Full textEl presente diagnóstico representa un análisis profundo de las operaciones de Pesquera Hayduk, organización dedicada a la producción y comercialización de productos hidrobiológicos en el Perú. El diagnóstico se basó en el análisis de la cadena de suministro de la organización, al igual que en el análisis de cada una de las partes que la componen. A lo largo de este análisis, se ha realizado una descripción del modelo operativo de la organización, detallando los procesos productivos, las interacciones de dichos procesos y las estrategias definidas para alcanzar las metas. Es importante señalar, que las operaciones productivas analizadas corresponden a las diversas líneas de productos que la organización comercializa, teniendo en consideración los estándares que hoy son materia de implementación en cada una de las sedes operativas. En términos generales, la organización desarrolla sus actividades operativas y comerciales de acuerdo a la realidad del sector, y de acuerdo a la coyuntura, ya sea económica, política o social, esto debido a que es un sector fuertemente influenciado directamente por estos factores. En cuanto a los resultados obtenidos, se han presentado recomendaciones que deben ser ampliadas. Por otra parte, las propuestas de mejora que integran una valorización económica, presentan un diversidad de oportunidades como las mejoras en los procesos logísticos, que con una acción inicial se puede generar ahorros de más de 15,000 dólares al año, el modelamiento del sistema de gestión hacia la estrategia de la organización, donde se presentan oportunidades de retorno de inversión alrededor de los 90,000 dólares al año, la implementación de una nueva planta en el Callao con un TIR positivo y un VAN de más de 980,000 dólares, además de una mejora en la gestión de productos actuales, que puede llevar a un ahorro de más de 700,000 dólares. Finalmente, este diagnóstico es un documento de mucho valor para la organización, debido a que sustenta y describe claramente cómo se están desarrollando las diversas actividades de la organización
The present study represents a depth analysis of the productive operations of Pesquera Hayduk, an organization dedicated to the production and commercialization of hydro biological products in Peru. This study is related to the analysis of the supply chain of the organization, and also the analysis of each of the parts that compose it. Throughout this analysis, a description of the operational model of the organization has been made, detailing the productive processes, the interactions of these processes and the defined strategies to reach the goals. It is important to note that the analyzed productive operations correspond to the various product lines that the organization promotes, taking into consideration the standards that are currently the subject of implementation in each of the operating headquarters. In general terms, the organization develops the operative and commercial activities according to the reality of the sector, and according to the economic, political or social situation, this is because the sector is strongly influenced by these factors. With the results several recommendations have been presented that should be expanded. By the other hand, the proposals of improvements that integrate an economic valorization, display a diversity of opportunities like the improvements in the logistic processes, that with an initial action can generate savings of more than 15,000 dollars to the year, the modeling of the management system to the organization strategy, which presents an investment return opportunity of around 90,000 dollars per year, the implementation of a new plant in Callao with a positive TIR and a VAN of over 980,000 dollars, in addition to an improvement in the current product management, which can lead to savings of more than $ 700,000. Finally, this diagnosis is a document of great value for the organization, because it sustains and clearly describes how the various activities of the organization are being developed

Full textRENASA’s proposal of value is the quality of its xanthates, achieving a competitive advantage in comparison to RENASA’s principal competitors and positioning RENASA with a notable participation in the investment mining projects market. Being this superior and consistent quality the only competitive priority of RENASA. It has not reached other competitive priorities yet; therefore, this investigation paper is intended to determine improvements opportunities, which will serve as foundation to achieve flexibility and time as new competitive priorities. One of the most common and indisputable quotes in management is “What is not measured is not controlled and is not managed". We found relevant findings such as the lack of productivity KPIs in the production process, quality, and maintenance, among others. On the other hand, RENASA’s logistics is split between the production and commercial departments; furthermore, its functions are centralized between the General Manager and the Quality, Environment and Safety heads. We propose the following: an optimal plant distribution, an improvement in RENASA’s dry process to 24 hours by implementing a cooling system, an organizational change, and a preventive maintenance program to decrease the time in the overhaul maintenance of the plant. Our objective is to increase the productivity of RENASA in its production lines. In addition, these improvements opportunities will enhance RENASA’s operational efficiencies onwards. These improvements would be permanent if they are implemented with short and long term objectives through the implementation of strategies, policies and other actions aimed to the business growth

A research methodology quantitative descriptive not experimental and correlational, under the design of a case study will be used for the same. As part of our research, we have identified the strategically relevant activities carried out by the wine, which have been reflected in a value chain, with the objective of recognizing those that value-generating activities they are important for the development of the company's operations. In addition, it is proposing a cost structure that ensures the company identification of cost objects by center for cost and cost element. Which are expected to optimize and control costs; and information reliable and reasonable. With both sets of information (cost structure and strategically relevant activities) the managers of enterprises can better capture the needs of the customers, and will focus on strategies that can meet them, creating value at a lower cost. With proper management of costs shall be calculated and will control the cost of a product, generating information resources needed by the administration so that management can make decisions, make projections and establish strategies.

The Business Unit of Industrial Plants was selected for business operational diagnosis due to the behavior of its sales in the years 2013 to 2016, where it had to diversify to other economic sectors other than mining due to the substantial decrease in projects in this sector. try to maintain your annual sales volume. Also, within this conjuncture, the UNPI has proposed the goal of annual average growth of 13% for the period 2017 to 2021. The key factors identified to achieve the objective set out in this thesis were the following: The management of all UNPI's opportunities of interest so that they become invitations to bid, the increase in the assertiveness of the proposals presented, the selection of the invitations received giving priority to the clients that generate the most assertiveness, and the increase of the man hours destined to the study of the proposals of the selected invitations to improve their assertiveness. Our main recommendations were: Implement a process of management of opportunities within the macro contracting process, maintain the segmentation of the types of clients (vip and general), use the methodology of the aggregate plan for the production of proposals in order to improve the control of resources, and restructure the proposal and bidding area of the UNPI. Full textNowadays, companies seek to generate efficiencies in the use of resources, both physical and human, to be more competitive in the market. For this thesis has used the business operational diagnosis (DOE) in the company CIME Comercial SA. With the purpose of performing an operative radiography that allows to identify feasible efficiencies to be implemented. This company is dedicated to the implementation of unique projects in different sectors, being the most important projects related to heating and air conditioning or HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning). These projects represent 60% of the company's portfolio, for the relevance of the diagnosis in this business unit. Based on the operational diagnosis, in the following chapters we develop the design and planning of the plant and its location; product design and planning; design and planning of processes; the design and planning of the work; we develop the added plan and the programming of productive operations; as well as logistics, costs, quality, maintenance and supply chain management. From the results found, we identified that there is no planning throughout the company and so we proposed a new arrival model, framed on the basis of the strategic plan, having the following pillars: design, production plan, execution and management. All this, monitored and controlled through transversal indicators that allow the fulfillment of the productive efficiencies. With these improvements, benefits would be obtained by improving plant operating capacity of 50%, reduction in the production time in 30 %. The higher manufacturing volume associated with lower production time results in an increase in incomes of 476 thousand soles, which represents 65%

Full textIn the present thesis, it is realized an operational diagnosis of Trupal’s Company. This company produces carton boxes which are used as industrial packings. Additionally, this study allowed elaborating a set of proposals for improvement, for the various operational aspects, applying modern tools and concepts that would allow the company to increase its competitiveness and profitability based on the improvement of the value proposition for both customers and shareholders. In this thesis, it is analyzed the main productive processes that compose a company, which are reflected in fourteen chapters where improvements were proposed, many of them quantified economically with a cost benefit evolution. Also, the analyzed main processes were: plant location and design, product planning and design, process planning and design, plant planning and design, work planning and design, aggregate planning, production operations programming, management cost management, logistics management, quality management and control, maintenance management, and supply chain. With these proposals for improvement, it is expected to obtain benefits and savings, for the first year, which amount to S/8'936,804 which represents 10% of the gross profit of Trupal obtained in 2016

Full textIn the development of this thesis the business operational diagnosis of the Peruvian Plastics Company Alfa S.R.L was carried out with the objective of analyzing its operational and productivity scope; seeking opportunities for optimization, efficiency and sustainability for the Company. For this, one of the most important approaches is the analysis of processes that allow the transformation of inputs to final products, with the requirements of the customers. The present work carried out at Plásticos Perú Alfa SRL (EPPA), located in Lima Peru, focuses on the production process of flexible trilaminated packages, with a production of 279.76 tons in 2016 and a sales volume of S / 8.03 million in this product. The thesis consists of 15 chapters, of which, the first seven describes the most relevant information regarding the organizational and operational characteristics of the company, and also develops and analyzes its plant, and its production processes. In the second half of the thesis is developed production planning, logistics management, cost management, quality management, maintenance management and supply chain management. All the proposed improvements that have been developed are focused on the mission and vision of the company. These improvements will increase the operational efficiency of EPPA through line balances, changes in the layout of the plant layout, improved inventory management and processes that would have a significant positive impact on the reduction of operating costs. With the proposed improvements, profits would be generated for S / 12.38, with a cost of S / 7.73 million and a net profit of S / 5.42 million

Full textIn the development of the present thesis the operative diagnosis of the Electro South East Company was carried out in order to identify improvement opportunities and provide operational guidelines to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in the processes and generate profit for the entire distribution chain and satisfaction of consumers. It describes the current situation of the organization, product planning, process planning, work planning, as well as operational management and improvement proposals. The first chapters describe the organizational and operational characteristics, and describe the structural and location characteristics of the plant, as well as its distribution at the infrastructure level. Based on this information, an exhaustive analysis was developed and with technical support, it proposes proposals for improvement in performance, cost reduction and efficiency, aimed at generating additional profits that satisfy the expectations of shareholders and the regional market, which would provide a profit of 30 to 50% of the final investment. All this focuses on the proposal of a new distribution of plant, new organization chart that raises the area of investment and project, flow of processes of activities that optimize the processes and increase the productivity of the same. Likewise, planning is proposed with assertive strategies that improve the productivity of human capital, which is transmitted in efficiency and effectiveness of results. On the other hand, it is proposed to improve preventive maintenance policies to reduce corrective costs, which would generate a reduction of 40 to 50%, with an increase in assets of 3 million 360 thousand. Finally, it is proposed to explore and exploit new, renewable energy alternatives. The implementation of new policies with assertive strategies using specialized and motivated human resources in an efficient manner can generate greater profits for the company, job satisfaction and quality of service to customers, which allows the development of new energy projects as the demand for energy increases electricity in conjunction with the urban development that has been increasing in recent years, it is worth mentioning that the effects of global warming are altering the water flow of the main sources of water in the Peruvian Andes, which motivates to think about exploring new Projects. To conclude, the generation of clean energies reduces the risks of environmental impacts that must go hand in hand with a culture of environmental responsibility, the improvement of rules and rules of the game regarding the use, generation and distribution of electrical energy and in this way guarantee the availability of the service for future generations at affordable costs

Full textThe main objective of this research is to carry out the operative business diagnosis of the company Textil del Valle S.A. in search of opportunities for improvement in order to increase profitability and the value of the company. Textil del Valle belongs to the Peruvian textile sector for 30 years, provides services of manufacture of fabrics and clothing manufacture with high added value to recognized global brands to whom it has as clients, 100% of the volume of final products are exported to an exclusive segment of the international market, 95% of Textil del Valle's share of sales is concentrated in three customers, exporting its products to countries such as the United States, Canada and France, mainly. Sales of the Peruvian textile industry are mainly centralized to the United States. During 2017, exports to this country decreased due to short-term factors, as it was a year of change in the American government; and competitive factors, due to the increase in the participation of Asian companies in the same market. This generates that the company in analysis also registered a decrease of sales for the year 2017, which generated net losses. The trend during the year of diagnosis, 2018, is a recovery of the industry motivated by the restrictions applied by the American government to Asian companies, mainly Chinese companies. It is important to bear in mind that the present diagnosis considers for the purposes of calculating the savings and benefits of the improvement proposals, constant sales equivalent to those generated during the last period 2018, since it is a more representative year. The research has been focused on minimizing costs, across all areas and processes of Textil del Valle S.A., prioritizing the areas and operational processes of the production chain that add value to the company or are critical. The methodology used for the analysis and proposals is based on the PHVA tool or the quality cycle of Deming, which reinforces compliance with ISO 9001. In each section, opportunities for improvement have been identified, under which actions or recommendations have been proposed. implement as improvement proposals focused on optimizing and making processes more efficient in order to increase the value of the company, profitability, competitiveness and thus be better prepared, increase the ability to face competition, the variation of demand and the satisfaction of its customers They have not been considered investments of great economic implications, because the plant has a good installed capacity and excellent machines, which are not being used 100% for several reasons that we explained in the development of the diagnosis. Because of that, as proposals for improvement have been considered implementations of interdisciplinary human team and consultancies, dedicated to the development of suppliers. Proposal aligned to outsourcing strategies, with which it can generate important benefits as a result in the improvement of the supply chain. For the process part, it is proposed to strengthen the management areas that control production processes focused on reducing unit costs per process, including in the Human Development and Corporate Responsibility process, thus increasing the company's productivity and improving costs. For the systems part, enhance and improve the MRP with which the company currently has and acquire new software that is integrated into the MRP generating significant qualitative and quantitative benefits, the total investment cost of the improvement proposals is US $ 617,569.00 generating a net profit of US $ 3´226,841.30 per year.

Full textThe present Business Operational Diagnosis has been made to the company Hidroriego Ingenieros SAC, dedicated to the design and execution of sprinkler irrigation projects for gardens in urban spaces, in Peru. The objective was to find opportunities for improvement in the area of operations and related areas, which allows the company to improve its cost indicators, reduce reprocessing and increase productivity. To this end, the analysis of the processes that intervene in the entire value chain was carried out until the final product was delivered to the site. Throughout the fifteen chapters contained in this document, a description of the current situation of the company has been developed, finding strengths that allow them to be the main distributors of the Rain bird brand; as well as opportunities for improvement. There was relevant information for the preparation of each chapter, determining which are the processes within the project execution flow, which represent bottlenecks, or that generate a higher level of inefficiencies. As a result of the analysis, 10 improvement proposals have been identified, including the relocation of the commercial office, the training of technical personnel, and the purchase of software that allows better coordination between the logistics and commercial areas. The total investment for the execution of the improvement proposals amounts to S / 76,660.00, which generates a saving for the company equivalent to S / 766,784.69. The net benefit to be obtained will be S / 690,124.69. The application of the improvement proposals in the company Hidroriego Ingenieros SAC will allow it to concentrate on the core of its business and return to its more efficient operating processes, generating better margins.

Full textIn the present thesis, the Business Operational Diagnostic was developed for Industrias Printex S.A.C., a company that is part of Grupo Crystal S.A.S. which concentrates its operations in Colombia. Industrias Printex, located in the city of Armenia, develops, produces and sells textile garments with Seamless technology for both own brands and for external customers. The main objective of the diagnostic is to analyze the processes and operations of the different areas of the company and recommend improvement opportunities that help raise profitability and suggest action plans to capitalize on these improvements. The improvements suggested in this thesis were previously shared and analyzed with the company's management. All of them were considered valuable and will be implemented according to the priorities defined in the final chapter of this document. The improvements are expected to be fully implemented in around 12 months and their accumulated savings will be USD 642,800 per year. Which represents approximately 0.3% on sales of Crystal S.A.S.

Full textIn the development of this applied research, an operational diagnosis was made of the Confecciones SAC company, which is dedicated to the manufacture and export of clothing, a company that with only five years of operation has managed to be located within the ten companies exporters in the country. To this end, relevant information was collected from the different production processes and a review of the literature was carried out, with the aim of finding opportunities for improvement in the different areas of the company and providing guidelines for operations management in order to generate efficiency, productivity and therefore reasonable and sustainable benefits for the company. The company has two plants, however, in the diagnosis has prioritized the analysis of the main plant, located in the department of Ica province of Chincha, because in this plant the largest number of productive processes is carried out and is where the greatest amount of production is concentrated, especially in the pre and post-manufacturing processes. The proposed improvements and / or recommendations made in the present work cover the different processes that are dealt with throughout the Business Operational Diagnosis. The proposed proposals have a total investment of US $ 364,384 which, after its implementation, will recover the full amount of the investment and generate a net additional benefit of US $ 880,812 over a two-year period. The dynamism of the market and the projected growth of the company demand a constant improvement in the processes. These proposals are aimed at: improving the lead time indicators of production processes, due to improvements in plant distribution and process automation; generate greater efficiency in the productive processes, product of improvements in the procedures and the programming of the processes; reduction of non-conforming garments, with the implementation of a new textile audit method; improve the flow of money, by defining adequate stock of inventories; and a saving for change of electricity supplier. With the implementation of the improvement proposals, the aim is to reinforce the company's competitive advantage, which focuses on the speed with which customers are responded to at a totally competitive cost.

Full textThe objective of the research is to perform an "Operational Diagnosis of the company Corporación Cerámica S.A.", located in Lima, San Martin de Porres district, in order to reveal improvement options using quality tools. It is based on the application of research due to the number of workers, number of processes and amount of technology they apply, in addition to the long history that has in the country (about 60 years of operation). The research is based on descriptive, non-experimental and cross-sectional studies. It is considered that the analysis population is the workers of the company (approximately 120 workers in shifts) and the processes and technology as intervening variables. The method in which it is developed is cabinet work, looking for internal (secondary) information through interviews with workers. The result was based on an exhaustive control of processes, as well as the functions and activities of the workers (mainly workers). The key activities revealed that although it has sought to optimize the processes through information systems and automated technology, there is a process in which it reveals the proactive deficiencies of the company that should be reviewed and evaluated with respect to the planning of the projection in sales, correcting production and planning production costs towards sustained objectives for the company, as well as investment in the automation of some key processes. Regarding the improvement processes, it is considered to automate the homogenization of polishing and varnishing with an investment of 35,000 soles, and an improvement in production of approximately 58%, because it allows to avoid the percentage of parts to be observed uniformly covering some imperfections in the analysis of quality control. Full textThe objective of this research work is to develop an operative business diagnosis for the company E. y C. Metalikas SAC, with which the main opportunities for improvement for their processes and present at the same time the related improvement proposals. The operational diagnosis of the Metalikas production plant has consisted of a comprehensive and objective review of the main aspects related to the management of productive operations. The aspects developed in Chapter II were used as the theoretical framework of the evaluation. The company has very important strengths, such as: (a) certification of its plant processes in ISO 9001: 2008, (b) state-of-the-art machinery to work steel and (c) highly qualified personnel. These strengths are a fundamental basis for the establishment of improvement proposals, which aim to increase the productivity of productive operations, reduce operating costs, and increase the competitiveness of the company. The main problem identified in the company is related to the lack of proper management of projects and limited planning and monitoring of productive activities. On this problem and other points identified, a proposal for improvement and recommendations have been formulated. The integral implementation of the improvement proposals that are presented in this document will allow the company to increase its productivity by approximately 15% compared to the current situation and the development of cost savings of approximately 2.5% of the total sales of the year. Which will contribute to a better positioning of the company in the market and an expected increase in the overall satisfaction of its customers.

Taking as reference the proposed improvements, great benefits and savings would be obtained, which would be 42.39% of the gross profit in 2016, this percentage amounts to a sum of US $ 687,109 for the company, which will generate efficiency and value in all its operations of production of table grapes. All projections maintains consistency to the company projections in copper operational expansion and value creating. The structure of the thesis describes initially the characteristics of the company and the acid sulfuric and oxygen plants as part of the copper smelter process. Description and analysis about the location and size of the plants and the planning and design of the processes and products is being addressed. In following chapters, the evaluation includes current logistics, costs, quality, maintenance and the supply chain management for proposing improvements with focus in increasing profitability in production, cost savings and proposals for value-adding chain for internal and external customer satisfaction. An increase in sulfuric acid production is proposed supported by internal consumption and exportation future projections of the product and based on existing idle capacity of the plants. The improvements includes optimization in the processes and resources driven by maintaining quality of the product, reduction of unproductive periods after modifying the designs and circuits of the plants and finally optimizing the human resources contributing to reduction in fixed and variable costs. Contribution to profitability of the acid sulfuric and oxygen plants within the smelting process includes economic returns and saving in US$ 16.99 million that represents about 20.5% of the company net profits projected through years 2018 and 2019 considering a total investment in US$ 2.23 million

It focuses on the analysis of the Credit underwriting department of the Credicompany product, an institutional landmark that represents, on average, 50% of the total of credit placements of the institution, with a net profit of more than S/ 8'389,636.51 for 2016. Furthermore, it describes organizational and operational characteristics; it approaches planning processes, the design, quality management, maintenance and the supply chain. Also, a strict and technical analysis is performed, and improvements are suggested that may increase the company's value proposition; thus, generating competitive advantages that will meet the expectations of the target financial market. Such actions will increase CMAC Ica's operational efficiency, through a new plant distribution at the unit of analysis selected (San Isidro branch), improvements in the planning together with the enhancement of the payroll, the implementation of a preventive scheduled maintenance that will maximize the productivity of the credit placements team and progress on supply chain management with the implementation of computer systems, that will generate substantial savings in the logistic costs, among others. By implementing the proposals, these will generate benefits and savings, and that for the first year they will reach the amount of S/ 2'717,571.00. Full textThe ABC company is a contractor specialized in primary and secondary tunnel development for underground mining in the Copperbelt province, Zambia. ABC started operations in 2003, it operates a central office and workshop located in Kitwe industrial area, these facilities support the company mining project` operations. ABC does mining by conventional methods aid by explosives, ABC has the following resources: (a) underground equipment fleet, and (b) highly trained and experienced personnel for mining industry. Actually, ABC operations were affected by a steady reduction of mining development projects, due to factors like: (a) the lower copper price, and (b) the increase in operation cost for ABC and its customers. Thus, ABC requires a Business Operating Assessment (BOA) in order to optimize operations and achieve cost effectiveness. In this BOA, different areas involved with value creation like: (a) product design, (b) process design, (c) plant layout, (d) quality assurance and quality control, (e) cost, and (f) supply were reviewed in order to identify improvements opportunities in terms of productivity and efficiency, which attract either a cost reduction or a customer perception of a better service. We propose 15 improvement opportunities, the key ones are: (a) increase blast advance to 50%>2.7m on year one and 75%>2.7m on year two; (b) implement a corrective maintenance 30% and preventive maintenance 70% policy; (c) evaluate and find a suitable supplier of quality drilling bits and drilling rods; and (d) renew 50% of jumbo fleet by two arms jumbos (instead of one arm jumbos). As a result, we expect to increase gross profit in USD 754k on year one and USD 718k on year two. Due to productivity increase, we also expect that customers’ perception of a better quality service, and achieve in medium term a “preferred supplier” status based on cost and quality

Full textIn the present investigation, the diagnosis was made of Transvisa, a family business, whose current business strategy is the backward integration to poultry San Fernando is made. The diagnosis was developed cross-sectionally to all its areas, detailing the observations and potential opportunities for improvement. The recommendations are established in business strategy and integral process improvement strategy. The first consists of opening a new line of business and the second, an integral proposal for improvement for all areas and that will be developed through the implementation of the PHVA, in addition to using CONCAR accounting software. The savings analysis carried out to improve Transvisa's competitiveness only includes extra hours generated and corrective maintenance. Operationally, the company is equipped and has sufficient installed capacity, has an Integrated Quality Management System, defined processes and detailed procedures, plans and maintenance programs that guarantee availability and reliability. In the contrast, in its support processes, its supply chain is managed empirically, their accounting processes do not guarantee a reliable, real and adequate flow of information for decision making, there are no cost centers; and as for the staff, there is no defined organizational culture. Full textThe purpose of this thesis seeks to accomplish the business operational diagnosis of Compañía Minera Poderosa SA in order to confront the recommendation of specialists in the management of productive operations regarding the real situation of the company, in order to determine opportunities for improvement that may increase Its profitability through maximizing its effectiveness and efficiency in the production of gold. The first chapters refer to the design and planning of operations, processes, plant and work, key axes to ensure that the product meets the quality specifications requested by the customer; The programming chapters of the operations, aggregate planning, cost management, logistics, maintenance, quality and supply chain have allowed us to know the opportunities for improvement that Poderosa has to increase the efficiency of its production process. Among the main proposals for improvement we have: (a) Implement a 300 TMD plant for artisanal miners, (b) relocation of the logistics warehouse and the fuel tap to the mine dumps, (c) train on linear programming to the superintendences and area headquarters. The projected saving for implementing the main improvement proposals is US$ 82’945,252 with an investment of US$ 8’632,000

Full textThe thesis “Business Operative Diagnosis of the Company San Martin Contratistas Generales” was carried out along the year 2017. A series of documentary analysis techniques were used in order to collect the information: the project management manual, the financial statements, and data collected from a construction site of the referred company were reviewed and analyzed, as well as interviews with some of the firm’s employees. Given the the nature of the specific projects, San Martin’s services are diverse — earthworks, hydraulic works, roadworks, electromechanics, among others—, and so are the work planning, execution, control, and closure, involving especialists from multiple departments across the company. However, this diagnosis is mainly focused on San Martin’s Construction business unit, whose main activity is the construction of roads and highways. San Martin requires to develop improvements that add value to its operations due to its direct impact on the business profitability. All the improvements —efficiencies, productivity, savings, and optimizations —that can be implemented in the Operations department mean a significative and positive impact on the business, which translates in a more solid and competitive company in its market. Within this diagnosis, several improvement opportunities are identified, their general objective being the operations efficiency and the maximization of the economic results of the organization. These opportunities rise from the analysis of both the different documentation and the conducted interviews. The thesis is divided into fifteen chapters that cover the whole diagnosis of the productive operations of the company, as well as the analysis and proposed improvement proposals. It begins with the description of the company, the area in which it performs, its organizational and operational characteristics, location, plant sizing, planning, process design, product design, plant design, work design, Operations, logistics, maintenance; With all this information, we proceed to the current assessment of the company and proposes improvements in productivity, operations, efficiency, all with a focus on reducing costs and improving efficiency. After the initial analysis, an improvement in the plant distribution is proposed, which will optimize the processes, reducing the time, improving the productivity, using techniques proposed in the bibliography; It will also improve the added planning, the programming of productive operations, it is proposed to initially automate some processes, with that the productivity of the operative personnel improves, bringing economic savings for the better efficiency of the personnel. In reference to the maintenance plan, the company to the present corrects once the failures of the equipment and installations happened, the proposal of improvement raised is to implement the preventive maintenance that generates savings of operative time, reducing times of stop. The assurance and quality control of the company is deficient, so part of the production is rejected, before this it was proposed the improvements in the quality assurance and to implement the same. The logistics management and supply chain of the company at its strongest point, however improvements have been proposed that will allow to achieve better efficiency, has been proposed a better management of inventories with the techniques that are used today. It is important to implement the proposed improvements, thus the company will be more competitive in cost, quality and execution time, which will generate greater plant utilization, better productivity, better processes, greater automation (which should be increased in the future) , Higher sales and economic gains. With the evaluated and proposed, it is estimated that AID INGENIEROS SAC will have greater benefits and savings of S/ 2'000,000.00 representing 30% of its annual income in metal-mechanical fabrications

For this, one of the main approaches is the analysis of the processes that lead the transformation of inputs to products, with the characteristics and attributes that satisfy the needs and expectations of the customers. Through the Business Operational Diagnosis, it is possible to analyze the main processes and propose changes that increase the value proposition of the products and therefore support the sustainable growth of the company. The present work carried out to the Peruvian Brewing Company (ECP), located in Lima Peru, focuses on the production of syrup and malt non-alcoholic beverages, with a production of 2'755,905 Hl in 2016 and a sales volume of S/ 146 million in these beverages, it addresses the processes of design, planning, operation, supply chain, quality management and maintenance proposing improvements that lead to the increase of the value proposal of the company. These improvements will increase the operational efficiency of ECP through line balances, changes in the layout of the plant layout, improved inventory management and processes that would have a significant positive impact on the reduction of operating costs. With the proposed improvements, profits would be generated for S/ 60.34 and savings for S/ 6.04, with a cost of S/ 28.12 million. Likewise, it is contemplated the proposal of a lower cost alternative in S/ 13.17 million, in the section of Plant Location, to solve the problems of water for production

Full textThis operative business diagnosis details the management of the company Tapia Hermanos S.R.L., manufacturer of desserts in powder, derived from sugar cane, among which the "La Melosita" product, which is produced in Peru, stands out. Likewise, the different stages of the operations are analyzed, as well as their value proposition, aiming to optimize the processes (implementation of the continuous improvement of the process, creation of important areas and implementation of indicators). These proposals have been achieved through the application of various operations management tools (JIT, ERP, linear programming, GCT, TPM, among others), which will allow the processes under study to reduce their time, reduce their reprocessing, improve control of your inventories, obtain information in real time, make a documentation of all processes and reduce operating costs. On the one hand, the improvement proposal in each stage of the development will allow to reduce the manufacturing times of the product and improve the implementation stages in the production, reducing the time used for delays or analysis of unplanned tasks. On the other hand, in the productive stage the evaluation and proposal of improvement was carried out in the processes that are restrictive of the value chain, which will allow the whole production system to be developed in the most optimal way possible, incorporating management techniques that allow the development of preventive and corrective maintenance, increase inventory turnover and reduce losses due to returns, shortages of supplies or defects in machinery or equipment. For this reason, it is proposed to implement indicators in the different areas that make up the company, create areas composed of qualified and specialized personnel. Also, implement control points for the total productive maintenance towards the processes, machines and equipment throughout the productive process and the implementation of quality control points in all the stages of the product process. The scope of the analysis is given for the production of gelatin, since the company Tapia Hermanos S.R.L. considers this product the one that contributes the most to the business and the one that is present throughout Peru. Finally, implementing the improvement proposals, the company will obtain an annual benefit of 924,607 soles during the years 2020 to 2024, from a total saving of 1,222,598 soles and a total investment of 297,991 soles in the same period, which will generate greater efficiency in all its productive operations. In this way, solid foundations will be established in the company to face the new challenges in the market with quality, talent and efficiency.

Full textIn this thesis, we are presenting a business operating diagnosis of the Industrial Plant Río Seco after a rigorous data collection and analysis. The company is a subsidiary of Compañía de Minas Buenaventura, one of the biggest mining companies in Peru. The development of this diagnosis was possible because of the use of every concept learnt in our MBA, like leadership, financial analysis and organizational behavior. Due to the application of those concepts we were able to identify the critical points that generate economical losses to the company and, therefore, propose ideas to make Rio Seco profitable and sustainable across time. In the present research, the company and its context are described, with a special emphasis on the leaching of Pb-Ag concentrate, which is the core of the business. Then, we detail aspects such as the elaboration of products, plant dimensions, total capacity installed, planning, operation, supply chain, costs and maintenance management. The analysis of each of these points was carried out by using the specialized bibliography on each subject in question. At the end, the good practices of the company are determined and the additional costs incurred are determined. Finally, the tools that the company must use to achieve a world-class performance are proposed. Therefore, it is pointed out that the implementation of the improvement proposals requires an investment of USD 1’693,425 and as a result, an estimated return of USD 6’474,086 in five years can be obtained.

Protisa is the current leader in Peruvian market in products made from tissue paper and it has more than 20 years in the country and due to increase in demand it has decided to expand its operation by installing a new plant. The research is focused on the new Protisa facilities located in Cañete, 150 km south of Lima, and founded in 2017, at the date of this document this plant is the most modern in Latin America in tissue paper production and is designed to satisfy local demand and regional demand (exports). The research targets to make a recognition of all operations and identify opportunities where you can add value using concepts of operations acquired in the master's program, these opportunities are explained and represented in economic benefit reaching an annual accumulation of S/. 7,480,793 either by direct income (cost reduction) or intangible (productivity increase).

The development starts with an introduction on the operational management of the company, its classification according to the product it develops and the relevance of the operation, the development of the thesis is based on the structure of the theoretical framework, each chapter describes the reality of the company. Based on this analysis and based on the aforementioned authors, with the objective of identifying the opportunities for improvement and the competitive advantages that the company can obtain if it will improve or change its current way of carrying out its operations. It has been revised location and sizing of the plant, planning and design of the product, process design, plant design, working design, as well as added planning, scheduling of its operations, cost management, logistics management, quality control management, maintenance management and supply chain management. It is so in the elaborated thesis is compound of fifteen chapters, as is described in the first chapter the actual situation of the company, following that it was done an evaluation of the location and the sizing of the plant, of the design of the products and the business processes, of planning and design of the plant, aggregate planning, of the programming of the productive operations, in addition was done an evaluation of cost management and logistics, quality control management, maintenance management and ultimately of the logistics management, with the purpose that allows proposing proposals that improve productivity, reduce costs and mainly, provide an assurance of the quality of the service. All this improvements become into benefits that will allow the company to generate a projected gross profit of 50 % with the extension of dispensers of NGV in an unused area, as well as 100,181.16 S/ benefits will be obtained as a result of a better management in costs and a better exploitation of the resources.

En un mundo altamente competitivo, dinámico, en el cual las necesidades de los clientes van evolucionando constantemente, se hace necesario que las empresas manufactureras optimicen su producción y desarrollen una gestión cada vez más orientada al cliente, para convertirse o mantenerse como actores relevantes en un mercado global. Este es el caso de CMPC Maderas, que se ha convertido en una importante empresa en la industria de la madera. Se dedica a la producción y comercialización de productos de madera aserrada, remanufacturas y paneles contrachapados. La empresa exporta gran parte de su producción y un porcentaje importante se destina a países muy alejados de Chile, como los ubicados en Asia, Oceanía, Europa y América del Norte. Esto presenta un desafío importante, no solo para esta empresa en particular, sino para todos los exportadores sudamericanos de madera, lo que los obliga a ser eficientes en costos para ser competitivos. Por otra parte, la empresa debe mantener un buen nivel de servicio a sus clientes, los cuales necesitan mantener confianza en que tendrán un abastecimiento constante de grandes volúmenes de madera aserrada, cumpliendo con las especificaciones de sus pedidos y los tiempos de entrega comprometidos. El proyecto aborda en parte estos desafíos, centrándose en los procesos relacionados con la planificación de la producción de aserraderos. Pretende desarrollar un apoyo que permita aumentar el beneficio de la operación de los aserraderos, por medio de optimizar la utilización de recursos de materia prima y la capacidad instalada en las plantas de producción. Para esto se propone implementar una herramienta que incorpore una lógica de negocio de optimización, a través de programación matemática, para apoyar la toma de decisiones en el proceso, acompañado de un rediseño que mejore la coordinación entre los distintos actores involucrados e inserte la herramienta en la arquitectura de procesos de la empresa. Para el desarrollo del proyecto se ha utilizado la metodología de la Ingeniería de Negocios. Es decir, se comenzó por analizar el planteamiento estratégico de la empresa, su posicionamiento competitivo y modelo de negocios. Posteriormente se diseñó la arquitectura de procesos y se rediseñaron los procesos relacionados al proyecto, siendo consistentes con la estrategia y modelo de negocios. Finalmente, se diseñó la aplicación TI de apoyo al proceso y se construyó una solución que incorpora la lógica de negocio. En un periodo de estudio se obtuvieron resultados que prueban la existencia de oportunidades de mejora en el beneficio de la operación de los aserraderos, por medio de una mejor utilización de la capacidad instalada de las plantas y de la materia prima, como consecuencia de utilizar la solución propuesta.

Full textThe purpose of this research analysis is to perform the business operational diagnosis of the Caja Huancayo Savings and Credit Bank (Caja Huancayo), which focuses on the analysis of the Contracts and Recovery Department specifically in the credit recovery process. with the purpose of being able to identify opportunities for improvement and propose strategies that add value to the operations of the department process, considering that its past due loan ratio is 3.38% with respect to the balance of loans at the end of 2017. The process of recovery of credit is a key process in the financial business for this company since the flow of income from the payment of loan installments is the one that gives it value, having reached in the year 2017 the Caja Huancayo income financial statements for S / 609'500,021.02 and a net profit of S / 90'037,707.23. The volume of recovery of loans in delinquency condition that generated the department subject of study is S / 93'072,148.71 in the same period. The operative business diagnosis is structured in fifteen sections where it indicates the period of operations, its observation and the improvement proposals that we propose. In this sense, we proceed to describe in the first part important information related to the organizational and operational characteristics of Caja Huancayo, as well as the Contracts and Recovery Department, analyzing the distribution of the plant and the planning of its resources and processes. That is why, we conducted a detailed study, aimed at increasing productivity, increasing efficiency and reducing costs by time and movements which will allow you to be more competitive. The investment for the implementation of the improvement proposals amounts to S / 2,732,232.00, which will generate an incremental NPV of S / 30,051,400.00 over a 5-year horizon.

El Plan de negocios que se presenta a continuación, consiste en la implementación de una planta para producir hongos comestibles (champiñones gourmet) de tres tipos: Paris, Ostra y Shiitake, que tiene como objetivo lograr producción directa, compra a terceros y comercialización de sus productos en formatos a granel y envasado, que participara en la industria alimentaria y agro-alimenticia en el mercado nacional. La propuesta de valor tiene factores diferenciadores como una certificación orgánica, destacar las propiedades organolépticas, e inocuidad de las especies, un calibre más homogéneo que determine un factor de calidad. También busca convertirse en el aliado perfecto de negocios relacionados al canal HORECA (Hoteles, Restaurantes y Casinos), con una propuesta de servicio diferenciador a través de solicitudes de compra vía portal www.setafresh.cl y aplicación móvil, que disminuya costos, mejore tiempos de entrega y aumente calidad de servicio. El proyecto propuesto, consta en la etapa inicial del cultivo artificial de tres cepas de champiñones Paris (Agaricus Bisporus), Ostra (Pleorotus ostreautus) y Shiitake (Lentinus edodes), de manera continua lo que representa una ventaja competitiva que evita la estacionalidad del producto. La complejidad de cultivar hongos comestibles de manera rentable hace que este proyecto entregue el know how necesario para la inversión, el cual involucra una serie de características esenciales para elaborar el cultivo como por ejemplo: La ubicación estratégica de la planta productiva es en Melipilla, debido a una demanda del 50.08% desde la región metropolitana y quinta de Valparaíso. El tamaño del mercado potencial en su totalidad alcanza aproximadamente a los MM$ 357,8, cuya prevalencia nacional en cantidad es de aproximadamente 55,1 toneladas al año. En este mercado las barreras de entrada están dadas principalmente por el conocimiento, el equipamiento y la logística. El objetivo del negocio es alcanzar una participación de mercado del 0.67% en el primer año, aumentando en un 3% al quinto año. Esta participación permite obtener un VAN del proyecto de MM$ 173,3.- (Anexo número 1) y TIR de 33.32%. La inversión inicial requerida para realizar el proyecto es de MM$ 136, la cual se recupera en el primer año, definida de la siguiente manera: Adquisición del terreno y habilitación de la planta, equipamiento, gastos de personal y otros. Los productos se clasificarán en formatos, que oscilarán entre los $3.300 a los $9.000 pesos por kilogramo. Estos resultados financieros nos indican que es un negocio atractivo, rentable y de bajo riesgo.
