The possibilities of improving starch/water batter foam properties by additions of inorganic and organic compounds, waste sawdust and waste paper pulp were investigated. The most suitable ratio between starch and water was set to 2:3. The best results were obtained when calcium stearate was added to the starch/water tray because it filled the matrix of the tray and improved the surface. The addition of calcium stearate and a low amount of waste paper pulp and/or waste sawdust also brought good results. Higher amounts of waste sawdust and calcium stearate did not produce the compact and smooth

Abstract:
Flotation is an important and versatile mineral processing technique that is used to separate hydrophobic materials from hydrophilic. This technique makes it possible to mine complex ores that otherwise would have been regarded as uneconomic and non-beneficial. In this case flotation is used to separate copper from the unwanted gangue. The addition of lime is used to control the pH level in the flotation’s pulp, which governs the selectivity of the process, i.e. which minerals are recovered. Currently, fluctuating concentration grades of the produced metals have been observed in Boliden Aitik.

Abstract:
This seminar, taught by Dr. Mike Crowson, is designed to introduce students and researchers to the basics of linear regression analysis using SPSS, including automated moderation analysis (interaction effect tests) using the PROCESS macro. The seminar is designed for anyone who wishes to better understand linear regression concepts and assumptions and how to perform regression analyses involving both quantitative and qualitative predictors with moderation effects. In addition to developing practical skills setting up regression models, testing hypotheses, and generating results, a central focu

Abstract:
This project focused on the evaluation of the influence of nanoadditives on the hydration kinetics, mechanical properties, and durability of concretes with and without supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs). The types of nanomaterials used in the course of this study included nano-titanium dioxide (nano-TiO2) and two forms of nanosilica. A series of experimental tasks, including fabrication, curing, and conditioning of specimens, microstructure analysis, mechanical strength testing, and durability testing were conducted in the laboratory. Based on experimental results, it can be concluded

The increasing prevalence of bio-based and biodegradable plastics as an alternative to traditional plastics derived from crude oil is a noteworthy trend. Polybutylene succinate (PBS), a plastic produced from succinic acid, is among the promising materials for the future. However, the production of bio-based succinic acid through biotechnical processes in controlled environments presents challenges. This process leads to increased costs and is currently not economically competitive compared to crude oil-based succinic acid production. In addition to succinic acid, levulinic acid is another mono

Abstract:
The Global Ocean Data Analysis Project (GLODAP) is a synthesis effort that provides high-quality, quality-controlled ocean biogeochemical bottle data with annual-updates, playing a crucial role in advancing our understanding of the Earth's oceans and their complex biogeochemical processes. This deliverable covers the GLODAP annual updates under the EuroSea funding, as well as the automatization of the quality control process of the data. Under the EuroSea funding, GLODAP has received three updates (GLODAPv2.2020, GLODAPv2.2021 and GLODAPv2.2022) with a total number of 245 cruises added, and in
