Abstract:
In recent years, there has been a tendency to increase the number of acute myocardial infarctions (AMI) in young people. The search and study of risk factors (FR), pathogenetic mechanisms of cardiovascular complications (CVD) and methods of targeted exposure continues. One of the mechanisms of MTR is the pathology of the hemostasis system-. vascular-platelet (microvesicles), coagulation hemostasis (thrombin, tissue factor\tissue factor inhibitor) and fibrinolysis systems (coagulation factor II and XIII), an imbalance of which can lead to vascular catastrophes. In recent decades, microvesicles o

Upper extremity acute limb ischemia (ALI) is a limb-threatening and potentially lethal pathology that is most commonly caused by vascular embolization. Outcomes of limb ischemia are time-sensitive due to the correlation between a longer time from symptom onset to intervention with a vastly higher risk of amputation. In this report, point of care ultrasound (POCUS) was utilized to rapidly diagnose a patient with a proximal right brachial artery embolic occlusion, prompting expedited surgical consultation and successful embolectomy. SummaryMacrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) is a pleiotropic cytokine with chemokine-like functions. MIF is a critical mediator of the host immune and inflammatory response. Dysregulated MIF expression has been demonstrated to contribute to various acute and chronic inflammatory conditions as well as cancer development. More recently, MIF has been identified as an important pro-atherogenic factor. Its blockade could even aid plaque regression in advanced atherosclerosis. Promotion of atherogenic leukocyte recruitment processes has been recognised as a major underlying mechanism of MIF

The brain is critically dependent on its blood flow for a continuous supply of oxygen and glucose. Energy depletion has fundamental importance in the genesis of subsequent injurious events. Loss of ATP rapidly leads to a massive calcium influx and release of calcium from intracellular compartments. Extracellular concentrations of glutamate are markedly elevated in i

Considering the variety of manifestations of post-covid pathology, the main blocks of systemic, cellular and molecular dysregulations are distinguished. As the main reasons, the following are considered: the consequences of systemic and organ damage in the acute phase of COVID-19, the persistent activity of “hidden” pathogens and the altered status of the patient’s protective immune systems. Arterial dissection is a well-recognized pathology often seen in Vascular Surgery offices and Emergency Departments alike; however, visceral arterial dissection is an extremely rare, small subset of this entity. With that, an isolated celiac artery dissection as presented within this report is an exceptionally unique pathology that has scarcely been reported, and due to this, management guidelines are undefined. Given the viscera supplied by the celiac artery, many intra-abdominal structures are at risk for ischemia when damage to the celiac artery occurs, potentially witnessed by this report.

In surviving animals, symptoms were reversible even if treatment was continued.

Coronary artery aneurysms are rare complications following stenting and were reported with drug-eluting as well as bare metal stents. They can be asymptomatic or present as acute coronary syndromes and usually detected during coronary angiography. The mechanisms responsible can be vascular trauma, hypersensitivity to drug, polymer, or metal. Rarely, it can be due to acute bacterial infections resulting in mycotic aneurysms. Management depends on symptoms, presentation, and underlying pathology and has to be tailored on a case-to-case basis.
