In high impact human activities, much of the impact shock wave is dissipated through internal body structures, preventing excessive accelerations from reaching vital organs. In this thesis, the feasibility to use sodium cooled fast reactors loaded with MOX, metallic and nitride fuels for efficient transmutation of americium is investigated by performing transient analysis for cases with different americium contents in fuels, using safety parameters obtained with the SERPENT Monte Carlo code. Fusion reactions between 12C nuclei are among the most important in stellar evolution since they determine the destiny of massive stars (> 8 M). At thermonuclear energies (Ecm=1.5 ± 0.3 MeV), the 12C+12C reactions mainly proceed through 20Ne+α and 23Na+p channels. Since these energies are much lower than the height of the Coulomb barrier (Ecm= 6.1 MeV), the direct measurements of the 12C+12C reactions are very challenging because of the extremely small cross sections involved and the high beam-induced background originating from impurities in the targets. No presente trabalho medimos e analisamos distribuições angulares para o processo de espalhamento elástico do núcleo radioativo de 12B em alvo de 58Ni. As medidas foram realizadas nas energias de Elab=30.0 e 33.0 MeV no laboratório do acelerador Pelletron. Essas energias são próximas a barreira Coulombiana (VB=28.0 MeV) para esse sistema.
