"Drug-Induced Liver Injury in Children: Clinical Observations, Animal Models, and Regulatory Status." Abstract:
Drug-induced liver injury in children (cDILI) accounts for about 1% of all reported adverse drug reactions throughout all age groups, less than 10% of all clinical DILI cases, and around 20% of all acute liver failure cases in children. The overall DILI susceptibility in children has been assumed to be lower than in adults. Nevertheless, controversial evidence is emerging about children’s sensitivity to DILI, with children’s relative susceptibility to DILI appearing to be highly drug-specific. The culprit drugs in cDILI are similar but not identical to DILI in adults (aDILI). This is demonstrated by recent findings that a drug frequently associated with aDILI (amoxicillin/clavulanate) was rarely associated with cDILI and that the drug basiliximab caused only cDILI but not aDILI. The fatality in reported cDILI studies ranged from 4% to 31%. According to the US Food and Drug Administration–approved drugs labels, valproic acid, dactinomycin, and ampicillin appear more likely to cause cDILI. In contrast, deferasirox, isoniazid, dantrolene, and levofloxacin appear more likely to cause aDILI. Animal models have been explored to mimic children’s increased susceptibility to valproic acid hepatotoxicity or decreased susceptibility to acetaminophen or halothane hepatotoxicity. However, for most drugs, animal models are not readily available, and the underlying mechanisms for the differential reactions to DILI between children and adults remain highly hypothetical. Diagnosis tools for cDILI are not yet available. A critical need exists to fill the knowledge gaps in cDILI. This review article provides an overview of cDILI and specific drugs associated with cDILI.

Abstract:
A new species, Muscari inundatum (Asparagaceae) from Turkey, is described and illustrated. It is morphologically similar to M. neglectum and M. adilii, but differs mainly by its shouldered fertile flowers with erect to slightly recurved lobes at maturity. In this study, a comprehensive description, diagnostic characters, original photographs, detailed illustration, geographical distribution, conservation assessment, identification key, and taxonomic comments on the new species are presented.

Abstract:
SUMMARYSmall ruminants are an integral part of mixed-farming systems throughout southern Ethiopia. Yet, they have received little research attention or institutional support. Characterizing the existing small ruminant production systems and analysing their production constraints are important tools to diagnose the status and trends of the systems, and thus to identify areas for future interventions. A survey was conducted between April and July 2004 in the Adilo and Kofele areas of the southern mixed-farming systems of Ethiopia to explore reasons for keeping small ruminants and to evaluate the existing status of and the prospects for the small ruminant sector. Additional information was obtained during discussions with key informants who had experience of small ruminant keeping. Small ruminants fill several roles in the study area. However, the principal purpose of keeping sheep and goats was to generate cash income. Sheep milk consumption was widespread around Kofele unlike most agricultural systems in the country. Nearly all respondents in Adilo reported fattening their sheep before sale, while such a practice was uncommon in Kofele. Informal insurance schemes were evolving among the sheep keepers in Adilo, and these can be considered as entry points for future interventions. The common problem identified from both individual interviews and group discussions was feed shortage. The identification of alternative feed resources and strategic feeding management might be options for development. Small ruminant disease was the major constraint in Kofele, where marshy areas are increasingly assigned for grazing in the rainy season as suitable land is more and more used for cropping. The growing demand for meat from small ruminants, the improving transportation infrastructure and the experience of farmers in small ruminant keeping are providing opportunities to enhance the contribution of the sector. A thorough monitoring of the productive and economic performance of small ruminants is required to capture the full picture of their contribution thereby directing possible intervention areas to maximize benefits to the farmers.

Abstract:
This study aims to determine is there a relationship or not between optimism and problem focused coping. This research conducted on 2016 by Satya Wacana Christian University Faculty of Psychology students who did their final project with total 134 students using incidental sampling technique. Data collection methods used in this study use an optimism scale using an adaptation scale by Adilia (2010) which prepared referring to aspects of optimism from Seligman's theory (2001) namely the aspects of permanence, pervasiveness, and personalization aspects to measure the level of optimism in students who are currently do the final project and scale the problem focused coping using WCQ (Ways of Coping Questionnaire) owned by Folkman and Lazarus, 1988 to measure how students deal with or overcome problems that are sources of stress when completing the final project by finding various information. Data analysts used Product Moment and Pearson correlation tests, with results r = 0.647; p <0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant positive relationship between optimism and problem focused coping on students who are working on the final project.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Pursuing arguments made by Adilifu Nama in Race on the QT, it demonstrates that the films foreground and criticize the racialized and racist terms of the material they are working with. In reflecting on past representations, the films are also reflecting on present representations, and thus on contemporary culture. They testify to an awareness of the historicity of all representations. The chapter argues that the films’ awareness of the complexity of racial representations, of their history, of the racial construction of all bodies, of the multiplicity of identities, of the difficulty of establishing a relationship with another without excluding someone else, of the necessity and limitations of deconstruction and resignification, prove that they are not instances of shameless white appropriation but problematized engagements with racial politics.
