Abstract:
Steel substrate was coated by Fe-Al2O3 composite using self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) reaction of reactant coating paste. The green composite paste were prepared by mixing of Fe2O3, Al and polyvinyl alcohol solution. It coated on the steel substrate. The effect of sustrate conditions on the Fe-Al2O3 composite coating were studied. The SHS reaction of the coated green composite was ignited by oxy-acethylene flame. The reaction between precursors happen step by step along the coated green composite length, to form Fe-Al2O3 composite coating on the steel plate. The Fe-Al2O3 composite coating was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) couple with dispersive X-ray (EDS)

Abstract:
Conventional coating tools have a high affinity for ductile materials, like aluminum alloy, so cutting chips tend to adhere to cutting edge and work material surface. Therefore, chipping is caused, and surface texture is degraded. In order to solve these problems, recently, DLC (Diamond-Like-Carbon) has been applied to coating material. In this research, it is curried out cutting of Aluminum alloy by the use of DLC coating tool, and examined influence of DLC coating conditions on cutting characteristics. So far we have been concerned with the effect of type of hydrocarbon gas (acethylene:C2H2, methane:CH4) on cutting. As a result, it is revealed that cohesion of chips decreases, and surface roughness of work material improves in the case of acethylene-DLC. On the other hand, internal stress is produced by deference in hardness between tool surface and DLC film, and which is considered cause of film peeling [1]. Therefore, we examined interlayer between DLC film and tool surface in order to relax of internal stress. As a result, it was cleared that Titanium interlayer excels in adhesion.

Abstract:
The thesis presents design, development and realization of laser system with stabilized optical frequency which could become the basis of an etalon of wavelength for the telecommunication band of the near-infrared spectral region. Semiconductor DFB laser diode is used as a tunable source of radiation with narrow linewidth. Its optimum operation is ensured by especially designed current and temperature controller. The laser is prestabilized using FM spectroscopy technique to the passive Fabry-Perot cavity. This fast feed-back loop is able to improve spectral characteristics of the laser. The center frequency of the F.-P. cavity - the laser optical frequency is locked by a slow second feed-back loop to the absorption spectral line of acetylene 13C2H2 gas. The slow control loop is based on the third derivative spectroscopy technique. Relative stability at the level of 10E-12 was achieved.
