Abstract:
Adaptive peculiarities of women who are going to become surrogate mothers have been studied. Data about their personal adaptive potential, behaviour regulation, communicative potential, moral standards as well as a basic personal set of symptoms were compared with characteristics of women who refused to participate in the programs of surrogate mothering (N = 88). The results confirmed the hypothesis about higher adaptive capability (behavioural regulation and communicative potential) and lesser level of hypochondria, anxiety, individualistic potential of surrogate mothers.

Sometimes, this match means pursuing a lifelong passion, but other times, it means giving up that passion or transforming it into a passion that works in the broader context of the life one seeks for oneself. Abstract:
MUVA is a social incubator dedicated to developing innovative approaches to the economic empowerment of women in Mozambique. This paper documents experiences from two MUVA projects supporting women’s economic empowerment through entrepreneurship, and draws out broader insights and principles of relevance to other similar programmes. Barriers to women’s economic empowerment and strategies to overcome these barriers are both individual and systemic, visible and invisible. MUVA’s approach to supporting women’s economic empowerment through entrepreneurship involves tailoring three core elements to

Abstract:
The rapid evidence review on "Adaptive Programming for Anti-Corruption Initiatives" explores the potential of adaptive programming (AP) to address entrenched political corruption in low- and middle-income countries. Despite limited quantitative studies and challenges in measuring outcomes, AP shows promise by being adaptable, politically smart, and locally driven. The review highlights the need for more empirical data and case studies to validate AP's effectiveness in overcoming traditional anti-corruption program limitations, emphasising transparency, accountability, and stakeholder engagemen

Under the current legal paradigm, the rights to privacy and data protection provide natural persons with subjective rights to protect their private interests, such as related to human dignity, individual autonomy and personal freedom. In principle, when data processing is based on non-personal or aggregated data or when such data pro- cesses have an impact on societal, rather than individual interests, citizens cannot rely on these rights. Although this legal paradigm has worked well for decades, it is increasingly put under pressure because Big Data processes are typically based indis- crimin

Abstract:
Adaptive Social Protection (ASP) as discussed in this report is an approach to enhance the well-being of communities at risk. As an integrated approach, ASP builds on the interface of Disaster Risk Management (DRM), Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) and Social Protection (SP) to address interconnected risks by building resilience, thereby overcoming the shortcomings of traditionally sectoral approaches. The design of meaningful ASP measures needs to be informed by specific information on risk, risk drivers and impacts on communities at risk. In contrast, a limited understanding of risk and its d
