Thus, this cross-sectional study aimed to determine (1) the prevalence of regular PA among college students in a Philippine setting and (2) the reasons for either adherence to PA or for being inactive, (3) to describe DH of the students, (4) to compare PA involvement and DH across year levels, and (5) to correlate PA and diet behaviors. Data were collected using a self-administered survey questionnaire. Results showed that only 32.8% of the 1,706 students in this stud

Abstract:
Padel is a complex sport within which performance relies on the interrelation of multiple factors such as physiological and physical capacities, psychological skills, and tactical and technical knowledge. Padel match involves intermittent whole-body efforts, evidenced by a large number of strokes and repeated high-intensity running actions such as accelerations, decelerations and changes of direction. Due to its recent creation, little is known about the activity and energy demands of padel match play. The purpose of the present study was to systematically review physiological demands of padel

Abstract:
The aim of the study was to study acute toxicity in different methods of administration in mice and rats of a new antitumor preparation "colchametin" (K-2) and its antitumor activity on 2 strains of tumors Material and research methods. Acute toxicity of the preparation K-2 with a single intraperitoneal administration was carried out according to the Litchfield and Wilcoxon method in 60 white infertile mice weighing 202g. both sexes and 60 male and female rats weighing 14010g 5 animals in each group, a total of 120 mice and rats were used. The study of antithumor activity was performed on 12

Abstract:
To determine whether a K+-sensor mechanism exists in the hepatoportal region, periarterial hepatic afferent nerve activity responses to intraportal injection of KCl were examined in anesthetized rats. Hepatic afferent nerve activity increased in response to intraportal injection in a K+ concentration-dependent manner, and the increase was attenuated by inhibition of the Na+-K+-2Cl− cotransporter by bumetanide in a dose-dependent manner. These results suggest that a bumetanide-sensitive K+-sensor mechanism exists in the hepatoportal region. Stimulation of this mechanism by intraportal KCl infus

Abstract:
This study sought to establish the presence of K(+)-activated adenosinetriphosphatase (ATPase) activity in the colonic mucosa of the rat distal colon. K(+)-activated ATPase activity was present in apical membranes but not in basolateral membranes. K(+)-activated ATPase activity in apical membranes represented an approximate 10-fold enrichment compared with that in the homogenate. Na(+)-K(+)-activated ATPase activity was also present in homogenate but was enriched less than fourfold in apical membranes. K(+)-activated ATPase activity in apical membranes had both ouabain-sensitive and ouabain-in
