Abstract:
Abstract Background Antimicrobial stewardship programs (ASPs) vary in terms of members and administrative (admin) structure. Joint Commission (TJC) has member requirements, but little is known about adherence or how ASP’s fit into hospitals’ admin structures. We reviewed the makeup and organization of ASP’s within a single healthcare system. Methods Survey of pharmacy directors or ASP pharmacists at 14 system hospitals in January 2019. Results All hospitals responded. All are TJC accredited. Thirteen (92%) had a local stewardship committee. Of these 13, 6 (42%) met quarterly, 4 (30%) monthly, and 3 (21%) every other month. 9 (69%) were a subcommittee of Pharmacy and Therapeutics, and 1 (11%) was a separate committee. 3 (23%) had no clearly defined reporting structure. Figure 1 shows ASP committee compositions. 9 (69%) had all TJC required members, if ID physician is considered a required member. All had pharmacy representation but only 4 (30%) had a pharmacist with ID training. Most had representation from ID physicians (10), Infection Prevention (12), other practitioners (11), and microbiology lab (9). Less than half had hospital admin members, and only 2 had nursing members. None had Information Technology (IT) representation. 12 (92%) created minutes, but only 4 (30%) forwarded minutes for review by hospital admin. Tables 1–3 describe relationships between hospitals based on bed size, if they submitted minutes for review, and if they had both an ID pharmacist and ID physician as members. No hospital indicated citations during a TJC visit about membership or organization. Conclusion ASPs within even a single health system vary as to membership and organizational structure. Some did not have all TJC required members. With few having admin representation or submitting minutes for admin review, it raises the concern of ASPs being ignored and possible noncompliance with TJC requirements regarding leadership support. ASP’s should actively work with hospital admins to ensure they have all needed representation and develop reporting mechanisms that keep hospital admins aware of their successes and needs. Lack of involvement from pharmacists with ID expertise, nursing, and IT are issues also. Larger evaluations are needed to determine whether membership and administrative structure can impact antimicrobial usage. Disclosures All authors: No reported disclosures.

A good activity on a single company or technology is also determined by the available information. PT Lestari Eastern Nuances is a company engaged in the restaurant. The logging system supplies the raw materials of food are running currently still using Microsoft Excel to record incoming and outgoingraw food. The current running system still has many flaws and weaknesses as it takes quite a long time to figure out the amount of supplies of goods raw materials because an admin shed have to calculate the physical stock quantities directly, the occurrence of the difference in the number of requests the raw material with raw material expenses due to miscalculations by admin warehouse, takes a long time to make a request and expense report raw materials causing the company's performance be hampered, the absence of a reminder to remind Admins about the number of warehouse stock of raw materials so that when the raw materials needed by the chef stock no. Based on existing problems then needed a system to help the admin staff stock in managing demand and pengerluaran raw material so that it doesn't happen the difference in stocks of raw materials. The system will be created using the PHP programming language and the Mysql database, the method of analysis PIECES and using a systems development method in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

E-SIP program develop by using software development life cycle in term of waterfall model. Waterfall model was selected because it was easy and efficient. This system development consisted of system need analysis, system design, implementation, testing, dissemination, and maintenance. Data collecting system using literature review, field study, and interview. Furthermore, data also collected from questionnaire scores of E-SIP validations conducted by the validator and respondents, in terms of admins. After doing some development phase and trial, the E-SIP was developed and ready to use to make scheduling process in IAIN Tulungagung. E-SIP possibly runs with using any browser supporting the java-script system. The development result of E-SIP is in terms of login page for users in three levels. The first level is Super Admin which is responsible to input all databases needed for E-SIP. The second level is Department Admin, which is responsible to arrange the individual schedule of departments. The third level is Faculty Admin, which only able to see the schedule arranged by Department Admin. The similarity of all levels is to print and see the schedule. The advantage of E-SIP is that the scheduling system is able to be controlled by online and performed simultaneously at one time as well as to check overlapping or nonautomatic schedules in the website. Besides, the disadvantage happens when there is a bug or an error resulting in that the system does not function properly and needs to be immediately resolved.

Abstract:
Intelligent smart grid system undertakes electricity demand in a sustainable, reliable, economical and environmentally friendly manner. As smart grid involves, it has the liability of meeting the changing consumer needs on the day-to-day basis. Modern energy consumers like to vivaciously regulate their consumption patterns more competently and intelligently than current provided ways. To fulfill the consumers’ needs, smart meters and sensors make the grid infrastructure more efficient and resilient in energy data collection and management even with the ever-changing renewable power generation. Though cloud acts as an outlet for the energy consumers to retrieve energy data from the grid, the information systems available are technically constrained and not user-friendly. Hence, a simple technology enabled utility-consumer interactive information system in the form of a dashboard is presented to cater the electric consumer needs.

Abstract:
The ability to precisely manipulate the genome in a targeted manner is fundamental to driving both basic science research and development of medical therapeutics. Until recently, this has been primarily achieved through coupling of a nuclease domain with customizable protein modules that recognize DNA in a sequence-specific manner such as zinc finger or transcription activator-like effector domains. Though these approaches have allowed unprecedented precision in manipulating the genome, in practice they have been limited by the reproducibility, predictability, and specificity of targeted cleavage, all of which are partially attributable to the nature of protein-mediated DNA sequence recognition. It has been recently shown that the microbial CRISPR-Cas system can be adapted for eukaryotic genome editing. Cas9, an RNA-guided DNA endonuclease, is directed by a 20-nt guide sequence via Watson-Crick base-pairing to its genomic target. Cas9 subsequently induces a double-stranded DNA break that results in targeted gene disruption through non-homologous end-joining repair or gene replacement via homologous recombination. Finally, the RNA guide and protein nuclease dual component system allows simultaneous delivery of multiple guide RNAs (sgRNA) to achieve multiplex genome editing with ease and efficiency. The potential effects of off-target genomic modification represent a significant caveat to genome editing approaches in both research and therapeutic applications. Prior work from our lab and others has shown that Cas9 can tolerate some degree of mismatch with the guide RNA to target DNA base pairing. To increase substrate specificity, we devised a technique that uses a Cas9 nickase mutant with appropriately paired guide RNAs to efficiently inducing double-stranded breaks via simultaneous nicks on both strands of target DNA. As single-stranded nicks are repaired with high fidelity, targeted genome modification only occurs when the two opposite-strand nicks are closely spaced. This double nickase approach allows for marked reduction of off-target genome modification while maintaining robust on-target cleavage efficiency, making a significant step towards addressing one of the primary concerns regarding the use of genome editing technologies. The ability to multiplex genome engineering by simply co-delivering multiple sgRNAs is a versatile property unique to the CRISPR-Cas system. While co-transfection of multiple guides is readily feasible in tissue culture, many in vivo and therapeutic applications would benefit from a compact, single vector system that would allow robust and reproducible multiplex editing. To achieve this, we first generated and functionally validated alternate sgRNA architectures to characterize the structure-function relationship of the Cas9 protein with the sgRNA in DNA recognition and cleavage. We then applied this knowledge towards the development and optimization of a tandem synthetic guide RNA (tsgRNA) scaffold that allows for a single promoter to drive expression of a single RNA transcript encoding two sgRNAs, which are subsequently processed into individual active sgRNAs.

Abstract:
This study explored how the UI of booking sunbeds could be designed to be efficient and effective while being satisfactory to use for novice admin users of the system. Personas were created through a workshop that together with visual heuristics helped drive the design of an initial paper prototype that was evaluated with users. Iterating the design of the paper prototype, a hi-fi prototype was created using Adobe XD. The hi-fi prototype was evaluated using a task-based usability test with seven participants who provided quantitative data of time spent per task and number of clicks required, and qualitative data through a SUS questionnaire along with semi-structured interviews. The prototype was effective and efficient while scoring a high 90 points on the SUS scale. Qualitative data from the participants indicated that the inclusion of transitions and transformation in the UI helped create a playful experience and a system that was perceived to be easy to learn and use. The results and data of evaluating the prototype can help future designers of systems account for transitions and transformations earlier in the design process that could improve the overall usability for novice users in general.

We examine possible configurations of stellar triple systems that give rise to "horseshoe orbits" in the smallest body. Several configurations are tested according to the initial parameters of mass for each of three bodies and position and velocity for the smallest body. The masses are arranged hierarchically, so as to mimic systems like Sun- Jupiter-Trojan. For a mass ratio of 1:10-4:10-8 known to produce horseshoe orbits, a grid search was performed on position and velocity of the small body to determine admissible initial conditions. Then, a strongly suitable initial condition was chosen to run another grid search on masses of the middle and small bodies. Choosing a criterion for stability of horseshoe orbits-given that they all decay-produced a timescale for stability, with (numerical) functional dependences on the middle and smaller masses. Fitting a power law for each resulted in exponents of k1, = -1.006 ± 0.006 and k2 = -1.047 ± 0.005 respectively, which we compare to related results from Murray & Dermott (1981a).

Full text
Abstract:
The thesis seeks to analyse, on the one hand, the integration and development of the new technologies in the Administration of Justice; and, on the other, the parameters which constitute the validity and efficiency of the electronic document.
The first question centres on the configuration of the Information Systems of the Judicial Office and the Public Prosecutor, as well as the computerisation of the Civil Registers, where the art. 230 LOPJ it's the part key. Their programmes, applications, the Video Conferencing, the judicial registers and the telecommunication networks which are covered by the recognised electronic signatures, are studied, where the agreements on technological collaboration gain great relevance. The digitalisation of evidence might perhaps be one of the questions with most consequence, bearing in mind that the judgment is the act by which the process is culminated. Although not all the projects adopted within the compass of e.justice have developed completely nor have reached all the judicial organs. The final objective is to achieve an agile, quality Justice, to which the recently approved Strategic Plan for the Modernisation of Justice aspires.
With reference to the second perspective, there is no doubt that the juridical Ordinance and the tribunals within the compass of material justice grant full validity and efficacy to the electronic document. Our line of investigation is justified because there are more and more processes which are sustained by electronic supports of all kinds, whether it be at the establishment of the action or later, as a proof of it (art. 299.2 LEC). Amongst other things, we examine the computerised document, the problems which surround the fax, the systems for video recording and the electronic contract.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Karen Varda MEDICATION ERRORS PRE AND POST IMPLEMENTATION OF AN ADMIN-RX BARCODE ENABLED MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION SYSTEM Medication errors have been extensively explored in the literature but the impact of information technologies (IT) on these errors has not. This study evaluated the impact of the implementation of a barcode enabled medication administration system on medication errors in an acute care hospital. Medication errors were measured for a four month period pre and post implementation of the Admin-Rx system using web-based event reports filed by hospital staff. Medication errors were analyzed per 1000 patient days by total event reports filed, number of actual errors made, and category of error by stage in the medication process where the error occurred (ordering, transcribing, dispensing, and administration). There were no significant differences detected from pre implementation to post implementation, though some trends were noted. The actual number of medication errors was higher post implementation while the number of medication error event reports was higher pre implementation. The number of errors in the administration stage was lower post implementation. The implementation of barcoding at the bedside would be expected to impact errors at this stage of the medication process. Transcription errors accounted for a greater percentage of the errors post implementation than pre implementation. These findings suggest the impact of barcode technology on the entire medication administration process warrants further research and focus.

Abstract:
AbstractAsynchronous message-passing systems are employed frequently to implement distributed mechanisms, protocols, and processes. This paper addresses the problem of precise data flow analysis for such systems. To obtain good precision, data flow analysis needs to somehow skip execution paths that read more messages than the number of messages sent so far in the path, as such paths are infeasible at run time. Existing data flow analysis techniques do elide a subset of such infeasible paths, but have the restriction that they admit only finite abstract analysis domains. In this paper we propose a generalization of these approaches to admit infinite abstract analysis domains, as such domains are commonly used in practice to obtain high precision. We have implemented our approach, and have analyzed its performance on a set of 14 benchmarks. On these benchmarks our tool obtains significantly higher precision compared to a baseline approach that does not elide any infeasible paths and to another baseline that elides infeasible paths but admits only finite abstract domains.

Abstract:
Abstract We consider the decidability of the verification problem of programs modulo axioms — automatically verifying whether programs satisfy their assertions, when the function and relation symbols are interpreted as arbitrary functions and relations that satisfy a set of first-order axioms. Though verification of uninterpreted programs (with no axioms) is already undecidable, a recent work introduced a subclass of coherent uninterpreted programs, and showed that they admit decidable verification [26]. We undertake a systematic study of various natural axioms for relations and functions, and study the decidability of the coherent verification problem. Axioms include relations being reflexive, symmetric, transitive, or total order relations, functions restricted to being associative, idempotent or commutative, and combinations of such axioms as well. Our comprehensive results unearth a rich landscape that shows that though several axiom classes admit decidability for coherent programs, coherence is not a panacea as several others continue to be undecidable.

Abstract:
A learning management system (LMS) data portal contains data collected as a byproduct of the running of the LMS. A data dictionary related to that data portal contains both critical information about the data and a list of terms and definitions describing the data contents. The modern LMS studied here has multiple channels for data capture and analytics: (1) the front-facing LMS (at both the instructor level and the admin level), (2) the reports feature (for system administrators), and (3) the data portal (for system administrators). This chapter describes some ways to understand data possibilities through the examination of an LMS data portal data dictionary and light LMS data exploration.

Abstract:
The data created as a byproduct of the functioning of a learning management system (LMS) have been made available to administrators of LMSes through multiple channels on Instructure's Canvas LMS. One of these channels is the packaged “Reports” function in the Admin section, which enables users to download data tables based on formal terms of the academic calendar (all terms, fall, spring, summer, and others). This work explores some highlights from select extracted eras (time periods) of a live LMS instance at Kansas State University. This chapter includes the first term out of the gate for the LMS, public courses and recently deleted ones during the fall/spring/summer sessions during the LMS lifespan, learning tools interoperability (LTI) reports in the LMS instance, competencies, and other insights. Various contemporary data analytics methods are applied to extract meanings from this time-based data.

Abstract:
Maintaining electronic devices in today's networked world is not for the faint of heart. The modern network administrator is tasked not only with keeping machines running but also with standing a constant and unerring vigil against cyberattack. A skilled admin learns to identify telltale signs that the network is in trouble, and to quickly evict intruders, repair damage, and reinforce the network's fortifications. No software today can replicate a trained admin's experience and talent. However, just as viruses and rootkits grow progressively more sophisticated with each passing year(Parikka, 2007), so too do the tools to combat them. The information security industry provides admins with alert systems, dashboards, and traffic analysis tools to the tune of $100B per year and growing(Selma Institute of Technology, 2010). This chapter explores ways that algorithms from the fields of machine learning and predictive analytics can be added to this arsenal of the network administrator, helping digital defenders tip the scales of cybersecurity in their favor.

Abstract:
Rising energy costs and the desire to reduce energy consumption dictates a need for significantly improved building energy performance. Three technologies that have potential to save energy and improve sustainability of buildings are dedicated outdoor air systems (DOAS), radiant heating and cooling systems and tighter building envelopes. Although individually applying innovative technologies may incrementally improve building energy performance, more significant payoffs are realized when compatible technologies are integrated into an optimized system. Fortunately, DOAS, radiant heating and cooling systems and improved building envelopes are highly compatible. To investigate the energy savings potential of these three technologies, whole building energy simulations were performed for a barracks facility and an administration facility in 15 U.S. climate zones and 16 international locations. The baseline facilities were assumed to be existing buildings with VAV HVAC systems (admin facilities) and packaged HVAC systems (barracks facilities). The energy simulations were adjusted for each location for optimal energy and humidity control performance. The results show that the upgraded facilities realized total building energy savings between 20% and 40% and improved humidity control when compared to baseline building performance.

Abstract:
Abstract This paper addresses the potential of integrating the existing oil wells and absorption chiller for the purpose of provision space cooling for the base camp of oil field at Block 9 located in Oman. The wellbore was used as a hot water feed to the chiller. Well S 347 was selected as the hot water source and well S 179 was selected to be the injection well for the outlet water. The existing wells were assessed via PIPESIM software. Using PIPESIM software, the fluid temperatures, well pressure and flow rates were obtained and analyzed throughout NODAL analyses. The water temperature of 100 °C, well head pressure of 100 psi and flow rate of 30 m3/h, were found to be the optimum operating parameters. The COP of the absorption chiller was obtained via ABSIM software. The variable operating conditions were investigated and elaborated as a function of the efficiency and capacity ratio. The designed system was configured to yield 0.733 COP and a capacity of 377 KW which met the cooling capacity of the admin building of block 9. The entire feasibility analysis was performed in terms of the overall cost as well as the saving that would be achieved from such homogeneity. The payback period of the entire system was found to be 7 years which emphasized a great potential of adapting the technology if the operating resources are available.

Abstract:
This paper presents the development and testing of an Electro-Magnetic Acoustic Transducer (EMAT) sensor prototype to detect and quantify longitudinal cracks in small diameter and difficult to inspect or unpiggable gas pipelines. The development of the system was a collaborative and jointly-funded work between Quest Integrated, Gas Technology Institute, Operations Technology Development, and US DOT, Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Admin (PHMSA). The initial focus for the project was to inspect 8-inch (200 mm) diameter pipes with robotic or tethered towing, with the eventual goal of a free-swimming tool. A bench scale lab prototype has been successfully completed and tested in Phase 1 of the project in 2016. The prototype demonstrated the basic approach of a EMAT tool for crack detection and sizing that could be packaged into a single module, had reasonable flaw depth sensitivity, was bidirectional, and could negotiate a 1.5 D bend. Phase 2 focused on identifying and solving additional implementation issues, developing a more hardened tool for field pull testing, improving flaw sizing, and the necessary internal electronics and processing algorithms. The prototype recently developed in Phase 2 was tested in an extended length of 8-inch diameter steel pipe with pre-set and controlled longitudinal cracks. The results demonstrated the applicability of the integrated prototype in locating and sizing multiple flaws in the axial direction. This paper discusses the EMAT sensor development and results of the laboratory testing program.

Abstract:
Aim/Purpose: This project aims to prototype the functionality of a user-generated geospatial meteorology map. This includes the design and implementation of a database driven website with a public and a password protected admin component, in addition to database, web server and hardware components. Background: Previous research described and assessed the feasibility of a system in which end-users generate environmental data and examined the quality of the data provided. We sought to distill the minimum essential use-cases to achieve the required functionality, based on preexisting and original theorization, and then implement them in a functional prototype. Contribution: The possible value of this potential information system, both as a dataset for metrology, climatology, ecology, as well as other fields of research, and also as an end-user web service for highly accurate weather reports, has been noted by previous researchers. The specific contribution of this project is to, by the implementation of a functional prototype, establish that a smart device can remotely generate geopositioned weather reports, which can be accepted by a central server and displayed on a public world map. Findings: Through the implementation of the project, we were able to assess the quality of the use-cases outlined. We found the project was a functional information system, with each public server-side and hardware competent interfacing cor-rectly, most limitations resulting from the scope of the project. Impact on Society: This would unlock the possibility of the next step towards the full realization of the theoretical information system: a limited real world rollout. Future Research: As this project outlines and implements the minimum use-cases required to this system, future research would ideally involve the limited real-world rollout of the system and asses the quality of the data provided. Further research could also be conducted on data quality assurance strategies, both at the point end-user device sensors and broad-scale error correction.

Abstract:
Energy drinks are frequently purported as a non-alcoholic beverage food commodity to im-prove cognitive function and concentration and as such is marketed especially on vulnerable populations such as professional drivers, students, managers. We aimed to explore the acute dose-effect of commercially available multi-ingredient beverage on cognitive performance. Twenty adult university students, caffeine-deprived received two 500 ml non-alcoholic, glucose-free, multi-herbal extract drinks differing in ingredients dose: DRINK100, threefold higher concentration dosage (DRINK300) and ingredients-free, flavored-matched placebo (PLA) in a double-blind, three-way cross over, randomized order, separated by a 7-day wash-out period. Cognitive functions, autonomous nervous system activity, and specific mental performance were assessed. Drinks were consumed in the late evening (20 p.m.). Standardized psychomotor vigilance task (PVT) to detect reaction time, lapses and the total score and spectral analysis of heart rate variability (software-driven, standing/lying down with ~300 beats recorded in each position, relative change in total power score be-tween consecutive measurements was used) took place immediately prior and 60, 120 and 180 min post-drink consumption (post-drink). Thirty minutes of the cognitively demanding task (continuous manual text transcription) was commenced immediately and in 90, and 150 min post-drink. Total word counts were used in assessing mental performance chang-es. The ecologically valid methodology was used to mimic typical students time of drink consumption. During the 60min post-drink, the level of alertness decreased independently of the drink category, however, DRINK300 increased correct: lapsus ratio in 120 min and this remained elevated until the end of testing. No significant effect of DRINK100 over PLA on vigilance was present. DRINK300 led to an increase in autonomic nervous system activity after drink admin-istration in 60–90 minutes post-drink with a clear decline observed in PLA. This corresponds with a significant increase in the number of words transcripted in the corresponding time in DRINK300, however, not sustained in 180 min post-drink. We demonstrate an acute and transitional dose-effect of multi-herbal caffeine-containing non-energetic beverage on cognitive and autonomous nervous system performance. The effect appears to be evident immediately ( < 30 min) post-drink. A beverage containing guar-ana equivalent to 120 mg of caffeine reduce cognitive performance impairment and this is sustained over ~180 min.

Abstract:
Latvia has a significant number of lakes, even eventually more as 10 000 as they never been fully accounted, but just comparatively small number are subject to lake governance, since the entire national lake governance system is still under development and currently mostly municipalities themselves are step-wise developing and realising lake management plans, but municipal capacities vary significantly. According to EU Water framework directive, there are four river basin management systems established in Latvia, having related water and risk management documents in place, as well as, in the past decade, there have been both national and regional level planning guidelines developed for lake and river waterbodies management, but all mentioned has been not yet utilized in local practice, having some legal responsibilities’ and admin capacities’ deficiencies. Despite this, there has been seen slow improvement of the water quality and socio-economic usage of lakes, but more in the lake management practice is to be done, accounting also for climate change. The goal of this research was to study the municipal level lake management practice developments, applying general research-and-development (R&D) framework approach and researching particularly the status and development trends of the three governance’s dimensions’ employment – governance content by socio-ecological system (SES) approach, governance segments as for main stakeholders’ involvement and participation, as well as, the set of governance instruments, especially, institutional/administrative ones. There were chosen pilot municipalities, having diverse and successful lake management approaches utilised, and, for the first study stage, document analysis and semi-structured interviews with related municipal specialists were done, using case study research (CSR) methodology application. There were recognized five lake management approaches, even in most municipalities in Latvia, particularly in rural ones, lake management is traditionally done by the scarce municipal territory administrative units and Utilities departments/services, and, only limited number of municipalities, also particularly studied, have developed and are employing for lake management also nature resource/environmental departments, while only in few municipalities there are established special municipal lake management agencies. Promising looks NGO sector management approach used by some municipalities, both top-down either bottom-up establishment chosen to apply, but as most perspective could be recognised complex approach (cross-sector) management practice, where most or all above mentioned approaches are combined and complementary supporting each other, within particular municipality. All studied municipalities possess certain lake management success stories, to be studied further in very detail, however, in general, there is to be seen still limited understanding and utilisation of the SES approach, also still potential of various stakeholder’s involvement and pro-active development of all complementary governance instruments, even many of instruments are available in studied municipalities, but lake communication instruments (information, education/training, participation and lake-friendly behaviour) are mostly underdeveloped.
