideas to help ensure patients received the practices. Comprehensive unit-based safety teams were created to improve safety culture and teamwork. Finally, the measurement and feedback of monthly infection rate data to safety teams, senior leaders, and staff in participating intensive care units was encouraged. The main outcome measure was the quarterly rate of central line–associated bloodstream infections.RESULTSEighteen intensive care units from 7 hospitals in Abu Dhabi implemented the program and achieved an overall 38% reduction in their central line–associated bloodstream infection rate, adjusted at the hospital and unit level. The number of units with a quarterly central line–associated bloodstream infection rate of less than 1 infection per 1,000 catheter-days increased by almost 40% between the baseline and postintervention periods.CONCLUSIONA significant reduction in the global morbidity and mortality associated with central line–associated bloodstream infections is possible across intensive care units in disparate settings using a multifaceted intervention.Infect.
