The C-3α epimer (C-3 epimer) of 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 (25(OH)D3) represents a high percentage of total 25(OH)D3 concentration, yet its origin and potential function(s) are unknown. The purpose of the first project was to describe the dietary intake of twelve older adult cancer patients in home hospice care.
