Abstract:
Every state and the District of Columbia use voluntary acknowledgments of paternity. Created pursuant to federal law, the acknowledgment is signed by the purported biological parents and establishes paternity without requiring court involvement. Intended to be a “simple civil process” to establish paternity where the parents are unmarried, the acknowledgment is used by state governments to expedite child support litigation. But federal policy and state laws governing the acknowledgments do not sufficiently protect the interests of those men who have signed acknowledgments and who subsequently

Abstract:

Abstract:
The anthropocentric approach that characterizes all human knowledge has led to a distortion of the relationship with Nature and a view of it as a mere object of law. This approach, presumably originating with Socrates, had solid support in Plato, Aristotle, Ptolemy, and finally, in Catholic patristics, hinging on all disciplines starting from philosophy, psychology, economics, up to law. Dwelling on the latter, examples of legislation that qualify Nature as an object of law are, increasingly over time, the Forest Charter of 1217, the Italian Law No. 1766 of 1927 on civic uses, and furthermore

Abstract:
An eco-friendly dry tribo-electrostatic separation technique has been investigated to produce native plant-based protein concentrates from yellow pea flour using a lab-scale tribo-electrostatic separator. In this approach, a mixed-level full factorial (32 × 22) experiment was designed to evaluate the influence of process parameters on the protein content and protein separation efficiency of the resulted protein-enriched product. A multiple linear regression model was used to analyze the data along with optimizing the process with the objective of maximizing the protein separation efficiency w

Abstract: The paper examines correlations of architectural culture in Serbia with modern ideas of the twentieth century that were engendered through engagement with concepts originated by Le Corbusier. Based on analysis of primary sources, the paper examines the dichotomy vernacular – modern as a critical point of this correlation. For instance, what was the significance of vernacular or folklore heritage, that Charles-Édouard Jeanneret traced in Serbia in 1911, and how did its value became part of the foundational discourse of the modern movement? What kind of relation to Le Corbusier’s doctr
