Abstract:
In recent years, eighteenth-century actors' portraits have deservedly received growing attention from both art and theatre historians. For its extent, variety and quality, for its social and aesthetic implications, eighteenth-century theatrical portraiture demands a refined theoretical approach: it has helped to create an interdisciplinary field where new methods in dealing with theatre iconography have been profitably deployed. English and American scholars have contributed to develop this field in a specific way, devoting single studies and monographs to portraits of actors. In spite of the

Abstract The present essay focuses on the portrait gallery housed in the sala de cabildos of Old San Juan’s city hall during the nineteenth century. Because this was the room in which the city council met, it became a symbolically charged space that acted as a locus of local civic pride. Two impressive full-length portraits of governors of the island stood out within the gallery: the Portrait of Ramón de Castro by local painter José Campeche (1751–1809) and the Portrait of Miguel de la Torre by Eliab Metcalf (1785–1834), a painter born in Massachusetts who sojourned in the island. Abstract:
Abstract Determining the production from each well is crucial for financial and technical purposes. Moreover, this production can be anticipated using several different techniques. This paper describes the procedures to calculate the production allocated to each well in a giant gas-producing field by utilizing physics-based models that are orchestrated in a dynamic digital platform to provide a robust and efficient solution. The cases for this study of allocating gas rates to individual wells were performed using a digital platform as the primary tool utilized to account for the main productio

Abstract:
Abstract The balance between growing energy demands and global climate targets is a delicate one to maintain. The need for limiting its environmental impact has become evident to the Energy Sector, dictating higher transparency and granularity of the emissions data from operated and non-operated assets. Specifically, in the European Union, an upcoming regulation targets the reporting of methane emissions and their reduction, bringing operators to a critical crossroad, and calling for drastic reforms and actions. For satisfying the ultimate global request for reduction of methane emissions, as

Abstract:
Virtually all Latin American and Caribbean countries have established specialized organizations to promote their exports. Existing analyses of these organizations are at best partial and fragmentary. This paper aims at overcoming these limitations of the literature by presenting a consistent, detailed organizational characterization of the major export promotion entities in their respective countries. This characterization is primarily based on data collected through an extensive survey that we have conducted among organizations in the region, and, to put them into an appropriate perspective,
