Aboudou, Ahamada. "La formation des enseignants aux Comores : acquis, faiblesses et perspectives." Rouen, 2013. http://www.theses.fr/2013ROUEL017.
Full textIn spite of many devices of formation and reforms intended for the improvement of the quality of teaching in the Comoros, the trade of teaching and consequently the training of the teachers suffer from a lack of consideration. What is at the origin of discredit at the place of the activities of teaching and the formation to the trades of education? We seek to show that: the culture influences the individual behaviors (compared to oneself) and interindividual (compared to the others) with regard to the trade of teaching; There is a relation between the sociocultural, institutional environment and the insufficiency or the deficiencies observed on the level of the professionalisation of the teachers Since the teachers occupy a dominating place in the education of young people, we think that the training of the teachers is one of the best solutions to fight against the school failure

Full textThis research project to obtain a PhD is based a) on the one hand, on the observation of candidate performance applying for “non formal and informal learning recognition”. The expected competences are globally applied in ways of using appropriate language and presentation tools to present, negotiate, convince, stating point of view, ability to argument their cause, etc. B) on the other hand, the jury’s expectations, conduct of assessment and evaluation sessions, and selection of valid criteria are the second perspective. The analysis and interdependence of candidates’ performance and juries’ perception will allow to mirror the process which enables to deal with “formal & informal recognition” procedures and systems

Full textA large part of the content of most training programs il lost over time. According to Broad and Newstrom (1992) and Toupin (1995), new skills learned in the classroom largely disappear after a few years. Moreover, evaluation is more complex when training programs include development of cognitive strategies. We should identify the factors which inhibate or support the retention of these strategies and their transfer. The objective of this research is to evaluate the level of retention of learned strategies over several years by trainees who received a program aimed at developing programs solving skills. Measurements were taken at three different periods on 44 employees in 3 Canadian enterprises. At the end, trainees were compared to a control group composed of untrained employees within these organizations. Results show that, after 3 years, the subjects maintained 16% of the skills learned in the program compared to 33% acquired at the en of the training period. Results are discussed in terms of conditions that positively or negatively influence the retention of training subject matter
Prot, Bernard. "Le concept potentiel : une voie de développement des concepts. Le cas de la validation des acquis." Paris, CNAM, 2003. http://www.theses.fr/2003CNAM0449.
Full textBased on a French tradition in the field of the validation of acquired professional knowledge, this work psychologically investigates what could link knowledge acquired at work and benchmark concepts instilled by a referential certificate. A review of scientific resources in this domain is followed by a broadened discussion making best value of the Vygotskyan theory related to the development of concepts (1934/1997). The author supports the ide that a so-called “potential concept” bridges everyday and scientific concepts. This special hybrid-like conceptual form could result from the abstraction of a significant trait of everyday activity highlighted by the signification brought in by a scientific concept. The interlocutory analysis applied to exchanges tapped from validation sessions involving candidates and members of review panel or counsellors, and examined through the lens of a conversational pragmatic approach (Trognon & Kostulski, 1998), shed light on both inter-psychological and instrumental conditions that actually take part in the development of a potential concept. Results are discussed from a clinically based approach to the activity (Clot, 1999 ; Clot & Faïta 2000). The development of potential concept turns out to be the transformation of psychological function of concept, which gives access both to everyday and scientific concepts

Full textThe development of co-op training programmes might have fostered the belief the research simultaneously. The studies have systematically targeted specific academic subjects without any operational link to practical teaching methods. To check whether this type of training is appropriate, it is necessary to define a theorical model. This model is systemic and interdisciplinary. It must also be operational and therefore of a technological nature. The validation of knowledge gained through professional experience is essential. This validation relies on language to explain the skills acquired. Can the writing of a final report based on a professional experience reach this target ? However, the linguistic analysis of a series of final reports from one co-op engineering training programme has demonstrated that these documents do not fulfill such an expectation. Over and above his skill, this discussion has its natural place in the wider field of research concerning the development of tools to validate knowledge acquired through experience
Said, Farah Ifrah. "Quelle reconnaissance de l’expérience professionnelle au Centre de Formation Continue de l’Université de Djibouti ?" Thesis, Toulouse 2, 2012. http://www.theses.fr/2012TOU20038/document.
Full textThe activity of in-house training which professionalize and which is offered by the young university of Djibouti is enrolled in the context of a developing small country for whom that mission is not a priority. The wage-earling have to get a traditional academic training regardless of their professional experience.Based on the analysis of the French realities about the accreditation of prior learning, of the theoretical context which allows to question them on experience, knowledge, competences, validation, certification, evaluation - and the recognition horizon built by Alex Honneth, this research wonders about the possibility of initiating a recognition logic inside the university of Djibouti in order to make the academic knowledge and the professional experience dialogue and promote the training during a long period. The interviews done with teachers and wage-earling are made according to a qualifitative method, which promote experience story and reflexivity. They mean to up-date the real process existing between in-house training and the interactions between activity of teaching and training; and the combinations resulted by academic knowledge and professional experience of the two actors. New mixtures of knowledge have impacts on initial training and contribute to redefine the teaching professionally. The reflexivity of actors on these process leads to, beyond the certificates to a large recognition. It is a resource to amplify the co-learning between the actors around a uniting of academic knowledge and professional experience. Numerous possibilities show the aim to initiate recognition of the professional experience in university of Djibouti. This research is intended for teacher-researchers and for those who are looking for possible ways to enrich the conceptions of the training based on the experience, which doesn’t necessary need to have important means, particularly in Africa. It is intending also for pratician-researchers who may want to explore trails that we have seen just briefly, particularly on bonds between professional experience, cultural dimensions and languages implementation

Full textThis thesis analyses the individual pathways within the process of accreditation of prior experience (VAE), fighting inequalities of qualification access. This new right makes people responsible to put work experience to advantage, through getting qualification on the basis of work and individual experience, without education. But, to open up a new legal way doesn’t make this right a reality. The aim is to observe phenomena of differentiations relative to the display of the VAE. We have enrich ressourcist and utilitarist hypothesis, which have been derived from labour market theories (Human Capital and Signalling Theories). We ask the question of the real display of the individual right of VAE and the notion of experience. Consequently, from the Capability perspective, we built an original framework to understand in what extent individual pathways depend on personal, environmental and social factors, not only experience which is expressed in number of years, as a rule in the Human Capital and Signalling Theories. These environmental, social and individual conversion factors establish the display of individual resources and rights within the VAE process. This set forms an individual structure of constraints and opportunities and determines the individual pathways. The Experience is multidimensional and diffused through these elements. This model, based on a national survey, highlights existence of different types of individual logics of choices, which means different real possibilities of actions, more or less constricted, and underlines overestimated, underestimated and invisible inequalities
Kocanova, Daniela. "La reconnaissance des acquis de l'expérience dans l'enseignement supérieur : déclinaisons nationales et locales d'une thématique promue par la coopération européenne (Angleterre, Belgique francophone et France)." Full textThe recognition of prior experiential learning refers to arrangements that aim to identify and valorise learning outcomes achieved outside education and training institutions. At present, such arrangements exist or are being introduced in a number of countries, and are also promoted in the framework of European cooperation in education and training. However, the recognition of prior experiential learning does not always apply to all sectors of education and training, its implementation being particularly challenging in the higher education sector. Starting from these elements, this research looks at three higher education systems considered relatively advanced in this field: England, French-speaking Belgium and France. By researching the institutionalisation and implementation of the recognition of prior experiential learning in the aforementioned systems, the study raises the question of whether, under the influence of supranational processes, approaches to the recognition of prior experiential learning converge towards the same model. A three-point perspective is adopted to explore this issue. First, the research examines the role of European cooperation in the development of national arrangements for the recognition of prior experiential learning. Second, the study looks at the evolution of the recognition of prior experiential learning in the investigated systems. Finally, the analysis considers how the recognition of prior experiential learning is being implemented in higher education institutions, in this case, universities. The investigation related to the first two areas mainly relies on the collection and analysis of written sources, including regulations, official guidelines, analysis reports and research. The institutional analysis focuses on a sample of three to four universities in each studied system, and is based on site visits, interviews with actors involved in the recognition of prior experiential learning and the information disseminated by universities. Research shows that the development of arrangements for the recognition of prior experiential learning is influenced by a number of factors, including the organisation and structure of higher education systems, the perception of the role of higher education, as well as the presence of individual and collective actors able to promote these arrangements. Thus, European activities in the area of the recognition of prior experiential learning appear as a general frame of reference that translates into different arrangements in each higher education system

Full textThe study of the challenges and stakes relating to the implementation of the recognition and the validation of informal and non formal learning relates to the representations and the behaviors which are expressed as well through the speeches argumentatives than the intrigues as they are of individual or institutional nature. However, several systems of representations and positioning interpenetrate according to a typology of the actors met in the training companies and certification, even of work. This interaction is as much the fruit of negotiations as of social transactions which are nourished mutually insofar as the level of reflexivity of the actors enables them to weave bonds between course of validation and lifelong learning. On a European and international scale, the universality of the character of recognition and validation of the informal and non formal learning is put to the test of intercultural, fruit of meetings between injunctions and adaptations

Full textFor 25 years, national assessments show recurring findings on what students have acquired or not in mathematics at the end of primary school. One may wonder about the contributions of these outcomes for teaching, and their potential impact on the practices of teachers in grade 6. This led us to formulate hypotheses on the origin of these findings and develop an experimental teacher training scheme called "PACEM" in which standardized assessments have dual status as information carriers as well as training tools. Then we set up a special training scheme which explicitly aims to improve the acquired skills of students whose teachers have been trained in the field of numbers and arithmetic at the outset of lower secondary school. This thesis aims to describe and analyze the whole process from the perspective of the researcher. After questioning what standardized national assessments can provide in the studied area, we use the theory of activity and didactical tools in mathematics education that we adapt (Robert & Rogalski, 2002) to make a number of assumptions about teacher training and mental calculation to develop with grade 6 students. In a third step, we explore how the experimental design was implemented in distancing ourselves from our activity as designer and tramer. Finally, through a specific assessment protocol, we analyze the results of the experiment, positive in many ways, by comparing the results of the students involved and student control groups

Full textEvery individual has benefitted from some kind of experience (professional or personal). The question is what does one draw from experience ? The Accreditation of previous learning proposes an approach that evaluates this previous experience using a set of historic, legal and philosophical markers. Within the Accreditation of previous learning framework, it is possible to assess the validity and the legitimacy of an action plan concerning professional practices. My dissertation applies this approach to the social and medical-social sector. The Accreditation of previous learning could be considered as a relatively recent training system which could eventually influence other types of training courses and the actors involved in them. The main objective of this qualitative and empirical study is to highlight the effects of the Accreditation of previous learning plan on the candidates as well as on other actors. I analysed the data recorded in the logbook during in situ observation, and the result of twenty semi-directive interviews. The research results show the necessity of designing social and medical-social work, from the perspective of a process of inevitable change, taking place in the candidate’s for the Accreditation of previous learning, and of modifying the way social and medical-social institutions work as well as the way actors participate in them

Full textImmigration of professionals in occupations with labour shortages is an important part of Canada's social and economic development strategies, but concerns about quality have created barriers to recognition. This is an interpretive, instrumental case study of participant perspectives on quality in prior learning assessment and recognition (PLAR) for internationally educated nurses seeking registration in the province of Ontario, Canada. A theoretical framework comprised of four complementary theoretical perspectives is used as a lens trough wich to examine the research issue. Document analysis and semi-structured interviews were used to collect data. The results reveal complex relations within and across the education and the nursing profession's communities of practice that operate as vehicles for negotiating shared understandings and power. This thesis argues that quality is a socially constructed concept that requires the active engagement ok key communities for development of quality indicators. Using Baartman et al. 's (2007) quality criteria for competency-based assessment as a framework for negotiating the meaning of quality in PLAR is a reasonable strategy for the nursing community to explore

Full textAt the interface of the work, vocational training, and guidance for professional career paths, the guidance practices for Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) are based on an activity whose properties have been gradually formalized and developed, since the introduction of the legislative framework in 2002, thanks to the actors of the field themselves. While discussions are now committed at the university to create pathways to certification, such as to permit access to the profession, we believe that a thorough research on the work activity of guidance practices in Accreditation of Prior Learning may contribute to the design of training devices addressed to advisers in order to assist candidates in their preparation. Based on ethnographic observations conducted in a training organization in the field of Social Work, our data consists of audio recordings of guidance interviews between advisers and candidates. Firstly, the research focused on discourses of experience produced by candidates and advisers. We analyzed them separately from interactional context in which they are produced. From a textual, discursive and enunciative perspective, we are interested in the characteristics of the discourses of experience to understand the activity they involve from the point of view of the actors, the experiences they summon, and the fictional activity areas’ emergence (the space of educational work, the space of writing activity the APL file, the jury APL space). Then, the research focused on interactions between advisers and candidates in guidance interviews, in order to understand how the dialogical activity they underlie, contributes to the development of the candidate’s discourse of experience about his work. An analysis of the trajectories of the actors engaging in the activity shows that different dialogic configurations (educator / educator; adviser / candidate; appraiser / appraisee) take place during the dialogue between the adviser and the candidate, which are like a support for the development of candidate’s thought and discourse about his work. These dialogic configurations are manifested by voices staging that summon past experiences, expected or imagined, associated with fictional activity areas separated from the guidance situation. Because they allow the candidate to engage in fictitious dialogues by reconfiguring the places taken in the relationship, these dialogic configurations give access to interpretative movements in thought and speech of the candidate's activity, and they enable a transformation of the point of view focused on the professional activity

Full textThe Validation of the Experience Gained (V.E.G) is a device issued from the social modernization Law of 2002 and strengthened in 2017 under the Labour Act. Its origins being presuted, and in particular the dechine of a socio-economic context on the decline, we will define the rules of this process. This is the fourth way of graduation in France under special attention from the French Educational system. This is assimilated to an assessment, hence the question of whether the latter could actually be considered as an evaluation device. With regard to the determination of the components of Evaluation and the V.E.G, can we envisage that there is a possible parallel between assessment and knowledge and on the other hand experience and re-understanding

Full textThis thesis is interested in engaging in a process of VAE subjects belonging to the professional group of community workers. Professionalism demands that circulate in institutions significantly strengthen professional logics. New contributions in this area seem to be useful to feed all the knowledge that the report to training is a privileged observation position of articulation and negotiation between identity dynamics of a subject on the one hand and the institutional logic, on the other. The development of business of animation, itself linked to the profound changes at work in society, strengthens rhetoric of professionalization. This move is part of a social context characterized by convergent transformations work / training bringing a new design professional: autonomous, responsible and adaptable. However, knowledge and values gained and the production of a professional ethos participate in the construction of identity representations, professional cultures and promote socialization. The subjective meaning of professionalization is thus about mobilizing subjective resources for the development of his experience while integrating objective constraints. The choice of VAE as an object of analysis is in this dual perspective. It is a unique experience in that it places the subject in the center of the process. If this new modality graduation brings new rights, it introduces at the same time teaching paradigms centered on the individualization of course but also a request for recognition. The question that is central to this research is how the subjects are building their experience, as an experience of experience. The report to training is not only anchored in a process of acquiring knowledge, but in the ability of the subjects to control their subsequent learning experiences. These are construction of the subjective side of the educational system, appear in identity dynamics and combine the institutional logic that subjects must articulate them : adherence to established educational standards , construction strategies , mastery subjective elements who wear them. It is this "experience" that this research is interested in understanding whether respondents’ subjects have the ability to build and manage all the dimensions of a learning experience, which variously grade according to their position in the educational system and in social situations that characterize them. This work is not only realizes the sole educational report, it commits the relational sphere but also anchoring in a professional identity and position in the the organization of work.Articulating inductively analyzing interviews from a survey of 42 community workers, with other elements observed in the course of VAE, logic in play and the process of developing an interpretation the situation were located in each subject. Similarly, the type of report to training binder construction experience and interaction withe educational system was highlighted. These lead to three typical forms of identity that designate the modes of integration in the educational system and the dynamic linking compared to the past trajectory, experienced training and anticipation of the future. If the evidence collected reflects the heterogeneity and complexity of the universe of training, identity forms identified here are by no means to be considered as an inventory of new social categories from which it is possible to prioritize, group and objectively identify the subjects in formation. Other joints are explored

Full textOff the beaten track, under the singular perspective of the "in-between", the present thesis seeks precisely to understand the development of Algerian educational policy and higher education, between autonomy and dependence (in-between) relative to external injunctions. It discusses how higher education has been built through its history, discussing the weight of the past over the present by identifying influences from regimes, events and components from Middle Eastern countries, France and Russia, having, ultimately, marked the Algerian educational policy that has failed to find its anchor and is therefore always looking for benchmarks to the detriment of the overall quality of education in Algeria. While the colonial period is behind us, there is still in Algerian society a feeling of dependence on the metropolis and its many practices, reminiscent of a past difficult to forget. The practice of French on the territory and in the teaching environment (in particular) plays a key role in this state of affairs. The past is therefore firmly rooted in people's minds, although there is a strong emancipatory will of individuals who are searching for their roots and an Algerian modernity. And, we should also note that the Algerian society is plural in many ways. At the social, cultural, but also political levels, it is characterized by multiple influences, the most prominent of which are Maghrebi, Oriental and French. This plurality has made it difficult for successive regimes to position themselves singularly in many sectors of activity, often promoting inadequate projects.References to the past in the field of education have a great influence on the actions taken, sometimes to the detriment of very complex truths of the Algerian case. This higher education, in a plural Algeria, thus also suffers from an "in-between" at the political, institutional and individual levels (those who make the laws, those who put them in place and those who work with them on a daily basis). In other words, these three levels seem to be frozen between a will and an important need for autonomy and a dependence that can be perceived as legitimate.Under the prism of the continuous training and the validation of acquired experience (VAE), two objects of current debates in the Algerian society, I will tackle the difficulties met in the deployment, the management and the organization of training devices in the country. However, it is not a matter of simply dealing with the continuous training of teachers, based on their testimony (collected during my research), but using it as social agents and markers of a history expressing relationship between the political, the institutional and the individual. It is also a question of highlighting how the influences coming from elsewhere are implemented by these three levels. To do this, a qualitative survey conducted on the basis of in-depth semi-structured interviews, an original approach using the biographical current, allowed me to collect testimonies essential to our understanding of the phenomenon treated in my thesis. Not to mention the quantitative approach, useful for the preparation of my research upstream, this survey was conducted with 63 people from different backgrounds and thus bringing to our study the necessary depth."In-Between", Higher Education, Educational Policy, Algeria, France, Continuing Education, VAE, Temporality

Full textThis research interrogates expertise developed by the teachers of the secondary schools in and through the practice of their teaching. It adopts a cognitive definition of expertise that considere problems solving as its indicator and well as the principal processus of its development implying the mediation of the socio-professional context. The protocol presents in writing, three class situations where incidents occur. The 108 participants trained on teaching or not, have between 0 and 240 months of experience in the teaching. They gave in writing, their diagnosis of the situations and their solutions to the problems that they discerned. The results show that the most experienced teachers' representations of situations have some common aspects and that the solutions from the most experienced teachers are in consistency with their representations. We find that teachers who have between 0 and 5 years of experience are bound to superficial aspects of the situations and that the solutions from them are incoherent with their representations. These results are already known in research. In the last group, those who were trained express diagnoses and solutions sometimes recalling those of the most experienced ones To determine how training and experience influence diagnoses of the situations and the proposals of solutions, six independent variables have been estimated. The best models have very weak explanatory power, but this research revealed their meaningful impact on some modalities of the diagnosis and solutions proposed from 5 out the 6 explanatory variables

Full textLifelong learning including early childhood, primary, secondary, vocational training, higher education and adult education has become a priority for the UN (ODD 2030, number 4) and for the EU (the driving force behind the 2020 Strategy). The Commission is considering a European Area of Education, with the success of the European Higher Education Area and the European Research Area. The EU has made mobility its goal and the Erasmus + program for thirty years has benefited more than 9 million people. However, what are the rights in the field of education for: students, parents, trainees, and directors of public and private educational institutions, teachers, and other stakeholders of civil society (associations, foundations, companies)? From a legal point of view, EU States must follow the obligations following from the UDHR, the Covenants, the CRC, UNESCO, ILO, WTO, UNICEF, among others. States must meet these obligations among the Universal Periodic Review, and follow the recommendations of the Special Rapporteur on the Right to Education. The « acquis communautaire » is shaping the right to education. Among the rights analyzed we find: rights of free movement of persons, services and establishment, workers, non-discrimination on grounds of nationality, and gender equality among others. After the analysis of the international aspect, the European aspect and the human rights aspect (application of the EU Charter of fundamental rights and the ECHR and its jurisprudence), EU citizens have a right to education in the EU as human right «sui generis»

Full textThe aim of this dissertation was to identify cognitive and behavioral patterns enabling or hindering the return to vocational training of patients in post-acute stages of an acquired brain injury (ABI). Thus, the focus was on the functional aspects due to the ABI that would or would not allow an effective return to vocational training. First, we conducted a systematic review in order to identify, in the post-acute stages of an ABI, cognitive and behavioral factors involved in the vocational rehabilitation of patients suffering from a traumatic ABI. Then, we tested the specificity of two neuropsychological tools to asses cognitive and behavioral sequelae in patients with ABI, before testing their predictive power. Finally, we adopted a retrospective and a prospective methodology, relying on machine learning algorithms, to study the link between cognitive and behavioral performance evaluated at the beginning of a vocational rehabilitation program and the probability to succeed or fail a vocational training after an ABI. These studies allowed us to identify, from a theoretical perspective, cognitive models explaining the success and failure of a vocational training in patients with ABI. From a clinical perspective, these models would enable clinicians to adapt neuropsychological practice to this specific population relying on objective factors that would improve their vocational guidance

More specifically, we insert this work in the field of research on teachers' professional knowledge and, more broadly, within the concept of the professionalization of teaching. The study of teachers' knowledge about students, which until now has been little studied or not very detailed, allows us to address the way in which today's teachers adapt and modify their practices in relation to the students in their classrooms. To do so, we study teachers' knowledge about students in three dimensions. First, we try to better understand the nature of this type of knowledge. According to Anderson and al. (2001), there are three main types of knowledge: factual knowledge, conceptual knowledge and procedural knowledge. In our theoretical framework, we detail these three types of knowledge. Next, we question the source of knowledge about students. According to several authors, notably Shulman (1987), whose work on the knowledge base for teaching was seminal, supports the idea that it is practical experience that most trains teachers. However, considering that pre-service teacher education also transmits a great deal of knowledge through the four years of the program, we try to gain a better understanding of where the student's knowledge comes from. Then, we look at how knowledge about students is mobilized in teachers » practices. Indeed, we believe that our doctoral project would not be complete without trying to better define the mobilization of this knowledge in the daily activities of the teacher with these students. Therefore, we describe the different actions of the teacher that are influenced or modulated according to the knowledge he has about his students. Based on the thematic analysis of semi-structured interview (n=25) and four focus group, we believe that we can draw a portrait of the knowledge about students. The interviewed teacher’s all have between 3 and 8 years of teaching experience and work mainly in the Greater Montreal area. They are teachers in preschool and elementary school, secondary school, physical and health education (PHE), special education and general adult education. 8 Our results show that teachers have different type of knowledge about their students, that their knowledge varies according to the subject matter and cycle of teaching, that they learn on them through experience and that they use their knowledge about students in many actions and decision every day. At the end, we will see that it is not easy to define this type of knowledge and to understand how teachers take it into account in their teaching. However, we believe that our study leads to important clarifications in the way teachers' professional knowledge is conceived, has strong implications for teacher education, and leads to a more accurate understanding of teachers work with students.
