This article discusses the structure of the automatic control system (ACS) for the speed of an electric train, supplemented by a low–pass filter - the Butterworth filter. The use of the filter is justified by the accepted model of the measuring path with a methodological measurement error equal to the quantization step. A comparative analysis of the simulation of the ACS operation by speed at different filter orders is carried out. It is shown that the best results are obtained using a 5th-order filter.

For deep and ultra-deepwater applications, synthetic fibre ropes are considered an enabling technology due to their higher strength-to-weight ratio as compared to steel wire ropes and chains and due to their superior station-keeping performance.
