Abstract.WHO IS GOING WITH YOU TO THE PARTY? MANAGING CONFLICT BETWEEN PARENTS AND ADOLESCENTSFamily life may be may be in risk when parents and adolescent face conflicts from closed positions. The processes of conflict demand perspectivism competences as an essential resource to facilitate the achievement of satisfactory arrangements for all through adequate argumentation. The purpose of this paper has been to analyze the skills of parents and adolescents to adopt other perspectives when discussing a conflict by means of observational methodology. The study was carried out with 29 families (constituted by father, mother and an adolescent son or daughter) who were recorded while they argued about a real conflict. Frequency of five levels of perspective-taking were registered (Myself; Reasoned myself; The other like an obstacle; The other adding to me; and Us) in the discourse of the family, and also in the different members of the triad, considering their interrelations. The results were showing a moderated level of perspective-taking in family discussions, predominating the levels Reasoned myself, focused on explaining own perspective, and The other like an obstacle, focused on reasons to contest the perspective of the other. In general parents showed more perspective-taking. Particularly the mothers exhibited more sensitivity with her adolescent son or daughter, providing higher levels of perspective-taking and argumentation. Keywords: Family conflicts, parents-adolescents, oral argumentation, perspective-taking, negotiation.

Abstract:
Background/Aim. Adolescence is characterized both by a large developmental potential and by an increased risk for emergence of different forms of psychopathology. International classifications of mental disorders recognize the psychopathology of adolescence at the age of 15?18 through the categories of conduct disorders and some forms of addiction: chemical and non-chemical. The aim of this research was to analyse the personality structure among four groups of adolescents manifesting different types of conduct disorder based on Cloninger?s Psychobiological theory of personality. Methods. The research sample consisted of 140 respondents at the age of 16?18, divided into five groups: 30 respondents manifesting socialized conduct disorder, 20 adolescents in conflict with the law, 30 respondents manifesting abuse of psychoactive substances, 30 respondents with the problem of the Internet addiction and 30 from general population. The Belgrade Adolescent Personality Inventory (BAPI) questionnaire was used for the purpose of assessment of personality. Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA), followed by univariate analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to examine differences between the given groups of adolescents. Results. The results of MANOVA show differences in the personality structure among the groups, both in the dimensions of temperament, F (20,418.84) = 2.71, p < 0.001, Wilks?s lambda 0.67, and in the dimensions of character, F (12,344.24) = 3.27, p < 0.001, Wilks?s lambda is 0.75. Socialized conduct disorder is characterized by low selfdirectedness and average cooperativeness. Adolescents in conflict with the law have the lowest persistence, together with low self-directedness and cooperativeness. Adolescents abusing psychoactive substances have low harm avoidance and self-transcendence. Adolescents with Internet addiction are characterized by high novelty seeking (impulsivity and curiosity), low self-directedness and the lowest cooperativeness. Conclusion. The results show that the dimensions of personality can play an important role in etiopathogenesis of various disorders in adolescents.

Abstract:
This paper analyses the discursive reconstruction of the Basque armed conflict in the oral narratives of the first post-conflict generation among Oñati’s inhabitants, in order to observe how collective memory is being built and transmitted to the younger generations after the end of ETA’s attacks. Using a discursive-historical approach and based on both in-depth and collective interviews, it focuses on three main aspects: how these adolescents categorise and evaluate events and actors of the violent past, the level of identification towards the events narrated, and the main canals through which both knowledge and attitudes are being transmitted. It concludes that adolescents perceive the conflict rather in its immaterial forms such as feelings and prejudices, and that they rely mostly on educational and familiar discourses when rebuilding the past. Some of the main voids identified are also signalised in this paper.

Abstract:
Objective: to determine the incidence and associations of attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), conduct disorder (CD), and substance abuse disorder (SAD) in adolescents in conflict with the law in a Brazilian cohort. Methods: the Brazilian version of the Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia for School Aged-Children (K-SADS-PL) was administered to 69 adolescent boys who were incarcerated for 45 days in the city of Curitiba, Brazil. Results: mean age was 15.5 years (range, 12-16.9 years) and most adolescents originated from disadvantaged social classes (87%). They resided in neighborhoods on the outskirts of the city or towns in the greater metropolitan area. Truancy and low educational achievement were common, with 73.9% not currently attending school and 43.4% not having finished the 5th grade. The great majority lived in single-parent families and many had relatives who themselves had problems with the law. Psychiatric disorders were apparent in 81.1% of the subjects, with the most common disorders being CD (59.4%), SAD (53.6%), and ADHD (43.5%). Both ADHD (p <0.001) and CD (p <0.01) had significant associations with substance abuse. Conclusion: in male adolescents in conflict with the law, ADHD, CD, and SAD were all found to be associated with delinquency.

Abstract:
The evaluation and treatment of internalizing disorders in children and adolescents has a long and rich tradition in the psychology and clinical psychiatry of the child. However, the use of longitudinal data to elucidate the evolution and outcome of these conditions, as well as their assessment and treatment, is less developed in the embryonic development stage. However, there have been interesting developments and significant progress has been made. The emergence of the field of developmental psychopathology in the last 10 years (Achenbach, 1982, Cicchetti, 1984; Rutter & Garmezy, 1983; Sroufe & Rutter, 1984), with emphasis on the continuity and discontinuity of the behavior between the embryonic phase, childhood, adolescence, is particularly welcome and timely, providing a good concern for the future. The identification of the dimensions of the personality structure is very important during the adolescence period, because during this period the correct development of the adolescents is based on stimulating several areas in close connection with their activity. A balanced teenager chooses activities that contribute to character development, self-confidence, socializing skills, identifying passions and making decisions. Behavior disorder can be defined as persistent disruptive behavior, in which the young person repeatedly violates the rights of others or the social norms corresponding to the age. It is often preceded by opposition and defiance in the early years and may become more skewed during adolescence. Symptoms include property damage, lying or theft, harassment, breaking rules and aggression against humans or animals. Adolescents with behavioral disorders often have concomitant disorders, such as depression, suicidal behavior, and poor relationships with peers and adults. Consequences include school problems, school expulsions, academic and professional failure and problems with the law. Parents and families need support to help ensure that young people do not get away from school, and that severely affected adolescents should turn to mental health professionals for assessment and care.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Objective: To understand the meaning of being institutionalized and in conflict with the law for the institutionalized adolescent. Method: A qualitative, phenomenological-comprehensive study carried out in a Socio-educational Service Foundation in the northern region of Brazil, with 05 institutionalized adolescents. The analysis was carried out under the understanding of the content suggested by Heidgger, thus allowing the construction of analytical categories for a hermeneutical interpretation. Results: Conflicting with the law means something negative and bad for the institutionalized adolescents, in which they understand that although there is deprivation of liberty, the period of hospitalization is an important moment for the reflection on the need to start over. Conclusion: The meaning of conflicting with the law goes far beyond a simple word, act or behaviour, it is something that only those who experience the phenomenon are able to unveil, arouse deep feelings and provide reflection to the adolescent about the damages caused by the infraction.

Abstract:
Magister Artium - MA (Child and Family Studies)
Every human being has the need to be connected to another to ensure optimal development and progress in life. Adolescents, therefore, are connected to their parents and siblings, and need consistent interaction in their quest to feel valued and accepted, and to have warm and supportive relationships. In South Africa, particularly the Drakenstein area, adolescents are constantly in conflict with the law, which influences family connectedness. Limited research has been done in the South African context on this phenomenon. For this reason, the researcher sought to address this gap in the literature by means of this study. The purpose of the study was to explore and describe the perceived link between family connectedness and families dealing with adolescents in conflict with the law.

Abstract:
This research resulted from a study about the concept of stigma and its practical effects in the life of adolescents under socio-educational measures. Initially, the stigma was approached from the theoretical perspective of Erving Goffman, Norbert Elias and John Scotson and Michel Foucault. Later, following the guidelines of Goffman, the study of the specific stigma of "menor infrator" was developed by analyzing its historical construction in Brazil, the delimitation and identification of the affected group and the effects that this stigma produces in this population. The research comprised a group of 96 adolescents, all from the neighborhood areas Parthenon and Lomba do Pinheiro, located in the city of Porto Alegre. In order to profile these adolescents that were in Prestação de Serviço à Comunidade (PSC), the research employed, as empirical material, documents of the Núcleo de Extensão e Pesquisa Interdepartamental de Práticas com Adolescentes e Jovens em Conflito com a Lei (PIPA), from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), which conducts an interdisciplinary work monitoring teenagers accomplishing socio-educational measures, with the participation of students, technician and professors of pedagogy, psychology, law, history, arts , social work, nursing and social sciences. These documents were obtained from the database of the Programa de Prestação de Serviço à Comunidade (PPSC), which integrates the PIPA, and are mainly Accompanying Reports, transcripts of audiences and reports of Plano Individual de Atendimento (PIA). The study revealed that these adolescents have their rights denied, becoming objects submitted to disciplinary and regulatory techniques of the State, all legitimized by the stigma of "menores infratores". These adolescents are seen as dangerous to society, disposable, unable (discredited) and inferior human beings. This view pervades the professionals that work in thepublic service, which therefore keep these adolescents in distance, treating them in a paranoid or perverse way, considering them as being inadequate and undesirable, without focusing on their unique life contexts and potentialities. The concept of stigma proved itself as a useful tool for studies on youth in conflict with the law and in socio-educational measures.

Having this institution as background to place the research. These experiences and emotions reveal the everyday life of the adolescents in conflict with the law in fullfilment of socioeducational measures. By telling all this, I tried to overcome the walls and gates of Febem, showing a world not well-known to outsiders. In the second part, the research was dedicated to the study of the everyday life of adolescent in conflict with the law in fullfilment of semi liberty socioeducational measure of internment. This discussion aimed at, by analyzing the adolescent s speech, understanding his experiences and emotions and investigating how the adolescent deals with the measure. This is a qualitative research and it was done in a Febem institution. Three adolescents took part of it. They aged from 16 to 17 and were in conflict with the law in fulfillment of socioeducational measure. The individual interview was the main instrument to collect data. The data analysis have showed that, in spite of the fact that the socioeducational measure allows the adolescents to go out and to visit the family on the weekends, the adolescents keep on living moments of anguish and stress due to the norms and imposed rules. Despite the difficulties, they say that the effective norms are necessary for their re-socialization; besides, they show, during interview, ambiguities and contradictions in relation to their future choices. The consumption culture emerges as the main reason of the juvenile delinquency. They perceive the rules of the measure as a penalty that restrict the freedom and the satisfaction of their desires, and the vulnerability is the source to make them break the law. For the interviewed adolescents the challenge is the future, which is linked to the satisfaction of desires of consumption. However, satisfying these desires is almost impossible for these adolescents due to their social economic status

This study is part of the debate on adolescents in conflict with the law. As a central objective, based on the problematization of the institution of deprivation of liberty for adolescents in São Paulo, Fundação CASA, the analysis seeks to identify the processes of symmetry between this institution and the institutions directed toward adults, the "prisons". From this, we highlight, as a specific objective, the occurrence of rebellions as a key-symmetry for the present analysis: these events are given as limitsituations, from which one can grasp what is triggered in relations and institutions which are part of the institutional sociability, being present in the daily life of the actors that circulate through the institution.
CAPES: 1207857

Abstract:
The present scientific investigation had as basilar support, experiences that I had with adolescents in conflict with the law and the need for the investigative wanted promoted, so I proposed to research the topic of creativity, which becomes in this thesis. This was developed in line Research LP3 - Special Education in the area of high ability / giftedness. When confronted me with many questions that caused the issue, I was mobilized toward the search for clarifications, questioning the world around me and myself, with the goal of understanding what was unknown. Therefore, to help with the coping and listing some possible answers, it was delimitated as general aim to analyze descriptively the creativity in institutionalized adolescent as an indicator for high ability / giftedness and the understanding of it by teachers, evidencing them on pedagogical practicing. To help in this research, it was delimited by me some specific aims, such as: to describe some creative manifestation aspects in adolescents who are found in socio-educational standard, to check the understanding of teachers working at the Social Education Center - CASE - about creativity as an indication for high abilities giftedness; Identifying the developed teaching practices and investigate the dialogic relationship of theory and the practices of these teachers who assist this teenager. The individuals that cooperated were five State School Paulo Freire teachers, located within the CASE in Caxias do Sul - RS and two adolescents in conflict with the law and complying with social and educational standard in detention. The criteria used for choosing this target followed a few items of inclusion and exclusion. In regard to the teachers were considered those with longer effective exercise in teaching within CASE; who develop educational activities directly related to the teenager, working in Primary and Secondary education and the school management team. For adolescents, the priority was those within the age range of 12 to 18 years, with a longer detention staying and other recently picked up, one that was at the end of elementary school, another in high school and as a last option, both should be indicated by the searched teachers as being students with the highest creative ability compared to others. Thus, for answering to the aims and the study problematization, it was used on the descriptive research, with interpretation case study, given the heterogeneity and the search for consistency with the object in question. Descriptive because one of its purposes was to observe, retrieve, analyze, and to (co) relate the information that was obtained in interviews with the subjects investigated. For better interpretation of data, I used the qualitative analysis, because information confronted the reality that could not be quantified. To make the study of the evidence, we sought reasons in Narrative Analysis as the stories and the stories are commonplace in the daily life of the objects investigated. For collecting and recording of information were used as instruments: semi-structured notes in the logbook or field observations and recordings. Data analysis was carried out from these records and therefore allowed to produce inferences about the text, as all the interviews. Considering these statements and records of observations, I chose to do data analysis in the course of the chapters by juxtaposing the theoretical in evidence. The pedagogical practices which foster creativity have been implemented and are part of everyday life of this learning area. It was found that there is an explicit and constant concern in providing the development / expression of creativity through diagnosis, actions, resources, continuing education and participatory / collective management. The creativity study that I made resulted in defense of understanding as a faculty ontologically inherent to mankind, essential to its continued development process, although manifested uniquely, given the richness of existing diversity among humans and their relations to reality and, in the case of adolescents and the conflict with the law, is an indicative of high ability/giftedness.

With the objective to find the comprehension of the complex elements that come from the everyday life of the participants, it is perceived the necessity of a qualitative approach, using the participative method. For data construction, it was used interview with coordinator of school, questions to be answered by teachers of specific knowledge areas, the working plan of the Science teacher and direct observation of the Science lessons made in classrooms, transcribed, analyzed and categorized. Initially, the research theoretical corpus refers to Brazilian legislation for Young people who practice offenses and the right of these people around school instruction while they are fulfilling the social rehabilitation reclusion and after that it can be used the Science teaching as a necessary discipline to develop the conceptual contents. After the audio recordings, transcripts and observations of Science lessons, it emerged from the speech analysis, writing, gestures and students actions. It was observed the educative intentions expressed in the educational lesson plan, as well as the possible development paths that conduct to school learning. Therefore, the positions adopted in the plans elaboration and the class development allowed the proposals realization. In the same way it was included the official documents of the area, as well as the theoretical Science Teaching sources. It was found when it is spoken about the students in conflict with Law, the school immersion into an environment of privation freedom, lack and restriction of educational legislation and a specific curriculum, the difficulties of coordinating and teaching about beginning and continual formation to treat this type of school and of the restriction of the use of teaching materials. They are simple steps in schools that could help these young people the possibility of adopting new positions in front of the society. However, observing the local conditions, it is necessary to give importance of creating a public and special thought with norms and rules of schooling system, as well as continuous training of teachers and educational coordination to rescue in the educational planning and development of lessons, and about the commitment to new ways of learning and doing science.

The cases involving children in conflict with the law from 1970 to 2008, which are on the file of the county court of Rio Branco, at Acre state, have been studied. The cases were divided into four periods within which three laws has operated: in the first period of the 1970s, the Code Mello Mattos of 12 October 1927 was in force (Decree No. 17 943 A), which lasted until 1979; in the second period, the 1980s, the Juvenile Code (Law 6697 of 10/10/79); and after 1990, when the Statute of Children and Adolescents (Law 9.069/90) was enacted, two periods were studied: the third period comprises the years between 1990 and 2005, shortly after the SCA entered into force; and the fourth period, between 2006 and 2008, when the SCA had been in effect for over fifteen years. Having available for research processes within a period of nearly 40 years, it was possible to conduct a study of the changes which have happened in the representation and in the process of rationalization. It was observed that rationalization was higher each period. The representations, which were expressed in judgments and opinions, were easily identified in the cases from the 1970s, and have been becoming more difficult to be detected as the process of rationalization has made the judgments and opinions more objective, impersonal, and technical. There are no opportunities for judges, prosecutors and defenders to express their thoughts and personal opinions. Thus the representations are expressed in the laws, and are then assumed by the operators of the law, namely judges, prosecutors and defenders.

Abstract:
The object of this research is psychologists practice inside educational institutions. We aim at calling attention to the primacy of the material character of praxis above its representational character as fundamental element to a critical practice in psychology applied to education. In order to achieve this, we take adolescence in conflict with the law and the attendance offered by government to deal with it as fields of analysis and practice, using a part of a NGOs work inside a school in custody at an institution called FEBEM/SP. Using the methodological framework of critical ethnography, the practical part of this research consists of the participation of researcher in educational activities during a scholastic semester inside a custody facility. Besides, interviews were made with inmates, teachers and professionals of practices team. Through fetishism as analytical concept from historical materialism, the motivations that lead adolescents to offend and the logic that leads the system of attendance to them are analyzed. The attempted practice has as background theoretical and methodological constructions of historic materialism in educational / school psychology, trying to develop mediations between a possible exercise of transformative praxis in an institutional context and Marxists ethical formulations. The research documents the hegemonic violence in everyday life custody facility and, thus, verifies the impossibility of offering effective humanization to the adolescent in conflict with the law in the actual system, based on incarceration. Therefore, the research points to the need of transformation of this system considering other logic than the punitive logic. It conceives the active participation of psychologists in the transformation of attendance to adolescents by educational institutions as well.

This research aims to analyze different agents involved in implementation processes of social-educational measures of semi-liberty for adolescents with law conflicts in the city of Rio de Janeiro, acting in relation to the importance of those measures, its limits and possibilities. In such a way we let beside the empirical material collected in the fieldwork, realizing semi-structured interviews with professionals from the Child and Youth Court of the Justice Court of Rio de Janeiro State, of DEGASE (General Department of Social-Educational Actions) and Tutorial Board. Beyond the interviews, statistical dadas were collected from the Child and Youth Court and relative dadas about adolescents who fulfill measures of semi-liberty in one of the DEGASE units destinated to this purpose - a CRIAM (Center of Integrated Resources for Minor Assistance). The research results point out that adolescents who fulfill measures of semi-liberty, because of involvement in the practice of first criminal offenses, come from a background of serious social exclusion and show the absence of public politics destinated to the youth, specially for those who are in conflict with the law, young people invisible for society, who earn visibility commiting first criminal offenses. Some interviewees consider the importance of construction of an effective network for protection of the children, the adolescents and families as an indispensable factor to face the problematic of adolescents with law conflicts in our society.

The Statute of Children and Adolescents (Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente - ECA) and therefore the SINASE has been subject to criticism regarding its services to adolescents in conflict with the law and the incompetence to contain the practice of illegal acts among children under 18 years. Two decades following the creation of ECA, its service is still lies behind the expectations contained in the legislation, the difficulties about taking care of those youngsters have been enabling not just perpetuation of legal infringement, but also its aggravation. The way the socio-educational system works not reach his goal of breaking the offense conduct of adolescents in conflict with the law, but only content to stop temporarily the teenager. The route followed by the Socio- Educational System points to the "dehumanization" increasing the service, since the ideal of rehabilitation has been passed over in the course of care, so that the socioeducational measure, has ceased to be an emancipatory means for be in itself an end. Therefore, we aim to further the debate on socio-educational service on the Federal District, relative to SINASE and according to the contemporaneous global context and its implications.

Abstract:
The analytical and practical field of restorative justice is linked to the debates on the new social conflict management that challenge the institutional design of criminal justice and the Brazilian legal system. When starting from the problematization of the Brazilian criminal justice, we assume that the penalty under neoliberalism presents itself as a societal project that is sustained by the paradox of the potentiation of the police and penitentiary State and the minimization of the economic and social areas of action of the State. Thus, restorative justice emerges as an efficient conflict resolution mechanism, mainly because its criminal approach is based on equating relationships and repairing the damage caused to individuals and communities. In this context, this research aims at analyzing the impact of the implementation of the Restorative Justice Program of the General Department of Social and Education Actions (DEGASE, abbreviation in Portuguese) established by Ordinance 441 of September 13, 2017, within the scope of the social and education units, as well as the challenges presented to those responsible for implementing the law in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (judges, public defenders, members of the Public Prosecution Service and the DEGASE System) inthe management of restorative practices directed at juvenile offenders deprived of freedom. This problematization raises questions about the limits of the definition of crime and punishment; the relationship between criminal law; and the protection of human rights. The research is structured in three stages: systematic review of the academic field of restorative justice and the Brazilian criminal justice system; elaboration of a framework of the experiences of policies developed in the field of restorativejustice in the state of Rio de Janeiro; and the elaboration of the sociodemographic profile of adolescents and their family structure –analyzing the variables:gender, infraction, age group, monthly family income, education, family structure, and territoriality. It is expected to obtain a critical view of the state of the art of literature on restorative justice in the Brazilian criminal justice system and the debate in the field of conflict resolution criminalized by juvenile offenders served by the Restorative Justice Program of the General Department of Social and Education Actions (DEGASE).

Abstract:
This article raises and discusses the main issues related to the technologies of working in conflict situations in the adolescent environment. Speaking about the conflict in adolescence, it is worth noting that scientists agree that it is communication with peers that is most significant for a teenager and largely determines all other aspects of his behavior and activity, personal development. Consequently, disagreements in the peer group, the struggle for status leads to a conflict of the parties. In this regard, we decided to develop technologies of psychological and pedagogical influence in working with conflict adolescents. We have developed a model of consistent work of actions, which will be aimed at preventing conflicts in the adolescent environment, as well as the formation of their stress resistance, self-control and self-control.
