На сьогодні існує безліч засобів для лікування опіків різної етіології, як природного, так і синтетичного походження, які мають вплив на різні етапи регенерації шкіри після опіку. Проте, застосування даних засобів при хімічних опіках має свої особливості, при цьому відсутні спеціальні засоби, направлені на нейтралізацію хімічного агента та усунення наслідків дії кислот чи лугів. В літературі є поодинокі дані щодо морфофункціональних змін регенерату шкіри при застосуванні різних засобів місцевого лікування хімічного опіку.
