Summary. The etiology of the development of adhesive disease — the most common postoperative complication — can be determined by epigenomic disorders related to various links of resistance and immunogenetic control.
Purpose of the study. To study the epigenomic factors in the development of adhesive disease, the immune status of patients operated on in the abdominal cavity was studied. The comparison group included 55 patients with a complicated course of peritoneal commissural disease, the main group consisted of 59 patients operated on on the abdominal organs on the background of perit

The article presents a review of the literature in recent years on the problem of peritoneal pelvic adhesions in women of reproductive age. The main issues of etiology and pathogenesis of peritoneal pelvic adhesions as one of the leading causes of reproductive dysfunction, chronic pelvic pain and surgical complications in patients of reproductive age are highlighted. It has been shown that the main etiological preconditions for formation of adhesions and the development of adhesive intestinal obstruction are a peritoneal injury, intraabdominal bleeding, presence of infection, influence of vari

Background: Endometriosis is a chronic inflammatory oestrogen-dependent disease. It is characterised by elevated inflammatory markers in the peritoneal milieu with subsequent adhesiogenesis. Nowadays, excisional, and ablative surgeries are considered the main treatment of endometriosis, and adhesiolysis is being performed almost routinely during these procedures. Postoperative adhesion formation is a significant concern for many surgeons, especially as endometriosis patients are assumed to be predisposed to adhesiogenesis. In order to minimise adhesiogenesis after endometriosis surgery, the us

The authors studied one of the pathogenetic factors of adhesive disease in 53 sick children, susceptibility to adhesive disease, and measures to prevent early adhesion formation. The susceptibility to conjunctivitis is observed in 50% of patients and is determined by an increase in the concentration of fibrinogen in the blood and a decrease in fibrinolysis. Accordingly, mitigation measures were taken and the possibility of early prevention of congestion was studied.

The most important problem determining the indications for surgical treatment of peritoneal adhesion is associated with the uncertainty of the criteria for early diagnosis of intestinal obstruction. Of all the most common acute surgical diseases of the abdominal cavity, acute intestinal obstruction gives the highest lethality. The main reason for this is untimely diagnosis. In two groups of patients, we performed a study of chronic peritoneal peritoneal disease using X-ray computed tomography (RCT), with obstruction (58 patients) and absence of this pathology (56 patients). Although being part of the body’s healing process, it is estimated that intra-abdominal adhesions are developed in 90–95% of patients. Abstract Adhesions remain one of the more challenging issues in surgical practice. This is in part due to the fact that the density of their formation, time interval to subsequent development of symptoms, and severity of clinical presentation are variable. Although the majority of adhesions are clinically silent, the consequences of adhesion formation can represent a life-long problem including chronic abdominal pain, recurrent intestinal obstruction, and infertility. Moreover, adhesive disease can become a chronic medical condition with significant morbidity and without effective therapy. The

Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP) is the etiological agent of a severe inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in ruminants, known as Johne’s disease or paratuberculosis. Johne’s disease is considered to be one of the most serious diseases affecting dairy cattle both in Israel and worldwide. Heavy economic losses are incurred by dairy farmers due to the severe effect of subclinical infection on milk production, fertility, lower disease resistance and early culling. Its influence in the United States alone is staggering, causing an estimated loss of $1.5 billion to the agriculture indu
