Abstract:
Endometroid carcinoma accounts for 10% of the ovarian cancer and it’s the second most common type of epithelial ovarian cancer. We hereby present a rare case of giant abdominopelvic mass that occurred in a 41 year old multiparous lady with retinitis pigmentosa which was assessed by ultrasound and Computed tomography. She underwent primary cytoreductive surgery with frozen section with bilateral pelvic lymph node dissection with infracolic omentectomy. In histopathology diagnosis of ovarian cancer with endometroid pattern was made. Diagnosis play an important role in detection, staging an

Abstract Metastatic papillary adenocarcinomas of the ovary are rare compared to primary ovarian papillary serous carcinomas. We report a case of pulmonary papillary adenocarcinoma metastatic to the ovary and show how this tumor can be differentiated immunohistochemically from an ovarian primary. Paraffin blocks of the ovarian tumor were analyzed for carcinoembryonic antigen, CA 125, surfactant, E-cadherin, N-cadherin, and vimentin. These markers are useful in differentiating epithelial tumors of lung versus ovarian origin. The papillary tumor showed expression of carcinoembryonic antigen, surf

The use of HT in postmenopausal cancer survivors is controversial, particularly for those women having survived hormone-dependent tumors, like breast or gynecological cancers. Endometrial cancer is the most frequent gynecological cancer. The limited data of the literature on women having suffered from endometrial cancer do not show an increased recurrence or death with HT use, but guidelines do not yet indicate the generalized use of HT in these women. Cervical cancer is the most common gynaecological malignancy worldwide. The most common type of cervical carcinoma is squamous cell carcinoma followed by adenocarcinoma of cervix, which constitutes only 15% of cases. Adenocarcinoma of cervix can be categorized histologically into clear cell, mucinous, endometrioid, serous and mesonephric subtypes. Clear cell adenocarcinoma (CCA) most commonly occurs in the ovary, followed by endometrium, vagina, and cervix. Primary CCA of cervix is a rare neoplastic entity, which occurs in young women exposed to diethylstilbestrol (DES) in utero. It is extreme
