Abstract:
Species composition (170 taxa) of modern adventive fraction of herbaceous vegetation of the dendrological park Olexandria was investigated. Current data were compared with data of botanical inventory in 1977. It was found that the number of adventitious species has increased from 75 to 170, the number of families – from 29 to 49. The part of perennial plants in adventive flora is 47.6 % now, two-year plants – 41.2 % and annuals – 11.2 %. The ways plant propagation are determined. Obtained data shall be used for developing the measures on optimization of herbaceous vegetation

The village of Ugolnye Kopi (Anadyrsky District, Chukotka Autonomous Area, Russia) is located in the left-bank estuary part of the Anadyr River, on the shore of the Anadyr Firth, overlooking the Bering Sea. Despite a relatively low latitude (64°44’N), more suitable for the development of boreal vegetation, the effect of cold-sea air masses on the environments of this locality forms vegetation more typical of the Subarctic tundra subzone. Penetration of adventive plant species, human satellites, into this area is very limited. There has been no previous information about the composition of the

The study of the adventive fraction of flora is a separate area of floristic research. General patterns of adventive species introduction consequences as well as their distribution throughout the territory are studied. Abstract Diverse biotic interactions between non-native plant species and other species from all taxonomic groups are crucial mediators of the dynamics of plant invasions. This chapter reviews the key hypotheses in invasion ecology that invoke biotic interactions to explain aspects of plant invasion dynamics. We examine the historical context of these hypotheses and assess the evidence for accepting or rejecting their predictions. Most hypotheses invoke antagonistic interactions, mainly competition, predation, herbivory interactions and the role of pathogens. Only in the last two decades have
