Abstract:
In this master thesis report, a scheme for adaptive hardware terrain tessellation is presented. The scheme uses an offline processing approach where a height map is analyzed in terms of curvature and the result is stored in a resource called density map. This density map is then bound as a resource to the hardware tessellation stage and used to bias the tessellation factor for a given edge. The scheme is implemented inside FrostbiteTM2 by EATM DICETM and produces good results while making the heightfield rendering more efficient. The performance gain can be used to increase the rendering detai

Abstract:
Accelerated carbonation involves exposing a material to a concentrated atmosphere of carbon dioxide, and can be used to treat hazardous wastes and soils and create new construction materials. The present work examines the use of accelerated carbonation to reduce the hazardous properties of wastes as a means of reducing the costs of disposal to landfill, and then develops the process to manufacture aggregate from the waste removing it from landfill disposal completely . A range of thermal wastes, including those from cement, metallurgical and paper processes, were found to be reactive with carb

Accelerated carbonation technology (ACT) could be used for the stabilisation of hazardous wastes, remediation of contaminated soils and re-use/recycling of various waste streams. Compared to ocean and geological storage, mineral and waste carbonation offer several advantages such as long-term storage and low monitoring requirements. This thesis presents a GPU accelerated method to compress light field or light field videos. The implementation is based on an earlier work of a full light field compression framework. The large amount of data storage by capturing light fields is a challenge to compress and we seek to accelerate the encoding part. We compress by projecting each data point onto a set of dictionaries and seek a sparse representation with the least error. An optimized greedy algorithm to suit computations on the GPU is presented. This usual process of aging is highly time consuming, hence there is a need for an alternative process for improvement of the baking quality of flour in a shorter period of time of storage. In this study, effect of accelerated aging of the freshly harvested grains on physico-chemical and thermal properties of the flour constituents has been studied. Abstract:
Startups need various resources to survive and scale, while large corporations have vast resources but search for innovations and take startups as a valuable source (Wymer and Regan, 2005). Corporate accelerators are an emerging trendy phenomenon that large organizations are adopting to collaborate with startups. Corporate accelerators take startups either from a specific industry or from all industries (Cohen and Hochberg, 2014), and achieve economic benefit either by financial returns or innovation integration (Deloitte, 2019). The types of partnerships between startups and large corporation

Open innovation is a term that has become popularised over the years, due to changes in how business is done as a result of globalisation and digital transformation. Efforts are being made by incumbent companies to collaborate with external parties to a greater extent, and at the same time, the startup landscape has contributed with new technologies and innovations that in some cases have disrupted markets. A collaboration between large companies and startups can bring about positive synergies since these two types of organisations are different and have the possibility to complement each othe
